Israel oefent walgelijk geweld uit als het verkrachten van Palestijnse gevangenen, waaronder kinderen van beide geslachten, vrouwen en mannen, zelfs met gebruikmaking van honden.... Walgelijk geweld als het Israelische leger dat met een tank over mensen heen rijdt, zo circuleerde er een paar jaar geleden een video op YouTube waarin was te zien hoe een tank over een aan handen en voeten geboeide Palestijnen reed, die staande was opgesteld voor die tank van het Israëlische leger (YT heeft een groot deel van dat soort video's gecensureerd en zelfs een opgeslagen video van die walgelijke moord met een tank op mijn computer werkt niet meer...).... Vorig jaar kwamen getuigenverklaringen naar buiten dat een Israëlische tank een jongen van 12 in tweeën had gereden....

First, it was Israel’s right to defend itself. Then it was a war, even though, by Israel’s own military intelligence database, 83 percent of the casualties were civilians. The 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, living under an Israeli air, land and sea blockade, have no army, air force, no mechanized units, no tanks, no navy, no missiles, no heavy artillery, no fleets of killer drones, no sophisticated tracking systems to map all movements, or an ally like the United States, which has given Israel at least $21.7 billion in military aid since Oct. 7, 2023.
Now, it is a “ceasefire.” Except of course, as usual, Israel only abided by the first of the 20 stipulations. It freed around 2,000 Palestinian captives held in Israeli prisons — 1700 of whom were detained after Oct. 7 — as well as around 300 bodies of Palestinians, in exchange for the return of the 20 remaining Israeli captives.
Israel has violated every other condition. It has tossed the agreement — brokered by the Trump administration without Palestinian participation — into the bonfire with all the other agreements and peace accords concerning Palestinians. Israel’s extensive and blatant flouting of international agreements and international law — Israel and its allies refuse to abide by three sets of legally binding orders by the International Cout of Justice (ICJ) and two ICJ advisory opinions, as well as the Genocide Convention and international humanitarian law — presage a world where the law is whatever the most militarily advanced countries say it is.
The sham peace plan — “President Donald J. Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” — in an act of stunning betrayal of the Palestinian people, was endorsed by most of the U.N. Security Council in November, with China and Russia abstaining. Member states washed their hands of Gaza and turned their backs on the genocide.
The adoption of resolution 2803 (2025), as the Middle East scholar Norman Finkelstein writes, “was simultaneously a revelation of moral insolvency and a declaration of war against Gaza. By proclaiming international law null and void, the Security Council proclaimed itself null and void. Vis-à-vis Gaza, the Council transmuted into a criminal conspiracy.”
The next phase is supposed to see Hamas surrender its weapons and Israel withdraw from Gaza. But these two steps will never happen. Hamas — along with other Palestinian factions — reject the Security Council resolution. They say they will disarm only when the occupation ends and a Palestinian state is created. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that if Hamas does not disarm, it will be done “the hard way.”

The “Board of Peace,” headed by Trump, will ostensibly govern Gaza along with armed mercenaries from the Israel-allied International Stabilization Force, although no country seems anxious to commit their troops. Trump promises a Gaza Riviera that will function as a “special economic zone” — a territory operating outside of state law governed entirely by private investors, such as the Peter Thiel-backed charter city in Honduras. This will be achieved through the “voluntary” relocation of Palestinians — with those fortunate enough to own land offered digital tokens in exchange. Trump declares that the U.S. “will take over the Gaza Strip” and “own it.” It is a return to the rule of viceroys — though apparently not the odious Tony Blair. Palestinians, in one of the most laughable points in the plan, will be “deradicalized” by their new colonial masters.
But these fantasies will never come to fruition. Israel knows what it wants to do in Gaza and it knows no nation will intercede. Palestinians will struggle to survive in primitive and dehumanizing conditions. They will, as they have so many times in the past, be betrayed.
