Israël gebruikt alweer nazi misdaden tegen het Palestijnse volk

Naftali Bennett, de nieuwe Israëlische minister van Defensie, wil niet langer de lijken vrijgeven van Palestijnen die door het Israëlische leger werden vermoord. Zijn plan moet nog door de Knesset maar dat zal geen probleem opleveren.

Het achterhouden van Palestijnse lijken door Israël dateert al van de oorlog die dit land in 1967 tegen buurlanden startte (eerder werd gezegd dat Israël werd aangevallen, echter uit onderzoek blijkt dat Israël zelf deze oorlog startte...). Zo hield Israël 34 jaar lang het lijk achter van een in 1976 vermoorde Palestijn, alvorens de familie het lijk van hun geliefde kon begraven.....

Het 'hooggerechtshof' van Israël besloot eerder dat het Israëlische leger het recht heeft lijken achter te houden en die te gebruiken als wisselgeld voor (politieke) onderhandelingen met de Palestijnse Autoriteit op de West Bank of Hamas in de Gazastrook..... Een gerechtshof dat een dergelijke uitspraak doet heeft dan ook niets meer met rechtspreken te maken, te zot voor woorden en internationaal gezien zonder meer misdadig!!

Ach ja wat wil je, Israël is een fascistische apartheidsstaat, waar men als de nazi's schijt heeft aan internationale rechtsregels, ook de nazi's hielden lijken achter en verbrandden die zelfs...... (Israël is naast een duidelijke apartheidsstaat nu ook officieel een fascistische staat vanwege de aanname van de natiestaatwet....)

Macleod spreekt in zijn artikel nog over Bennett als degene die de moord op leiders in de Gazastrook heeft goedgekeurd, zo ook de moord op al-Atta in de Gazastrook, een moord die daar leidde tot grote verontwaardiging en na het afschieten van veredelde vuurpijlen vanuit de Gazastrook, uiteindelijk tot de dood leidde van 34 Palestijnse mensen, zoals gewoonlijk inclusief vrouwen en kinderen.....

Israel’s newly appointed defence minister, Naftali Bennett, said on Wednesday that the Israeli army will no longer release the bodies of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces, regardless of their political affiliations.

Bennett spoke to Israeli security heads, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the matter will be discussed for the government's approval.

Israel’s policy of withholding the bodies of Palestinians started since its occupation of the West Bank in the 1967 Middle East war.

One such case is Mashhour Arouri, a Palestinian killed in 1976 whose body was released 34 years later. He was one of 317 Palestinians and other Arab nationals whose bodies were withheld by Israeli authorities.

Mohammed Abu Sneineh, a lawyer working for Jerusalem Legal Aid Center’s legal campaign, told Middle East Eye that Israel has retained the bodies of at least 50 Palestinians killed since September 2015 when a wave of attacks on Israeli soldiers in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem began.

Abu Sneineh said that Bennett’s announcement will legalise the Israeli security forces' practice. Some of the cases had already been ruled on at the Israeli Supreme Court in September.

The court had voted by a 4-3 majority for Israel's right to withhold the bodies of 13 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in its custody and allow their use as bargaining chips with the Hamas movement.

“According to the [current] Israeli law, the military chief has the right to retain the body of the martyr temporarily, but the date of the release is unknown,” Abu Sneineh said.

He said the “legal board” to battle the Israeli system and secure the release of the bodies of Palestinians is becoming narrower. Abu Sneineh added that some of the bodies have been buried in places that can only be identified by the Israeli army, while some remain in hospital mortuaries.

Adalah, the Legal Centre for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, said in a statement that "the instructions issued by Defence Minister Bennett are an attempt to trade in the bodies of deceased persons, who are entitled to respect and burial. No country in the world allows itself to hold and to use bodies as a card for negotiations and political bargaining.

"These practices violate international humanitarian law (IHL) and international human rights law, including the UN Convention against Torture, which absolutely prohibits such cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment."

Bennett's announcement comes as Israel might be gearing up for a third election if members of parliament fail to nominate a person to form a government in the upcoming days. Last week, Netanyahu was indicted on corruption charges and breach of mistrust.

