Deutschlandfunk meldde in het nieuws van 17.30 u. dat Israël op een beestachtige manier meerdere doelen tegelijk heeft aangevallen in Libanon, eerder meldde Al Jazeera als 89 doden en meer dan 800 (ook zwaar) gewonden. Uiteraard zullen veel gewonden overlijden daar de ziekenhuizen de toevoer van gewonden niet kunnen verwerken, bovendien is de kans groot dat er vanavond nog aanvallen volgen....

Israël gaat als een dolle hond tekeer en heeft blijkbaar lak aan alle internationale wet- en regelgeving aangaande oorlogsvoering, al zal het me niet verbazen als de fascistische genocidepleger Netanyahu of 1 van z'n misselijkmakende andere regeringsleden zullen verklaren dat de aanvallen waren gericht op Hezbollah leden, je weet het gebruikelijke valse excuus. Westerse regeringen zijn hier mede schuldig aan daar ze Israël werkelijk overal mee laten wegkomen, neem alleen al een nu al 2,5 jaar lang uitgevoerde genocide op de Palestijnen in de Gazastrook..... Ook de reguliere westerse media zijn schuldig daar ze amper of geen kritiek leveren op Israël en vooral Iran, Hezbollah en Hamas demoniseren..... Hezbollah en Hamas zijn eigenlijk de enige (verzets-) groepen die het opnemen voor de Palestijnen en voor de Libanese burgers.....

‘What Israel is doing in Lebanon is patently illegal’
Israeli political commentator Ori Goldberg has described the unprecedented Israeli military assault on Lebanon as “a pyrotechnics show meant to demonstrate Israel’s effectiveness while ultimately demonstrating its despair”.
“The only entity that can stop it is the international community that will defend Lebanon’s sovereign rights, which have been violated for decades but are now almost nonexistent,” Goldberg told Al Jazeera.
He said Israeli PM Netanyahu has been exposed as “a liability” for Washington due to the US-Israeli war on Iran, and Israel’s leader is therefore “desperately trying to show that it controls at least some of the game”.
“[Netanyahu] bet it all on Trump; he lost. He thought he could keep Trump on a short leash. He messed that up. So now what he has is Lebanon, which has been Israel’s favourite stomping ground in terms of sovereignty violation and aggression generally,” Goldberg said.
“Really, now it’s up to the international community about whether it intervenes.”
Wounded people still arriving at hospitals in Lebanon, health minister says
Israel has bombed Beirut in a devastating attack that authorities say has led to hundreds of casualties, including dead and wounded. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had earlier said that Lebanon would not be included in the ceasefire.

Beirut struck without warning as areas face devastating impact

We are at a densely populated residential area in Beirut which was hit. There are commercial buildings as well as apartments, home to thousands and thousands of people. They were hit with absolutely no warning.
While many of Israel’s previous strikes have been in areas known to be Hezbollah strongholds, many of today’s strikes are in an area that’s not widely seen as a Hezbollah stronghold. They came without warning and caught people completely by surprise. That had a devastating effect.
Hospitals in Beirut are said to be overwhelmed with hundreds of casualties. There have been numerous callouts on social media for urgent blood donations.
People with injuries were running down the road, trying to seek help. People abandoned their cars in the traffic. People were shouting, children were crying, because of the scenes of total panic in places where people didn’t expect this to happen at all.
