Frans Timmermans (PvdA Europese Commissie) van zins nog meer gif tegen consumenten toe te staan in de EU

Verontrustend, het laatste bericht dat ik gisteren ontving van WeMove Europe. Hierin aandacht voor gif dat in allerlei producten is verwerkt die we om ons heen hebben..... Denk bijvoorbeeld aan brandvertragers in bankstellen, vloerbedekking en matrassen en zaken om plastics* buigbaar te maken en houden, niet zelden ook in speelgoed verwerkt.... Bij deze weekmakers moet je denken aan stoffen als dioxine en bisfenol A (BPA), de genoemde chemische stoffen zijn zonder meer kankerverwekkend.....

Nu blijkt dat de enorme PvdA aansteller Frans Timmermans, topgraaier en vicevoorzitter van de Europese Commissie van zins is om i.p.v. verboden op een aantal van dit soort giftige stoffen uit te breiden, er nog nog meer toe te laten.......

Vergeet niet dat alle gifstoffen die we binnenkrijgen zich stapelen in ons lichaam, daarmee wordt ook onze weerstand verzwakt tegen besmettelijke ziekten als COVID-19, dus i.p.v. meer gifstoffen toe te staan, wordt het de hoogste tijd dat gifstoffen niet alleen worden verboden in onze levensmiddelen, maar ook in gebruiksvoorwerpen die we dagelijks of regelmatig gebruiken!! Gif is niets anders dan een aanslag op je leven en hoe meer gestapelde gifstoffen in je lichaam hoe groter de kans dat je van een virus als COVID-19 flink ziek kan worden of zelfs kan overlijden, zeker als je een andere redelijk ernstige (chronische) kwaal onder de leden hebt.....

Timmermans heeft het wel voor elkaar gekregen dat velen geloven dat hij seriues luistert naar de bevolking en dat zijn bedoelingen goed zijn, juist n.a.v. zijn aanstellerij in de aanloop naar de verkiezingen voor een nieuwe voorzitter van de Europese Commissie, waar hij als een puber rondrende en zich voordeed als de meest bewuste milieugoeroe van de EU, terwijl zijn verleden in veel gevallen het tegenovergestelde laat zien........ (het probeerde zich zelfs voor te doen als de manlijke Greta Thunberg** ) Ook We Move Europe denkt dat hij zal luisteren, ik wens ze een prettige wedstrijd, maar Timmermans is van het kaliber regent en eenmaal op een functie, of het nu is als minister, staatssecretaris, of zoals nu vicevoorzitter van de Europese Commissie, heeft hij schijt aan wat men van hem vindt en 'laat hij zijn jas waaien naar de belangen' van het grote bedrijfsleven..... (en houdt daarbij de bestaande neoliberale status quo in stand....)

Overigens is de Europese Commissie ook verantwoordelijk voor het langer toestaan van het kankerverwekkende glyfosaat (verwerkt in Roundup) in de EU, een ordinaire corruptie zaak, waar de machtige giflobby van Bayer, Syngenta en anderen de niet democratisch gekozen bestuurders van de EU in de zak hebben.... Zelfs GroenLinks hufter Bas Eickhout, ook al een EU grofgraaier, tekende voor langer toestaan van Roundup in de EU........

Reden genoeg om de petitie van WeMove Europe te tekenen, laat de mislukte PvdA sierkwast Timmermans weten dat we hem in de gaten houden en teken ajb! (oh ja, nog het volgende: in de 'noten' bij het schrijven van WeMove zitten dom genoeg geen directe links dus even 'copy paste' ofwel 'kopiëren en plakken' gebruiken)

Say no to A toxic Europe

Think of your living room sofa. There’s a good chance that it's been coated in toxic chemicals to prevent large fires. But what happens in case of a fire? You are more likely to be injured or even killed by inhaling toxic smoke from the chemicals than by the flames themselves. [1] Harmful chemicals are used everywhere, including toys, building materials, and much more. We’re literally all exposed to them. [2]

And now, leaked documents prove that rather than protecting our health and the environment, the EU is considering allowing even more toxins in our everyday products! [3] These new plans are going to be finalised and presented in less than a month, but we still have a fighting chance. Here’s how:
Frans Timmermans, the EU Commission Executive Vice-President, is the person responsible for the new plans. He’s shown time and time again that he’s responsive to citizens’ voices, and it’s clear that he’s a true believer in making Europe truly more sustainable.

But corporations never stop their lobbying, and they see an opportunity to get the Commission to rubber-stamp more toxins. In the end, Timmermans has the power and authority to shape the legislation to protect people and the environment. But if we expect him to fight for us, then we need to show him that we’re behind him.

Say NO to a toxic Europe

There’s scientific evidence that furniture made from tightly woven natural fabrics is not more likely to catch fire than furniture treated with flame retardants, and produces far less toxic gas. [4] But using toxic flame retardants is cheaper for big business, and the EU is letting them do it.

The Commission isn’t expecting people like you and me to be following this news on toxic chemicals too closely -- because they know that things like COVID-19 and the recovery plan are in our minds instead. So, if we do raise our voices, we’re sure we’ll be heard.

All the more, Timmermans needs us to have his back. He has a declaration of support from the European Parliament [5] so he is not completely alone. But a popular voice from all corners of Europe can be a game changer. If at least 100,000 of us make our voices heard to Timmermans, he’ll have the perfect justification to push back against the lobbyists and champion our call.

Demand a toxic-free Europe!

Since our community was founded, we’ve run dozens of petitions towards key Commissioners, including Frans Timmermans. When we ran a campaign for ambitious legislation on plastics, Timmermans met us to receive our signatures and pledged to be our “ally”. In the end, we won! [6]

If we all raise our voices together, we’ll be so much louder than the industries that are lobbying against our health and environment -- please join us.