Bennett, who was appointed by Netanyahu in early November, has supported the extra-judicial execution of Hamas leaders who rule the Gaza Strip.

Just a few days into his new position as defence minister, the Israeli army assassinated Islamic Jihad commander Baha Abu al-Atta in an air strike on his home in Gaza, leading to two days of fighting where 34 Palestinians were killed by Israeli air strikes, including women and children, before a ceasefire was agreed.

Vier spelende Palestijnse jongens werden doelbewust vermoord middels een Israëlische drone

Een geheim Israëlisch rapport toont aan dat de vier Palestijnse jongens, in de leeftijd van 10 en 11 jaar, spelend op het strand van Gaza (op 16 juli 2014), door het Israël werden vermoord met gebruikmaking van een drone, zou schrijft Robert Mackey in een artikel op The Intercept........

Uitvoerig wordt ingegaan hoe e.e.a. heeft kunnen gebeuren en de reden waarom Israël e.e.a. geheim wilde houden >> niet alleen vanwege de wereldwijde verontwaardiging (al was die buiten het westen een stuk groter..), maar ook om de verkoop van Israëlische drones naar het buitenland veilig te stellen. Zo stond er een contract met Duitsland op het spel, een contract voor 'het leasen' van drones voor maar 'liefst' 600 miljoen euro.....

In het artikel gaat Mackey in op de stelling van Israël dat er een vergissing werd gemaakt bij het beoordelen van de beelden waarop de beslissing werd genomen die tot de dood van de vier jongens leidde. Echter gezien eerdere gebeurtenissen en de gebeurtenissen sinds maart dit jaar, waarbij vreedzame (nog steeds voortdurende) demonstraties onder de naam 'The Great Return March', doelbewust onder vuur werden genomen, kan je echt niet spreken van 'vergissingen........' Onder vuur genomen door psychopathische Israëlische scherpschutters (met een uitstekend werkend vizier op hun wapen), die een groot aantal ongewapende mensen hebben vermoord, Palestijnse mensen waaronder duidelijk herkenbare kinderen en medische hulpverleners.........

'Je zou bijna gaan denken' dat Israël dit geheime rapport expres heeft gelekt om aan te tonen dat men wel degelijk menselijke trekken heeft en men moeite heeft met dit soort 'vergissingen', terwijl de dagelijkse werkelijkheid laat zien dat Israël er totaal geen moeite mee heeft om kinderen, vrouwen, gehandicapten en zelfs mensen met het Downsyndroom* (nogmaals: doelbewust) gevangen te nemen, gruwelijk te martelen, dan wel standrechtelijk te vermoorden.....

Secret Israeli Report Reveals Armed Drone Killed Four Boys Playing on Gaza Beach in 2014

A CONFIDENTIAL REPORT by Israeli military police investigators seen by The Intercept explains how a tragic series of mistakes by air force, naval, and intelligence officers led to an airstrike in which four Palestinian boys playing on a beach in Gaza in 2014 were killed by missiles launched from an armed drone.

Testimony from the officers involved in the attack, which has been concealed from the public until now, confirms for the first time that the children — four cousins ages 10 and 11 — were pursued and killed by drone operators who somehow mistook them, in broad daylight, for Hamas militants.

The testimony raises new questions about whether the attack, which unfolded in front of dozens of journalists and triggered global outrage, was carried out with reckless disregard for civilian life and without proper authorization. After killing the first boy, the drone operators told investigators, they had sought clarification from their superiors as to how far along the beach, used by civilians, they could pursue the fleeing survivors. Less than a minute later, as the boys ran for their lives, the drone operators decided to launch a second missile, killing three more children, despite never getting an answer to their question.

Suhad Bishara, a lawyer representing the families of the victims, told

The Intercept that Israel’s use of armed drones to kill Palestinians poses “many questions concerning human judgment, ethics, and compliance with international humanitarian law.”

Remotely piloted bombers “alter the process of human decision-making,” Bishara said, and the use of the technology in the 2014 beach attack “expands the circle of people responsible for the actual killing of the Bakr children.”

