De 10 grootste profiteurs van de Coronacrisis en de 3 miljardairs die hun vermogen met een explosief percentage zagen groeien

Chuck Colins vertelt in een artikel op CounterPunch over de grootste profiteurs van de Coronacrisis, dit aan de hand van onderzoek door het Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) en Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF).

Het gecombineerde vermogen van de 657 miljardairs in de VS nam sinds het begin van de Coronacrisis met meer dan 1,3 biljoen dollar toe, ofwel met een percentage van 44,6..... In die 12 maanden raakten meer dan 29 miljoen VS burgers besmet met het Coronavirus, voor wat dat cijfer waard is, immers de PCR test is uiterst onnauwkeurig, echter het aantal doden 'door het virus' zou op 535.000 liggen, en ondanks dat daar gegarandeerd mensen tussen zitten die wellicht symptomen hadden van het virus maar onterecht zijn meegerekend, is het getal behoorlijk groot en dat heeft alles met de grote armoede in de VS te maken, plus het gebrek aan medische zorg voor een heel groot deel van die groep..... 

Tja een slechte gezondheid door armoede gecombineerd met een heftig griepvirus (zoals het Coronavirus) is voor velen dodelijk en zorgt derhalve voor grote oversterfte...... Kortom de miljardairs zijn 1,3 biljoen dollar rijker geworden terwijl de sterfte onder de arme groepen VS burgers groot is..... Tegelijkertijd raakten 80 miljoen arbeiders in de VS hun werk kwijt, waar op 27 februari jl. 18 miljoen mensen een werkloosheidsuitkering kregen (in het land van hoop en glorie krijgt lang niet iedereen een werkloosheidsuitkering, om het maar zacht te zeggen......) Overigens zijn er in de VS minstens 14 miljoen kinderen die honger lijden, vergelijk e.e.a. eens met de stijging van inkomens voor de misdadige grofgraai miljardairs.......

In het eerste jaar van de Coronacrisis nam het aantal miljardairs toe met 44 naar een totaal van 658, ofwel aan het begin van de Coronacrisis waren er 614 waren miljardairs....

Het vermogen van de 15 grootste miljardairs nam toe met 563 miljard dollar, ofwel 82% (!!!), de toename van vermogen onder die 15 miljardairs was 40% van de totale vermogensgroei onder alle miljardairs..... De 3 rijkste van deze 15 zijn Elon Musk, wiens vermogen groeide met 136.5 miljard dollar of 559% (!!!), het vermogen van Jeff Bezos groeide 'slechts met' 65 miljard dollar of 58% en Mark Zuckerbergs vermogen steeg met 'een matige' 47 miljard dollar of 86%........

De cijfers zijn terug te vinden in het CP artikel, waarin de schrijver Chuck Collins o.a. ook de 10 grootste profiteurs van de Coronacrisis noemt.

Een andere exorbitante zelfverrijker is Bill Gates, en deze figuur verdient letterlijk tientallen miljoenen aan de Coronacrisis, daar hij grote aandelen portefeuilles heeft in de farmaceutische industrie, bovendien werkt hij samen met farmaceuten. De nieuwste smerige geldkronkel van deze figuur, nadat hij een Coronapaspoort heeft laten ontwikkelen, ook in de vorm van een onderhuidse chip >> een organisatie als de NAVO die bij pandemieën moet optreden, het zal me niet verbazen als hij deze organisatie ook wil bewapenen, zo kan men onwilligen tegen vaccinaties ter plekke afschieten........ Gates en zijn vrouw Melinda hebben met hun foundation, ook belangen gekocht in de ontwikkeling van Coronavaccins......

Alles hieronder gelezen hebbend begrijp ik steeds minder waarom men niet massaal in opstand komt in de VS!!

Who are the 10 Biggest Pandemic Profiteers?

One year ago, the Institute for Policy Studies published “Billionaire Bonanza 2020: Wealth  Windfalls, Tumbling Taxes and Pandemic Profiteers,”  and began tracking billionaire wealth gains as unemployment surged.  We teamed up with Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) to track the wealth growth of America’s billionaires over the last year.  This report summarizes the extraordinary growth in wealth of those now 657 billionaires based on real-time data from Forbes on March 18, 2021.

