'Hooggerechtshof' Israël keurt vermoorden van ongewapende Palestijnen goed.......

Het Israëlische hooggerechtshof heeft in een zaak, aangespannen door 2 mensenrechtenorganisaties, geoordeeld dat het vermoorden door scherpschutters van ongewapende Palestijnse demonstranten, op gebied behorend tot die Palestijnen, is geoorloofd......

Deze uitspraak gaat volkomen in tegen internationaal recht, waar deze moorden worden beoordeeld als oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid....... In feite zeggen de rechters van dit hof dat Palestijnen NB in eigen gebied geen recht hebben op de vrijheid van meningsuiting en keuren ze daarbij ook nog eens het schieten (vermoorden) met scherp op Palestijnen die gebruik maken van dit recht goed, ook al gebeurt dit moorden vanuit Israël NB (en nogmaals) over de grens met de Gazastrook.......

Je snapt dat deze uitspraak door een hof van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël elke regel van de internationale rechtspraak tart en het heeft dan ook helemaal niets meer met gerechtigheid, moraliteit of justitie in het algemeen te maken, sterker nog je zou kunnen stellen dat de rechters van dit hof lak hebben aan mensenrechten, het oorlogsrecht en zoals gezegd het internationaal recht........

Het Israëlisch hooggerechtshof heeft zich met deze uitspraak bijna op gelijke voet geplaatst met de 'rechtspraak' zoals die plaatsvond in nazi-Duitsland en door nazi-Duitsland in door hen bezette gebieden tijdens WOII........

Ach, de rechters in Israël vinden het ook normaal om kinderen, vaak zonder enige vorm van proces op te sluiten in militaire gevangenissen, waar ze ook nog eens geestelijk en/of fysiek worden gemarteld........ 

         

Intussen heeft Israël de watertoevoer naar de Gazastrook gestopt, ronduit een flagrante schending van mensenrechten en een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid..... Ach daar malen de reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici niet om......

(MEE) — Israel’s Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously dismissed a petition by two human rights groups that accused Israel’s military of violating the law by using snipers and live ammunition against peaceful Palestinian protesters in Gaza.

Defence Minister Avigdor Liberman praised the ruling on Twitter: “The High Court of Justice unanimously rejected the petitions of the pestering left-wing Zionist organisations against the IDF’s strong and steadfast stance against the enemy in Gaza.

“It is time for you to understand that while you are trying to strengthen our enemy, the IDF is also protecting you,” Liberman said, referring to Israel’s military.

Adalah and Al Mezan petitioned the Israeli Supreme Court on 17 May to order the Israeli army to stop using snipers and live ammunition in the Gaza Strip.

The petition called out Israel for using “excessive force” and said that its “open-fire policy is illegal”.

“The military informed the supreme court that it shoots people in Gaza who are allegedly ‘leading inciters or breachers of order’; they did not claim that the people shot were armed or that they posed an immediate threat to the lives of others,” it read.

“This is a violation of international law, amounting to willful killing and injury, and constituting war crimes under Article 8 of the Rome Statute,” the petition said.

Major protests took place across the Palestinian territories last Wednesday as the United States transferred its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

Smaller protests took place last Thursday, the 70th anniversary of the Nakba, or “catastrophe,” when hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forced into exile as Israel was created in 1948.

More than 60 Palestinians were killed along the Gaza border over two days, and a teen who died on Wednesday was the first killed in West Bank protests. More than 2,770 others were injured, including 225 children and 86 women.

The casualties raised the death toll since 30 March, the day when the six-week Gaza “Great March of Return” began, to 119.

The Israeli army insists its actions are necessary to defend the border and prevent mass infiltrations. Still, rights groups said many people who were killed were nowhere near the fence that Israel had erected on Palestinian territory in Gaza.

Palestinians had at various times agreed to having the eastern part of Jerusalem as their capital.

The US embassy move led the Palestinian leadership to cut ties with US President Donald Trump’s administration.

Canadese arts neergeschoten door 'heldhaftige' Israëlische sluipschutter.....