Just hours before the attack, on the morning of July 16, 2014, the public relations unit of the Israel Defense Forces had been promoting the idea that the live video feeds provided by drones enabled its air force to avoid killing Palestinian civilians.

The PR unit released operational footage, apparently taken from the screens of Israeli drone operators, which documented how three Israeli airstrikes had been called off that week because figures, identified as civilians, had appeared close to targets in the densely populated Gaza Strip.

Those images were released one week into Israel’s Operation Protective Edge, a 50-day offensive against Hamas militants in Gaza in which Israel would eventually kill 1,391 civilians, including 526 children.

Later that same day, at about 3:30 p.m., an Israeli Hermes 450 surveillance drone hovering over a beach in Gaza City transmitted images of eight figures clambering from the strand onto a jetty.

A small shipping container on the jetty had been destroyed by an Israeli missile the day before, based on intelligence indicating that it might have been used by Hamas naval commandos to store weapons. Some analysts have questioned that intelligence, however, since there were no secondary explosions after the structure was hit and journalists staying in nearby hotels reported that no militants had been seen around the jetty that week.

The Israeli military police report reviewed by The Intercept documents what happened next. After one of the figures on the jetty entered the container that had been destroyed the previous day, an Israeli air force commander at the Palmachim air base, south of Tel Aviv, ordered the operators of a second drone, which was armed, to fire a missile at the container.

AS MY COLLEAGUES Cora Currier and Henrik Moltke reported in 2016, although the Israeli government maintains an official stance of secrecy around its use of drones to carry out airstrikes, hacked Israeli surveillance images provided to The Intercept by former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden showed an Israeli drone armed with missiles in 2010.

Speaking privately to a visiting American diplomat after Israel’s 2009 offensive in Gaza, Avichai Mandelblit, who was the country’s chief military prosecutor at the time and now serves as its attorney general, acknowledged that two missiles that injured civilians in a mosque had been fired from an unmanned aerial vehicle, according to a leaked State Department cable.

One reason that Israel might decline to acknowledge that its drones have been used to kill Palestinian children is that such information could complicate sales of its drones to foreign governments. In June, the state-owned company Israel Aerospace Industries signed a $600 million deal to lease Heron drones to Germany’s defense ministry. That deal was initially delayed by concerns from German politicians that the drones, to be used for surveillance, could also be armed. The same state-owned company has also sold drones to Turkey, a strongly pro-Palestinian nation, which has nonetheless used the Israeli technology to bomb Kurds in Iraq.

The Israeli military police report on the 2014 strike seen by The Intercept offers the most direct evidence to date that Israel has used armed drones to launch attacks in Gaza. Testimony from the drone operators, commanders, and intelligence officers who took part in the attack confirms that they used an armed drone to fire the missile that slammed into the jetty, killing the person who had entered the container, and also to launch a second strike, which killed three of the survivors as they fled across the beach.

According to the testimony of one naval officer involved in the strikes, the mission was initially considered “a great success,” because the strike team believed, wrongly, that they had killed four Hamas militants preparing to launch an attack on Israeli forces.

Within minutes of the two strikes, however, a group of international journalists who had witnessed the attack from nearby hotels reported that the victims torn apart by the missiles were not adult militants but four small boys, cousins who were 10 and 11 years old.

Another four boys from the same family survived the attack, but were left with shrapnel wounds and deep emotional scars.

Harrowing images of the children running desperately across the beach after the first missile had killed their cousin were quickly shared by a Palestinian photographer, an Al Jazeera reporter and a camera crew from French television.

A brutal image of the immediate aftermath captured by Tyler Hicks of the New York Times, one of the journalists who witnessed the attack, made the killing of the four boys, all of them sons of Gaza fishermen from the Bakr family, reverberate worldwide.

The French TV correspondent Liseron Boudoul, whose report that day included distressing video of the boys running along the beach before the second strike, noted that she and other witnesses to the attack were unclear where, exactly, the missiles had come from — although initial speculation centered on Israeli naval vessels seen just offshore.

THE SECRET TESTIMONY from the Israeli military personnel involved in the attack establishes for the first time that the drone operators treated the jetty as a free-fire zone on the mistaken assumption that it was off-limits to anyone but militants.

