Dat er veel meer dan 42.000, 44.000 of wat andere bronnen aangeven meer dan 46.000 Palestijnse mensen (vooral veel vrouwen en kinderen) zijn vermoord in de Gazastrook, is geen nieuws voor de oplettende nieuwsvolgers, althans voor hen die de sociale media in de gaten houden. Bij het aantal dode Palestijnen gaat het niet alleen om de direct door barbaars Israëlisch geweld vermoorden, dus middels bombardementen, drones en scherpschutters, maar ook om de indirect vermoorde Palestijnen, het overgrote deel van de directe doden waren gewone burgers, zo zijn er een groot aantal Palestijnse kinderen vermoord door hen in het hoofd te schieten, ofwel hier is sprake van een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad. Indirect vermoord betekent onder meer dat deze mensen zijn omgekomen daar ze onder puin van door Israël gebombardeerde huizen en gebouwen vast kwamen te zitten en niet konden worden bevrijd..... Daarnaast zijn er al de doden daar het Israëlische leger hen voedsel en water heeft onthouden (één van de ergste oorlogsmisdaden), de mensen die omkwamen doordat er geen medische hulp was, daar Israël ziekenhuizen en medische posten heeft platgebombardeerd (alweer een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad), zogenaamd gelegaliseerd doordat deze zouden zijn gebruikt door Hamas, waarvoor niet één steekhoudend bewijs is gegeven.
Eén van de weinige foto's van concentratiekamp en martelcentrum SdeTeiman (ook wel aangeduid als Sede Teman), waar ook de bekende Palestijnse kinderarts dr. Hussam Abu Safiya nog steeds wordt vastgehouden en gemarteld......
Hier moet nog aan worden toegevoegd dat ook andere artsen, verpleegkundigen en ambulancepersoneel op grote schaal zijn vermoord, dan wel zijn gegijzeld in hetzelfde concentratiekamp en martelcentrum SdeTeiman, waar een aantal van hen zelfs zijn doodgemarteld..... Kortom door artsen, verpleegkundigen en ambulancepersoneel te vermoorden of te gijzelen, kunnen zij gewonde Palestijnen niet helpen en zullen veel van het enorme aantal gewonden, in aantal nog veel meer dan de vermoorde Palestijnen, snel dan wel uiteindelijk overlijden, een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad als het al aangehaalde onthouden van voedsel en schoon drinkwater..... Al zullen dergelijke overlijdens inde reguliere westerse media en politiek zogenaamd officieel niet worden toegeschreven aan het barbaars moordende fascistenleger van Israël....(zoals hier verkeersslachtoffers, die meer dan een maand na een ongeluk alsnog overlijden aan hun verwondingen, niet meer worden meegerekend als verkeersdoden)
Zowaar een verslag van de NOS, al hoor je uiteraard het woord genocide niet één keer vallen in deze video..... Schandelijk te horen dat verslaggever Sander van Hoorn spreekt over een gevangenis en een militaire basis, terwijl het hier overduidelijk gaat om een concentratiekamp waar mensen heftig worden gemarteld. Hij laat Tal Steiner aan het woord, lid van een Committee Against Torture, ik neem aan een Joods-israelische organisatie, die doet of een massaverkrachting die uitlekte de enige is die is gebeurd in dit concentratiekamp annex martelcentrum, echter er was eerder al sprake van verkrachtingen in SdeTeiman..... Overigens ook in de rest van de Gazastrook hebben Israëlische militairen vrouwen, meisjes, jongens en mannen verkracht. Steiner stelt dat Israël zich niet moet verlagen tot het niveau van een terreurorganisatie, waarmee ze duidelijk Hamas bedoelt, echter de verhalen dat Hamas gijzelaars zou hebben verkracht en gemarteld zijn smerige leugens, meerdere gegijzelde vrouwen hebben verteld dat ze netjes zijn behandeld door Hamasleden..... Het zijn de leugens al zouden Hamasleden baby's hebben onthoofd..... Al deze leugens zijn allang doorgeprikt, maar men blijft ze herhalen, niet alleen in Israël, maar in bijna de gehele westerse reguliere media en politiek, dit gesteund door zogenaamde deskundigen en maffe rechtse denktanks......
Indirecte moorden ook door uitputting, in dit geval: vooral kleine kinderen, ouderen en anderszins zwakkeren als chronisch zieken, gewonden en invaliden, daar de Palestijnse mensen van hot naar her werden gestuurd door het psychopathisch moordende Israëlische leger, waarbij de vluchtenden regelmatig ook nog eens werden gebombardeerd dan wel beschoten, wat ook geldt voor de plekken waar ze volgens dat beestachtige leger veilig zouden zijn.....
Naast het grote aantal baby's die om het leven zijn gekomen vanwege een tekort aan voedsel, water en erbarmelijke hygiënische omstandigheden, waren en zijn baby's niet veilig voor de Israëlische terreur en zijn er heel wat omgekomen met de ouders die hen vasthielden door geweervuur en/of beschietingen met drones.... Ook zijn er baby's om het leven gekomen daar Israëlische militairen de stroom afsloten van couveuses en zijn er een flink aantal baby's om het leven gekomen door onderkoeling, daar de ouders zelfs geen tent meer hadden, ook die werden vernield door dezelfde psychopathisch moordende zionistische militairen, tentenkampen van gevluchte Palestijnse mensen werden zelfs aangevallen met brandbommen.....
Tijdens de zogenaamde wapenstilstand die van kracht is blijft het Israëlische leger grote aantallen Palestijnse mensen vermoorden*, het zouden er intussen meer dan 90 zijn, al zijn er bronnen die spreken over meer dan 110 door Israël vermoorde Palestijnen....
Al met al is het overduidelijk dat er veel meer Palestijnen zijn vermoord dan 'de officiële cijfers', waar men op de sociale media al meer dan een half jaar geleden stelde dat het er minstens 180.000 moesten zijn...... Nu blijkt uit de woorden van Trumps onderonsje met Netanyahu (waarin deze trompetterende gek stelde dat de Palestijnen moeten vertrekken uit de Gazastrook zodat de VS het kan overnemen en daar een tweede Riviera kan realiseren) dat er nog 1,7 of 1,8 miljoen Palestijnen zijn in de Gazastrook, terwijl het officiële aantal Palestijnen voor de verhevigde genocide die Israël uitvoerde en uitvoert op de Palestijnen, op 2,5 miljoen Palestijnse mensen stond (alsof Netanyahu en Trump dat niet weten...).... Ofwel er zijn 800.000 of 700.000 Palestijnse mensen vermoord door de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël!!
Het volgende Facebook bericht werd gedeeld door Michael O'Neill en gepost door Veritas Semper Vincit waarin deze terecht betoogt dat de genocide van de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël op de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook erop is gericht om de gas- en olievoorraden voor de kust van de Gazastrook geheel in te pikken, daaronder vind je een reactie van Pat Grant met een link naar een artikel waarin hetzelfde wordt getoond. Het is voorts duidelijk dat Trump een deel van deze voorraden wil opeisen voor de VS, vandaar zijn belachelijke voorstel om de Gazastrook onder beheer van de VS te brengen en de Palestijnse bevolking geheel etnisch te zuiveren uit dit gebied....
Gezien al het voorgaande geloof ik er dan ook geen barst van dat de Israëlische geheime diensten en het leger niet hebben geweten dat Hamas op 7 oktober 2023 vanuit de openluchtgevangenis Gazastrook een aanval (een verzetsdaad!!) zou verrichten op 'Israëlisch grondgebied' in de nabijheid van die strook land, die het best is te vergelijken met het getto van Warschau tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog >> WOII.... casually admitting to the disappearance of nearly 800,000