Israel has committed 738 violations of the ceasefire agreement between Oct. 10 and Dec. 12, including 358 land and air bombardments, the killing of at least 383 Palestinians and the injuring of 1,002 others, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza and the Palestinian Health Ministry. That’s an average of six Palestinians killed daily in Gaza — down from an average of 250 a day before the “ceasefire.” Israel said it killed a senior Hamas commander, Raed Saad, on Saturday, in a missile strike on a car on Gaza’s coastal road. Three others were also apparently killed in the strike.

The genocide is not over. Yes, the pace has slowed. But the intent remains unchanged. It is slow motion killing. The daily numbers of dead and wounded — with increasing numbers falling sick and dying from the cold and rain — are not in the hundreds but the dozens.
December saw an average of 140 aid trucks allowed into Gaza each day — instead of the promised 600 — to keep Palestinians on the edge of famine and ensure widespread malnutrition. In October, some 9,300 children in Gaza under five were diagnosed with severe acute malnutrition, according to UNICEF. Israel has opened the border crossing into Egypt at Rafah, but only for Palestinians leaving Gaza. It is not open for those who want to return to Gaza, as stipulated in the agreement. Israel has seized some 58 percent of Gaza and is steadily moving its demarcation line — known as “the yellow line” — to expand its occupation. Palestinians who cross this arbitrary line — which constantly shifts and is poorly marked when it is marked at all — are shot dead or blown up — even if they are children.
Palestinians are being crammed into a shrinking, fetid, overcrowded concentration camp until they can be deported. Ninety-two percent of Gaza’s residential buildings have been damaged or destroyed and around 81 percent of all structures are damaged, according to UN estimates. The Strip, only 25 miles long and seven-and-a-half miles wide, has been reduced to 61 million tons of rubble, including nine million tons of hazardous waste that includes asbestos, industrial waste, and heavy metals, in addition to unexploded ordnance and an estimated 10,000 decaying corpses. There is almost no clean water, electricity or sewage treatment. Israel blocks shipments of construction supplies, including cement and steel, shelter materials, water infrastructure and fuel, so nothing can be rebuilt.
Eighty-two percent of Israeli Jews support the ethnic cleansing of the entire population of Gaza and 47 percent support killing all civilians in cities captured by the Israeli military. Fifty-nine percent support doing the same to Palestinian citizens of Israel. Seventy-nine percent of Israeli Jews say they are “not so troubled” or “not troubled at all” by reports of famine and suffering among the population in Gaza, according to a survey conducted in July. The words “Erase Gaza” appeared more than 18,000 times in Hebrew-language Facebook posts in 2024 alone, according to a new report on hate speech and incitement against Palestinians.
The newest form of genocidal celebration in Israel — where social media and news channels routinely chortle over the suffering of Palestinians — is the sprouting of golden nooses on the lapels of members of the far-right political party Otzma Yehudit, Israel’s version of the Ku Klux Klan, including one worn by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

They are pushing a bill through the Knesset which seeks to mandate the death penalty for Palestinians who “intentionally or indifferently causes the death of an Israeli citizen,” if they are said to be motivated by “racism or hostility toward a public,” and with the purpose of harming the Israeli state or “the rebirth of the Jewish people in its land,” the Israeli human rights group Adalah explains. More than 100 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli jails since Oct. 7. If the new bill becomes law — it has been cleared through its first reading — it will join the wave of more than 30 anti-Palestinian laws enacted since October 7.
The message the genocide sends to the rest of the world, more than a billion of whom live on less than a dollar a day, is unequivocable: We have everything and if you try and take it away from us, we will kill you.
This is the new world order. It will look like Gaza. Concentration camps. Starvation. Obliteration of infrastructure and civil society. Mass killing. Wholesale surveillance. Executions. Torture, including the beatings, electrocutions, waterboarding, rape, public humiliation, deprivation of food and denial of medical care routinely used on Palestinians in Israeli prisons. Epidemics. Disease. Mass graves where corpses are bulldozed into unmarked pits and where bodies, as in Gaza, are dug up and torn apart by packs of ravenous wild dogs.
We are not destined for the Shangri-La sold to a gullible public by fatuous academics such as Stephen Pinker. We are destined for extinction. Not only individual extinction — which our consumer society furiously attempts to hide by peddling the fantasy of eternal youth — but wholesale extinction as temperatures rise to make the globe uninhabitable. If you think the human species will respond rationally to the ecocide, you are woefully out of touch with human nature. You need to study Gaza. And history.
