De laatste paar jaar zijn er veel rapporten en getuigenissen gepubliceerd over het walgelijk seksueel geweld dat zionisten gebruiken tegen gevangen gehouden Palestijnen. Zoals waarschijnlijk de meeste westerlingen was ik in de veronderstelling dat dit laffe en schunnige geweld echt alleen van de laatste jaren was, maar uit een rapport gepubliceerd op Progressive International blijkt dat de uiterst gewelddadige laffe zionisten dit smerige geweld van meet af aan hebben gebruikt tegen het Palestijnse volk, dus vanaf de illegale stichting van de staat Israël (1948)..... En dat NB op het van het Palestijnse volk gestolen land Palestina, een diefstal die in eerste instantie werd bekonkeld door witte 'politici' en zionisten. Zo heeft de Zionist Federation in Groot-Brittannië* een leidende rol gespeeld in het inpikken van Palestina, vooral met hulp van 'lord' Rothchild, een lid van de joodse bankiersfamilie met dezelfde naam.... Dit alles terwijl de Palestijnen nooit moeite hadden met de Joden, die in hun land woonden.... Meerdere zionistische ondergrondse organisaties als Etsel/Etzel en Haganah zaaiden al voor 1948 dood en verderf onder de Palestijnen en de Britse bezetters. kortom dit waren zionistische terreurorganisaties, terwijl organisaties als Hamas, die veel later ontstonden, in feite moeten worden gezien als verzetsgroepen.....

Er is een ontluisterend rapport over seksueel geweld tegen Palestijnen (meisjes, jongens, vrouwen en mannen) samengesteld door de Palestinian Feminist Collective (PFC) in samenwerking met Progressive International onder de titel Predatory State (Roofzuchtige Staat) dit op basis van door overlevenden en ooggetuigen gegeven verklaringen, vrijgegeven Israëlische archieven, mondelinge geschiedenissen, academisch onderzoek, media berichten (o.a. van het joodse nieuwsplatform Haaretz), documentatie van mensenrechtenorganisaties (als de joodse organisatie: B'Tselem) en samengevoegde documenten van de Verenigde Naties. Afgelopen dinsdag (18 augustus 2026) en woensdag veel ophef in het westen en elders over de Israëlische fascistische minister van nationale veiligheid Ben Gvir, deze ploert ging weer eens veel te ver en heeft nu het volgende gezegd: "Ik vind dat er gerichte liquidaties in Gaza moeten worden uitgevoerd, waarbij er elke nacht dertig tot veertig worden uitgeschakeld. aldus #IDF-soldaten zelf! (En het is niet voor het eerst dat ze dit zeggen, dan wel dat hier bewijs voor is).
En dit is dus precies wat wij al die tijd al roepen:
het ging en gaat noch om Hamas, noch om die gijzelaars.
Want hoe verklaar je anders dat:

In een documentaire van ITV getiteld #Breaking_ranks_inside_Israels_war die gisteren in Engeland op tv was en beschreven werd in de #Guardian, vertellen #IDF_soldaten over de #genocide in #Gaza, over hoe alles en iedereen een vijand werd, #ontmenselijkt werd. Hoe Gazanen bij het minste of geringste verdachten werden: omdat ze ergens liepen waar dat niet mocht, of zelfs waar het wel mocht maar ze te snel liepen of juist te langzaam. Of een man die op het balkon de was ophing: vast een spotter, dus schieten maar. Drie mannen samen? Een militaire formatie...
Kortom: Alles was verdacht en iedereen was een legitiem doelwit. Een #vrijbrief om #op_alles_en_iedereen_te_schieten . Deze soldaten waren geen sadisten maar gewone jongens en mannen. Ze deden wat ze deden omdat ze geloofden het juiste te doen. Een overtuiging gevoed door het jarenlange #narratief dat de #Palestijnen het #kwaad zijn, dat ze allemaal #terroristen zijn, in staat tot een 7 oktober, en dat niemand onschuldig is. Dat er eigenlijk geen #burgers zijn in Gaza en dat iedereen die de Palestijnen steunt of kritiek heeft op Israël een #antisemiet is.