The masks slipped on
Tuesday. In an extraordinary press conference, former President
Trump, flanked by a beaming Benjamin Netanyahu, casually referenced
"a million seven, maybe a million eight" Palestinians
remaining in Gaza. The significance of these numbers, dropped amid
grandiose promises of beachfront development and gleaming towers,
reveals a humanitarian catastrophe of staggering proportions.
Let us be precise: Gaza's
pre-war population was estimated around 2.5 million. Through the
clinical language of demographics and development, Trump and
Netanyahu inadvertently acknowledged the disappearance of roughly
500,000 to 800,000 human beings in mere months. Not since the Rwandan
genocide has the world witnessed such rapid decimation of a civilian
population.
Yet
for months, Western media remained oddly committed to a frozen death
toll of 'around
42,000'
- a number that stopped moving even as the bombs kept falling. While
UN agencies and medical organizations continued updating their
counts, mainstream outlets clung to this outdated figure, as if
acknowledging the true scale would force uncomfortable questions
about complicity. The gap between 42,000 and 800,000 isn't just a
statistical discrepancy - it's the deliberate obscuring of one of
history's fastest mass eliminations happening in real time
The truly chilling aspect
was not just the numbers, but the casual manner of their delivery.
Between discussions of real estate opportunities and vague promises
of regional stability, the two leaders outlined a vision of Gaza
stripped of its indigenous population, reimagined as a playground for
investors and developers. The banality of evil, as Hannah Arendt
observed, often comes dressed in bureaucratic language and economic
projections.
The press corps sat
silent. Markets continued trading. The machinery of state ground
forward. Yet in that moment, through a simple numerical admission, we
witnessed the acknowledgment of one of history's most rapid and
devastating campaigns of population elimination.
This is not ancient
history. This is not a distant atrocity. This is happening now,
funded by American taxpayers, sanctioned by Western governments,
documented in real-time through social media and satellite imagery.
The evidence is not hidden in classified archives or remote killing
fields - it is broadcast in press conferences, wrapped in the
language of reconstruction and development.
The question now facing
us is not what we will tell future generations about what we didn't
know. The question is why the hell are we still failing to stop any
of it?

