Grote internetplatformen als Facebook en Twitter weren in de VS anti-oorlog boodschappen en berichten, voorts worden giften geblokkeerd.....

Ja ik weet het, eigenlijk niets nieuws dat de grote internetbedrijven als Twitter, Instagram en Facebook kritiek van hun platformen weren, kritiek als die op de huidige westerse neoliberale status quo en daarmee ook commentaar op de illegale oorlogen van de VS in het Midden-Oosten.....

Het lijkt erop dat er een nieuwe illegale oorlog van de VS voor de deur staat (de VS is de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde) en dat zorgt blijkbaar voor nog heftiger censuur, die niet thuishoort in een democratie maar in een dictatuur..... Al kan je de VS onmogelijk nog een democratie noemen, immers men probeert met man en macht een fiks aantal mensen hun stemrecht te ontnemen, dan wel tegen te werken dat men een stem uit kan brengen..... Dan is er nog de herindeling van districten die roet in de democratische soep gooit, trouwens de enorme kapitalen die worden uitgegeven aan deze verkiezingen, dit door grote bedrijven*, plus de giften van de super welgestelden, geven al aan voor wie de komende regering de belangen zal behartigen......

Eén van de slachtoffers is The Grayzone die berichtte over het verwijderen van accounts in Iran, Syrië en Venezuela, niet alleen dat ook giften aan dit alternative nieuwsmedium werden en worden geblokkeerd (zo meer daarover).....

Overigens is het bij ons niet veel beter, we zitten in het westen dan ook met z'n allen in een inhumane en ijskoude neoliberale maatschappij, waar geld voor alles gaat (Geld über alles!)...... Een neoliberale staus quo waar westerse regeringen samen met de financiele sector, het IMF, de Wereldbank, het militair-industrieel complex, oliemaatschappijen en multinationale bedrijven bedrijven, de reguliere westerse media en de grote internetplatforms (waarover ik zo even sprak), de dienst uitmaken (niet te vergeten natiuurlijk de 'gewone grote bedrijven' zonder buitenlandse vestiging)...... Het e.e.a. wordt in de meeste gevallen zelfs aangestuurd door de geheime diensten, de NAVO en gesteund door griezelclubs en 'denktanks' als respectievelijk de Bilderbergconferentie, de Atlantic Counsil en het Haags Centrum voor Strategische Studies (HCSS), waar de laatste 2 ook nog eens lobbyclubs zijn voor: het militair-industrieel complex,de agressieve buitenlandpolitiek van de VS en de volgzame andere NAVO-partners...... 

In feite maken alle aangeduide bedrijven zich schuldig aan machtmisbruik en nogmaals dat hoort thuis in een dictatuur, zo ging het onder Hitler tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog prima
met veel West-Europese bedrijven, neem de Nederlandse bunkerbouwers als Zwolsman en Amsterdamse Ballast Maatschppij, het huidige Ballast Nedam.....

Oorlog betekent nu eenmaal poen en aangezien de grote internetreuzen en massamedia in handen zijn van plutocraten of investeringsgroepen met ongezond veel geld, moeten die oorlogen worden gesteund in die media..... Goed voor de aandelen in het militair-industrieel complex en de oliemaatschappijen, om over de aandelen in particuliere, paramilitaire huurlingenlegers nog maar te zwijgen..... 

Het ergst val al is wel dat Trump volmondig in het openbaar heeft verklaard dat de VS aan oorlogen moet verdienen, niets nieuws, immers dat doet de VS al heel lang (maar dan min of meer stiekem), neem alleen al de bedrijven uit de VS die de wederopbouw doen van een door de VS, in één van haar illegale oorlogen, aan stukken gebombardeerd land.... Dat oliemaatschappijen profiteren van zo'n oorlog is niet alleen omdat de prijzen van brandstoffen de lucht inschieten als terreurentiteit VS weer een oorlog start, maar ook door het verkrijgen van rechten voor olie of gaswinning in zo'n land........ (dubbele winst over de rug van duizenden vermoorde burgers, de teller van het aantal van deze vermoorde brugers staat voor de VS deze eeuw al op meer dan 2,5 miljoen!! Al hebben andere NAVO-lidstaten, als Nederland meegedaan aan deze grootschalige terreur....)