Het is niet nieuw of onbekend voor wie het nieuws volgt, maar dat #IDF_soldaten zich nu zelf uitspreken is wel van belang, zoals velen van de groep #Breaking_the_silence al lang voor de meest recente escalatie deden. Het is ook moedig. De topjurist van het Israëlische leger #Yifat_Tomer_Yerushalmi lekte een #martel_video, omdat ze te zwaar onder druk werd gezet toen ze de daders wilde vervolgen, maar ze is nu zelf gearresteerd, vanwege het lek, en heeft als ik dat goed begrepen heb in de gevangenis geprobeerd zichzelf van het leven te beroven. Ze is inmiddels de kop van jut geworden. Want niet de soldaten op het filmpje, maar zij heeft in de ogen van #Israël het grotere misdrijf begaan: ze heeft net als deze soldaten de #omerta gebroken. De andere kant laten zien.
Ik hoop dat haar moed en de moed van de soldaten die zich vanuit een moeilijke en gevaarlijke situatie uitspreken onze demissionaire regering eindelijk de ogen openen. Er is sprake van #genocide, die nog steeds voortduurt (!) en waar we door niets te doen nog steeds aan bijdragen omdat we door niets te doen het #narratief van #Israël blijven steunen. Het narratief dat de Palestijnen als het absolute kwaad en de genocide daarmee als legitieme zelfverdediging neerzet.

Terug naar de uitspraak van monster Ben Gvir >> het is als met de uitspraken van Bobby Vylan (van het duo Bob Vylan), die tijdens een optreden in Glastonbury meermaals: "Death death tot the IDF" scandeerde, gevolgd door "From the river to the sea Palestine will be free"***. Het westen stond ook toen op de kop, terwijl het dodental van het aantal door het Israëlische leger vermoorde Palestijnen werd geschat op 300.000, het werkelijke aantal moet ook destijds al veel hoger zijn geweest, zeker als je nagaat dat het nu wordt geschat op om en nabij de 1 miljoen..... Dagelijks vertrekken grote aantallen vrachtwagens met puin uit de Gazastrook, puin waartussen zich de stoffelijke resten bevinden van een enorm aantal Palestijnen...... Zo probeert Israël zich het bloed weg te wassen, het bloed waar men tot de kin in staat...... Men maakt zich druk om een uitspraak van Gvir die per dag 30 of 40 Palestijnen wil vermoorden, terwijl als je uitgaat van het officieel aangenomen aantal vermoorde Palestijnen sinds 7 oktober 2023, dat is 70.000, er per dag 66 Palestijnen zijn vermoord door het psychopathisch moordende fascistische Israëlische leger..... Let wel (en nogmaals): het werkelijke aantal vermoorde Palestijnen ligt rond de 1 miljoen

In the Progressive International's twenty-first Briefing of 2026, we look at a landmark new report by the Palestinian Feminist Collective.
“It was the lowest depth of hell.”
This is how Mohammed Qaoud, a journalist from Gaza, described his detainment by Israeli forces at the notorious Sde Teiman concentration camp. In a webinar hosted by the Progressive International in May, he detailed the various forms of mistreatment and humiliation that were ritually inflicted on him and other political prisoners.
The “most severe” form of torture, Qaoud said, was sexual. At Sde Teiman, “[s]exual torture was practiced on Gaza prisoners specifically; later it was practiced on all prisoners, but it began concentrated on Gaza prisoners.” Among many humiliating rituals designed not only to break the prisoners, but also to destroy the very reproduction of Palestinian life, it included strip searches, strikes on prisoners’ genitals “with the aim of castration”, and rape using trained animals.