An entirely mendacious
message lay at the heart of this week’s coverage by the BBC of the
80th Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorations.
The British state
broadcaster asserted throughout the day that the voices of the few
remaining survivors of the Nazi extermination programme were still
being heard “loud and clear” in western capitals. Those survivors
– now in their 80s and 90s – warned that the genocide of a people
must “never again” be allowed to take place.
As if to bolster its
claim, the BBC showed western leaders – from Britain’s King
Charles III, to Germany’s Olaf Scholz and Emmanuel Macron of France
– prominently in attendance at the main ceremony at Auschwitz, the
most notorious of the death camps, where more than a million Jews,
Roma and other stigmatised groups were burned in ovens.
As
a counterpoint, the BBC highlighted the fact that Russian President
Vladimir Putin had been excluded from the ceremony for ordering the
2022 invasion
of Ukraine.
Steve Rosenberg, the
corporation’s Moscow correspondent, underscored the irony that
Russia, so visibly absent, was responsible for liberating Auschwitz
on 27 January 1945 – the date that eventually came to be marked as
Holocaust Remembrance Day.
But hanging over the
proceedings – and the coverage – was a heavy cloud of unreality.
Had those western leaders really heard the message of “never
again”? Had media outlets like the BBC?
There was an unwanted
ghost at the commemorations. In fact, tens of thousands of ghosts.
Those
ghosts included the children shredded by US-supplied bombs;
the children who
slowly suffocated under the rubble of their destroyed homes; the
children whose
bodies were
left to rot, picked apart by feral dogs, because snipers shot at
anyone who tried to retrieve them; the children who starved to
death because they were seen as “human animals”, denied all food
and water; the homeless babies who
froze to death in plunging winter temperatures; and the premature
babies left to die in their incubators after soldiers
invaded hospitals and
cut off the power.
Those ghosts were every
bit as present at the ceremony as the mountains of shoes and
suitcases – separated forever from their owners – lining the
corridors of the Auschwitz museum.
Western leaders were
determined to look back at the crimes of the past, but not to look at
the crimes of the present – crimes they have been so deeply
complicit in perpetrating.
Wasteland
of rubble
The BBC’s News at Ten,
its main evening news programme, dedicated around 20 minutes of its
half-hour schedule to the Auschwitz commemorations, and then
immediately followed the segment – apparently with no sense of
irony – with images from Gaza, now a wasteland of rubble.
Video footage, shot by a
drone from high above, showed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians –
the survivors, if Israel does not restart the slaughter – picking
their way along the coast northwards. They were heading towards the
ruins that had once been their homes, schools, universities,
libraries, mosques, churches and bakeries.
Seen from so far away,
they were reduced to a mass of “human ants”, just as Israel’s
leaders wish them to be seen.
After all, who needs to
protect a people so dehumanised, so demonised? A people whose
resistance to decades of brutal oppression and dispossession is
categorised simply as “terrorism”?
It
was entirely of a piece that US President Donald Trump, who at least
stayed away from the orgy of western hypocrisy at Auschwitz, called
at the weekend for a programme to
“clean out” the destitute, the maimed, the scarred from Gaza –
as if this was just a matter of good hygiene, of eradicating an ants’
nest.
Media like the BBC
reported his comments with faint distaste. But it was precisely the
media’s disengaged treatment of the horrors unfolding in Gaza for
the past 15 months – as if Israel was simply carrying out a routine
counter-terrorism operation, “mowing the lawn” again – that
made the horrors possible.
It
was the media’s refusal to identify those horrors for what they
clearly were – an incipient genocide, recognised by
every major human rights organisation and suspected by
the International
Court of Justice in
a ruling a year ago – that made the slaughter possible.
It was the media’s
embrace of the preposterous narrative that former US President Joe
Biden had “worked tirelessly” to restrain Israel, at the same
time as he shipped to its military the most powerful bombs in
Washington’s armoury, that made the genocide possible.
At least Trump, in his
vulgar transparency, exploded the pretence of decency, making it
impossible to take as good-faith the professions of “never again”
paraded by western leaders.
Ideological
zeal
But the Auschwitz
commemoration also highlighted a much older lie than the West’s
current, self-serving, mendacious claim to have internalised the
central lesson of the Holocaust while assisting a present-day
genocide.
This year’s Holocaust
Remembrance Day starkly exposed the chief beneficiary of that lie:
Israel.
For
decades, Israel has traded on its self-declared status as guardian of
the Holocaust’s memory, and as the Jewish people’s supposed
solitary sanctuary from global antisemitism.
But Israel was never a
real sanctuary for Jews. It was always another ghetto, this one a
self-created fortress state antagonising and oppressing its
neighbours in the oil-rich Middle East.
Israel was never a
bulwark against genocide either. It was the bastard child of genocide
– bitter, traumatised and driven by an ideological zeal to do unto
others what had been done to it.
And Israel was never an
antidote to antisemitism. It was always antisemitism’s junkie,
needing another hit to give it the illusion of purpose and meaning,
to rationalise its crimes to itself and others.
Israel did not learn the
lesson of “never again”. It learned to view the world as a giant
extermination-camp-in-waiting, where no one and nothing could be
trusted; where life was seen as a zero-sum battle for survival; where
wielding the biggest stick eased its fears a little; and peace was
unattainable, so the state of war had to be permanent.
Touting itself as the
realisation of a dream for the Jewish people, Israel offered only a
nightmarish hellscape for the Palestinians it has ruled for nearly
eight decades.
The
nadir of that long process was the 15 months of genocide
in Gaza.
Litany
of tyrants
The remedy to all of this
is not a mirage-like “two-state solution”, which could never be
accommodated by Israel’s dog-eat-dog worldview. Rather, Israel must
be weaned off its addiction to victimhood, its zero-sum logic.
But western politicians
were never in a position to help. Instead, they endlessly armed
Israel and encouraged its most dysfunctional behaviours.
In truth, even in the
aftermath of the horrors of the Second World War, the West never
learned the lesson it so keenly and loudly proclaimed this week at
Auschwitz.
Just
ask the Kikuyu
people of
Kenya, who were castrated, beaten, raped and murdered through the
1950s by British soldiers defending a dying empire from the Mau Mau
uprising. Or the Algerians, colonised and brutalised until the early
1960s by French imperialists clinging on to one of their last
significant colonial outposts.
Ask the Vietnamese, who
were massacred in the service of a Cold War strategy by the US to
bolster its expanding economic empire against the spread of a rival
communism. Or the Iraqis and Libyans, who saw their countries bombed,
and their peoples killed or ethnically cleansed as Washington and its
Nato allies pursued the US military doctrine of “global full
spectrum dominance”.
And those are only a
handful of the post-Holocaust crimes committed directly by western
states.
Even as the West
pretended to bring independence to its former colonies, from the
1950s onwards, it propped up a litany of brutal tyrants and
dictators: Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi of Iran,
Chile’s Augusto Pinochet, Indonesia’s General Suharto, the
leaders of apartheid South Africa, the kings and crown princes of
Saudi Arabia - the list goes on and on.
The brutalities of
western colonialism were veiled by outsourcing the crimes to local
dictators and strongmen.
Glaring
hypocrisy
British Prime Minister
Keir Starmer made an address on Holocaust Remembrance Day that
encapsulated how its message has been not only lost, but entirely
twisted by western politicians.
Pointing
to his country’s plans for
a National Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre, Starmer vowed to
achieve more than just remembrance. “We must also act,” he
said.
And with a hypocrisy so glaring it nearly snuffed out the many dozens
of candles arrayed behind him, he listed the recent genocides the
West failed to stop.
He solemnly intoned: “We
say ‘never again’, but where was ‘never again’ in Cambodia,
Rwanda, Bosnia, Darfur, or in the acts of genocide against the Yazidi
people? And where is ‘never again’ as antisemitism still kills
Jewish people?”
Notice no mention of
Gaza, where the destruction and slaughter has already happened on a
far greater scale than in Bosnia. Starmer, like other western
leaders, not only failed to act to stop the genocide in Gaza, but he
had already forgotten it even while its survivors were on our
screens, destitute and maimed, returning to the wreckage of their
homes.
Starmer
wants Holocaust education to
become “a
national endeavour”. But British children don’t need to hear
about events 80 years or more ago to learn about genocide. They
watched it unfold day after day, week after week, month after month
on their phones.
And they watched Starmer
and his counterparts across Europe not only do nothing to stop it,
but actively assist Israel in committing those crimes. Children will
not learn more about the dangerous world they live in from Auschwitz

