Biden zet een verdere stap richting oorlog met China ofwel naar WOIII

Finian Cunningham publiceerde een artikel op Information Clearing House met de titel: 'Biden Just Announced Date for WWIII', ofwel Biden heeft de datum bekend gemaakt voor de Derde Wereldoorlog (WOIII). Moet zeggen dat dit wel heel snel door de bocht is, zeker als je het geduld van China ziet op provocaties van de VS en haar lakeien (andere NAVO-lidstaten).

Al een paar jaar lang tarten de VS en een aantal van haar NAVO-partners China door langs haar territoriale wateren te varen en zelfs door de Straat van Taiwan, dat dit eiland (behorend tot China) tot zelfs over de territoriale wateren van China claimt als behorend bij haar grondgebied, terwijl bijna de hele wereld al decennia geleden heeft gesteld dat Taiwan in feite onderdeel is van China..... 

Biden zou een week of vijf geleden een fout hebben gemaakt toen hij stelde dat de VS zal ingrijpen als China Taiwan tot de orde zou roepen en het eiland zou binnenvallen.... Het Pentagon en het VS ministerie van buitenlandse zaken, hebben haastig op de rem getrapt en na die opmerking van Biden gesteld dat van militaire bijstand geen sprake kan zijn, mocht China het eiland binnenvallen, wel beloofde men Taiwan hulp in de vorm van wapens als raketten........

Echter de Biden administratie heeft bepaald niet stil gezeten en intussen heeft het zelfs een militair pact gesloten met Australië en Groot-Brittannië, te weten: AUKUS, een pact geheel gericht tegen China....... 

Al vanaf de Trump administratie heeft de VS China beschuldigd van ongebreidelde agressie, terwijl zoals gezegd de VS en een aantal van haar NAVO partners telkens weer langs de territoriale wateren van China varen en daarmee deze grote kernmacht tarten.... Daarnaast nemen de VS en de rest van het westen China kwalijk dat het haar territoriale wateren heeft gemilitariseerd met het plaatsen van militaire bases op onbewoonde eilandjes en zelfs opgespoten eilandjes, duidelijk een reactie van China op de westerse door de VS geleide agressie langs haar territoriale wateren, NB duizenden kilometers verwijderd van de eigen territoriale wateren..... Voorts heeft de VS intussen 400 militaire bases geïnstalleerd vanwaar China bestookt kan worden met raketten, straaljagers en bommenwerpers...... "Hoe bedoelt u: Chinese agressie??"

Als China hetzelfde zou flikken langs de territoriale wateren van de VS, waren we al lang beland in WOIII...... Het is dan ook juist aan de Chinese regering te danken dat het nog steeds niet met enorme agressie heeft gereageerd op de westerse agressie in haar invloedsfeer en we nog niet zijn beland in WOIII...... Nogmaals gezien het voorgaande: Cunningham gaat wel erg snel door de bocht met de kop op zijn artikel. Wat overigens niet wil zeggen dat het westen geen uiterst gevaarlijk spel speelt en dat oorlog niet mogelijk zou zijn.... 

De westerse pers stond een aantal weken geleden op de kop toen men stelde dat China gevechtsvliegtuigen door het luchtruim van Taiwan had laten vliegen, een enorme leugen, deze vliegtuigen vlogen boven zee en door het luchtruim dat Taiwan volkomen ten onrechte tot haar grondgebied rekent....... Als je dit soort leugens (overduidelijke propaganda en demonisering van China) ziet in de reguliere westerse media en daar westerse politici over hoort fulmineren, zou je 'bijna denken' dat men een oorlog met China wenst......*

Vergeet hierbij niet dat de VS en Groot-Brittannië (GB) respectievelijk onder 'vredesduif' Obama en premier May hebben gesteld een eerste aanval met kernwapens niet uit te sluiten, terwijl tot die tijd het kernwapen een afschrikkingswapen was, ofwel alleen gebruikt als men zelf met kernwapens wordt aangevallen.... De reguliere westerse media hebben daar amper een woord aan vuil gemaakt, pas toen Rusland een paar maanden later hetzelfde liet weten, overduidelijk als reactie op de VS en GB, sloegen de reguliere westerse media en politiek op tilt en ging volledig het dak uit 'over zoveel Russische agressie.....' Verder moet nog opgemerkt worden dat de VS een kernoorlog denkt te kunnen overleven en heeft zelfs kernwapens ontwikkeld die op het slagveld gebruikt kunnen worden.....

Alsof China en niet de VS en haar NAVO-bipslikkers deze eeuw al 5 miljoen mensen hebben vermoord in illegale oorlogen en middels rechteloze aanslagen met drones (waarbij 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht van terreur...)......

Biden heeft alweer een nieuwe stap richting WOIII gezet door op komende 9 en 10 december een conferentie te beleggen met 110 'democratisch geregeerde landen', waarvoor hij ook Taiwan heeft uitgenodigd en niet China, ofwel weer een klap in het gezicht voor China...... Terecht heeft de Chinese minister van buitenlandse zaken, Wang Yi laten weten dat het niet aan de VS is om uit te maken welk land wel of niet een democratie is, zeker als je bedenkt dat de VS allesbehalve een democratie is, immers miljoenen mensen mogen niet eens stemmen dan wel het stemmen wordt hen onmogelijk gemaakt (wat bij de volgende verkiezingen nog sterker te zien zal zijn, daar Republikeins bestuurde staten nog meer belemmeringen hebben opgeworpen zodat het gekleurde burgers onmogelijk is gemaakt om nog hun stem uit te kunnen brengen....)

Trouwens als de VS zo hangt aan democratie zoals het telkens weer laat weten, wat onder Biden een nog grotere vlucht heeft genomen, waarom onderhoudt het dan zulke goede banden met dictatoriaal geregeerde landen**, neem Saoedi-Arabië, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE), Egypte, een paar landen in Europa, Azië en een aantal landen in Zuid en Midden-Amerika......