Sexual violence against Palestinians is the subject of a landmark new report by the Palestinian Feminist Collective (PFC), published in partnership with the Progressive International. A Predatory State gathers survivor and witness testimonies, declassified Israeli archives, Palestinian oral histories, academic research, media reporting, human rights documentation and United Nations records into a single narrative.
Over the past three years, the evidence of the genocide in Gaza — and the many crimes against humanity that accompanied it — became impossible to ignore. Yet many still clung to the belief that this violence was an aberration: that it was the product of a bad government rather than the imperialist and colonial system at its purest.
Many insisted that if Benjamin Netanyahu were simply replaced, or “progressive” Israelis made political gains, some form of justice could be restored.
The PFC report dispels these notions. Instead, it shows that sexual violence has been integral to the process of Zionist colonialism in Palestine from its very beginnings. “Sexualized and gendered violence have historically been an intrinsic feature of the Zionist project, and continues to animate the systematic war waged on Palestinian bodies, intimacy, home life, and spaces,” the report says. The status quo — from Ben-Gurion to Netanyahu — is one of ritual violence designed to destroy the foundation of Palestinian life.
The report documents sexualised and gendered violence across detention, interrogation, warfare, surveillance, family separation, home destruction and the withholding of the dead. In Israeli prisons and detention sites, it records forced nudity, sexual humiliation, genital torture, rape with objects, and rape by trained dogs. In Gaza, it traces the destruction of reproductive healthcare, the denial of water, food, fuel and medicine, and the attacks on maternity care that make birth itself a site of siege.
For example, the report notes that Gaza’s largest fertility clinic, the Basmah IVF centre, was directly hit in December 2023, reportedly destroying around 3,000 embryos. In one case documented by the report, Rania Abu Anza spent ten years undergoing IVF treatment before giving birth to twins. Both babies were killed with their father in an Israeli airstrike.
Across occupied Palestine, the report documents esqat — sexualised blackmail, surveillance and coercion — used to recruit informants, fracture communities and threaten Palestinians with exposure or fabricated disgrace.
The report’s traces the continuity of these practices over the entire history of the Zionist project. The same methods reappear again and again across decades and sites — from the Nakba to the Intifada, from the colonial checkpoint to Sde Teiman. And they are universal to the colonizer’s security agencies: from prison guards and soldiers to police and intelligence officers. The purpose is to humiliate, coerce, displace and ultimately to destroy.
This use of sexual violence is indicative of a much more expansive and far-reaching genocidal project than the assault on Gaza. It represents a systematic effort to prevent the Palestinian people from reproducing “biologically and culturally” — to make the continuation of Palestinian society not only intolerable, but ultimately impossible.
The PFC report is a calling. It reminds us that is no returning to a fairer, more progressive colonialism. The process of imposing one society on the body of another is necessarily a violent process. As Franz Fanon wrote in The Wretched of the Earth: “Colonialism is not a thinking machine, nor a body endowed with reasoning faculties. It is violence in its natural state, and it will only yield when confronted with greater violence.”
For Palestinians, justice can only be found in decolonization — the final and irreversible return of Palestinian land to the Palestinian people. Only then can the decades of torture be brought to an end.