But there is another
lesson that young people – those not brainwashed by a lifetime of
exposure to BBC news – might have understood from the
commemorations at Auschwitz: that the message from Holocaust
survivors of “never again” has been hijacked by western leaders
to a quite different, cynical end.
The Holocaust has been
turned into a shield that, rather than protecting others from
becoming victims of genocide, is used to protect those in the West
who wish to perpetrate it.
Over the years, the
Holocaust has become the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card for
Israel – and for western leaders who can invoke it as cover for
their support for Israeli criminality.
It
was no surprise that, in rationalising its genocide in Gaza, Israel
first spread wholly false stories that Hamas had baked babies
alive in
ovens,
evoking the crematoria of Auschwitz. Or that Israeli soldiers, high
on their conviction that they belong to an eternally victimised
master race, repeatedly used vehicles to
carve giant
Stars of David onto Palestinian lands in Gaza.
It
is no surprise that Israeli popular culture has so dehumanised
Palestinians that report after
report finds those imprisoned by Israel face systematic torture,
sexual abuse and rape. Or that Israeli soldiers regard Palestinians
as so vermin-like that, as western doctors who have volunteered in
Gaza keep warning,
Israeli snipers and drones appear to be shooting Gaza’s
children for sport.
The truth is that the
primary lesson of the Holocaust, like the reality of antisemitism,
has been weaponised. It has been hollowed out of its true message –
the message from the survivors – so that it can be cynically
repurposed to justify the very crimes it should serve as a warning
against.
We cannot unsee what has
taken place in Gaza over the past 15 months. Holocaust Remembrance
Day didn’t succeed in shifting our attention back 80 years, as
western leaders hoped it would. Rather, it brought the present into
much sharper focus.