After images of the attack prompted widespread outrage, Israel’s army conducted a review of the mission and recommended that a military police investigation into possible criminal negligence be conducted. The testimonies collected by the military police from the strike team were included in a report presented to Israel’s military advocate general, Maj. Gen. Danny Efroni, 11 months after the boys were killed.

Efroni did not release the testimonies, but did make a summary of the report’s findings public on June 11, 2015, when he closed the investigation without filing any charges. Israel’s chief military prosecutor decided that no further criminal or disciplinary measures would be taken, since the investigators had concluded that “it would not have been possible for the operational entities involved to have identified these figures, via aerial surveillance, as children.”

Efroni did not explain why that was impossible. Two days before the strike in question, Israel’s military PR unit had released another video clip in which drone operators could be heard deciding to halt strikes because they had identified figures in their live feeds as children.

Adalah, also known as the Haifa-based Legal Center for Arab Minority Rights in Israel, has spent the past three years fighting on behalf of the families of the boys — Ismail Bakr, 10; Ahed Bakr, 10; Zakaria Bakr, 10; and Mohammed Bakr, 11 — to have the decision not to prosecute the soldiers overturned by an Israeli court.

Much of that time has been spent waiting for Israel’s attorney general, Mandelblit, to simply reply to appeals filed by Adalah and two Gazan rights groups, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights and Al Mezan Center for Human Rights.

In February, Adalah said in a statement that Israel’s own investigation “revealed that the Israeli military did not take any measures to ascertain whether the targets on the ground were civilians, let alone children, prior to intentionally directing the attacks against them.”

Bishara, one of the Adalah lawyers representing the boys’ families, told The Intercept in a telephone interview that the Israeli investigation of the killings, in which the military cleared itself of wrongdoing, was flawed in several ways. To start with, the testimonies were only collected by the military police four months after the incident, and only considered what could be seen of the beach through the drone cameras. No testimony was taken from the international journalists who witnessed the attack, and the accounts of Palestinian witnesses, including written affidavits from boys injured in the strikes, were discounted.

A Wall Street Journal video report filed on the day of the attack by Nick Casey, a correspondent staying in a hotel close to the jetty, cast doubt on the Israeli intelligence that designated the site a Hamas compound. Casey’s report, which featured images of the first young victim’s mangled body being taken from the jetty, explained that “no one knew why this place had been bombarded; there have been no Hamas attacks from here and no rockets that we’ve seen.”

When the Israeli authorities closed the case in 2015, Alexander Marquardt, a former ABC Jerusalem correspondent who had also witnessed the attack, disputed the finding that the jetty was sealed off from the beach, arguing that it was open to civilians.

Israël nu officieel fascistische apartheidsstaat: natiestaat wet aangenomen.........

Israël is al jaren een fascistische apartheidsstaat (en nog een uiterst gewelddadige ook), e.e.a. is nu vervat in wetgeving, met het aannemen van een natiestaat wet....... 

Het was al zo dat Israëlische arabieren (lees: Palestijnen die in 1948 niet werden verjaagd van hun grond en/of uit hun huis) in veel steden en dorpen niet welkom waren, met deze wet is deze apartheidsmaatregel in feite geïnstitutionaliseerd........

Ook de officiële taal is vanaf nu Hebreeuws....... Voorts mogen straks ook LGBT personen geweigerd worden in dorpen waar uitspuitend zionistische (ofwel: fascistische) joden wonen.....

Er werd gisteren internationaal veel gesproken over deze wetgeving en lullig genoeg had niemand in de reguliere media het lef te zeggen waar het op staat: Israël is nu officieel een fascistische apartheidsstaat..... Veel gedraai rond de pispot, maar te laf om de mond open te trekken en deze fascistische wetgeving keihard te veroordelen.......

Voorts zal de Israëlische regering met deze wetgeving het stichten van joodse nederzettingen (in illegaal bezet gebied op de West Bank) promoten en steunen........ En dan durven de westerse politici te zeggen dat men geen commentaar wil leveren op Israël om de 'vredesonderhandelingen' niet te frustreren......... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Op Radio1 was gisteren een vertegenwoordiger van Human Rights Watch (HRW) te horen, deze Jan Kooy* stelde in feite dat je nog niet kan spreken van apartheid in Israël en er zelfs nog sprake is van democratie...... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een ongelofelijk slappe zak, als je niet van apartheid kan spreken in Israël, wanneer kan je daar dan wel over spreken????? (niet meer doneren aan deze waardeloze organisatie mensen!)

