Deutschlandfunk meldde in het nieuws van 17.30 u. dat Israël op een beestachtige manier meerdere doelen tegelijk heeft aangevallen in Libanon, eerder meldde Al Jazeera als 89 doden en meer dan 800 (ook zwaar) gewonden. Uiteraard zullen veel gewonden overlijden daar de ziekenhuizen de toevoer van gewonden niet kunnen verwerken, bovendien is de kans groot dat er vanavond nog aanvallen volgen....

Israël gaat als een dolle hond tekeer en heeft blijkbaar lak aan alle internationale wet- en regelgeving aangaande oorlogsvoering, al zal het me niet verbazen als de fascistische genocidepleger Netanyahu of 1 van z'n misselijkmakende andere regeringsleden zullen verklaren dat de aanvallen waren gericht op Hezbollah leden, je weet het gebruikelijke valse excuus. Westerse regeringen zijn hier mede schuldig aan daar ze Israël werkelijk overal mee laten wegkomen, neem alleen al een nu al 2,5 jaar lang uitgevoerde genocide op de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook..... Ook de reguliere westerse media zijn schuldig daar ze amper of geen kritiek leveren op Israël en vooral Iran, Hezbollah en Hamas demoniseren..... Hezbollah en Hamas zijn eigenlijk de enige (verzets-) groepen die het opnemen voor de Palestijnen en voor de Libanese burgers.....
Update op 9 april 2026: het aantal vermoorden door de terreur van Israël is intussen gestegen naar 182 en gevreesd moet worden dat daar nog een aantal vermoorden aan zal worden toegevoegd, daar ze ofwel te zwaar gewond zijn dan wel daar ze onder het puin liggen van ingestorte of deels ingestorte huizen en bedrijfsgebouwen.... Het aantal gewonden zou intussen tot honderden zijn opgelopen....
Ongelofelijk te horen hoe het overgrote deel van de reguliere westerse media in hun radio nieuwsuitzendingen en site hebben bericht of berichten over deze enorme monsterlijke slachting, wat betreft de site was en is de BBC een uitzondering, waar prominent een foto was te zien van een deels een ingestort appartementencomplex, met link naar het bericht over deze walgelijke oorlogsmisdaad annex misdaad tegen de menselijkheid.... (al gebruikt de BBC uiteraard andere woorden over deze slachting) Bij de Duitse staatszenders geen of amper aandacht voor de vreselijke slachting die Israël heeft aangericht in Libanon, op de site van WDR 5 en Deutschlandfunk geen aandacht voor de verschrikkelijke aanvallen. Het valt me nog mee dat vanmiddag (9 april 2026) in het Tagesgespräch op WDR 5 aandacht wordt besteed aan het staakt het vuren, waar wel wordt gesproken over de aanval van Israël op Libanon....

Ook de NOS bericht vandaag (9 april 2026) op haar site prominent over de Dag van Rouw die in Libanon is afgekondigd naar aanleiding van de beestachtige slachting die daar gisteren plaatsvond. Ook gisteren op de site wel aandacht voor deze massamoorden. In het nieuws van 18.00 u. gisteravond (8 april 2026) aandacht voor de slachting maar op een wel heel vreemde manier. Men begon met het staakt het vuren tussen Israël, de VS en Iran, waarna je te horen kreeg dat Netanyahu heeft gesteld dat het staakt het vuren niet geldt voor Libanon en pas daarna stelde men dat ook vandaag Israël Libanon weer heeft aangevallen, met veelvuldige aanvallen die bijna tegelijkertijd op 'Hezbollah doelen' in Libanon werden uitgevoerd.... Ook de rest van het bericht was pro-Israël ingestoken, waarbij NOS-correspondent Nasra Habiballah stelde dat wat Israël betreft de dreiging van Hezbollah nog niet voorbij is en men doorgaat met de aanvallen. Vervolgens legt ze uit dat Israël 'ook niet' zat te springen om een wapenstilstand met Iran, maar dat men onder druk van de VS akkoord is gegaan. Israël zou bang zijn geweest dat men onder druk van de VS ook zou moeten stoppen met de aanvallen op Libanon en Israël daarom zoveel aanvallen bijna tegelijkertijd heeft uitgevoerd..... Verder werd nog gemeld dat ook Trump heeft gezegd dat Libanon geen deel uitmaakt van het staakt het vuren en dat Iran doelen zou selecteren voor vergelding van de Israëlische aanvallen op Libanon.