Cunningham ging wel te snel door de bocht, maar nogmaals: het is zeker dat het westen een uiterst gevaarlijk spel speelt dat zomaar kan leiden tot WOIII....... (Cunningham merkt terecht op dat Rusland aan de zijde van China zal vechten, mochten de VS en haar NAVO-partners, dan wel AUKUS China aanvallen....)

Biden Just Announced Date for WWIII

November 28, 202: Information Clearing House - The Biden administration this week brazenly announced its intention to walk over China’s red line warning on Taiwan. The move by the US is a recklessly provocative step that dares an inevitable military response from Beijing.

If that happens then all bets are off for a full-scale military confrontation between the United States, its allies, and China. It is not alarmist to say such a clash would escalate into World War III.

Australia and Britain are explicitly committed to a military alliance with the United States in the Asia-Pacific through the recently formed AUKUS pact. Russia will be obliged to defend China.

The date in question is December 9-10 when the Biden administration plays host to a so-called “Summit of Democracies”. This week the State Department announced a list of “participants” that include 110 countries. China and Russia are not invited, among other excluded nations.

Most provocatively, the separatist Chinese territory of Taiwan is invited to attend the video conference. The US is careful to refer to Taiwan as a “participant” not as a “nation”. Nevertheless, this semantical device aside, the invitation is a blatant violation of China’s sovereign claim of authority over Taiwan.

China’s claim to Taiwan as being a part of its integral territory is recognized by the United Nations and, at least in theory, by the United States with its One China Policy since 1979.

The island of Taiwan has existed as a self-governing territory since China’s civil war ended in 1949 with communist victory. The nationalist opponents fled to Taiwan. China retains the right to reunite Taiwan under governance from the mainland. Beijing has warned it will do so by military force if Taiwan ever declares independence.

Washington maintains a position of “strategic ambiguity” whereby it acknowledges a One China Policy while also simultaneously offering US commitments to help Taiwan with military defence.

Since Joe Biden took the White House in January, his administration has taken this ambiguity to dangerous levels. At one point, Biden has overstepped policy by explicitly stating the US would defend Taiwan in the event of a confrontation with China.

At a teleconference summit on November 16, China’s President Xi Jinping admonished US policy on Taiwan as “playing with fire”. Xi drew a red line that Washington must desist from inciting separatist ambitions of the Taiwanese government.

 

The announcement this week of the “Summit of Democracies” and specifically the invitation of Taiwan while excluding China is about as bold as it can get by the Biden administration in undermining China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. That it comes only days after a verbal commitment from Biden to Xi that the US adheres to One China Policy and is not seeking Taiwan’s independence makes the provocation all the more contemptuous.

 

Biden’s ratcheting up of tensions with China is not out of the blue. For more than a decade, successive administrations under Obama, Trump and now Biden have been targeting Beijing as its top national security threat. Washington continually accuses China of aggression in the Asia-Pacific which is an inversion of reality. Taiwan has become a spearhead for Washington to antagonize China with. Under this administration, arms sales to Taiwan have increased as well as US naval and air force maneuvers in the Taiwan Strait under the cynical pretext of “freedom of navigation operations”.

 

President Biden has made “democracy versus authoritarianism” a theme of his White House. Calling a summit of 110 participating countries for the summit on December 9-10 is an arrogant attempt to demarcate the world into a false dichotomy whereby presumed virtuous nations are under the benign leadership of the United States.

 

China has slammed the summit as an artificial polarization of nations into so-called allies and enemies in what is a throwback to the Cold War decades. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this divisive manipulation of international relations is simply a ploy by the United States to exert its hegemonic ambitions.

 

China says it is not up to the United States to define what is democracy and what is not. Beijing asserts that “democracy belongs to all humanity”. It’s not just about holding cycles of elections. In the case of the United States, its “democracy” is dominated by two parties bankrolled by Wall Street capitalists and plutocrats. Its record on poverty, inequality, racism and warmongering is plentiful to roundly negate pretentious claims of “democracy”.

 

In any case, back in August when the Biden administration first announced its plans for a “democracy summit” Beijing warned Washington not to use the forum to incite Taiwanese tensions. If the US persisted, China said it would order military planes and warships to Taiwan.

 

There is an unmistakable sense that China has had it with US provocations. The mainland has been making military preparations for a showdown over Taiwan. This insane move by Washington to call a “summit of democracies” – how bitterly ironic – could well be the final act of American treachery. War is on the cards and we just got a date.

Putin gaf het westen een memorabele les geopolitiek

De laatste jaarlijkse toespraak van Putin tegenover het volk en diverse overheidsorganisaties ging hoofdzakelijk over Russische binnenlandse aangelegenheden, waarbij hij sprak over politieke voornemens als het helpen van Russen die in nood zitten, mensen die moeten leven van een laag inkomen, kinderen, alleenstaande moeders, jonge professionals en kansarmen. Hulp in de vorm van gratis gezondheidscheques tot een universeel inkomen in de nabije toekomst.