Beste bezoeker, van onze politieke partijen moeten we het niet hebben, de meeste vertegenwoordigers daarvan zullen Israël zelfs nog steunen als ze voor de Palestijnen concentratiekampen zouden inrichten....... Laten we daarom bewegingen als BDS** steunen en alle producten uit Israël boycotten en producten waar de oorsprong niet op terug te vinden is, niet langer kopen!! 

We hebben intussen al te veel fascistische staten (beter: 'nazi-staten') gehad en lullig genoeg hebben we die nog steeds, tijd voor het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) haar werk een keer te doen en de leiders van Israël veroordeelt waarvoor ze staan: 

• massamoorden 
• martelingen, 
• oorlogsmisdaden
• het stelen van land
• het vasthouden van volwassenen en kinderen, zonder een vorm van berechting (al stelt de rechtspraak in Israël niets voor...)
• discriminatie van Palestijnen en Druzen
• grootschender van mensen- en kinderrechten
• het illegaal bezet houden van land, het vernietigen van enorm veel onroerend goed, zelfs als het betreffende pand bijvoorbeeld nog wordt bewoond
• het collectief straffen van Palestijnse families, als een wanhopige familielid bijvoorbeeld een Israëlische psychopathische soldaat aanvalt dan wel vermoord, een manier van straffen die NB door de SS werd vervolmaakt tijdens WOII........

Israel Passes ‘Nation State’ Law Enshrining Jewish Supremacy

(MEE) — Israel passed a law on Thursday giving Jews supremacy over all non-Jewish Israeli citizens, which critics and members of the state’s Palestinian minority called racist, likening the legislation to apartheid.

The “Nation State” law passed by a vote of 62-55 and two abstentions in the 120-member parliament after months of political argument. Following the vote Palestinian lawmakers shouted and tore up papers.

Parliament Speaker Yuli-Yoel Edelstein called on security to eject the Palestinian MPs, who were led out crying “You are racist”.

“This is a defining moment in the annals of Zionism and the history of the state of Israel,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, after the vote.

Hassan Jabareen, general director of Adalah, the Legal Centre for Arab Minority Rights in Israel (LCAMRI) , said the law features key elements of apartheid, which he said “is not only immoral but also absolutely prohibited under international law”.

“The new law constitutionally enshrines the identity of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people only – despite the 1.5 million Palestinian citizens of the state and residents of East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights – and guarantees the exclusive ethnic-religious character of Israel as Jewish,” he said.

“By defining sovereignty and democratic self-rule as belonging solely to the Jewish people – wherever they live around the world – Israel has made discrimination a constitutional value and has professed its commitment to favoring Jewish supremacy as the bedrock of its institutions.”

Mazin Qumsiyya, a writer and activist, told Middle East Eye that Israel was moving down a dark path.

“Colonial settler states like Israel move towards more and more extremism before they arrive at one of the three known outcomes of colonialism: the Algerian outcome (a two-tiered ethnic system), the Australian/USA outcome (genocide of natives), or the rest of the world model (coexistance in one pluralistic state),” he said.

“The Nation State law is written mostly for self-validation by racists who know the third outcome is inevitably arriving soon.”

Two Tiers

Less than 500 words long, the Nation State law accords exclusive “national self-determination” rights – the right to decide Israel’s national priorities, of both symbolic and practical importance – to Jewish people, wherever they may live, in Israel or abroad, and whether or not they even hold Israeli citizenship.

The law does not, notably, say that Palestinian and other non-Jewish citizens of Israel are entitled to equal treatment under the law.

The law also gives Hebrew superior status over Arabic, making the former the state’s only official language and demoting the latter to merely a language with a “special status”.

In effect, the Nation State law, which as a basic law holds constitutional power, means Israel’s ethno-religious character supersedes its democratic one.