If you live in the Global North, you will get to peer out at the horror, but slowly this horror, as the climate breaks down, will migrate home, turning most of us into Palestinians. Given our complicity in the genocide, it is what we deserve.
Empires, when they feel threatened, always embrace the instrument of genocide. Ask the victims of the Spanish conquistadors. Ask Native Americans. Ask the Herero and Nama. Ask the Armenians. Ask the survivors of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Ask the Indians who survived the Bengal famine or the Kikuyu who rose against their British colonizers in Kenya. Climate refugees will get their turn.
This is not the end of the nightmare. It is the beginning.

Sir Mark Rowley, your primary concern is not public safety but protecting the interests of the British establishment. And it has decreed that no opposition to Israel’s genocide will be tolerated
Dear Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley,
I heard on the BBC News last night that you are planning to “take a more assertive approach to the way [you] police pro-Palestinian protests” in the wake of the Bondi Beach terror attack.
I wondered what this might mean, given that you and other forces have already arrested thousands of entirely peaceful pro-Palestinian protesters – many of them elderly, a number or them disabled or infirm – for holding a placard opposing the Gaza genocide.
Journalists have been detained by your counter-terrorism squad for writing, too critically it seems, about Israel’s slaughter of children in Gaza.
Prominent Jewish activists like Haim Bresheeth and Tony Greenstein are being investigated or prosecuted on terrorism offences, for publicly echoing the International Criminal Court and major human rights groups in accusing Israel of committing crimes against humanity.
What more are you planning? Tarring and featherings. Hangings in the public square. Let us hope not.
The BBC says that, following the attack in Sydney, you will arrest anyone using slogans like “Globalise the intifada”. Last night your force arrested two people at an anti-genocide protest outside David Lammy’s ministry of justice building for using what you apparently term “racially aggravated” speech.
Mr Lammy must be delighted by your intervention. After all, he doesn’t want the British public being reminded that, in his previous role as Foreign Secretary, he endlessly justified Israel’s genocide in Gaza and even warmly shook hands with Benjamin Netanyahu, a suspected war criminal and fugitive from international justice.
In a statement you issued with the chief constable of Manchester, you wrote: “The words and chants used, especially in protests, matter and have real-world consequences.”
Yes, isn’t that precisely the point? Alerting the public to Britain’s two-year complicity in genocide is exactly why protesters use these slogans – and to shame the British government. You’re right: that does matter!
Is it because the government fears these “real-world consequences” that you are acting ever more harshly to choke off the last remnants of the right to protest on Palestine?
‘No active investigation’
Strangely, though, Sir Mark, the Met does not seem to be interested in applying your principle equally. Not all words have consequences, as far as your force is concerned. Nor do all actions.
For example, a legal dossier was submitted to the Met in April concerning at least 10 British citizens who have served in Israel’s genocidal army in Gaza. They are documented to have participated in the Israeli military’s killing and maiming many hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, most of them women and children.
And yet there has been not a peep about it from the Met since. A spokesperson for your counter-terror officers would only say there was “no active investigation” on the matter.
Words don’t seem to matter much either, as long as you’re supporting Israel’s genocide.
Britain’s Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis has incited war crimes by praising as “heroes” Israeli soldiers in Gaza – whom he mistakenly describes as “our soldiers”.
He has given religious blessing to what the ICC suspects are crimes against humanity, including Israel’s mass starvation of Gaza’s people. He calls these crimes the “most outstanding possible thing a decent, responsible country can do”.
Is the Chief Rabbi going to be arrested?
It seems not. Quite the opposite, in fact. By all accounts, he has your ear, Sir Mark. He is the one who has been demanding that you arrest anti-genocide marchers who call to “Globalise the intifada”.
Indeed, it has become ever less clear what, if anything, we are allowed to say in solidarity with the Palestinian people as they face a slow extermination by Israel.
Last year the world’s highest court, the International Court of Justice, ruled that Israel was not only illegally occupying and colonising the historic lands of the Palestinian people but that its rule over them amounted to apartheid.