Het buitenland en zoals je begrijpt het westen besprak Putin op een wel heel bijzondere manier als een metafoor op Junglebook van schrijver Kipling. Hij begon daarvoor over de internationale verhoudingen waarbij hij Wit-Rusland noemde en openbaarde dat er een complot is ontdekt om (dictator) Loekasjenko om zeep te helpen en hoe kan het anders: daar zitten geheime diensten van de VS achter...... Zoals altijd in dit soort gevallen en daarbij gaat het meestal om democratisch gekozen regeringen en hun leiders die niet braaf doen wat de VS van hen verlangt, waarbij men demonstraties organiseert en financiert, waarna men probeert een opstand te organiseren, als eerste door zo'n land illegaal sancties op te leggen (op basis van leugens, zoals 'mensenrechtenschendingen'), sancties die immer braaf worden overgenomen door Groot-Brittannië, de EU en Canada, sancties ook die het volk van zo'n land ontevreden moeten maken, waarbij men hoopt dat het volk haar president of premier dwingt op te stappen, als dat niet lukt is men bereid om grof geweld in te zetten en uiteindelijk desnoods zo'n land binnen te vallen, het liefst 'gelegitimeerd' door een false fag operatie*, een specialiteit van de VS....

De geheime diensten van Rusland en Wit-Rusland zijn erachter gekomen dat men zelfs van zins was om de hoofdstad Minsk te blokkeren, inclusief het platleggen van de infrastructuur en communicatie, plus de totale elektriciteitstoevoer naar deze stad, dit zou tevens de aanloop zijn naar een enorme cyber aanval. Daarom heeft Putin nog eens bevestigd dat Rusland niet met zich noch met haar partners zal laten sollen...... (vergeet hierbij niet dat Wit-Rusland of Belarus van groot strategische belang is, niet alleen voor Rusland, maar zeker voor de zeer agressieve VS, dat Rusland en China heeft omgeven met een paar honderd van haar militaire bases, waaronder een 'raketschild' in Polen en Roemenië, zogenaamd tegen raketten uit Iran, terwijl deze raketten in een mum van tijd kunnen worden voorzien van meerdere kernkoppen en daarmee Russische steden kunnen raken, wat volgens het door de VS geschonden INF verdrag verboden was.....)

Putin stelde verder dat e.e.a. leidt tot een 'oncomfortabele waarheid': "Blijkbaar is het niet zonder reden dat onze westerse collega's zo koppig meerdere voorstellen van Rusland hebben afgewezen, voorstellen voor een internationale dialoog op het gebied van informatie en cyberveiligheid". (moet je nagaan en dan durven diezelfde westerse landen keer op keer Rusland te beschuldigen van cyberaanvallen, zonder ook maar één steekhoudend bewijs te leveren; maar vergeet niet dat de CIA een cyberaanval kan uitvoeren en de sporen bijvoorbeeld naar Rusland kan laten leiden, zoals blijkt uit officiële CIA en NSA documenten op Wikileaks, zo heeft de VS een cyberaanval uitgevoerd en de schuld daarvoor in de schoenen geschoven van het Russische Kaspersky Lab....**)   

Putin vervolgde met te zeggen dat het in het westen blijkbaar een sport is geworden om Rusland aan te vallen met zo luid mogelijke verklaringen (die de grootste leugens bevatten, Ap). Op dat moment begon Putin met zijn vergelijkingen met junglebook, waarbij hij wees op de jackhals Tabaqui die de tijger Shere Kan als hulp begeleidde, in dit geval sprak hij over meerdere jackhalzen, een duidelijke verwijzing naar de westerse landen die slaafs de VS volgen en daarbij zonder onderzoek alle leugens geloven die in de VS worden bekokstoofd...... Uiteraard verzinnen die westerse landen zelf ook veel flauwe kul zoals D666 kwaadaardigheid en thorbetert minister Ollongren, deze ploert durfde te beweren dat de Nederlandse verkiezingen en het Oekraïne referendum werden gemanipuleerd door Rusland..... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Ja excuus beste bezoeker, maar telkens als ik daaraan moet denken krijg ik de slappe lacht, wat een gek!! (natuurlijk zonder dat deze kwezel ook maar één bewijs geeft voor haar leugens en ondanks dat hebben de Nederlandse media deze leugens overgenomen, sterker nog: ze dragen deze nog steeds uit >> ongelofelijk!!!)

Putin stelde dat Rusland geen bruggen wil verbranden, maar als 'iemand' onze goede bedoelingen als onbeduidend of zwakte ziet en deze bruggen totaal wil verbranden of zelfs zou willen opblazen, deze moet weten dat het Russische antwoord asymmetrisch, snel en hard zal zijn.........

Pepe Escobar die het hieronder opgenomen artikel plaatste op Strategic Culture (ik nam het over van Information Clearing House) stelt dat het voorgaande de nieuwe jungle wet is en degene die de Beer port tot het punt waarop de fundamentele belangen van de Russische veiligheid worden bedreigd, het zullen betreuren zoals ze sinds lange tijd iets niet hebben betreurd............

De verbazende gebeurtenissen van de laatste tijd, waarbij Escobar wijst op de Alaska top tussen China en de VS, de top tussen de Russische minister van BuZa Lavrov en diens Chinese partner Wang Yi, de NAVO top en de Iran-China deal, die samenvloeien in een nieuwe realiteit: het tijdperk van de unilaterale laviathan die de ijzeren wil oplegt is voorbij!! (waar met het zeemonster laviathan uiteraard de VS wordt bedoeld)

Voor de Russofoben die de boodschap van Putin niet hebben begrepen, heeft een koele, kalme en bedaarde Putin nog toegevoegd dat: 'We genoeg geduld, verantwoording, professionalisme, zelfvertrouwen en zelfverzekerdheid hebben in de juistheid van onze positie en ons gezond verstand zullen gebruiken bij het maken van beslissingen. Waaraan Putin toevoegde dat hij hoopt dat niemand zal denken de zogenaamde Russische rode lijn te overschrijden en waar ze dat toch doen, wij bepalen hoe we zullen reageren op elke specifieke zaak (een slechte vertaling van mijn kant, mijn excuus, zit nog steeds in de lappenmand en dat maakt het concentreren en schrijven extra moeilijk)

Lees het artikel van Pepe Escobar en bedenk in het vervolg dat elke demonisering van Rusland maar één doel dient: het dienen van het VS belang!! De VS, het land dat vanaf 2000 al meer dan 5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord (met hulp van andere NAVO lidstaten als Nederland) en dat in illegale oorlogen, door de CIA georganiseerde opstanden, geheime militaire operaties tot slot het uitermate smerige gebruik van drones om verdachten te vermoorden, waarbij in de praktijk meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, veelal vrouwen en kinderen....... Putin rewrites the law of the geopolitical jungle

May 03, 2021 "Information Clearing House" - - "SCF" - Putin’s address to the Russian Federal Assembly – a de facto State of the Nation – was a judo move that left Atlanticist sphere hawks particularly stunned.