Om nog eens aan te tonen dat de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël ernst is bij het schieten op ongewapende demonstranten (waar men zelfs op kinderen schiet...), werden de Canadees/Palestijnse arts Tarek Loubani en de Palestijnse verpleger Musa Abuhassanin afgelopen maandag neergeschoten door een Israëlische sluipschutter, terwijl beiden duidelijk herkenbaar waren als medisch hulpverlener vanwege hun kleding............ 

Loubani en Abuhassanin waren met een medisch team in de buurt van de Israëlisch / Palestijnse grens om hulp te kunnen verlenen aan mensen die lafhartig en zonder meer zwaar misdadig (oorlogsmisdaad) worden neergeschoten door Israëlische sluipschutters. Dat Israël opnieuw ongewapende demonstranten met scherp zou beschieten, was van tevoren al duidelijk gemaakt door het psychopathische Israëlische bewind, alle reden voor hulpverleners zich in de buurt op te houden, om zo snel mogelijk hulp te kunnen verlenen.

Loubani kende de gevaren aan de grens met Israël en hield zich dan ook op gepaste afstand van deze grens en zo de psychopaten die ongewapende Palestijnen neerschieten, niet een motief te geven om op hem en zijn collega's te schieten..... In totaal zijn er afgelopen maandag 18 medische hulpverleners gewond geraakt door Israëlisch geweervuur...... Musa Abuhassanin overleed op weg naar het ziekenhuis......

Gezien het enorme aantal slachtoffers dat alleen afgelopen maandag al viel, nu 62 doden (vermoord...) en 2.700 gewonden, is het juist zaak voor deze hulpverleners niet te worden uitgeschakeld door de fascistische Israëlische overheid.....

Volgens de Israëlische premier en Palestijnenslachter Netanyahu, plus de ministers en psychopaten Lieberman en Erdan is Hamas de schuldige aan het grote aantal doden en het enorme aantal gewonden (waaronder vele zwaargewonden)....... Alsof Hamas op de eigen, ten einde raad zijnde bevolking heeft geschoten..... 

De laatste, Gilad Erdan, minister van 'strategische zaken', durfde de Palestijnen zelfs met nazi's te vergelijken..... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Je bent vertegenwoordiger van een fascistisch bewind dat schijt heeft aan mensenrechten, een bewind dat lak heeft aan VN resoluties, een regering die een apartheidsbewind voert, een bewind dat de ene na de andere oorlogsmisdaad begaat, bloedbaden aanricht onder een weerloze bevolking, kortom alle kenmerken van een fascistisch bewind en dan nog durven zeggen dat de Palestijnse slachtoffers nazi's zijn...... Hoe gek moet je zijn??!!!

Canadian doctor shot by Israeli sniper near Gaza border

A Canadian-Palestinian doctor was shot in the legs by an Israeli sniper and one of his paramedics was killed on the Gaza border Monday as clashes between Palestinian protesters and Israeli Defence Forces left dozens dead and more than 1,000 wounded.

Dr. Tarek Loubani, an emergency physician from London, Ont., who is also an associate professor at the University of Western Ontario’s medical school, joined medical teams on the Gaza border Monday to care for Palestinians who might be injured in demonstrations against the inauguration of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

Dr. Loubani, who has served as an emergency field doctor in Tanzania and conflict zones such as Iraq and southern Lebanon, said he was wearing a green surgeon’s outfit and standing with several orange-vested paramedics about 25 metres from the protests at the border when he was hit.

“I am very seasoned about not being shot at. I know where to stand. I know where to be. I know how not to get shot,” he told The Globe and Mail in a telephone interview from Gaza where he recuperating. “Snipers don’t reach me because of mistakes. I did everything right. We were all huddled. We were high visibility. It was quiet at the exact moment I got shot. The bullet went through my left leg, through my right leg out and hit the ground.

Had he been closer to the border area, Dr. Loubani, 37, said he believes it would have “cost me my legs.” The leg wounds will require months of rehabilitation but he said he feels “incredibly lucky.”