The bill has been criticised by Palestinian citizens of Israel, liberal Jewish Israelis, Israel’s president and rights groups, some of whom have said the law would amount to apartheid.

“Twenty percent of the citizens will be discriminated against, by definition. What is that if not apartheid? This is racist and unprecedented legislation from a government that has lost all shame,” tweeted Joint List party chair Ayman Odeh earlier in the week, anticipating the law’s passage.

“This is a mortal wound for Arab citizens [of Israel], and for democracy, no less.”

Fellow Joint List lawmaker, Aida Touma-Suleiman, slammed the bill, saying it would “establish Jewish supremacy” and “wipe the word ‘equality’ from the political lexicon in the State of Israel.”

The Palestinian members of the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, were joined by Jewish liberal lawmakers and about 2,500 demonstrators on Saturday night, in a march through the main streets of downtown Tel Aviv to protest the bill.

Rights groups say Israel has been discriminating against its non-Jewish citizens ever since the state was founded in 1948, pointing to dozens of Israeli laws that mandate preferential treatment to Jews.

However, the law will have greater, more lasting impact as it enshrines a two-tiered system of rights in a basic law.

Coalition Concessions

While Netanyahu’s government has ignored the protests of Palestinian parliamentarians and left-leaning Zionist lawmakers, it altered the law’s language in recent weeks in order to secure common ground between the centre-right and far-right factions of the cabinet.

The far-right religious bloc insisted on altering a clause committing the government to “strengthen the affinity between the state and the Jewish people,” ensuring that it would only apply to foreign Jews. The religious parties feared that if, as in its original language, the bill applied to Israeli Jews as well, it would legitimate liberal streams of the Jewish religion, and weaken their own monopoly on issues of synagogue and state.

The centre-right members of Netanyahu’s coalition government worried that, were the law to include language which could be easily understood as enshrining racial discrimination into law, it could further sour Israel’s relations with the world’s western democracies, who are still its most important international allies and largest trading partners.

One clause in particluar, 7b, had attracted much concern from Israel’s allies and even its presidnet, Reuven Rivlin.

Clause 7b would have allowed Jewish-only communities, and said the “state can allow a community composed of people of the same faith or nationality to maintain an exclusive community”.

Rivlin condemned the clause, saying it would “allow any community to establish residential communities that exclude Sephardic Jews, Ultra-Orthodox people, Druze, LGBT people”.

Under such pressure and encouraged by the centre right, 7b was removed, with the article concerning Jewish settlement changed to: “The state views the development of Jewish settlement as a national value and will act to encourage and promote its establishment and consolidation” – mandating state support for Jewish-only communities.

However, MK Dov Khenin from the Joint List indicated that the new wording, which was drafted by ultra-nationalist Naftali Bennet, is even worse than the original.

“While the earlier wording pretended to be neutral, stating that separate communities were possible for each group, now the cat is out of the bag and it’s stating explicitly that only Jewish communities will get priority,” he said.

“This is a model of undisguised racism, suited only to corrupt rulers who have lost all shame.”

Prior to the law’s passing, over 900 locales in Israel – approximately three-quarters of all townships in the country – already forbade non-Jews from living within their municipal borders.

Sanctioning the state to diminish the property rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel is seemingly backed by widespread popular support. An Israel Democracy Institute poll published in November found that two-thirds of Israeli Jews believe that the right of Palestinian citizens of Israel to buy land in the country should be curtailed, while a quarter of Israeli Jews said any such purchases should be forbidden altogether.

In recent weeks, a family of Palestinian citizens of Israel who purchased a home in the northern city of Afula was protested by hundreds of locals, including the former mayor, who told local press, “’the residents of Afula don’t want a mixed city, but rather a Jewish city, and it’s their right. This is not racism.”

Adalah has panned the Nation-State law, saying it “discriminates against the Arabs in the fields of citizenship, property and land, language and culture, and justifies their inferiority in all spheres of life by excluding them from the political community that constitutes the sovereign in their homeland”.

“No country in the world today is defined as a democratic state where the constitutional identity is determined by ethnic affiliation that overrides the principle of equal citizenship,” the group said in a statement.