Hier een deel van de tekst >> In a Double Down News (DDN) video report, British filmmaker Richard Sanders begins a summary of a “horrific new [United Nations] report” with a listing of three atrocities committed by Israeli forces against Palestinian children. Sanders tells of an infant who was shot in the head while breastfeeding in his mother’s arms, a 16-year-old boy whose body was mutilated by an Israeli tank, and teenage boys deliberately shot by Israeli soldiers in a game of “target practice.” The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry released the report on June 23. Titled “The Essence of Childhood Has Been Destroyed,” it was the first to focus on crimes and violations against Palestinian children in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Vijay Prashad at CounterPunch called it an “accusation of extraordinary gravity.” In 100-pages, the investigation documents Israeli security forces’ direct killing, degrading, and inhumane treatment of Palestinian children, including sexual and gender-based violence and torture. The report also documents the destruction of schools and civilian infrastructure and amounts to a gruesome compendium of how Israel is destroying Palestinian childhood and denying the Palestinian people a future and self-determination. As the human rights lawyer Srinivasan Muralidhar, who chaired the UN commission and led the press conference that announced its findings, bluntly summarized, “By targeting children, Israel is attacking the very capacity of the Palestinian people to exist.” This is genocide. The UN report flatly contradicted the claims made by President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace that conditions in Gaza were improving. The UN report stated that the amount of available aid is woefully inadequate to meet the needs of hungry, wounded people, living in appalling conditions, who are being squeezed into 30 percent of what was once the Gaza Strip. The UN report further noted the admission of one Israeli soldier: “It feels like a game. You can sit in some basement of a house, safe, with your helmet off, scratching your balls, half-dressed, and kill Palestinians.” The new report sits atop an ever-expanding mass of documentation of Israeli war crimes committed since October 7, 2023. This trove consists of journalistic documentation, investigations compiled by the UN and other aid agencies, and by human rights lawyers who have corroborated the testimonies of victims of sexual torture with forensic evidence of their broken bodies. It includes damning evidence from Israeli soldiers themselves, who have recorded their crimes as they committed them and subsequently posted those recordings online. The combined record of evidence includes visuals of massacres, satellite footage, and audio recordings of specific events such as the January 2024 killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab, as documented by Forensic Architecture. Journalists bear witness, with corroborating evidence, to seeing their colleagues killed by targeted Israeli strikes. Compilations of detailed refutations of falsified Israeli “pseudo-evidence” produced to deny its crimes must also be considered a significant part of this trove. In short, as many have observed, the genocide in Gaza is the most well-documented in history. Another quote from the Israeli foreign ministry sandwiched in the article claimed that the UN report “completely erases Israeli children who were brutally murdered, kidnapped, and targeted by Hamas, while ignoring Hamas’ cynical use of Palestinian children as human shields and pawns of war.” The Times let this statement stand without qualification, even though most of it is false. The UN report does include incidents of Hamas killing Israeli children during and since the October 7 attacks—which it also noted were the focus of two prior reports, made to the Human Rights Council in June 2024 and the General Assembly in October 2024—though they pale by comparison to Israel’s subsequent atrocities. Hamas killed one infant on October 7, 2023. In the two years since then, Israel has killed more than twenty thousand children, including 440 newborn babies. But US media have never fully covered what actually happened on October 7. Israeli civilians and children were killed that day by Israeli security forces who were ordered to fire on everyone, employing the Hannibal Directive, to prevent hostages from being taken. The Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 uses surveillance data, modeling, and detailed International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes to provide comprehensive mortality data across 288 causes of death globally (3), yet this traditional categorization omits the mortality caused by the genocide of Palestinian children in Gaza. This omission is also reflected in other major United Nations (UN) institutional reporting and the infrequently published and often incomplete rankings of global mortality causes as documented in recent UN reports on childhood mortality trends, including the latest UNICEF-WHO collaborative mortality assessments (4). The exclusion of genocide distorts our understanding of the true drivers and potential solutions for childhood mortality worldwide. The Gaza genocide directly impacts childhood mortality and the exclusion of genocide from the global rankings based on ICD coding is particularly problematic. The Gaza genocide may be a leading cause of global childhood mortality and is invisible in conventional epidemiological frameworks that guide international health policy and resource allocation (see Supplement). Under the UN Genocide Convention, genocide includes acts to destroy a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, including killing members and deliberately inflicting destructive conditions (5). Multiple bodies have concluded