Dr. Loubani, who is part of a medical team funded by the South African-based Shuttleworth Foundation that is field testing 3D-printed medical tourniquets, was helped by Palestinian paramedics on the scene, including 36-year old Musa Abuhassanin.

“I remember looking at my shoes and I remember thinking, ‘My god, how did so much blood get there so fast’,” he said. “One of them grabbed one of the last tourniquets. We were down to our last 10 tourniquets. I said ‘No, no leave it for someone else. Try to pressure bandage me.’ ’’

About an hour later, Mr. Abuhassanin was shot by a sniper while providing medical help to protesters north of where Dr. Loubani was shot. “There was relatively heavy fire that was going on. He was wearing a high visibility jacket. It was clearly marked. He was shot in the chest,” Dr. Loubani said. “They couldn’t remove him. They couldn’t recover him for about 30 minutes until finally they dragged him to a blind spot and then dragged him down a hill and took him to the hospital in a civilian vehicle. He died before he got to the hospital.”

Dr. Loubani said the paramedics are well trained but they did not know how to treat a serious chest wound. He said he feels guilty because he is confident he could have saved his friend’s life if he had not been wounded.

Eighteen paramedics were wounded that day but Mr. Abuhassanin was the only one killed by Israeli forces.

              

Dr. Loubani stressed he did not want the story to be about him but about the lack of medical services in poverty-ridden Gaza.

“This is not a political issue. This is about Palestinians as people and their right to health care. No matter where they are, even at protests,” he said. “It is about us as Canadians being in places where people need medical care and providing it to them and not having to be worried about being shot or hurt or killed because we are doing what we all agree everyone deserves.”

Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland’s office strongly condemned the Israeli action.

“We are very concerned that Canadian doctor and humanitarian worker Tarek Loubani was shot yesterday in Gaza,” press secretary Adam Austen said in a statement.

“It is appalling and inexcusable that civilians, members of the media, first responders, and children have been among the victims.”

Mr. Austen said Canadian consular officials were in touch with Dr. Loubani’s family. His brother, Mohammed, said the officials said they would help Dr. Loubani exit Gaza through Israel.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did not mention Dr. Loubani but told reporters in Edmonton on Tuesday that his thoughts are with the “victims of the terrible violence” in Gaza. Asked about the inauguration of the U.S. embassy, Mr. Trudeau said such “unilateral actions are unhelpful.”

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh tweeted that he was “outraged” that Dr. Loubani had been shot by an Israeli sniper while providing medical services.

The Israeli embassy in Ottawa said the shooting of Dr. Loubani would be turned over to an Israeli Defence Forces fact-finding team.

Amnesty International said it appears that the Israeli military were killing and maiming demonstrators who posed no imminent threat to them.

“This is another horrific example of the Israeli military using excessive force and live ammunition in a totally deplorable way,” said Philip Luther, research and advocacy director for the Middle East and North Africa at Amnesty International . “This is a violation of international standards, in some instances committing what appear to be willful killings constituting war crimes.”

Human Rights Watch said the high number of deaths and injuries was the foreseeable consequence of granting Israeli soldiers leeway to use lethal force outside of life-threatening situations in violation of international norms.

Even if some Palestinians were rock-throwing, this did not warrant the use of excessive force, Human Rights Watch said.

“Israeli soldiers were not merely using excessive force, but were apparently acting on orders that all but ensured a bloody military response to the Palestinian demonstrations,” said Eric Goldstein, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch. “The result was foreseeable deaths and injuries of demonstrators on the other side of a border who posed no imminent threat to life.”

Amnesty International called on the international community to stop the shipment of arms and military equipment to Israel.

In 2013, Dr. Loubani and Toronto filmmaker John Greyson spent 53 days in an Egyptian jail without being charged with any offence. They were arrested because Dr. Loubani had treated a severely wounded man during protests at Cario’s Ramses Square. At the time, the two men were on their way to Gaza, where Dr. Loubani regularly travels to to teach emergency medicine at al-Shifa hospital.