Here are highlights from the last 12 months of billionaire wealth growth:

+ The combined wealth of the nation’s 657 billionaires increased more than $1.3 trillion, or 44.6 percent, since the pandemic lockdowns began. [See Master Table] Over those same 12 months, more than 29 million Americans contracted the virus and more than 535,000 died from it. As billionaire wealth soared over, almost 80 million lost work between March 21, 2020, and Feb. 20, 2021, and 18 million were collecting unemployment on Feb. 27, 2021

+ There are 43 newly minted billionaires since the beginning of the pandemic, when there were 614. A number of new billionaires joined the list after initial public offerings (IPOs) of stock in companies such as Airbnb, DoorDash, and Snowflake.

+ The increase in the combined wealth of the 15 billionaires with the greatest growth in absolute wealth was $563 billion or 82 percent. [See table 1] The wealth growth of just these 15 represents over 40 percent of the wealth growth among all billionaires. Topping the list are Elon Musk ($137.5 billion richer, 559 percent), Jeff Bezos ($65 billion, 58 percent) and Mark Zuckerberg ($47 billion, 86 percent).

The 10 biggest “Pandemic Profiteers” saw the greatest percentage increase in their wealth—at least 300 percent. [See Table 2]

They mostly multiplied their fortunes in the world of online goods, services and entertainment, as forcibly homebound Americans shopped, invested and diverted themselves in isolation. They include the owners of ecommerce leaders Quicken Loans, Square, Carvana, and cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase; social media sites Snapchat and Twitter; online streaming platform Roku; and digital ad agency Trade Desk. 19 other billionaires experienced increases of over 200% while 48 others more than doubled their fortunes with 100%+ gains.

1. Bom Kim (670 percent/$7.7 billion): A U.S. citizen and founder of the e-commerce giant Coupang, the Amazon of South Korea. Kim’s fortune surged as high as $11 billion after the company’s IPO in early March.

2. Dan Gilbert (642 percent/$41.7 billion): Owner of Quicken Loans, which capitalized on cloistered citizens tapping online financing. Lives in Michigan.

3. Ernest Garcia II (567 percent/$13.6 billion): Biggest shareholder of Carvana, the online car sales and auto-financing giant. Arizona.

4. Elon Musk (559 percent/$137.5 billion): Musk is now the second wealthiest Americans—at nearly $138 billion—as his shares in Tesla, Space-X and other companies that he owns continue to climb. Lives in Texas.

5. Brian Armstrong (550 percent/$5.5 billion): Chief executive of Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the country. California resident.

6. Bobby Murphy (531 [ercent/$10.1 billion): Co-founder of Snapchat, with his Stanford fraternity brother, Evan Spiegel. California resident.

7. Evan Spiegel (490 percent/$9.3 billion): Co-founder of Snapchat with his other billionaire super-gainer, Bobby Murphy. California resident.

8. Jack Dorsey (396 percent/$10.3 billion): Co-founder and CEOs of both Twitter and Square, the small business payment app. Lives in California

9. Anthony Wood (331 percent/$5.3 billion): Founder of Roku, which enables online TV video streaming. California resident.

10. Jeff Green (300 percent/$3 billion): Californian founder and chairman of The Trade Desk, a digital advertising firm.

Other notable billionaire wealth gains during the pandemic

Eric Yuan, co-founder of video-conferencing technology Zoom, saw his wealth rise by $8.4 billion during the pandemic year, a gain of 153 percent. A year ago, Yuan had $5.5 billion which increased to $13.9 billion. Last year Zoom paid no federal income taxes on its $660 million in profits, which increased by more than 4,000 percent.

The three owners of Airbnb saw their wealth accelerate thanks to their pandemic year IPO. Brian Chesky’s wealth increased from $4.1 billion to $14.6 billion, a gain of $10.5 billion, an increase of 256 percent. Nathan Blecharazyk and Joe Gebbia, with equal ownership stakes valued at $4.1 billion a year ago, each saw their wealth increase to $13.2 billion, for gains of $9.1 billion each, or 222 percent.

Jim Koch, owner of Boston Beer Company and brewer of the Sam Adams brand, saw his wealth increase from $1.3 billion to $3.2 billion, a gain of $1.9 billion over the pandemic year, or 146 percent.