(TMU) — Instagram and its parent company Facebook are removing posts that appear to be in support of the late Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani in order to comply with U.S. sanctions, a company spokesperson recently told CNN.

“We operate under U.S. sanctions laws, including those related to the U.S. government’s designation of the IRGC and its leadership,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

The Iranian government has responded by calling for legal action against Instagram, going so far as to create a portal for the users to submit posts that have been removed by the social media giant. Iran’s government spokesperson, Ali Rabiei called the move “undemocratic.”

Unlike Facebook and Twitter, Instagram is not blocked in Iran. Despite this, Twitter’s position on the matter is that as long as users abide by its rules the social media platform will not seek to remove posts. That being said, independent news outlet the Grayzone reported that Twitter suspended dozens of accounts run by people in Venezuela, Syria, and Iran—including Iran’s supreme leader—during the first two weeks of January.

Instagram removed Soleimani’s own account last April shortly after the U.S. government designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization. Less publicized is the recent decision by Iran’s parliament to designate all U.S. forces as “terrorists” following the assassination of Soleimani.

The pressure on social media companies to give effect to U.S. sanctions has also led to the removal of posts by Instagram which were posted by outspoken critics of the IRGC, including human rights advocate Emadeddin Baghi. Unsurprisingly, the International Federation of Journalists released a statement declaring Instagram’s actions as going “against global standard principles including freedom of speech and media.”

However, Instagram and Facebook are not the only companies cracking down on speech that could be construed as supporting Soleimani. According to the Grayzone’s Ben Norton, a French reader attempted to donate $10 to the independent media outlet, writing “I am making this donation to The Grayzone for the sake of free speech and balanced reporting, particularly in regard to recent events in Iraq and Iran.” PayPal then froze the payment as it did with many others.

Around the same time, Facebook also censored a Grayzone video which sought to report on Hezbollah, Iran, and U.S. president Donald Trump.

According to CNN Business, Google did not comment on its policy on this issue when contacted. However, YouTube—owned by Google—has also allegedly removed all PressTV videos with the exception of PressTV Francais. PressTV is funded by the Iranian government and has been targeted by both Google and YouTube in the past. A brief search by the Mind Unleashed at the time of writing was unable to locate an official PressTV YouTube channel, confirming the assertion that it has been removed.

As the Grayzone notes in its reports, Silicon Valley Tech companies have for some time been partnering up with shadowy think-tanks, helping to assist the U.S. government in its apparent bid to control the boundaries of free speech and political dissent. In 2018, 
Facebook and Twitter jointly shut down a range of antiwar and anti-corruption pages under the guise of fighting spam accounts.

Donald Trump’s recent warning to Iran not to shut down its Internet makes little sense in the context of what has been described above. According to the U.S. government, Iranians should not be restricted in their usage of the internet—but only if that usage advances the agenda of the U.S. foreign policy establishment.

Twee Palestijnse kinderen komen om door brand >> Israëlische militairen blokkeerden brandweer

Het zoveelste staaltje beestachtige wreedheid van het Israëlische leger en zoals zo vaak op de illegaal door Israël bezette West Bank....... In het oude centrum van Hebron raakte een huis in brand, waarin zich nog twee kinderen bevonden...... De brandweer werd de doorgang ontzegt door militairen bij een wegversperring, waardoor 1 van de jongetjes 's nachts overleed en de andere de volgende morgen in het ziekenhuis...... Een derde broertje ligt in het ziekenhuis op de intensive care met brandwonden.......

Israëlische militairen bij de wegversperring werd gesmeekt de brandweerwagen snel doorgang te verlenen, juist vanwege de kinderen.... Tevergeefs.....