The “West” was not even mentioned by name. Only indirectly, or via a delightful metaphor, Kipling’s Jungle Book. Foreign policy was addressed only at the end, almost as an afterthought.

For the best part of an hour and a half, Putin concentrated on domestic issues, detailing a series of policies that amount to the Russian state helping those in need – low income families, children, single mothers, young professionals, the underprivileged – with, for instance, free health checks all the way to the possibility of an universal income in the near future.

Of course he would also need to address the current, highly volatile state of international relations. The concise manner he chose to do it, counter-acting the prevailing Russophobia in the Atlanticist sphere, was quite striking.

First, the essentials. Russia’s policy “is to ensure peace and security for the well-being of our citizens and for the stable development of our country.”

Yet if “someone does not want to…engage in dialogue, but chooses an egoistic and arrogant tone, Russia will always find a way to stand up for its position.”

He singled out “the practice of politically motivated, illegal economic sanctions” to connect it to “something much more dangerous”, and actually rendered invisible in the Western narrative: “the recent attempt to organize a coup d’etat in Belarus and the assassination of that country’s president.” Putin made sure to stress, “all boundaries have been crossed”.

The plot to kill Lukashenko was unveiled by Russian and Belarusian intel – which detained several actors backed, who else, US intel. The US State Department predictably denied any involvement.

Putin: “It is worth pointing to the confessions of the detained participants in the conspiracy that a blockade of Minsk was being prepared, including its city infrastructure and communications, the complete shutdown of the entire power grid of the Belarusian capital. This, incidentally means preparations for a massive cyber-attack.”

And that leads to a very uncomfortable truth: “Apparently, it’s not for no reason that our Western colleagues have stubbornly rejected numerous proposals by the Russian side to establish an international dialogue in the field of information and cyber-security.”

“Asymmetric, swift and harsh”

Putin remarked how to “attack Russia” has become “a sport, a new sport, who makes the loudest statements.” And then he went full Kipling: “Russia is attacked here and there for no reason. And of course, all sorts of petty Tabaquis [jackals] are running around like Tabaqui ran around Shere Khan [the tiger] – everything is like in Kipling’s book – howling along and ready to serve their sovereign. Kipling was a great writer”.

The – layered – metaphor is even more startling as it echoes the late 19^th century geopolitical Great Game between the British and Russian empires, of which Kipling was a protagonist.

Once again Putin had to stress that “we really don’t want to burn any bridges. But if someone perceives our good intentions as indifference or weakness and intends to burn those bridges completely or even blow them up, he should know that Russia’s response will be asymmetric, swift and harsh”.

So here’s the new law of the geopolitical jungle – backed by Mr. Iskander, Mr. Kalibr, Mr. Avangard, Mr. Peresvet, Mr. Khinzal, Mr. Sarmat, Mr. Zircon and other well-respected gentlemen, hypersonic and otherwise, later complimented on the record. Those who poke the Bear to the point of threatening “the fundamental interests of our security will regret what has been done, as they have regretted nothing for a very long time.”

The stunning developments of the past few weeks – the China-US Alaska summit, the Lavrov-Wang Yi summit in Guilin, the NATO summit, the Iran-China strategic deal, Xi Jinping’s speech at the Boao forum – now coalesce into a stark new reality: the era of a unilateral Leviathan imposing its iron will is over.

For those Russophobes who still haven’t got the message, a cool, calm and collected Putin was compelled to add, “clearly, we have enough patience, responsibility, professionalism, self-confidence, self-assurance in the correctness of our position and common sense when it comes to making any decisions. But I hope that no one will think about crossing Russia’s so-called red lines. And where they run, we determine ourselves in each specific case.”

Back to realpolitik, Putin once again had to stress the “special responsibility” of the “five nuclear states” to seriously discuss “issues related to strategic armament”. It’s an open question whether the Biden-Harris administration – behind which stand a toxic cocktail of neo-cons and humanitarian imperialists – will agree.

Putin: “The goal of such negotiations could be to create an environment of conflict-free coexistence based on equal security, covering not only strategic weapons such as intercontinental ballistic missiles, heavy bombers and submarines, but also, I would like to emphasize, all offensive and defensive systems capable of solving strategic tasks, regardless of their equipment.”

As much as Xi’s address to the Boao forum was mostly directed to the Global South, Putin highlighted how “we are expanding contacts with our closest partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the BRICS, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the allies of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”, and extolled “joint projects in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union”, billed as “practical tools for solving the problems of national development.”

In a nutshell: integration in effect, following the Russian concept of “Greater Eurasia”.

“Tensions skirting wartime levels”

Now compare all of the above with the White House Executive Order (EO) declaring a “national emergency” to “deal with the Russian threat”.

This is directly connected to President Biden – actually the combo telling him what to do, complete with earpiece and teleprompter – promising Ukraine’s President Zelensky that Washington would “take measures” to support Kiev’s wishful thinking of retaking Donbass and Crimea.

There are several eyebrow-raising issues with this EO. It denies, de facto, to any Russian national the full rights to their US property. Any US resident may be accused of being a Russian agent engaged in undermining US security. A sub-sub paragraph (C), detailing “actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in the United States or abroad”, is vague enough to be used to eliminate any journalism that supports Russia’s positions in international affairs.