De Palestijnse Great Return March die begon bij de 'Land Day' op 30 maart jl. en die zal eindigen bij herdenking van al-Nakba op 15 mei a.s., heeft tot nu toe aan 45 mensen (inclusief 2 journalisten die duidelijk herkenbaar aan het werk waren) het leven gekost, daarnaast werden 7.200 mensen gewond (waaronder veel zwaargewonden) door geweervuur van 'heldhaftige' Israëlische sluipschutters..... Kortom het zoveelste bloedbad van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël.......

De Palestijnen moet het leven blijvend onmogelijk gemaakt worden en wel zo lang tot ze ten einde raad besluiten te vertrekken van hun geboortegrond, waar hun families al honderden jaren hebben gewoond..... Ofwel: Israël is bezig met een vertraagde etnische zuivering.......

Gaza – Palestine’s Great Return March protests at the Gaza border, which commenced with the commemoration of Land Day on March 30 and are set to continue until the Nakba anniversary on May 15, have propelled Israel’s penchant for killing Palestinians to the fore. So far, 45 Palestinians have been killed by snipers and over 7,200 injured while demonstrating at the border for their right to return as enshrined in UN Resolution 194.

As the launch of the protests drew near, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that over 100 snipers would be placed at Gaza’s border. The rhetoric used was an attempt to distort the Return March, which is about rights, into a security concern for Israel, and thus legitimize, according to Israeli parameters, the killing of unarmed Palestinians.

Framed against the Great Return March protests at the Gaza border, Israel’s Minister of Transport, Road Safety and Intelligence, Israel Katz, warned that targeted killings of Hamas leaders would be renewed if attacks are launched against army commanders at the border.

No soldiers were harmed at the border. Rather than an empty threat, Katz’s statement reads as a veiled indication of premeditated aggression.

A day later, on Saturday April 21, 35-year-old Palestinian scientist and Hamas member Fadi Mohammed al-Batsh* was gunned down by two assassins in the vicinity of his home while on his way to dawn prayers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Whether the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad was behind the targeted assassination was neither confirmed nor denied by Israel.

Last week, Haaretz reported that the assassins entered Malaysia by using fake Serbia and Montenegro passports. It is also speculated that both assassins absconded to Thailand.

In response to al-Batsh’s assassination, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman attempted to downplay Mossad’s role, stating:

There’s a tradition at this point among terrorist organizations of blaming Israel for every settling of accounts.”

Israeli media, however, promoted the narrative of the colonial state’s policy of targeted assassinations and indicated the possible involvement of Mossad, linking al-Batsh’s assassination to his scientific research by citing a co-authored paper titled “Challenges of Integrating Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in Civil Application”. Five days after the assassination, the Jerusalem Post ran an article titled “The Mossad’s Greatest Hits: From Eichmann to al-Batsh.” About al-Batsh, the article stated that the modus operandi “may fit into the Tunisia operation pattern of assassinations of weapons engineers who are threats to Israel and without leaving a trace.”

The reference to Tunisia concerned the assassination of aeronautical engineer Muhammad al-Zawari, who was killed in Sfax in December 2016 outside his home. According to Hamas, Al-Zawari was part of the resistance movement  and specialized in drone development. A report by Al Jazeera had also stated that al-Zawari had developed the drones used by Hamas in 2014 during Israel’s Operation Protective Edge.

In al-Zawari’s case, the identified suspects are of Bosnian nationality. During a press conference organized by Hamas in Beirut, the movement claimed the targeted assassination was the work of “Mossad agents carrying Bosnian passports.” Tunisia is reported to be in discussions with Bosnia to extradite the suspect, who was arrested in Croatia in March 2018. The suspect is currently detained under extradition custody in Croatia, and Bosnia is seeking to impede his extradition.

A recently published book by Ronen Bergman, titled Rise and Kill First: the secret history of Israel’s targeted assassinations, reveals that over 2,700 operations carried out by Israel since its inception have been classified as targeted assassinations. 