Dan and Bubba Cathy, the owners of drive-through sensation Chick-Fil-A, saw their combined wealth of $6.8 billion rise to $16.6 billion, a gain of $9.8 billion over the pandemic year, or 144 percent.

Harold Hamm, the politically connected oil and gas fracker, saw his wealth increase from $2.4 billion to $7.5 billion during the pandemic year, an increase of 5.1 billion, or 212.5 percent.

Of 17 industry categories, billionaires in the technology industry had the greatest collective wealth growth—$564 billion, or nearly 68 percent. [See Table 3]

They were worth $1.4 trillion on March 18, 2021, or one-third of the billionaires’ total. The titans of Wall Street—the Finance & Investment industries—saw their wealth grow by $226 billion—a nearly 37 percent increase. Automotive industry billionaires had the biggest percentage point increase in wealth—317 percent based on an increase in wealth of $172 billion. That was largely driven by the extraordinary rise in Elon Musk’s wealth—$137.5 billion or 559 percent.

All but three states saw the wealth of their billionaire residents increase. [See Table 4]

Topping the list in total wealth growth are California at $551 billion, Washingtonat $134.6 billion, and New York at $116.4 billion. The top three states with the greatest percentage increase in wealth are Michigan at 164 percent, Arizona at 110 percent, and Hawaii at 107 percent.

Billionaire wealth growth is calculated between March 18, 2020 and March 18, 2021, based on Forbes data compiled in this report by ATF and IPS. March 18 is used as the unofficial beginning of the crisis because by then most federal and state economic restrictions responding to the virus were in place. March 18 was also the date that Forbes picked to measure billionaire wealth for the 2020 edition of its annual billionaires’ report, which provided a baseline that ATF and IPS compare periodically with real-time data from the Forbes website. 651 miljardairs in de VS zijn sinds maart 1 biljoen dollar rijker geworden o.a. door de Coronacrisis

Ongelofelijk het bedrag dat 651 miljardairs in de VS dit jaar rijker zijn geworden sinds midden maart: 1 biljoen dollar, een bedrag waarmee je 330 miljoen VS burgers, ruwweg het aantal inwoners van de VS, ieder $ 3.000,-- kan geven....... Het vermogen van deze miljardairs is daarmee gestegen naar een totaal van 4 biljoen dollar...... Die biljoen dollar is zelfs hoger dan wat de Trump administratie aan staatssteun heeft gegeven voor de schade die de Coronacrisis heeft veroorzaakt bij bedrijven en vergeet daarbij niet dat er bedrijven tussen zitten die in handen zijn van deze miljardairs, dan wel dat ze middels een enorm aandelenpakket in feite bezitten.....

Als je daarentegen de armoede in de VS ziet, krijg je ter plekke het gevoel dat je in een derdewereldland bent aangekomen, ongelofelijk hoe mensen niet anders kunnen dan maar proberen de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen, terwijl ze beseffen dat ze hoogstwaarschijnlijk nooit uit de financiële ellende zullen komen....... Onder het hieronder opgenomen artikel stond een documentaire van PBS/Fronline die op YouTube werd gezet, maar daar intussen is verwijderd, 'logisch' daar de spuugrijke top van dit bedrijf de ellende niet wil zien, die in feite door de rijken wordt veroorzaakt...... Neem bijvoorbeeld miljardair Bezos (Amazon), die in het artikel wordt genoemd daar hij sinds maart (waarop het Coronavirus toesloeg in de VS) maar liefst 53 miljard dollar rijker is geworden, terwijl hij zijn personeel onderbetaald en wel op zo'n manier dat ze in feite niet rond kunnen komen van hun salaris..........

Daarnaast is een schoft als Bezos ook nog eens verantwoordelijk voor enorme vervuiling, niet alleen in de VS maar ook in derdewereldlanden, waar hij z'n personeel nog veel verder uitknijpt...... Niet voor niets ook dat veel arme Latijns-Amerikaanse mensen vluchten naar de VS, daar ze niet rond kunnen komen van het meer dan karige salaris....... De VS zorgt er dan ook voor dat sociale regimes in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika ten onder gaan, immers dat soort landen, zoals Venezuela hebben een eind gemaakt aan de uitbuiting (neokolonialisme) van hun burgers door bedrijven uit de VS en andere rijke westerse landen..... De VS doet e.e.a. door ofwel een opstand te organiseren als dat niet helpt organiseert de VS een staatsgreep en als zelfs dat niet lukt grijpt de VS militair in....... 