‘What Israel is doing in Lebanon is patently illegal’
Israeli political commentator Ori Goldberg has described the unprecedented Israeli military assault on Lebanon as “a pyrotechnics show meant to demonstrate Israel’s effectiveness while ultimately demonstrating its despair”.
“The only entity that can stop it is the international community that will defend Lebanon’s sovereign rights, which have been violated for decades but are now almost nonexistent,” Goldberg told Al Jazeera.
He said Israeli PM Netanyahu has been exposed as “a liability” for Washington due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, and Israel’s leader is therefore “desperately trying to show that it controls at least some of the game”.
“[Netanyahu] bet it all on Trump; he lost. He thought he could keep Trump on a short leash. He messed that up. So now what he has is Lebanon, which has been Israel’s favourite stomping ground in terms of sovereignty violation and aggression generally,” Goldberg said.
“Really, now it’s up to the international community about whether it intervenes.”
Wounded people still arriving at hospitals in Lebanon, health minister says
Israel has bombed Beirut in a devastating attack that authorities say has led to hundreds of casualties, including dead and wounded. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier said that Lebanon would not be included in the ceasefire.

Beirut struck without warning as areas face devastating impact

We are at a densely populated residential area in Beirut which was hit. There are commercial buildings as well as apartments, home to thousands and thousands of people. They were hit with absolutely no warning.
While many of Israel’s previous strikes have been in areas known to be Hezbollah strongholds, many of today’s strikes are in an area that’s not widely seen as a Hezbollah stronghold. They came without warning and caught people completely by surprise. That had a devastating effect.
Hospitals in Beirut are said to be overwhelmed with hundreds of casualties. There have been numerous callouts on social media for urgent blood donations.
People with injuries were running down the road, trying to seek help. People abandoned their cars in the traffic. People were shouting, children were crying, because of the scenes of total panic in places where people didn’t expect this to happen at all.

With a war crimes habit well and truly formed, Israel had already issued displacement orders for some 14% of Lebanon, including areas south of the Zahrani River, a majority chunk of Beirut’s southern suburbs and cuts of the Beqaa region. Even homicidal routines can shock with spikes of freakish, callous intensity. These included the 100 strikes within 10 minutes on 8 April that resulted in the deaths of at least 303 people, with 1,150 injured. The Israeli authorities claimed that the majority of those killed were members of Hezbollah, though even a two-third fraction takes it into less than principled territory. The targets lay in the southern suburbs of Beirut, southern Lebanon and the eastern Bekaa Valley. In justifying the slaughter, the IDF expressed the usual pride akin to tribes seeking scalps: the raids had “eliminated Ali Yusuf Harshi, the personal secretary and nephew of Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem.” Another official dead, only for another to take his place in due course. The usual, casual destruction of infrastructure that would rankle most justice departments was also celebrated, with the IDF striking “two key crossings used by Hezbollah terrorists and commanders for movement from north to south of the Litani River in Lebanon to transfer thousands of weapons, rockets, and launchers.” Use of such crossings by civilians was of no interest, though the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) did state on 23 March that the destruction of crucial bridges had “significantly [disrupted] movement and humanitarian access”, with certain strikes severing the link between Tyre and Nabatieh, while also limiting “movement between south Lebanon and West Bekaa, including Marjayoun and Hasbaya.” The previous night, Israeli forces struck a building in front of Hiram Hospital in Al-Aabbassiye, near Tyre. This damaged the hospital and cost the lives of four people. Another strike on the Islamic Health Authority in Qlaileh hit an ambulance, resulting in three deaths. When it comes to targeting and the IDF, categories are highly mutable. The UN official must surely know by now that Israel operates in a vacuum all who have committed crimes in international law inhabit, the quarry of the necropolis, the architectural vision of the Grim Reaper. Even the names for Israel’s military operations are drawn increasingly from the dark—literally. “Operation Eternal Darkness was a very powerful blow to Hezbollah, leaving it stunned and confused by the depth of the penetration and the scale of the track,” glowed Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz in his video statement. “More than 200 terrorists were eliminated yesterday, bringing the number of those eliminated in this campaign to 1,400.” This was “more than double the number in the Second Lebanon War.” It’s all about thanatotic accounting.

On Greenland Rutte and Trump only have a verbal agreement, no document signed! They 'force' Denmark to renegotiate an already existing treaty with the US. The consequences of this are still completely unclear.
While the rest of the world is realizing that China and the BRICS are now the serious economies of the world, NATO SG Rutte pretends to worry about Russia and China having access to Greenland's economy. Or perhaps Rutte means; China and Russia having access to Greenlands raw materials, before Trump steals them, like he is now already doing in Venezuela.
Rutte now says that Russia and China making use of the sea lanes opening up in the Arctic is “POTENTIALLY a threat”. Danish politicians have already pointed out that there are no Chinese and Russian vessels near Greenland. And in International waters any nation has the right to sail.

As Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rutte subordinated the interests of the Dutch to his support for accused War Criminal Netanyahu. Now Rutte appears to be abusing his power as Secretary General of NATO to subordinate NATO interests to his support for Trump.
Regardless of what position he holds, Rutte's main goal remains the destruction of the international rule of law. A goal that benefits and increases the power of his "daddy" Trump, his ally, the accused war criminal Netanyahu but also the group who have just created the ominous ‘Board of Peace’. This afternoon they celebrated their initiative with a “New Gaza” slide show, presented by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. It showed futuristic seaside high-rise buildings on the current Gaza Strip where since 2023 a systematic destruction of the original inhabitants, the Palestinian people, takes place.