Beste bezoeker is het niet om doodziek van te worden?? Als je dacht dat dit wel niet veel zal voorkomen, helaas: sinds 2015 heeft het Israëlisch psychopatenleger 123 keer ambulances gestopt...... Dat was het nog niet beste bezoeker: 386 keer zijn teams van de Rode Halvemaan aangevallen door kolonisten en Israelsiche militairen op de (nogmaals) illegaal door Israël bezette gebieden van de West Bank....... Voorts zijn in diezelfde periode 105 ambulances vernield, dan wel beschadigd.......

Afgelopen december schoten Israëlische psychopaten een kind neer in vluchtelingenkamp Al-Jalazun, waarna ze een toegesnelde ambulance verjaagden, pas een kwartier later werd een ambulance toegelaten, onderweg naar het ziekenhuis overleed het kind.......

Hoe kan de wereld dit aan blijven zien, zonder in te grijpen en dat al dik meer dan 70 jaar.......

Tot slot: ziek, als je bij nazoeken van zaken op een pro-Israëlische site komt genaamd 'Israellycool', waar men bijvoorbeeld stelt dat er aanvankelijk werd gemeld dat de twee kinderen in de brand waren omgekomen, terwijl later bleek dat de ander 'pas' de volgende morgen in het ziekenhuis is overleden en vanwege dat feit de hele zaak afdoen als anti-Israëlische propaganda........ Misselijk makend..... Hier de link naar de site, waarop tevens reclame voor PayPal en P patron wordt gemaakt (via deze betaaldiensten kan je geld overmaken naar deze fascistische psychopaten website....)....

Two Palestinian Children Killed in Blaze After Israel Blocks Fire Brigade

(MEMO) — Two Palestinian children have been killed in a blaze at their home in occupied Hebron after the Israeli authorities prevented the fire brigade from reaching them in time.

The two children – one of whom is believed to have been just 18-months old – were burned to death in a fire at their home in the Al-Salaymeh neighbourhood of Hebron’s Old City in the occupied West Bank. One was reported dead late last night, while the second succumbed to the burns received this morning after receiving emergency treatment at the nearby Hebron government hospital. A third child, thought to be the dead children’s brother, also suffered severe burns in the incident and remains in intensive care, according to hospital Director Dr Walid Zalloum.

The names of the three children have not been released formally, but Palestinian news site Palestine Today named the two who were killed as four-year-old Wael Al-Rajabi and his 18-month-old sister Malik. The local police spokesman, Colonel Loai Arziqat, confirmed in a press statement that two children had died, but did not offer further information.

Though the emergency services were called, the fire brigade was prevented from reaching the scene by Israeli soldiers. In a video filmed last night at 21:50 local time (19:50 GMT), the fire engine can be seen trying to drive down a narrow street. The truck comes to a stop at a road block obstructing the way, while local residents implore the Israeli soldiers stationed there to “open the gate quickly, for the children.”

The Israeli soldiers, however, did not yield to the onlookers’ pleas, delaying the emergency services’ response and preventing them from reaching the property. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

Israel is no stranger to restricting emergency services’ access to Palestinians in need. According to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society, since 2015 Israel has prevented ambulances from crossing checkpoints on 123 occasions. In addition, there were 386 attacks against Red Crescent teams across the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) during the same period, as well as 105 ambulances damaged.

In December, Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian child then prevented him from receiving potentially life-saving medical treatment; he died soon thereafter. Seventeen-year-old Mahmoud Nakhle was shot as Israeli forces suppressed protests around Al-Jalazun refugee camp near Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank. A few minutes later, the soldiers chased off a Palestinian ambulance, threatening the driver with their rifles and not giving Nakhle first aid themselves.

Only after a quarter of an hour did the soldiers allow an ambulance to be summoned, but Nakhle died en route to hospital.

Under international law, as the occupying power Israel is forbidden from preventing access to medical care and emergency services to the people living under its occupation. According to the Fourth Geneva Convention, “The occupying power must ensure sufficient hygiene and public health standards, as well as the provision of food and medical care to the population under occupation.” In addition, “Personnel of the International Red Crescent Movement must be allowed to carry out their humanitarian activities.”

Israel, however, continues to breach this and other articles of international laws and conventions with impunity.