Purchases of Russian OFZ bonds have been sanctioned, as well as one of the companies involved in the production of the Sputnik V vaccine. Yet the icing on this sanction cake may well be that from now on all Russian citizens, including dual citizens, may be barred from entering US territory except via a rare special authorization on top of the ordinary visa.

The Russian paper Vedomosti has noted that in such paranoid atmosphere the risks for large companies such as Yandex or Kaspersky Lab are significantly increasing. Still, these sanctions have not been met with surprise in Moscow. The worst is yet to come, according to Beltway insiders: two packages of sanctions against Nord Stream 2 already approved by the US Department of Justice.

The crucial point is that this EO de facto places anyone reporting on Russia’s political positions as potentially threatening “American democracy”. As top political analyst Alastair Crooke has remarked, this is a “procedure usually reserved for citizens of enemy states during times of war”. Crooke adds, “US hawks are upping the ante fiercely against Moscow. Tensions and rhetoric are skirting wartime levels.”

It’s an open question whether Putin’s State of the Nation will be seriously examined by the toxic lunatic combo of neocons and humanitarian imperialists bent on simultaneously harassing Russia and China.

But the fact is something extraordinary has already started to happen: a “de-escalation” of sorts.

Even before Putin’s address, Kiev, NATO and the Pentagon apparently got the message implicit in Russia moving two armies, massive artillery batteries and airborne divisions to the borders of Donbass and to Crimea – not to mention top naval assets moved from the Caspian to the Black Sea. NATO could not even dream of matching that.

Facts on different grounds speak volumes. Both Paris and Berlin were terrified of a possible Kiev clash directly against Russia, and lobbied furiously against it, bypassing the EU and NATO.

Then someone – it might have been Jake Sullivan – must have whispered on Crash Test Dummy’s earpiece that you don’t go around insulting the head of a nuclear state and expect to keep your global “credibility”. So after that by now famous “Biden” phone call to Putin came the invitation to the climate change summit, in which any lofty promises are largely rhetorical, as the Pentagon will continue to be the largest polluting entity on planet Earth.

So Washington may have found a way to keep at least one avenue of dialogue open with Moscow. At the same time Moscow has no illusions whatsoever that the Ukraine/Donbass/Crimea drama is over. Even if Putin did not mention it in the State of the Nation. And even if Defense Minister Shoigu has ordered a de-escalation.

The always inestimable Andrei Martyanov has gleefully noted the “cultural shock when Brussels and D.C. started to suspect that Russia doesn’t ‘want’ Ukraine. What Russia wants is for this country to rot and implode without excrement from this implosion hitting Russia. West’s paying for the clean up of this clusterf**k is also in Russian plans for Ukrainian Bantustan.”

The fact that Putin did not even mention Bantustan in his speech corroborates this analysis. As far as “red lines” are concerned, Putin’s implicit message remains the same: a NATO base on Russia’s western flank simply won’t be tolerated. Paris and Berlin know it. The EU is in denial. NATO will always refuse to admit it.

We always come back to the same crucial issue: whether Putin will be able, against all odds, to pull a combined Bismarck-Sun Tzu move and build a lasting German-Russian entente cordiale (and that’s quite far from an “alliance’). Nord Stream 2 is an essential cog in the wheel – and that’s what’s driving Washington hawks crazy.

Whatever happens next, for all practical purposes Iron Curtain 2.0 is now on, and it simply won’t go away. There will be more sanctions. Everything was thrown at the Bear short of a hot war. It will be immensely entertaining to watch how, and via which steps, Washington will engage on a “de-escalation and diplomatic process” with Russia.

The Hegemon may always find a way to deploy a massive P.R. campaign and ultimately claim a diplomatic success in “dissolving” the impasse. Well, that certainly beats a hot war. Otherwise, lowly Jungle Book adventurers have been advised: try anything funny and be ready to meet “asymmetric, swift and harsh”.

Alsof de Koude Oorlog nooit is weggeweest: Boris Johnson heeft Groot-Brittannië (GB) achter de VS geschaard wat betreft vijandigheden tegen China..... Daarbij stuurt GB zelfs een vliegdekschip naar de Zuid-Chinese Zee...... Alsof dat al niet genoeg getuigt van agressieve politiek heeft de Britse regering ook besloten haar arsenaal aan kernwapens uit te breiden van 180 naar 260, ofwel met meer dan 40%!!! Let wel: terwijl GB één van de ondertekenaars is van het Non-proliferatieverdrag (NPV), officieel het Verdrag inzake de niet-verspreiding van kernwapens.......

Bijzonder gevaarlijk is het feit dat GB als de VS een paar jaar geleden, al onder premier May heeft laten weten zich het recht voor te behouden om kernwapens als eerste in te zetten, waarmee het kernwapen niet langer een afschrikkingswapen is, dus als waarschuwing voor een andere kernwapenstaat dit wapen niet in te zetten tegen bijvoorbeeld GB, daar GB anders terug zal slaan met kernwapens........ Een zaak die de Koude Oorlog koud hield en we niet zijn beland in een kernoorlog en wij, behorend tot het gewone volk, in feite nog leven..... (vreemd overigens dat Ramzy Baroud, de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, deze zaak niet niet noemt, dus dat het kernwapen niet langer een afschrikkingswapen is maar een aanvalswapen)

In de Koude Oorlog bestond er een (kern-) wapenrace tussen de VS en Rusland, een strijd die Rusland niet kon winnen, wellicht denken de VS (dat bezig is haar enorme kernwapenarsenaal te vernieuwen) en GB dat ze China op dezelfde manier onderuit kunnen halen, echter er is één groot verschil, in tegenstelling tot Rusland, heeft China een economie die draait als een tierelier en ervoor zorgt dat China op dat gebied groter zal worden dan de VS (dat gezien haar enorme staatsschuld in failliet zou moeten zijn, althans al het een ander land was geweest......)