The court demanded Israel immediately end its illegal occupation and withdraw its soldiers and militia-settlers from these Palestinian lands. No one really believes Israel is going to respect the court, any more than it has respected international law over the past many decades.
Which is precisely why the anti-genocide marchers chant: “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
Because Palestinians are living in their entire historic homeland – from the River Jordan to the Mediterranean Sea – under Israel’s apartheid rule. And as all major human rights groups have noted, including Israel’s B’Tselem, not one of those Palestinians enjoys a fraction of the rights Israel confers on Jews living in the same area.
“From the river to the sea” is an anti-apartheid chant. It is a call for liberation from the oppression experienced by all Palestinians. It is a recognition that freedom – and equal rights – can only come from Israel’s decolonisation and the eradication of its Jewish supremacist ideology.
Anti-Palestinian racism
None of that matters, it seems.
It is yet another chant Mirvis and Israel’s apologists want banned. Politicians from both sides of the aisle demand the same. Reports are that you are now considering treating it as an arrestable offence – hate speech – like “Globalise the intifada”.
But you, Sir Mark, have no understanding of what either of these pro-Palestinian slogans mean. And no interest. Why? Because you, like our political leaders and our media editors, are imbued with an anti-Palestinian racism. You are soaked in the same feverish loyalty to British colonialism as the rest of the establishment. It is your entry card to that depraved club.
Let me try to educate you, to get you to listen through the hands clasped to your ears.
“Intifada” means “shaking off” in Arabic. It translates as uprising. It can take the form of non-violent civil disobedience, as it has repeatedly in Palestinian history, or it can be militarised and violent, as it was against British colonial rule of Palestine in the 1930s and as it was against Israel’s violent occupation in the 2000s.

But in the late 1980s, the Palestinians’ defining intifada involved general strikes, street demonstrations, boycotts of Israeli goods, and a refusal to pay taxes to the Israeli occupier.
Again, in 2018, the people of Gaza launched mass non-violent protests against their imprisonment in the enclave and a decade-long, suffocating Israeli siege. Israel responded by maiming tens of thousands of the demonstrators.
Those calling for a “globalised intifada” are echoing these latter kinds of acts of civil disobedience. Chiefly they are pushing for worldwide, peaceful solidarity with the Palestinians by hitting Israel in the pocket, through the international boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement.
Israel’s supporters have long been desperate to close down the BDS movement by defining it as “economic terror”. Now you, Sir Mark, are once again giving them exactly what they want.
Note this too. The Bondi Beach attack should not be treated as any kind of “context”, as you put it, for your decision.
All the evidence is that the two gunmen were loyal to Islamic State (ISIS). But Islamic State has always despised the Palestinian struggle for national liberation, including the armed resistance of Hamas.
There is a good reason for that – though I notice you, along with British politicians and media, never mention it.
Islamic State wants to revive the “caliphate” – a Muslim empire in the Middle East that existed before the arrival of modern nation-states.
A Palestinian state – the goal of all Palestinian resistance movements, secular and religious alike – is anathema to the zealots of Islamic State. Hamas and Islamic State have directly opposing and irreconcilable goals. Which is why Hamas has always limited its military actions to the region it is in, and never sought to “globalise” its military resistance.
So there is precisely no evidence that any Palestinians, even Hamas, wish to wage a violent struggle in Europe, the US or Australia with their calls to “Globalise the intifada”. Their physical fight is confined to their homeland, even if we, in Britain and the West, continue to export our meddling to their region by aiding Israel in brutalising the Palestinian people.
Democratic death spiral
Let me make a final point, Sir Mark. There will be more terror attacks on Jews in the West. However unjustified, however depraved, that is inevitable when a state claiming to represent Jews – and aided and abetted by western powers – keeps killing, maiming, jailing, torturing and humiliating peoples across the Middle East.
Such attacks won’t even necessarily come from an organised group, such as Islamic State or al-Qaeda. There will always be someone somewhere watching Israel kill and disfigure Muslim, Christian and Druze children – and see western capitals defend its right to do so – who will be so horrified and sickened by the spectacle that they will decide to improvise a form of vengeance.