Zo valt te vrezen dat Joe Biden als hij op 'de stoel met de knop zit', Venezuela zal aanvallen, niet in de laatste plaats vanwege de enorme bodemschatten van dat land, waar de illegale sancties van de VS (Canada en de EU) zoals ik gisteren zag, ervoor hebben gezorgd dat al meer dan 100.000 mensen zijn omgekomen, i.p.v. de meer dan 50.000 die ik al ruim een jaar aanhoud....... (zo is er een groot tekort aan medicijnen en medische hulpmiddelen en apparaten, waarvan de VS ontkent dat die onder de sancties vallen, maar dat is dan ook een heel smerige leugen, terwijl die illegale sancties zonder meer een misdaad zijn tegen de menselijkheid!!)

Ondanks het voorgaande heeft de meerderheid van de Venezolaanse bevolking op de partij van president Maduro gestemd, logisch dat zijn de arme mensen die op alle manieren werden en worden gesteund en geholpen door de regering. Binnekort zal ik weer een bericht over Venezuela plaatsen, waarmee ik VPRO oplichter (Latijns-Amerika 'deskundige') Edwin Koopman weer eens mee om de smerige oren en de leugenachtige vuilbek zal slaan, wat een smerige oplichter en schoft is dat, wat zeg ik? Hij is een ordinaire fascist!!

Ik sprak al even over de vervuiling in de VS, het is daar zelfs zo dat de arme mensen voor een groot deel in gebieden/stadselen wonen waar de luchtvervuiling het grootst is....... Door armoede zijn veel mensen in de VS aangewezen op ongezond voedsel, niet voor niets dat obesitas onder deze mensen groot is, immers een gezonde maaltijd met groente en fruit is zelfs een stuk duurder dan in ons land.......

Heb een paar onderdelen van de documentaire 'Growing up Poor in the U.S.' op YouTube gevonden, verhalen die ronduit  ontluisterend zijn en dan te bedenken dat dezelfde VS een 'defensie begroting' (lees: oorlogsbegroting) heeft die de 700 miljard op jaarbasis fiks overtreft............  

Het is de hoogste tijd voor een revolutie!, waarmee de maatschappij drastisch wordt hervormd en deze plutocraten 'hun bezit' mogen inleveren!! ('hun bezit' voor 99% verkregen over de rug van onderbetaalde arbeiders.......) Een wereldrevolutie waardoor de zaken eindelijk eerlijk verdeeld worden over alle aardbewoners!! (en waar we eindelijk echt actie kunnen ondernemen tegen de klimaatverandering, om deze nog enigszins af te remmen, immers het is een leugen dat we de klimaatverandering kunnen stoppen, iets wat de machthebbers en de reguliere media je bijna dag in dag uit voorliegen....)

Wealth Increase in 9 Months Exceeds Likely $908 Billion Cost of Covid Relief Package GOP Has Stalled as Too Costly 

December 09, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - "" -  The collective wealth of America’s 651 billionaires has jumped by over $1 trillion since roughly the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to a total of $4 trillion at market close on Monday, December 7, 2020. Their wealth growth since March is more than the $908 billion in pandemic relief proposed by a bipartisan group of members of Congress, which is likely to be the package that moves forward for a vote in the next week, but has been stalled over Republican concerns that it is too costly.  

The total net worth of the nation’s 651 billionaires rose from $2.95 trillion on March 18—the rough start of the pandemic shutdowns—to $4.01 trillion on Dec. 7, a leap of 36%, based on Forbes billionaires, according to a new report  by Americans for Tax Fairness (ATF) and the Institute for Policy Studies (IPS). By around March 18 most federal and state economic restrictions in response to the virus were in place. Combined, just the top 10 billionaires are now worth more than $1 trillion.