Al is er een groot risico dat deze Koude Oorlog 2.0 (tegen zowel China als Rusland) kan uitmonden in een bloedhete (kern-) oorlog, niet alleen gezien het zojuist genoemde feit dat zowel de VS als Groot-Brittannië zich het recht voorbehouden een kernoorlog te starten*, maar juist ook de reactie van China dat de bouw van marineschepen sterk heeft uitgebreid, maar wat wil je als je ziet dat de VS doet of de Zuid-Chinese Zee tot haar territoriale wateren behoort en dat op een paar duizend kilometer vanaf die wateren...... (wat GB nu dus ook gaat doen)

Wat de VS en de rest van het westen hebben bereikt met hun anti-Chinese en Russische propaganda en in feite illegale sancties tegen die landen is deze 2 kerngrootmachten in elkaars armen drijven, waar je in feite Iran ook nog aan toe kan voegen..... Hoe ongelofelijk dom moet je zijn, althans als je als westen deze landen zo nodig de baas wilt worden (wat gelukkig voor de bevolkingen van die landen al een paar decennia niet meer mogelijk is)

Wat het westen en dan m.n. de VS en GB wel voor elkaar hebben gekregen is een nieuwe kernwapenwedloop, terwijl deze 2 landen zogenaamd tegen de verdere verspreiding en fabricage zijn van kernwapens...... Je kan China en Rusland dan ook niet verwijten dat ze hetzelfde doen (onder Obama was men al bezig met het ontwikkelen van een nieuwe generatie kernraketten), vergeet daarbij niet dat de VS een raketschild heeft opgetrokken in Polen en Roemenië, zogenaamd tegen inkomende raketten uit Iran (ha! ha! ha! alsof Iran ooit een ander land heeft aangevallen met raketten.... De VS kan deze raketten in een mum van tijd voorzien van meerdere kernkoppen, waarmee de VS het INF-verdrag heeft geschonden en niet Rusland met haar nieuwe raketten, zoals de VS onder Trump beweerde, terwijl  de VS deze raketten op aanbod van Rusland niet eens wilde en wil controleren...... De raketten van het VS schild kunnen Russische steden raken die binnen de afstand vallen die is verboden in het INF-verdrag........ (vandaar ook dat de VS Rusland beschuldigde dit verdrag te hebben geschonden, immers men gelooft daar en in de rest van de NAVO-lidstaten nog steeds het hersenspinsel dat de aanval de beste verdediging is.......

Ik vind het gezien het voorgaande dan ook verbazingwekkend dat men in het westen niet de straat opgaat om te demonstreren, daar de situatie nu veel gevaarlijker is dan ten tijde van de plannen om kruisraketten te plaatsen en de grootste demonstraties ooit plaatsvonden in Nederland....... Vergeet niet dat bij een kernwapenoorlog Nederland één van de eerste doelen zal zijn voor Rusland daar wij VS kernwapens op ons grondgebied hebben, wapens waar Nederland niets over te zeggen heeft, ook al zou Nederland zich uitspreken tegen zo'n oorlog....... Kortom onze opvolgende regeringen hebben het Nederlandse volk tot doel gemaakt van aanvallen met kernwapens, hoe is het gvd mogelijk??!!!

Nuclear Weapons Blazing: Britain Enters the US-China Fray

Boris Johnson’s March 16 speech before the British Parliament was reminiscent, at least in tone, to that of Chinese President Xi Jinping in October 2019, on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China.

The comparison is quite apt if we remember the long-anticipated shift in Britain’s foreign policy and Johnson’s conservative Government’s pressing need to chart a new global course in search for new allies – and new enemies.

Xi’s words in 2019 signaled a new era in Chinese foreign policy, where Beijing hoped to send a message to its allies and enemies that the rules of the game were finally changing in its favor, and that China’s economic miracle – launchedunder the leadership of Deng Xiaoping in 1992 – would no longer be confined to the realm of wealth accumulation, but would exceed this to politics and military strength, as well.

In China’s case, Xi’s declarations were not a shift per se, but rather a rational progression. However, in the case of Britain, the process, though ultimately rational, is hardly straightforward. After officially leaving the European Union in January 2020, Britain was expected to articulate a new national agenda. This articulation, however, was derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the multiple crises it generated.

Several scenarios, regarding the nature of Britain’s new agenda, were plausible:

+ One, that Britain maintains a degree of political proximity to the EU, thus avoiding more negative repercussions of Brexit;

+ Two, for Britain to return to its former alliance with the US, begun in earnest in the post-World War II era and the formation of NATO and reaching its zenith in the run up to the Iraq invasion in 2003;

+ Finally, for Britain to play the role of the mediator, standing at an equal distance among all parties, so that it may reap the benefits of its unique position as a strong country with a massive global network.

A government’s report, “Global Britain in a Competitive Age”, released on March 16, and Johnson’s  subsequent speech, indicate that Britain has chosen the second option.

The report clearly prioritizes the British-American alliance above all others, stating that “The United States will remain the UK’s most important strategic ally and partner”, and underscoring Britain’s need to place greater focus on the ‘Indo-Pacific’ region, calling it “the centre of intensifying geopolitical competition”.

Therefore, unsurprisingly, Britain is now set to dispatch a military carrier to the South China Sea, and is preparing to expand its nuclear arsenal from 180 to 260 warheads, in obvious violation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). The latter move can be directly attributed to Britain’s new political realignment which roughly follows the maxim of ‘the enemy of my friend is my enemy’.