Israel’s actions in Gaza constitute genocide (6) or consistent with genocide including the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry (7), UN Special Rapporteur on Palestinian human rights (8), human rights organizations Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch (9, 10), Israeli groups B’Tselem (11) and Physicians for Human Rights Israel (12), and over 800 genocide scholars declaring Gaza a textbook case of genocide (13). Gaza Strip is one of the most densely populated places on Earth, housing 2.13 million people in 365 square kilometers, with an overall density of 5,836 people/km², and refugee camps such as Jabalia exceeding 82,000 people/km² (14-16). Since October 2023, Israel has dropped approximately 125,000 tons of explosives on Gaza by mid-2025 (17). This exceeds four times the 27,448 metric tons dropped during World War II on Dresden, Hamburg, and London combined (18-20). This bombardment has caused massive civilian casualties and damaged over 192,000 (78%) of buildings, including most hospitals, clinics, and schools (21). For comparison, the Gaza tonnage is 7.8 times the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima that had an explosive yield equivalent to 16,000 metric tons of TNT and caused an estimated 120,000 deaths by the end of 1945 (22). This sustained bombardment has systematically destroyed Gaza’s health infrastructure. Over 94% of hospitals and clinics have been damaged or destroyed, with WHO reporting only 18 of Gaza’s 36 hospitals remained operational as of August 2025 (23). The WHO verified 735 attacks on healthcare facilities, causing 917 fatalities and 1,411 injuries (24). Other reports indicate that over 1,670 healthcare workers, 310 UN workers, and more than 252 journalists have been killed (25, 26). The devastation and collapse of the health system has severely compromised health service delivery and public health efforts including mortality and morbidity surveillance. Only 2,000 hospital beds remain for over 2 million people (27). The loss of health care staff and deterioration of medical infrastructure have placed substantial strain on remaining personnel. Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) control and restriction of access to water, food, and other basic necessities have increased adult and childhood mortality rates (28, 29). Severe malnutrition and deaths have resulted in famine conditions (28-30). These conditions and uncertainties highlight the urgent need for recalculating Gaza’s child mortality estimates which may have been severely underreported under genocidal conditions.

Israeli guards beat Palestinian physician and denied him medical care: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya told his lawyers on July 14 that Israeli prison guards beat him again following a previous legal visit on July 2, adding that he remains in solitary confinement in an underground prison and has been denied medical care for an injury to his right eye, according to Physicians for Human Rights Israel. “Do everything possible to get me out of this place,” Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya told his lawyers, noting the discontinuation of his pain medication and a refusal to give him the results of a recently conducted X-ray. During the visit, Abu Safiya was concealed from his lawyers behind an opaque partition and forced to communicate by telephone while masked prison guards remained close enough to hear the conversation. Abu Safiya, the former director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, has been imprisoned without charge or trial since December 2024 after refusing to abandon his patients. Gaza flotilla participant files rape complaint against Israeli prison guards: Anna Liedtke, a 25-year-old activist aboard the Gaza-bound aid Freedom Flotilla, filed a criminal complaint in Israel accusing female guards at Givon Prison of raping her during a forced strip search, according to The Guardian. Liedtke alleges guards forced her to her knees, restrained her and covered her mouth to stop her screams, while male guards watched and laughed. Israeli forces detained Liedtke after seizing her Gaza-bound aid ship in international waters on October 8, 2025, and held her for five days. Liedtke said the abuse was intended to intimidate activists into abandoning solidarity with Palestinians, adding that her assault was “way, way less than what Palestinian prisoners experience.” More than a dozen other flotilla activists have also reported sexual assault. Channel 14 report shows Israeli officials praising Gaza’s destruction and displacement of Palestinians: A new report by Israel’s Channel 14 features senior Israeli government and military officials openly celebrating the destruction of large parts of Gaza and the mass killing and displacement of Palestinians. Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he felt “good” seeing neighborhoods such as Jabaliya and Shuja’iyya “destroyed” and “in ruins,” describing the devastation as the result of a deliberate policy. He added that Israeli forces would not withdraw from the so-called “yellow line” unless Hamas disarms, saying: “And even after that, we will remain in Gaza!” Deputy Israeli military chief Maj. Gen. The survivors of the genocide have already been shifted and concentrated into a steadily shrinking thirty some-odd percent of the Strip, while Israel attempts diplomatic maneuvers to persuade foreign states to take them in. “As early as 1895, Theodor Herzl, the prophet and founder of Zionism, wrote in his diary in anticipation of the establishment of the Jewish state: ‘We shall try to spirit the penniless [Arab] population across the border by procuring employment for it in the transit countries, while denying it any employment in our country … The removal of the poor must be carried out discreetly and circumspectly.’