Forbes’ annual billionaires report was published March 18, and ATF and IPS collected the real-time data on Dec. 7 from the Forbes website. The methodology of this analysis has been favorably reviewed by PolitiFact. The ATF-IPS analysis also looks at wealth growth since February 2019—the date of Forbes’ immediately previous annual billionaires report published well before the start of the pandemic and resulting market gyrations.

The $1 trillion wealth gain by 651 U.S. billionaires since mid-March is:

• More than it would cost to send a stimulus check of $3,000 to every one of the roughly 330 million people in America. A family of four would receive over $12,000. Republicans have blocked new stimulus checks from being included in the pandemic relief package. 

• Double the two-year estimated budget gap of all state and local governments, which is forecast to be at least $500 billion. By June, state and local governments had already laid off 1.5 million workers and public services—especially education—faced steep budget cuts.

• Only slightly less than total federal spending on Medicare ($644 billion in 2019) and Medicaid ($389 billion in FY2019), which together serve 120 million Americans (69 million in Medicaid, 63 million in Medicare, less 12 million enrolled in both).  

• Nearly four times the $267 billion total in stimulus payments made to 159 million people earlier this year.  

At $4 trillion the total wealth of all U.S. billionaires today is nearly double the $2.1 trillion in total wealth held by the bottom half of the population, or 165 million Americans. 

“Never before has America seen such an accumulation of wealth in so few hands,” said Frank Clemente, executive director of Americans for Tax Fairness. “As tens of millions of Americans suffer from the health and economic ravages of this pandemic, a few hundred billionaires add to their  massive fortunes. Their pandemic profits are so immense that America’s billionaires could pay for a major COVID relief bill and still not lose a dime of their pre-virus riches. Their wealth growth is so great that they alone could provide a $3,000 stimulus payment to every man, woman and child in the country, and still be richer than they were 9 months ago. Joe Biden won a tax-fairness mandate in November. We look forward to working with him and Congress to deliver on that mandate by taxing the massive wealth of these billionaires.”

“The updraft of wealth to the billionaire class is disturbing at a time when millions face eviction, destitution, and loss,” said Chuck Collins of the Institute for Policy Studies and co-author of Billionaire Bonanza 2020, a report looking at pandemic profiteering and billionaire wealth. “Billionaires are extracting wealth at a time when essential workers are pushed into the viral line of fire.”

Ordinary Americans have not fared as well as billionaires during the pandemic:

• Nearly 14.9 million have fallen ill with the virus and 284,000 have died from it. [Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center]

• Collective work income of rank-and-file private-sector employees—all hours worked times the hourly wages of the entire bottom 82% of the workforce—declined by 2.3% from mid-March to mid-October, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

• Nearly 67 million lost work between Mar. 21 and Oct. 7, 2020. [U.S. Department of Labor]

• 20 million were collecting unemployment on Nov. 14, 2020. [U.S. Department of Labor] 

• 98,000 businesses have permanently closed. [Yelp/CNBC]

• 12 million workers have lost employer-sponsored health insurance during the pandemic as of August 26, 2020. [Economic Policy Institute]

• Nearly 26 million adults reported their household not having enough food in the past week between Nov. 11-23. From Oct. 28 to Nov. 7, between 7 and 11 million children lived in a household where kids did not eat enough because the household could not afford it. [Center on Budget & Policy Priorities (CBPP)]

• 12.4 million adults—1 in 6 renters—reported in November being behind in their rent. [CBPP]

Without a federal fiscal relief package, workers will face even greater loss of jobs and services than they have already suffered. The Economic Policy Institute predicts that without more federal aid 5.3 million public-sector jobs—including those of teachers, public safety employees and health care workers—will be lost by the end of 2021. 

Because of long-standing racial and gender disparities, low-wage workers, people of color and women have suffered disproportionately in the combined medical and economic crises of 2020. Blacks and Latinos are far more likely to become infected with Covid-19 and to die from the disease. Billionaires are overwhelmingly white men. 