Terug naar de Gazastrook: meer dan 28.000 vermoorde Palestijnen, terwijl er nog vele duizenden onder het puin liggen, ook dood, want waar bij een aardbeving de hele wereldgemeenschap hulp stuurt voor het zoeken naar slachtoffers onder het puin, heeft zeker de westerse wereld schijt aan de Palestijnen die onder het puin liggen, mede daardoor stond de teller een maand geleden al op meer dan 7.000 Palestijnen die onder het puin liggen, ofwel het aantal door terreurstaat Israël vermoorde Palestijnen bedraagt zeker 35.000 en waarschijnlijk veel meer dan dat.......

Gezien het voorgaande is het dan ook een grote schande dat westerse 'journalisten' de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël niet massaal aan de paal nagelen voor het opzettelijk vermoorden van hun collega's..... Ach we hebben dit al veel vaker gezien in zowel de Gazastrook als op de West Bank (Westelijke Jordaanoever), waar alleen Shireen Abu Akleh nog enige beroering veroorzaakte in de reguliere westerse pers.....
Om nog eens aan te geven hoe afhankelijk en totaal verstoken van elke objectiviteit staatszender BBC World Service Radio bericht een paar voorbeelden: afgelopen woensdagmiddag in het 13.00 u. (onze tijd ofwel CET) nieuws van deze zender het bericht dat vier mensen omkwamen 'door een raketaanval van Rusland op een flatgebouw in Kiev'. Met veel drama gebracht uiteraard, tegelijkertijd waren er in de Gazastrook die dag al meer dan 50 doden door Israëlische terreur te betreuren, maar daarover werd met geen woord gesproken......
Een uur later in het nieuws van BBC W.S. Radio een meer uitgebreid bericht over die aanval van Rusland. BBC correspondent Sarah Rainsford, zij had de burgemeester van Kiev voor de microfoon en deze vertelde wat er echt was gebeurd (let wel een heel domme fout van deze totaal subjectieve nepjournalist om die burgemeester aan het woord te laten) >> volgens de burgemeester was er een raket uit de lucht gehaald boven bewoond gebied en waren de brokstukken van die raket ingeslagen in het betreffende flatgebouw.....
Het voorgaande, dus raketten en drones uit de lucht halen boven bewoond gebied, is iets wat overigens telkens weer gebeurd: het Oekraïense nazi-leger heeft dan ook lak aan burgerdoden als het raketten en drones neerhaalt..... Daarnaast heeft dat leger, ook in het recente verleden, meermaals false flag operaties uitgevoerd waarbij de door hen gemaakte moorden in de schoenen van Russische militairen worden geschoven, iets wat de westerse reguliere media maar al te graag als feiten bestempelen, zonder daarvoor ook maar enig bewijs te hebben gezien >> tja, het is niet anders >> Rusland zal en moet worden gedemoniseerd!! (en de waarheid dan Azijnpisser? Ach daar maalt geen ziel om in het westen!!)
Na die burgemeester heeft Rainsford haar best gedaan om elke keer weer te stellen dat Rusland met opzet burgerdoelen aanvalt....... Moet je nagaan >> de BBC is één van de grote pleitbezorgers voor censuur op de sociale media vanwege fake news (nepnieuws) en desinformatie..... Terwijl het hier gaat om zaken die deze staatszender zelf al zo vaak heeft gebracht, dat het tellen van het aantal gevallen van fake news en desinformatie een schier onmogelijke zaak is, daarbij gaat het om fake news en desinformatie die alleen deze eeuw al werden gebracht op die zender.... Nogmaals: moet je nagaan......
Hoorde afgelopen week dat de Britse premier Sunak met een grote bek sprak over landen waar journalisten hun leven niet zeker zijn, terwijl deze schoft volkomen lak heeft aan de journalisten die door Israël zijn vermoord. Voorts zijn Groot-Brittannië (GB) en hijzelf verantwoordelijk voor het nu al bijna 4 jaar lang opgesloten houden van de gelauwerde onderzoeksjournalist Julian Assange en dat NB alleen voor het openbaren van grove oorlogsmisdaden begaan door de VS!!
Het meest smerige is wel dat de Britse overheid en de rechterlijke macht zo door en door verrot zijn dat ze niet alleen een onschuldige gevangenhouden, maar Julian al die tijd ook nog eens in eenzame opsluiting houden en dat beste lezer is een dergelijk zware marteling dat men spreekt van isolatiefolter, een marteling die mensen letterlijk en figuurlijk kapot maakt, zowel geestelijk als lichamelijk.... Het is bovendien een ernstige schending van mensenrechten en een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid!!! Verder is Sunak mede hoofdverantwoordelijk voor het vervolgen van freelance journalist Graham William Phillips (hier een link naar zijn Instagram pagina), die niet volgens de geldende anti-Russische propaganda regels berichtte uit Oost-Oekraïne, de man wordt niet alleen strafrechtelijk vervolgd, maar verder zijn zijn bankrekeningen geblokkeerd voor gebruik en mag hij GB niet verlaten, zijn paspoort is hem afgenomen......