An ambiguous ruling by Israel’s High Court

In December 2005, Israel’s High Court upheld the “right” of the state to resort to targeted assassinations, in response to a petition submitted in 2002 by the Public Committee against Torture in Israel and the Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment, which argued that the practice was illegal and violated international law. The petition was submitted within the context of the Second Intifada, when Israel embarked upon a series of targeted assassinations of Hamas leaders.

The concluding remarks of the court judgment ensured that Israel was allowed to speculate and given the freedom to determine whether or not a targeted assassination would be permissible:

It is decided that it cannot be determined in advance that every targeted killing is prohibited according to customary international law, just as it cannot be determined in advance that every targeted killing is permissible according to customary international law.”

Israel enjoys further impunity in this regard based on the fact that there is no standard definition of targeted assassinations in international law. 

A history of targeted assassinations

Many targeted assassinations of Palestinian leaders have been attributed to Mossad. On July 8, 1972, Mossad assassinated Ghassan Kanafani, a Palestinian writer and political leader from the Popular Front of the Liberation of Palestine, by a car bomb in Beirut. His 17-year-old niece, Lamis, also died in the explosion.

Mossad is also said to be behind several assassinations of Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) members. In what was dubbed as “Operation Spring of Youth” in 1973 in Beirut, Mossad raided the flats of three PLO members — Muhammad Yousef al-Najjar, Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser — and gunned them down. Adwan’s head was severed from the body as a result of around 60 bullets fired into his neck.

On October 26, 1995, Islamic Jihad founder Fathi Shqaqi was killed by two assailants in front of the Diplomat Hotel in Sliema, Malta. Shqaqi was shot five times at point blank range.

In 1997, Mossad poisoned former Hamas leader Khaled Mesha’al in Jordan. A diplomatic intervention by King Hussein saved his life as Mossad turned over the antidote.

Since the Second Intifada, Israel’s targeted assassinations of Palestinian leaders have shifted towards Hamas. Salah Shehadeh, leader of Al-Qassam Brigades, was killed on July 23, 2002 in Gaza City, when the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) dropped a one-ton bomb onto his house. Fifteen people were killed in the attack.

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was murdered upon exiting a mosque on March 22, 2004. Missiles were fired from an Apache helicopter, killing him and seven other bystanders.

Mossad is also said to have been behind the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, one of the founders of al-Qassam Brigades, on January 20, 2010, in Dubai. Tests on blood samples confirmed he was electrocuted.

On November 14, 2012, Ahmed Jabari, second in command of Hamas’s military wing, was killed by a drone strike on his car in Omar Mukhtar Street.

Changing history by scarring society

In an interview with the Times of Israel, Bergman states:

I want to say, that from the very beginning of the state, Israeli leaders thought that secret operations and assassinations far beyond enemy lines were a useful tool to change history, or to do something to reality, without resorting to all-out war.”

The statement is revelatory on several grounds. Apart from indicating Mossad’s worldwide operations, it also closes in on two main issues which are central to the current context of Israel’s resorting to targeted assassinations. The targeting of individuals who, if allowed to work in anti-colonial struggle, can embark upon building a resistance movement that goes beyond mere resilience, should dispel mainstream depiction of Israel’s aggression on Gaza as “war”. By Israel’s admission and actions, there is no war, but rather a premeditated action against a population by targeting individuals who can contribute to Palestinian security and, as a result, capacity to further their cause and their rights.

Second, changing history and reality, as stated by Bergman, can also be applied to the Gaza context. It is not only the fact that Israel is choosing strategy over diplomacy, as Bergman says within the context of his research. Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza are actively involved in resistance. However, the periodical Israeli assaults upon Gaza, and Hamas’ attempts to defend the enclave, have propelled the movement’s visibility when it comes to armed struggle. The movement also prioritizes education as a revolutionary goal. During Operation Protective Edge in 2014, Israel directly targeted higher educational facilities, prompting UNESCO to release a report documenting the damage done to infrastructure — 14 educational facilities were significantly damaged. In addition, 421 students were murdered during the operation, making up 27.4 percent of Gaza’s death toll.

