De VS-terreur die dit jaar begon tegen Venezuela (althans de smerige al vele jaren durende VS-sancties tegen dat land buiten beschouwing latend) begon met het brengen van een kleine VS-vloot voor de kust van Venezuela, waarna deze VS vloot begon met het bombarderen van boten met het lamme Trump-excuus dat dit drugskoeriers zouden zijn geweest, zonder ook maar één stuk van bewijs aan te leveren, intussen heeft de VS op deze manier 27 mensen vermoord.....
Zelfs al zouden deze mensen drugskoeriers zijn geweest is en blijft het tegen elke internationale regel om mensen zonder vorm van proces te vermoorden..... 'Leuk feit' nog >> de CIA zit al decennialang in Venezuela en voedt daar de oppositie met wapens en geld.... De laatste uitspraken van Trump kunnen maar één ding betekenen, niet het zogenaamde drugskartel zal worden aangepakt, Trump wil de regering Maduro ten val brengen....
Dan te bedenken dat al in 2021 bekend was dat de VS, met de al vele jaren durende illegale sancties tegen Venezuela, 100.000 Venezolanen had vermoord.....* Let wel: ook Nederland is mede verantwoordelijk voor die enorme massamoord, waar intussen al een groot aantal slachtoffers aan moet worden toegevoegd, daar wij in EU-verband meedoen aan die sancties, waar verder Canada en Groot-Brittannië aan meedoen.... Ongelofelijk trouwens dat je het ICC ook al niet hoort over de illegale sancties die de VS te onpas en te onpas oplegt aan wie het dat Vierde Rijk maar uitkomt.....

Nu nog afwachten of er ook NAVO-troepen van VS vazallen zullen meedoen aan de oorlog in Venezuela, dit daar de NAVO 2 militaire bases heeft in Colombia, vlak aan de grens met.... Venezuela!! Volidioot Trump durfde openlijk keihard te liegen dat Maduro de leider van een drugskartel is, terwijl de VS in het verleden meermaals is betrapt op het zelf invoeren van drugs, niet alleen door het terreurleger van de VS, de CIA, dan wel de FBI maar zelfs door de DEA (Drugs Enforcement Administration)....** Dit leugenverhaal van Trump kan je dan ook zien als een voorbode voor de oorlog die hij tegen Venezuela wil voeren met als valse reden daarvoor als zou Venezuela de VS volpompen met drugs, waarbij hij niet alleen keihard loog dat Maduro het hoofd is van het drugskartel Tren de Aragua, maar ook dat Venezuela misdadigers en 'misdadigers' uit psychiatrische inrichtingen massaal over de grens met de VS zou hebben gebracht.... Trump says he authorised CIA in Venezuela as Maduro says 'no to regime change'

US President Donald Trump has confirmed a report he authorised the CIA to conduct covert operations inside Venezuela, provoking outrage from the South American nation's leader.
US forces have already conducted at least five strikes on suspected drug-carrying boats in the Caribbean in recent weeks, killing 27 people. UN-appointed human rights experts have described the raids as "extrajudicial executions".
Speaking at the White House, Trump said the US "is looking at land" as it considers further strikes on drug cartels in the region.
Nicolás Maduro, whose legitimacy as Venezuela's president is internationally contested after disputed elections last year, appealed on TV for peace with the US.
The increased US military presence in the region has raised fears in Caracas of a possible attack.
According to the New York Times, Trump's authorisation would allow the CIA to carry out operations in Venezuela unilaterally or as part of any wider US military activity.
It remains unknown whether the CIA is planning operations in Venezuela, or whether those plans are being kept as contingencies, but the spy agency has a long history of activities in South America.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trump was questioned about the New York Times report.
"Why did you authorise the CIA to go into Venezuela?" a journalist asked.
"I authorised for two reasons really," Trump said in a highly unusual acknowledgement from a US commander-in-chief about an intelligence organisation whose activities are typically shrouded in secrecy.
"Number one, they [Venezuela] have emptied their prisons into the United States of America."
He added: "And the other thing are drugs. We have a lot of drugs coming in from Venezuela, and a lot of the Venezuelan drugs come in through the sea, so you get to see that, but we're going to stop them by land also."
Venezuela plays a relatively minor role in the region's drug trade. The president would not be drawn on whether the CIA's goal was to topple Maduro, for whom the US has offered a $50m (£37m) bounty.
"Wouldn't it be a ridiculous question for me to answer?" he said.
In the most recent US strike on Tuesday, six people were killed when a boat was targeted near Venezuela's coast.
On Truth Social, Trump said that "intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO [drug-trafficking organisation] drug-trafficking route".
As has been the case in previous strikes, US officials have not specified what drug-trafficking organisation was allegedly operating the vessel, or the identities of those aboard.
Maduro took to the airwaves on Wednesday night to warn against escalation.
"No to regime change, which reminds us so much of the endless, failed wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and so on," said the Socialist leader.
"No to CIA-orchestrated coups d'état."
He added: "Listen to me, no war, yes peace, the people United States."
Earlier in the day Maduro ordered military exercises in the Caracas suburb of Petare and in neighbouring Miranda state on Wednesday.
In a message on Telegram, he said he was mobilising the military, police and civilian militia to defend the oil-rich country.
Foreign Minister Yván Gil said on Telegram that Venezuela "rejects the warmongering and extravagant statements of the president of the United States".
"We view with extreme alarm the use of the CIA, as well as the military deployments announced in the Caribbean, which amount to a policy of aggression, threat, and harassment against Venezuela," he added.
Trump has deployed eight warships, a nuclear-power submarine and fighter jets to the Caribbean in what the White House says is an effort to crack down on drug smuggling.
In a leaked memo recently sent to US lawmakers, the Trump administration said it had determined it was involved in a "non-international armed conflict" with drug-trafficking organisations.
US officials have alleged that Maduro himself is part of an organisation called the Cartel of the Suns, which they say includes high-ranking Venezuelan military and security officials involved in drug trafficking. Maduro has denied the claims.
Mick Mulroy, a former CIA paramilitary officer and Assistant Undersecretary of Defense, told the BBC: "In order to conduct covert action, there needs to be a presidential finding for the CIA specially authorizing it, with specific actions identified."
Mulroy added that such a finding would mark a "substantial increase" in efforts against drug trafficking organizations.
"Perhaps a real life 'Sicario'," he said, referring to a 2015 film that depicts US operatives launching clandestine operations against drug cartels in Mexico.