The stock market surge and lock-down economy have been a boon to tech monopolies and helped create four U.S. “centi-billionaires.” Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are now each worth more than $100 billion. Prior to this year, Bezos had been the only U.S. centi-billionaire, reaching that peak in 2018. Bezos and other billionaires have seen particularly astonishing increases in wealth between March 18 and Dec. 7: 

• Jeff Bezos’s wealth grew from $113 billion on March 18 to $184 billion, an increase of 63%. Adding in his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott’s wealth of $60 billion on that day, the two had a combined wealth of almost a quarter of a trillion dollars thanks to their Amazon stock. If Bezos’s $71.4 billion growth in wealth was distributed to all his 810,000 U.S. employees, each would get a windfall bonus of over $88,000 and Bezos would not be any “poorer” than he was 9 months ago.

• Elon Musk’s wealth grew by nearly $119 billion, from $24.6 billion on March 18 to $143 billion, a nearly five-fold increase, boosted by his Tesla stock. SpaceX founder Musk has enjoyed one of the biggest boosts in net worth of any billionaire. That $119 billion growth in wealth is more than five times NASA’s $22.6 billion budget in FY2020, the federal agency Musk has credited with saving his company with a big federal contract when the firm’s rockets were failing and it faced bankruptcy.

• Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth grew from $54.7 billion on March 18 to $105 billion, an increase of 92%, fueled by his Facebook stock.

• Dan Gilbert, chairman of Quicken Loans, saw his wealth rocket by 543%, from $6.5 billion to $41.8 billion, the second biggest percentage increase of all the billionaires.

Israëlische advocaat benoemd tot voorzitter van het Mensenrechtencomité van de VN.......

De Israëlische advocaat Yuval Shany is unaniem gekozen tot voorzitter van het Mensenrechtencomité van de VN* , ofwel men heeft in feite de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël voorzitter gemaakt van een mensenrechtencomité........ Zoals eerder Saoedi-Arabië, ook al een notoire schender van mensenrechten, werd verkozen tot voorzitter van de UNHRC.....

E.e.a. wordt nog duidelijker als je ziet waarmee Shany zich tot nu toe heeft beziggehouden: zo was hij werkzaam voor het Israëlische ministerie 'van Justitie' (ha! ha! ha!) en werkte hij voor de Israëlische premier en het Israëlische leger, alle 3 tot hun kin badend in het bloed van Palestijnen........

Wat een enorme aanfluiting, de VN is op sterven na dood........

Israeli Lawyer Appointed Chairman of UN Human Rights Committee

(MEMO) — An Israeli lawyer was chosen this week to chair the UN Human Rights Committee, despite the country’s dire human rights record.

The UN Human Rights Committee, not to be confused with the UN Human Rights Council, is a panel of legal professionals which reviews states’ adherence to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), which forms part of the International Bill of Human Rights.

The Covenant commits parties to respect the civil and political rights of individuals, including the right to life, freedom of religion, speech and assembly, electoral rights and rights to due process and a fair trial. Israel has signed and ratified the Covenant.

The committee will now be chaired by Yuval Shany, who was unanimously selected on Monday by its 18 members. Shany is deputy president of the Israel Democracy Institute and a member of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Law. He has also worked for Israel’s Ministry of Justice and as an advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Israeli army. He will be the first Israeli to chair the Human Rights Committee.

In a statement following his appointment, Shany said that “we live in an international climate that no longer supports human rights. As head of the committee, I hope to harness its positive and apolitical influence to secure human rights for all citizens of the world,” according to Haaretz.

The appointment will raise eyebrows in light of Israel’s dire human rights record and systematic denial of Palestinians’ human rights. According to Israeli human rights organisation B’Tselem, Israel uses administrative detention of Palestinians, in which a person who has not committed an offense is held without trial or legal proceedings, as a “quick and easy alternative to criminal trial”. B’Tselem statistics show that “at the end of May 2018, 440 Palestinians – including two women and three minors – were held in administrative detention in Israel Prison Service (IPS) facilities.”

Israel’s disregard for human rights has also been highlighted during the Great March of Return, which began on 30 March. Since the protests began, 135 Palestinians have died after being hit by Israeli live fire, with a further 15,000 injured. Israel has also been criticised for its targeting of journalists, photographers and paramedics in a bid to silence reports and images of its human rights violations.

In addition, Israel in June passed a law making it an offence to film Israeli soldiers on duty, making filming “with intent to harm the morale of Israel’s soldiers or its inhabitants” punishable by up to five years in prison. The law will limit the work of human rights groups who document human rights violations committed by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank.