And with Israel and every western politician telling them that there is no difference between the state of Israel and the Jewish people – that the two are identical – there will always be someone somewhere who decides to take out their fury on an easy Jewish target rather than a much harder Israeli military one.
However indefensible, there is nothing inexplicable about this.
Which means, given Israel’s criminality, the terror attacks will keep coming.
Which, in turn, means that there will keep being reasons for Israel and its apologists like Mirvis to demand that basic freedoms in the West be curtailed – that speech and protest on Palestine be criminalised – to ensure the safety of Jews.
However much you deny Palestinians and their supporters the right to march and chant against genocide and British collusion in it, the terror attacks will continue. Which means the erosion of basic rights will continue too. We are in a democratic death spiral – and all to protect Israel’s genocide from public opposition.
I suspect you know all this. And I also suspect you don’t care. Because your primary job is not public order or public safety but protecting the interests of the British establishment. And that establishment has decreed that Israel’s genocide has the UK’s full backing, and that no opposition will be tolerated.
The Palestinians will continue to be killed. And with your connivance, our most fundamental rights will continue to vanish before our very eyes.

Once again, the New York Times sells Israel's genocide in Gaza as law enforcement
Israel is expelling 37 aid groups – a likely death sentence for 100,000s of Palestinians. But the Times speaks only of 'new rules' in Gaza, and 'suspensions' for those who 'resist registration'
This is another masterclass from the New York Times in how to sell genocide as law enforcement.
According to today’s headline, “new Israeli rules” mean “suspensions” of aid groups from Gaza – that is, the forced expulsion of 37 humanitarian organisations from Palestinian territory illegally occupied by Israel.
These aid groups organise most of the field hospitals currently operating in Gaza and set up after Israel destroyed the enclave’s proper hospitals. The groups also run emergency shelters, water and sanitation services, and treatment centres for children with acute malnutrition.
Israel’s “registration rules” are a death sentence for a homeless, destitute Palestinian population left vulnerable to starvation, floods, winter cold and disease by Israel’s two-year destruction of their homeland.

Who is to blame? Apparently groups like Doctors Without Borders, Medical Aid for Palestinians and CARE. Why? Because they are “resisting” Israel’s “rules” to “provide detailed information” on their staff in Gaza – information Israel has used time and again to kill those aid workers.
As Doctors Without Borders point out, “we support one in five hospital beds and one in three births” in Gaza. Israel, it added, was “cutting off life-saving medical assistance for hundreds of thousands of people".
Another organisation affected by the new “rules”, the Norwegian Refugee Council, noted that Israel had killed hundreds of aid workers in the past two years. “For us, it is a safety concern for our staff. And acknowledging who they are – it puts them at risk.”
The New York Times wants you to forget who is the criminal here.
It is Israel that’s illegally occupying Gaza and other Palestinian territories – and has been for decades.
It is Israel that has bombed Gaza into the Stone Age.
It is Israel that has ethnically cleansed Gaza’s people from their lands, driving them into ever smaller concentration camps on those ruins, surrounded by Israel’s “yellow line”.
It is Israel that has starved the people of Gaza for months on end by blocking all aid.
It is Israel that’s killed at least 600 aid workers, 1,700 medical staff and 250 journalists in Gaza over the past two years.
It is Israel that has eradicated all Gaza’s hospitals and health care facilities, leaving its maimed and starved population vulnerable to infection and disease.
And it is Israel now expelling aid organisations vital to keep this homeless, bombed, maimed, starved, orphaned, traumatised population alive.
Criminals don’t get to set the “rules” – because the rules they set will, by definition, serve their criminal agenda.
Israel has not hidden that agenda. It wants to eradicate Gaza and its population. It has destroyed the people of Gaza’s homes and the infrastructure they need to survive – from hospitals and schools to sanitation services. It has blocked aid and food, and is now driving out the emergency aid organisations that served as a sticking plaster to keep this population just barely alive.
Israel’s goal is to make life so desperate, so impossible, that the rest of the world will consent to the expulsion of the Palestinian people from Gaza on “humanitarian” grounds.