Tell the Nobel Committee: The Peace Prize belongs to Gaza’s journalists, not María Corina Machado!
When I saw the headline “María Corina Machado wins the Peace Prize,” I almost laughed at the absurdity. But I didn’t, because there’s nothing funny about rewarding someone whose politics have brought so much suffering.

Anyone who knows what she stands for knows there’s nothing remotely peaceful about her politics. If this is what counts as “peace” in 2025, then the prize itself has lost every ounce of credibility. I’m Venezuelan-American, and I know exactly what Machado represents.
She’s the smiling face of Washington’s regime-change machine, the polished spokesperson for sanctions, privatization, and foreign intervention dressed up as democracy.
Machado’s politics are steeped in violence. She has called for foreign intervention, even appealing directly to Benjamin Netanyahu, the architect of Gaza’s annihilation, to help “liberate” Venezuela with bombs under the banner of “freedom.” She has demanded sanctions, the silent form of warfare whose effects – as studies in The Lancet and other journals have shown – have killed more people than war, cutting off medicine, food, and energy to entire populations.

Machado has spent her entire political life promoting division, eroding Venezuela’s sovereignty, and denying its people the right to live with dignity.
This is who María Corina Machado really is:
👉 She helped lead the 2002 coup that briefly overthrew a democratically elected president and signed the Carmona Decree that erased the Constitution and dissolved every public institution overnight.
👉 She worked hand in hand with Washington to justify regime change, using her platform to demand foreign military intervention to “liberate” Venezuela through force.
👉 She cheered on Donald Trump’s threats of invasion and his naval deployments in the Caribbean, a show of force that risks igniting regional war under the pretext of “combating narcotrafficking.” While Trump sent warships and froze assets, Machado stood ready to serve as his local proxy, promising to deliver Venezuela’s sovereignty on a silver platter.
👉 She pushed for the U.S. sanctions that strangled the economy, knowing exactly who would pay the price: the poor, the sick, and the working class.
👉 She helped construct the so-called “interim government,” a Washington-backed puppet show run by a self-appointed “president” who looted Venezuela’s resources abroad while children at home went hungry.
👉 She vows to reopen Venezuela’s embassy in Jerusalem, aligning herself openly with the same apartheid state that bombs hospitals and calls it self-defense.
👉 Now she wants to hand over the country’s oil, water, and infrastructure to private corporations. This is the same recipe that made Latin America the laboratory of neoliberal misery in the 1990s.
Machado was also one of the political architects of La Salida, the 2014 opposition campaign that called for escalated protests, including guarimba tactics. Those weren’t “peaceful protests,” as the foreign press claimed; they were organized barricades meant to paralyze the country and force the government’s fall. Streets were blocked with burning trash and barbed wire, buses carrying workers were torched, and people suspected of being Chavistas were beaten or killed. Even ambulances and doctors were attacked. Some Cuban medical brigades were nearly burned alive. Public buildings, food trucks, and schools were destroyed. Entire neighborhoods were held hostage by fear while opposition leaders like Machado cheered from the sidelines and called it “resistance.”
She praises Trump’s “decisive action” against what she calls a “criminal enterprise,” aligning herself with the same man who cages migrant children and tears families apart under ICE’s watch while Venezuelan mothers search for their children disappeared by U.S. migration policies.
Machado isn’t a symbol of peace or progress. She is part of a global alliance between fascism, Zionism, and neoliberalism – an axis that justifies domination in the language of democracy and peace. In Venezuela, that alliance has meant coups, sanctions, and privatization. In Gaza, it means genocide and the erasure of a people. The ideology is the same: a belief that some lives are disposable, that sovereignty is negotiable, and that violence can be sold as order.
If Henry Kissinger could win a Nobel Peace Prize, why not María Corina Machado? Maybe next year they’ll give one to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation for “compassion under occupation.”
Every time this award is handed to an architect of violence disguised as diplomacy, it spits in the face of those who actually fight for peace, like the Palestinian journalists in Gaza who, with no safety or rest, document the bombings, name the victims, and keep the truth alive when the world looks away.
Tell the Nobel Committee that they uplift war criminals, not peacemakers!