The government’s report places particular emphasis on China, warning against its increased “international assertiveness” and “growing importance in the Indo-Pacific”. Furthermore, it calls for greater investment in enhancing “China-facing capabilities” and responding to “the systematic challenge” that China “poses to our security”.

How additional nuclear warheads will allow Britain to achieve its above objectives remains uncertain. Compared with Russia and the US, Britain’s nuclear arsenal, although duly destructive, is negligible in terms of its overall size. However, as history has taught us, nuclear weapons are rarely manufactured to be used in war – with the single exception of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The number of nuclear warheads and the precise position of their operational deployment are usually meant to send a message, not merely that of strength or resolve, but also to delineate where a specific country stands in terms of its alliances.

The US-Soviet Cold War, for example, was expressed largely through a relentless arms race, with nuclear weapons playing a central role in that polarizing conflict, which divided the world into two major ideological-political camps.

Now that China is likely to claim the superpower status enjoyed by the Soviets until the early 1990s, a new Great Game and Cold War can be felt, not only in the Asia Pacific region, but as far away as Africa and South America. While Europe continues to hedge its bets in this new global conflict – reassured by the size of its members’ collective economies – Britain, thanks to Brexit, no longer has that leverage. No longer an EU member, Britain is now keen to protect its global interests through a direct commitment to US interests. Now that China has been designated as America’s new enemy, Britain must play along.

While much media coverage has been dedicated to the expansion of Britain’s nuclear arsenal, little attention has been paid to the fact that the British move is a mere step in a larger political scheme, which ultimately aims at executing a British tilt to Asia, similar to the US ‘pivot to Asia’, declared by the Barack Obama Administration nearly a decade ago.

The British foreign policy shift is an unprecedented gamble for London, as the nature of the new Cold War is fundamentally different from the previous one; this time around, the ‘West’ is divided, torn by politics and crises, while NATO is no longer the superpower it once was.

Now that Britain has made its position clear, the ball is in the Chinese court, and the new Great Game is, indeed, afoot.

Deze week vindt de jaarlijkse conferentie van het WEF plaats, niet in Davos maar virtueel. Men zal vooral spreken over de Coronacrisis ('de wereld redden') en wat je ook denkt over het vaccin, dus wel of juist niet nemen, is het een feit dat de rijke westerse landen beslag hebben gelegd op grote voorraden vaccins zodat de arme landen het voorlopig wel kunnen vergeten en daar beste bezoeker, zal het WEF niets aan veranderen!! (een aantal van die landen kunnen overigens wel op steun met vaccins uit China en Rusland rekenen, je weet wel de landen die men in het westen in navolging van Trump de as van het kwaad is gaan noemen....)

Republikeinen noemen Biden een Xi marionet, terwijl hij de koude oorlog met China verder zal uitbouwen

Zoals verwacht: nu Biden de presidentsverkiezingen definitief heeft gewonnen, komt de Republikeinse Partij met beschuldigingen dat Biden een marionet is van China. Dit terwijl Biden zich omringt met figuren voor sleutelposities die bij de Republikeinen goed liggen......

Zo is de te verwachten nieuwe minister van defensie voor de VS, Michele Flournoy, een politicus die juni dit jaar nog liet weten, dat de VS een wapenrace ('arms race') moet beginnen om de capaciteit te verkrijgen een geloofwaardige dreiging te kunnen laten uitgaan aan het adres van China dat de VS in staat is om binnen 72 uur in de Zuid-Chinese Zee alle Chinese oorlogsschepen, duikboten en koopvaardijschepen te torpederen........ Hoe bedoelt u slap beleid tegen China???

Het is als de mantra van de Democratische Partij dat Trump een lakei van Rusland zou zijn, terwijl hij de koude oorlog tegen Rusland (nieuw) leven heeft ingeblazen en het land continu aan haar westgrenzen te maken heeft met militaire oefeningen van de VS en de andere NAVO-partners........ (zo meer daarover)

De minister van buitenlandse zaken onder Obama zal Antony 'Tony' Blinken zijn, een havik die op meerdere gebieden de strijd aan wil gaan met China, dus ook op economisch gebied, precies wat Trump heeft gedaan..... Voorts heeft Blinken al aangegeven dat hij achter de demonstranten in Hongkong staat en alles zal doen om hen te steunen en China dus dwars te zitten..... Niet vreemd dus dat Blinken goed ligt bij de Republikeinen......

Jake Sullivan die Biden aan zal wijzen als National Security Advisor, alweer een havik die stelt dat China zich opmaakt om de wereldleider te worden ten koste van de VS....... Hoorde op 30 november een deel van BBC's Hardtalk, een gesprek tussen de neoliberale hufter en presentator Stephen Sackur en de VS ambassadeur voor de EU onder Obama, Anthony Gardner. Deze liet weten dat Blinken een groot verschil zal maken met het buitenlandbeleid van de Trump administratie......... ha! ha! ha! ha! Dan te bedenken dat deze Blinken adviseur was voor oorlogsmisdadiger Obama (waar hij o.a. ook oorlogsmisdadiger Hillary Clinton adviseerde over het zo ongeveer vernietigen van Libië), Clinton was destijds de eerste minister van buitenlandse zaken in die administratie en werd opgevolgd door John Kerry.

Kortom als Biden een lakei van China zou zijn, zou hij zeker deze figuren niet aanstellen, bovendien is hij afhankelijk van de senaat voor goedkeuring van de kandidaten die hij aanwijst en is daarmee gebonden wat betreft de keuzes die hij maakt (waarschijnlijk blijft de senaat ook na a.s. 5 januari, wanneer er senaatsverkiezingen worden gehouden in Georgia, in handen van de Republikeinen, waardoor het Biden moeilijk zal vallen om te regeren zonder steun van deze partij........