Eliminating possibilities of Palestinian resistance

To eliminate Palestinian resistance, Israel has made it a point to target segments of Palestinian society, or individuals, that have potential to develop continuous anti-colonial struggle. It is a strategic decision for Israel to focus on the link between education and resistance — hence the high number of students murdered during Operation Protective Edge, the Palestinian youths murdered by snipers at the Great Return March, and the targeted assassination of Palestinian intellectuals and scientists who have the potential to lead a structured and continuous resistance.

Al-Batsh’s assassination can be seen as merely another strike against Hamas — the latest in a series of targeted killings that seek to weaken the movement’s capacity to develop its own potential for defense in its limited circumstances.

Yet it is the limited circumstances that should provoke further insight into al-Batsh’s assassination. Since 2014, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has not ceased calling for Hamas to hand over complete control of Gaza, including relinquishing armed resistance. As this appeal was refused repeatedly by Hamas, Abbas retaliated through sanctions and withholding of financial assistance, piling further hardships upon the entire enclave that is still reeling from the damage and displacement as a result of Operation Protective Edge.

There is no option for Palestinians other than resistance to the collaborative efforts by Israel and the Palestinian Authority to push Gaza into an irreversible deterioration. Al-Batsh’s assassination is part of the former’s plan to reduce the possibilities of resistance for Palestinians. For Abbas, who has ridiculed resistance even when Palestinians were being massacred in 2014, the loss of al-Batsh might trigger other attempts at fostering political disunity among Palestinians. Apart from the political isolation enforced upon Gaza, it is the lack of opportunity to develop its military capabilities further that has derailed resistance. It is clear that Israel will not take any chances of permitting Hamas to alter the current implosion. Its view is that, for Israel to survive, Palestine’s possibilities must be wiped out, whether the means used are targeted assassinations, sniper fire, or precision targeting of a civilian population.

Mahmoud Abbas 'de Palestijnenleider' moet met pijlspoed opkrassen!!

Mahmoud Abbas, de leider-dictator ('president') van de Palestijnse Autoriteit (PA), moet als de sodemieter opzouten! Deze mispunt, die meermaals gemene zaak met de zionistische bezetter heeft gemaakt*, had het gore lef onlangs te zeggen dat de joden de holocaust aan zichzelf te danken hadden, daar ze zich zo asociaal gedroegen..... Waar haalt de kwezel 't vandaan?**

Hiermee doet hufter Abbas de Palestijnse zaak geen goed en dankbaar pakten de fascistische zionisten de zaak op, om de Palestijnen daarvoor te hekelen...... Gisteren heeft Abbas nog wel zijn excuus aangeboden....... Figuren als psychopaten Netanyahu en Lieberman moet je nodig anti-Palestijnse brandstof geven.........

De zoveelste zeperd van Abbas, deze figuur is in feite al lang niet meer de gekozen leider, immers er zijn al in jaren geen verkiezingen meer gehouden en zijn mandaat als president liep al in 2009 af, dit is o.a. ingegeven daar men bang is voor het 'Gaza effect', waar de bevolking massaal op kandidaten van Hamas stemde........

In feite zet hij hiermee het Israëlische beleid voort: het bestaan van de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook zo mogelijk nog meer onleefbaar maken..... Israël heeft de elektriciteitscentrale van openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook gebombardeerd, een enorme oorlogsmisdaad, die zelfs niet werd opgevolgd door actie van de VN Veiligheidsraad....... Abbas had zwaar protest moeten aantekenen tegen die oorlogsmisdaad en moeten eisen van de internationale gemeenschap de elektriciteitsproductie in de Gazastrook weer op te bouwen, i.p.v. afspraken te maken met Israël over levering van stroom aan de Gazastrook, zoals hij wel heeft gedaan........ Als de bewoners in de Gazastrook 2 uur per dag elektriciteit hebben, mogen ze hun handen dichtknijpen........ Het excuus van het westen niets te doen op oorlogsmisdaden van Israël is dat men 'het vredesproces' niet wil verstoren....... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Alsof zo'n oorlogmisdaad van Israël al niet een dikke streep zet door elk overleg met de Palestijnen......