A security source told Haaretz that no change had occurred that would make such a move possible “without complex coordination between international actors.” Israeli settlers attack Palestinian homes south of Hebron, wound four: Armed Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes and land in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday, wounding four people and uprooting dozens of trees, Palestine Online reported. The settlers stormed the Wadi Al-Rakhim and Khallet Al-Hummus areas, pepper-spraying residents and leaving four with cuts, bruises, and cases of choking before they were taken to Yatta’s government hospital, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra said. Elderly Palestinian man found with signs of torture: An elderly Palestinian man was found on Tuesday near Gaza’s “yellow line,” unable to recall his own name after being released by Israeli forces, hospital staff reported to Falasteen Online. International flotillas are one way people challenge the Israeli blockade of Gaza. As is occurring with all forms of resistance to the Zionist State, retaliation against activists is escalating. Participants on the most recent flotillas have been subjected to abuse, torture and rape perpetrated by the Israelis with near impunity. On this episode of The Chris Hedges Report, Chris Hedges speaks with longtime flotilla organizer and pro-Palestine activist Thiago Ávila to describe his harrowing experience in an Israeli torture dungeon. Ávila recounts in detail the illegal kidnapping of flotilla activists this spring, the abusive treatment, and the activist’s courage in resisting the efforts of the Zionists to intimidate them and attempt to prevent future flotillas. He places the work of the flotilla organizers in the context of a global struggle, which employs a variety of tactics, in support of Palestinian liberation. While flotilla participants are almost guaranteed to be detained and subject to abuse by Israelis on their humanitarian missions, this last effort was met with a uniquely brutal response by the Israelis. Activists were locked in cold cells with minimal water, kept from getting their medications, and when they demanded better treatment in protest, Israeli flashbangs were thrown into their cells and disoriented them as Israeli soldiers launched further physical violence against them. Ávila in particular was brutally tortured, beaten unconscious by Israelis, locked in solitary confinement while blindfolded and zip tied, and constantly threatened with hanging by the Zionist officers jailing him. Despite the horrors inflicted upon the flotilla participants, Ávila emphasizes that their treatment pales in comparison to the severe abuse of Palestinian prisoners, which include children, and the genocide. Hedges states that the actions of the Zionist state are a mirror into “the inversion of the international and moral order” and the West’s complicity, which impacts everyone. Ávila agrees, and adds, “The Palestinian people… show us the lenses to see society as it really is, but also show us the map, that there’s no way out of this except for resisting, except for mobilizing.”

In short, Johnson used the “terrorist connection” to ignore the ruling of the jury and sentence them as though they had in fact been found guilty of all the things that Johnson had systematically rigged the trial to try to get them found guilty of—and failed. The “terrorist connection” legislation is merely a part of an enormous slough of extreme, authoritarian UK legislation passed in recent years—including the Online Safety Act, the National Security Act and many others. It is bad enough in itself, as it defines as terrorism any illegal activity intended to “influence the government”—which makes all civil disobedience terrorism. But even within these broad powers, Johnson appears to have gone extraordinarily far in pursuit of his fascist agenda. But the six-year sentences given by Johnson—and by the look of him, that was the only sexual excitement he has ever experienced—having a terrorist connection are not eligible for parole. The activists will serve the full six years in jail: that is five times the length of sentence that might normally be expected in this case. And all to ensure that there is no interruption to Israel’s ability to commit genocide or Starmer’s complicity in it.