Ondanks alles blijft men in de Republikeinse Partij pijlen afschieten op Biden met fantastische verhalen dat hij de economie naar de knoppen zal helpen met hulp van China......

Caitlin Johnstone gaat verder in op de demonisering van Biden door de Republikeinen, waarbij ze juist laat zien dat Biden waarschijnlijk een grotere ramp zal zijn voor de buitenlandspolitiek van de VS dan Obama en Trump samen...... Volgens Caitlin terecht opegemerkt: alles mogelijk gemaakt door de echoënde media in de VS, die ook 4 jaar lang Trump afschilderden als een Russische agent, terwijl hij zoals gezegd juist de koude oorlog met dat land opnieuw heeft opgetuigd en een poltiek ontwikkelde tegen dat land, die zelfs tijdens de grote Koude Oorlog niet voor mogelijk zou zijn gehouden, zoals het herhalen dat de VS zich het recht voorbehoud een kernoorlog te beginnen, i.p.v. het kernwapen als afschrikkingsmiddel te zien, zoals het altijd werd gepresenteerd ('als we worden aangevallen met kernwapens zullen we terugslaan met kernwapens').......

Prior to the US election I wrote a couple of articles saying that if Biden wins he will be attacked by the right as a Xi Jinping puppet even as he escalates dangerous cold war aggressions with China, in exactly the same way Trump was attacked by Democrats as a Putin puppet even as he escalated dangerous cold war aggressions with Russia. This extremely obvious prediction is of course already coming true.

I'm still getting dopey wingnuts in my social media notifications telling me that Biden is a Xi Jinping puppet who is going to be soft on China, even as Biden packs his cabinet with virulent anti-China hawks:

• Biden's expected Defense Secretary Michele Flournoy opined this past June that the US military needs a new arms race to obtain "the capability to credibly threaten to sink all of China's military vessels, submarines, and merchant ships in the South China Sea within 72 hours".

• Biden's choice for Secretary of State Tony Blinken plans on undermining Beijing's Belt and Road Initiative, reportedly wants to "tame" and "try to coalesce skeptical international partners into a new competition with" China, and said that the Biden administration will "fully enforce" the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, "including sanctions on officials, financial institutions, companies and individuals." Earlier this month The Economist reported that Republican China hawks would be happy with a Secretary of State nomination for Blinken.

• Biden's choice for National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan was described by Forbes this past June as a "Peter Navarro-like China hawk" who believes that Beijing is “gearing up to contest America’s global leadership” and that those signs are “unmistakable, and they are ubiquitous.”

It's not hard to see where people of a certain ideological bent are getting the impression that Biden is going to be a sycophantic Beijing lackey, though, with influential rightist voices pounding that message into their skulls all day every day despite all evidence to the contrary. Just today within hours of this writing you've got Republican congressman Dan Crenshaw tweeting that "Biden‘s plan is to let radicals destroy our economy, with little if any benefit for the environment, and huge benefits for China," right-wing pundit Paul Joseph Watson labeling the murderous war whore Blinken a "compromised SIMP for China", and bloodthirsty psychopath Tom Cotton proclaiming on no basis whatsoever that Biden is "surrounding himself with panda huggers who will only reinforce his instincts to go soft on China."

"Panda huggers." This is a sitting member of the US Senate.

This complete schizm from reality, where you've got an incoming administration stacked with Beltway insiders who want to attack Chinese interests running alongside an alternate imaginary universe in which Biden is a subservient CCP lackey, is only made possible with the existence of media echo chambers. It's the same exact dynamic that made it possible for liberals to spend four years shrieking conspiracy theories about the executive branch of the US government being run by a literal Russian agent even as Trump advanced mountains of world-threatening cold war escalations against Moscow in the real world.

You see this dynamic at work in conventional media, where plutocrat-controlled outlets like Breitbart are still frantically pushing the Russiagate sequel narrative that Hunter Biden's activities in China mean that his father is a CCP asset. You also see it in social media, where, as explained by journalist Jonathan Cook in an article about the documentary The Social Dilemma, "as we get herded into our echo chambers of self-reinforcing information, we lose more and more sense of the real world and of each other."

"We live in different information universes, chosen for us by algorithms whose only criterion is how to maximise our attention for advertisers’ products to generate greater profits for the internet giants," writes Cook.

Because people are a lot more likely to click, read and share information which validates their pre-existing opinions and follow people who do the same, social media is notorious for the way it creates tightly insulated echo chambers which masturbate our confirmation bias and hide any information which might cause us cognitive dissonance by contradicting it. Whole media careers were built on this phenomenon during the years of Russiagate hysteria, and we see it play out in spheres from imperialism to Covid-19 commentary to economic policy.

Someone benefits from this dynamic, and it isn't you. As we've discussed previously, we know from WikiLeaks documents that powerful people actively seek to build ideological echo chambers for the purpose of propaganda and indoctrination, and there is surely a lot more study going into the subject than we've seen been shown. Splitting the public up into two oppositional factions who barely interact and can't even communicate with each other because they don't share a common reality keeps the populace impotent, ignorant, and powerless to stop the unfolding of the agendas of the powerful.

You should not be afraid of your government being too nice to China. What you should worry about is the US-centralized power alliance advancing a multifront new cold war conducted simultaneously against two nuclear-armed nations for the first time ever in human history. There are far, far too many small moving parts in such a cold war for things to happen in a safely predictable manner, which means there are far, far too many chances for something to go very, very wrong.

Whenever someone tells you that a US president is going to be "soft" on a nation the US government has marked as an enemy, you are being played. Aways, always, always, always. It's just people manipulating you away from your natural, healthy inclination toward peace. Get out of your echo chamber, look at the raw information instead of the narratives, and stop letting the sociopaths manipulate you.