Editor’s notes: The list below is CPJ’s most recent and preliminary account of journalist deaths in the war. Our database will not include all of these casualties until we have completed further investigations into the circumstances surrounding them. For more information, read our FAQ.
The
Israel-Gaza war has taken a severe toll on journalists since Hamas
launched its unprecedented attack against
Israel on October 7 and Israel declared
war on
the militant Palestinian group, launching strikes on the blockaded
Gaza Strip.
CPJ
is investigating all reports of journalists and media workers killed,
injured, or missing in the war, which has led to the deadliest
period for journalists since CPJ began gathering data in 1992.
As
of February 8, 2024, CPJ’s preliminary investigations showed at
least 85 journalists and media workers were among the more than
28,000 killed since the war began on October 7—with more
than 27,000
Palestinian deathsin
Gaza and the West Bank and 1,200
deaths in
Israel.
The
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Reuters and Agence France Press news
agencies in October that it could not guarantee the safety of their
journalists operating in the Gaza Strip, after they had sought
assurances that their journalists would not be targeted by Israeli
strikes, according to a Reuters report.
Journalists
in Gaza face particularly high risks
as they try to cover the conflict during the Israeli ground
assault,
including devastating Israeli airstrikes, disrupted communications,
supply shortages, and extensive power outages.
As
of February 8:
85 journalists and media
workers were confirmed dead: 78 Palestinian, 4 Israeli, and 3
Lebanese.
CPJ
is also investigating numerous unconfirmed reports of other
journalists being killed, missing, detained, hurt, or threatened, and
of damage to media offices and journalists’ homes.
“CPJ
emphasizes that journalists are civilians doing important work during
times of crisis and must not be targeted by warring parties,” said
Sherif Mansour, CPJ’s Middle East and North Africa program
coordinator. “Journalists across the region are making great
sacrifices to cover this heart-breaking conflict. Those in Gaza, in
particular, have paid, and continue to pay, an unprecedented toll and
face exponential threats. Many have lost colleagues, families, and
media facilities, and have fled seeking safety when there is no safe
haven or exit.”
The
list published here includes names based on information obtained from
CPJ’s sources in the region and media reports. It includes all
journalists* involved in news-gathering activity. It is unclear
whether all of these journalists were covering the conflict at the
time of their deaths, but CPJ has included them in our count as we
investigate their circumstances. The list is being updated on a
regular basis.

Atallah,
a 24-year-old Palestinian editor for the local Al-Resalah news
website and a writer for the regional independent website Raseef22,
was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Beach refugee camp in northern
Gaza City, along with an unidentified number of family members,
according to a tweet by Raseef22 that
included his last voice message, the local news agency Safa,
the Palestinian
Journalists’ Syndicate,
and the International
Federation of Journalists.

Sharrouf, Raseef22’s political editor, told CPJ that Atallah “wrote
for Raseef22 under his name and another pseudonym. He was
particularly interested in the daily life stories of the Gazans,
despite the siege on Gaza, the corruption, and the narrow political
interests in the strip. When the war started, we started
collaborating, and he wrote 3 pieces, but he lived in the north where
there was intense bombing, and one of the Israeli airstrikes hit his
parents’ house, which killed one of his brothers and all of his
family members.”
Sharrouf
told CPJ that “Atallah evacuated after surviving a lot of
near-death situations. In his last correspondence with us, he told me
that he’s safe and he wants to resume working soon, but I later
learned about his death from the news.” Sharrouf added, “Mohammed
was a very professional journalist. He wanted to relay the voices of
the people. He worked hard on his pieces and was very keen on factual
reporting of the daily life of Gaza’s people, despite all the
challenges that a journalist like him faces. Unfortunately, he was
killed before he got to do what he wanted in journalism; and the most
horrific heartbreaking part was that he thought he would survive.”

a Palestinian journalist who worked as a host for the
Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa Voice Radio, was killed in an Israeli
airstrike on Nuseirat camp in northern Gaza, along with four of his
children, according to multiplemediareports,
a tweet by his outlet,
the Palestinian
Journalists’ Syndicate,
and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.
El-Ruwagh
was buried on January 26, according to Al-Jazeera.
Prior to his death, he posted on
Facebook about his family’s dire conditions, asking for someone who
was leaving Gaza to take his toddler to his wife, who fled to Sinai,
Egypt, with his son Mohamed following a previous airstrike that
severely injured him. After El-Ruwagh’s death, his wife published
Facebook posts about
him and her slain children: Loay, Nada, Yazan, and the toddler,
Ahmed.

al-Zuweidi
Al-Zuweidi,
a Palestinian journalist and camera operator for the privately owned
Cairo-based broadcaster Al-Ghad, was killed, along with his
brother and cousin, in an Israeli airstrike on Beit Hanoun in
northern Gaza while on his way to see what had happened to his home
in the aftermath of heavy bombing, according to his employer,
the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes, The
New Arab,
and the Palestinian
Journalists’ Syndicate.
Al-Zuweidi,
27, had been working with Al-Ghad for six years, and covered the war
and various other events in Gaza, according to the broadcaster.
Al-Ghad said that Al-Zuweidi didn’t stop reporting on the ongoing
war; he kept filming from northern Gaza and sending footage to the
channel after it was impossible for him to evacuate south to Rafah.