The New York Times, like the rest of the media, are using language to persuade you that none of this is happening.
Before the crimes were justified as a “war” – one to eradicate Hamas.
Now, during a supposed ceasefire in which Israel keeps killing Palestinians, it is a new, different way of ordering affairs in Gaza, again supposedly needed to root out Hamas. The aid organisations are apparently the ones causing difficulties by “resisting”, by flouting the “rules”.
This is the language of genocide laundering, of genocide denial. It has a long and ugly history.
The Nazis and their media termed the rounding up of Jewish populations from the ghettoes they had been forced into as “evacuations”. Those sent to death camps were “resettled”. And the gas chambers were where “detainees” received “special treatment”.
This terminology of good administration – of rules, of order, of suspensions, of resettlement – is needed to numb us to the barbarous reality of the horrors unfolding minute by minute in Gaza. To echo this anaesthetising language, as the New York Times does time and again, is more than just a crime against journalism. It is a crime against our common humanity.
Without the assistance of media like the New York Times, the genocide would have been simply impossible.

– Attacks on journalists. ‘Genocide documentation’ is carried out by Palestinian journalists and they and their families are targeted. Silencing these journalists is instrumental to the concealment of the genocide and more journalists have been killed than in any other conflict.
– Torture, sexual violence, disappearances, gender-based violence in detention, at checkpoints, in house searches, in displacement and elsewhere.
– Politicide is the targeted assassination and kidnapping of political and cultural leaders, representatives, activists, and destruction of civic institutions.
The Jury finds a coherent and consistent pattern of exterminatory violence in the intentional and targeted destruction of homes, water supplies, schools, hospitals, clinics, universities, cultural and religious institutions, agricultural land, and natural ecosystems. The weaponization of hunger, denial of medical care, and forced displacement are not collateral damages of war—they are instruments of collective punishment of the entire population and of genocide. Since October 2023, the number of Palestinians held in Israeli facilities has doubled to over 10,000, and the testimonies coming out of these centers describe a level of depravity that is difficult to process.
The report documents at least 94 deaths in custody as of late 2025. But it’s the details of the "living" conditions that show the true nature of the policy.
One of the most gruesome patterns is the use of organized sexual violence. Tamer Qarmut, a 41-year-old father of five, testified that during his time at Sde Teiman, he was raped with a wooden stick by soldiers who then forced him to lick the object afterward. Another released prisoner, described guards sitting on his head and back while a third guard repeatedly forced an object into his anus six times. He recalled the soldiers laughing and jeering while they poured an unknown liquid over him during the assault.
Several detainees, described being stripped naked and having dogs set on them. These dogs were directed to attack the prisoners' genitals, causing injuries so severe they required urgent surgery. In some cases, the internal bleeding from these attacks was left untreated, leading to permanent damage or death.
Medical neglect is central to this system. Jibril al-Safadi, a diabetic father of six, arrived at Sde Teiman and began experiencing excruciating pain in his feet. After days of being shackled and blindfolded, he woke up in a pool of his own blood. He was eventually taken to a prison hospital where he underwent seven operations, but because of the intentional delay in care and the constant shackling of his wounded limbs, his condition became terminal. He was handed a document and forced to sign it, choosing between death or the amputation of both his legs.
In March 2025, a 17-year-old Palestinian, Ahmad Walid, died in Megiddo Prison from starvation and medical neglect. His body is still being withheld.
Then there is the "disco room." Muhammad Abu Tawilah described being taken to a room where he was denied water for six days, given only a bottle cap’s worth of liquid a day. He was forced to sit on a metal "shock-chair" while loudspeakers played Hebrew songs at an unbearable volume until his eardrums ruptured and he bled from his ears.
The report also documents the complete isolation of detainees. Family visits suspended, Red Cross denied access, Lawyers blocked, monitored, or banned.
When you read these accounts alongside the official directives from the Ministry of National Security to "minimize" food and calories, the picture becomes crystal clear. These are not a series of rogue soldiers losing control. It is a state-managed system designed to use starvation, sexual assault, and medical neglect as a tool to break the soul and spirit.