him, according to Al-Jazeera, The
New Arab,
and the Beirut-based press freedom group SKeyes.
His outlet said
that he worked relentlessly during the war to cover the news. Bawabat
al-Hadaf was affiliated with The
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

ElShafie,
a Palestinian journalist working as a reporter and editor for the
Palestinian press agency Safa died after sustaining injuries months
before on October 30, from an Israeli bullet, according to his
outlet Safa,
the Palestinian
Journalists’ Syndicate (PJS),
and Al-Jazeera.
PJS said in a statement that
ElShafie required medical attention after sustaining the
life-threatening injury, and that it submitted a request to evacuate
the journalists from Gaza for that purpose, but it was declined by
Israel, according to the syndicate. The syndicate also stated that 25
journalists in Gaza are injured and require immediate medical
attention.
Safa said that
ElShafie, 53, was injured badly by Israeli bullets when he was on his
way to check up on his house, and that he spent the last two months
in hospitals. It added that ElShafie started working with Safa in
2019, and that the last report he wrote was about the cooperation and
solidarity between Gazan refugees in the war.

the bullet was fired by an Israeli sniper. Balousha said in
a video about
his injury that he lost consciousness for about 30 minutes after “six
hours of agony” and was roused by the nuzzling of cats he was
feeding before the shooting. Al Mashhad said that Israeli forces
intercepted the ambulances sent to evacuate him, delaying his
transfer to a hospital for treatment.
In late November,
Balousha broke a story that
four premature babies left behind at al-Nasr Children’s Hospital
died and their bodies had decomposed after Israel forced the staff to
evacuate without ambulances. Balousha accused Israel of directly
targeting him. “I was wearing everything to prove that I was a
journalist, but they deliberately targeted me, and now I am
struggling to get the treatment necessary to preserve my life,” he
told The
Washington Post.

covering Friday prayers near Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem on
December 15 when a group of Israeli police and soldiers attacked him,
according to Anadolu
Agency, footage shared
by The Union of Journalists in Israel, and the Palestinian
Authority’s official news agency Wafa.
Soldiers initially brandished their weapons at Alkharouf, punched
him, and then threw him to the ground, kicking him. Alkharouf
sustained severe blows, resulting in injuries to his face and body,
and was transported by ambulance and treated at Makassed Hospital in
East Jerusalem.

TABAKSACCIJNS EN CORRUPTIE
Tips voor 'vapers': veel gezeur anno 2019 over vapen en een 'vreemde longziekte'. Gebruik je e-sigaret niet als een gewone sigaret, immers die brand op en je moet dus blijven roken tot je het zat bent of tot de sigaret op is. Dit hoeft niet met de e-sigaret, deze werkt, mits opgeladen en gevuld met vloeistof, direct en je kan deze na een paar trekken wegleggen. Nogmaals: gebruik de e-sigaret dan ook niet als een sigaret. Daarover gesproken: als je aan een e-sigaret trekt doe dit dan niet direct op je longen, maar als een sigaret, dus eerst in je mond en dan pas inademen. Het laatste zie je maar weinig mensen doen (althans ik zie dat weinig). Directe inademing is overigens ook al niet nodig als je wiet of hasj rookt, ook het in je longen houden van de rook met wiet of hasj is totaal overbodig, je kan dit gewoon als een sigaret roken, 'stoned' wordt je toch wel en even snel. Houd je aan deze zaken en je zal zien dat je met vapen heel veel minder tabak rookt, of daar zelfs helemaal mee kan stoppen! Dan nog het volgende: vape alleen met vloeistof die van tabak is gemaakt, de extra smaken voegen meer overbodige schadelijke stoffen toe. Het is een misvatting dat vapen even slecht is als tabak, er zitten aanzienlijk minder schadelijke stoffen in en in vergelijking met de gewone sigaret, bevat de vape vloeistof maar één verslavende stof en dat is nicotine (in de gewone sigaret zitten meerdere verslavende stoffen waar de minst verslavende nicotine is !!!).Tot slot, rook je nog niet? Begin er niet aan en ga ajb niet vapen! Verslaving aan tabak is een vervelende en uiterst kostbare ziekte.
Per 1 maart 2011 werden de tabaksaccijns verhoogd. Voor shag ging de prijs met 0,26 cent per pakje van 45 gram omhoog.
Per 1 juli 2012 verhoogden de fabrikanten de prijs van tabak, voor een pakje shag met 15 cent. Per 1 januari 2013 wordt de prijs van tabak door de regering nog eens verhoogd, voor shag maar liefst 60 cent per pakje!
Maar er is meer, de belastingdienst heeft gezorgd voor minimum accijns: het absolute bedrag dat wordt geheven, is per 1 maart 2011 zodanig verhoogd, dat deze ten alle tijde gelijk is aan het bedrag dat als accijns wordt geheven op de hoogste prijsklasse. Een leuk cadeau in 2011, van de zeer 'integere' CDA tabakslobbyist Hillen en het laatste kabinet Balkenende, voor de grote tabaksfabrikanten, waar zoals gezegd in 2012 nog een cadeau van het disfunctionerende demissionaire kabinet Rutte bijkwam in 2013, met hulp van 'oppositiepartijen D66, GL en CU.
Daarnaast zijn al die prijsverhogingen een mooi cadeau voor de georganiseerde misdaad, die jaarlijks miljarden sigaretten smokkelen. Niets nieuws, want het CDA heeft via de EVP toch al hechte banden met de maffia, bij de VVD is het al niet veel anders en zoals blijkt ook bij D66, GL en CU.
Begin februari 2011 werd bekend, dat een onderdeel van defensie zich bezighield met misdaad, o.a. werd de smokkel van illegale sigaretten genoemd....
Vooralsnog weigert (september 2012) demissionair minister van Volksgezondheid Schippers de tabaksindustrie te dwingen de samenstelling van 'geheime' stoffen in tabak prijs te geven, stoffen die de verslaving aan tabak verzwaren en die de gezondheid nog meer schaden...
Het is zelfs zo zot, dat de minst verslavende stof in tabak nicotine is...... Nadat D66 hufter Borst weigerde de extra verslavende stoffen in tabak te verbieden, daar dit het roken zou bevorderen, hebben alle regeringen daarna deze meer dan schunnige houding
gevolgd.....
Totale opbrengst van tabaksaccijns in 2011: twaalf miljard euro!!!!!!!!!!! Dus als u nog eens wilt zeuren over de hoge kosten die rokers voor de gezondheidszorg opleveren..............
Het is intussen 2019 en nog steeds liegt men in de politiek dat prijsverhogingen het enige middel is om roken tegen te gaan. Daarvoor wijst men naar Australië, zonder te melden dat daar het aantal gerookte illegale sigaretten volgens deskundigen het aantal legaal verkochte sigaretten benadert...... Overigens is het nu al een paar jaar zo dat het aantal rokers in Nederland niet daalt, ondanks de enorme prijsverhogingen (waarvan vooral arme Nederlanders het slachtoffer zijn en zoals je weet: financiële problemen zijn geen stimulans om te stoppen met roken....).......

Muziektip van uw Azijnpisser bij de koppen en aanhangsels van Wilders en andere fascisten
Zit u zich te ergeren aan Wilders of andere politici met aanhangsels, beluister dan bijvoorbeeld Alabama 3 met het nummer 'Woody Guthrie' van de cd 'Power in the blood'. En u weet het: geluidsniveau 80 en de bas op abn (aardbevingsniveau). U zult merken dat u daar weer wat rustiger van wordt. Wetenschappelijk is het al vaker bewezen: muziek kan geneeskrachtig werken!
Atoom-stroom
Er werd tot voor kort veel reclame gemaakt voor atoomstroom. Als u in het bezit bent van 2 hersencellen of meer, zal u de leugens onmiddellijk herkennen. Voor de 1 hersen-celligen of andere dombo's het volgende: atoom-stroom is allesbehalve co2 vrij, kijk naar de bouw van zo'n centrale, afbraak is nog nooit gedaan en is praktisch bijna onhaalbaar. Bij de winning van uranium ontstaat een gigantische milieuvervuiling. Van ellende weten we niet waar we met het afval naar toe moeten. Dan de leugen subsidievrij: er is geen manier van energie opwekken, waar zoveel subsidie voor is gebruikt en gebruikt wordt dan voor kernenergie. Nog belangrijker: u scheept de wereld, uw kinderen en kindskinderen op met een gevaarlijk afval probleem, niet alleen het kernafval, ook de gebouwen die blijven staan zijn levensgevaarlijk afval! Het is inmiddels april 2013 en zijn we de ramp met de kerncentrales in het Japanse Fukushima 'rijker', intussen is het ongeveer een jaar geleden, dat de pro-kernenergie reclames te horen waren, maar waakzaamheid blijft geboden. De lobbyisten voor deze peperdure en levensgevaarlijke technologie werken dag en nacht door..... Samsom, de PvdA windvaan was voor de ramp in Japan, al 'voorzichtig' voor kernenergie, een mening die 180 graden draaide na de ramp in Fukushima, maar kijk niet op, als hij later zijn mening weer eens omdraait... Aanvulling op de veiligheid: volgens IT specialist Ronald Prins van Fox-IT, kan een elektriciteitscentrale via internet worden aangevallen, zelfs als de systemen niet op dat net zijn aangesloten (zie mijn bericht van 10 december 2010)
Het is bij de laatste aanpassing van deze boodschap april 2013 en binnenkort wordt de kerncentrale van Borssele stilgelegd voor de jaarlijkse controle, Essent en Delta hebben met de overheid afgesproken niet het hele reactorvat op haarscheurtjes te controleren.... (zie o.a. mijn berichten van 11 april 2013 en 4 maart 2015).
