Max Boot, promotor van de illegale oorlog tegen Irak is pissig dat Bernie Sanders kritiek levert op die oorlog

Als het om de VS gaat is niets te gek om je voorstellingsvermogen op de proef te stellen. Caitlin Johnstone bericht over Max Boot, een jammer genoeg invloedrijke 'neocon', die stelt dat hij heeft geleerd van de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak, een oorlog die hij ook als journalist fiks heeft gepromoot en waarvan hij nu toegeeft fout te hebben gezeten.

Dit halfslachtige excuus gebruikt hij nu om Bernie Sanders aan te vallen, Sanders één van de Democratische kandidaten die opgaat voor het VS presidentschap.... Sanders gebruikt de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Irak als voorbeeld om het volk duidelijk te maken dat de VS moet stoppen met haar terroristische interventies*, die keer op keer dood en verderf zaaien... Zo heeft de VS, met hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten, alleen deze eeuw al meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen vermoord, dan wel is verantwoordelijk voor de moord op die mensen......

Kortom Sanders heeft duidelijk een goed punt als hij de agressie van de VS aan de kaak stelt, agressie, of beter gezegd terreur die bovendien kapitalen kost. Echter niet in de ogen van Boot, die wil dat Sanders zijn mond moet houden over de Irak oorlog en moet toegeven dat hij wel eens fout zat, daar hijzelf ook al eens fout zat en dat heeft toegegeven.... ha! ha! ha! ha! Boot zat niet één keer fout, maar meerdere keren nam hij het op voor de VS terreur, die keer op keer was gebaseerd op leugens, verdraaiingen, false flag operaties en andersoortige desinformatie...... Hoe kan je stellen dat iemand wel fout moet zijn daar hij nooit heeft moeten toegeven fout te zijn geweest??? Krankzinnig!

Het is wel duidelijk dat ook de media in de VS al bezig zijn om de presidentsverkiezingen in november dit jaar te manipuleren en naar de hand van de machtigen te zetten..... Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard en Elizabeth Warren, zijn liberale (in de echte zin van het woord) presidentskandidaten van de Democraten, waar je bij Sanders zelfs kan spreken over een min of meer socialistische inslag. Voor deze drie kandidaten geldt dat de reguliere (massa-) media hen 'niet lusten', immers zij vormen een bedreiging voor het grootkapitaal en de neoliberale status quo die men zo angstvallig verdedigt in die media.... Uiteraard is e.e.a. ook gebaseerd op de anti-oorlogsstemming van deze 3 democratische kandidaten, immers oorlogsvoering is goed voor de aandelenportefeuilles van de eigenaren van die media: plutocraten en investeringsmaatschappijen.....    

Daarbovenop komen nog de enorme giften van de hier voor aangehaalde plutocraten en investeerders, figuren die niet alleen die reguliere media bezitten, maar ook grootaandeelhouders zijn van de wapenindustrie, de oliemaatschappijen, de financiële sector, dan wel farmaceutische industrie...... De giften van deze opperschoften bepalen uiteraard ook de politiek die de gewenste en betaalde kandidaat zal volgen (al geven ze zowel aan de Republikeinen als de Democraten), met andere woorden: de VS verkiezingen worden al vele decennia gemanipuleerd, niet vanuit Rusland, Iran, China of Noord-Korea, maar vanuit de VS zelf!!

There's so much going on in US politics right now that it's hard to know what to write about. With all the shouting about the election, impeachment, Trump's bogus Palestine "deal" and so many other important political issues competing for airtime with Kobe Bryant's death and coronavirus fear porn, it feels like we're already at white noise information saturation, and it's not even February yet. Things are going to get a whole lot noisier next month when the Democratic presidential primaries (and all the establishment manipulations that will necessarily accompany them) get underway, and Julian Assange's extradition trial begins.

One of the many interesting developments that I can pluck out of this cacophony to earn my keep here has been the hysterical response to Bernie Sanders' polling bump from the Bush-era neoconservatives who've been rehabilitated by a weird new alliance with the Democratic Party in the age of Trump. In just the last few days we've seen a deluge of smear pieces against Sanders published in mainstream news outlets by virulent "never-Trump" neocons Bret "Bedbug" Stephens, David "Axis of Evil" Frum, Jennifer "John McCain is too dovish" Rubin, and Max "The Case for American Empire" Boot.

Which has turned out to be a good thing so far, for two reasons. Firstly it has ripped off the mask of woke progressivism that these neoconservative war whores slapped on their faces three years ago to promote mass murder within the Democratic establishment's astroturf "Resistance" to Trump. Secondly it has educated an entire new generation of young voters about the evils of the Iraq invasion, and who helped facilitate it.

It is always a good sign when a bunch of pundits who push for increased military aggression at every opportunity are upset about the same thing, but I'm going to single out Max Boot here because his Bernie tantrum has been especially hilarious to watch.

In an article for The Washington Post titled "Bernie Sanders is ‘insanely consistent.’ That’s nothing to brag about.", Boot bizarrely decided to attack Sanders on the fact that he hasn't often had to admit that he's been wrong about things.

"But it is true that I’ve rethought my views on some important matters, such as the Iraq War, and started speaking out on issues such global warming, gun control and white privilege where reality conflicts with conservative dogma," Boot writes, adding that he can be trusted now “precisely because I have changed my mind. Don’t trust anyone who hasn’t.”

It is fascinating that Boot should choose consistency as a line of attack against Sanders, because he himself has been remarkably consistent throughout his entire career. He's just been consistent in the other direction.

Promoting fiendishly aggressive interventionist agendas everywhere from Iraq to Afghanistan to Libya to Syria to Iran to Russia, the former PNAC member Boot has been a leading narrative manager for some of the most catastrophically disastrous military interventions in living memory. He has not just promoted imperialist agendas which destroyed the lives of untold millions of human beings, but has also consistently promoted the pernicious underpinning philosophy of that imperialism as in his 2001 masterpiece "The Case for American Empire".

And that is the one and only reason Boot remains gainfully employed as a famous and widely circulated mainstream foreign policy analyst. He has no redeeming characteristics.

He is not smart. He is not charming. He is never, ever right about anything. He simply advocates for the deployment of expensive military equipment consistently and reliably.

The oligarchic media love that in a guy.

Boot, who has been giddy with excitement that his fellow traveller John Bolton has entered his side of the impeachment debate, wrapped up his unintentional self-parody by cheerleading Trump's regime change interventionism in Venezuela and the right-wing military coup in Bolivia. After its publication he quickly found himself under fire on Twitter by the Sanders campaign's David Sirota, who rightly criticized his forceful promotion of the Iraq invasion. Boot responded by whining that the "Bernie Bro" should accept his admission that Iraq was a mistake and forget about the whole thing.

"Me: I was wrong and I admit it, but I learned from it. Bernie should too. He’s been wrong about some stuff. Bernie Bro: You were wrong. Why should we listen to you?", Boot tweeted.

"LOL. Exactly," Jennifer Rubin responded.

And that just says so much about the coddled, insulated, completely unchallenged life that these mass media pundits are accustomed to, right there. To believe that you can help pave the way for a war that kills a million people based on lies and then years later say

"Oh yeah I made an oopsie with that one, I need a do-over" requires an unbelievable amount of entitlement and privilege, let alone to be able to self-righteously hold that admission up as some kind of superior virtue that is worthy of praise and deference.

You don't get to help murder a million people and then act indignant when people bring it up. That is not a thing. Your admission of wrongdoing does not undo the wrong that you did, and only someone who has been raised in a consequence-free environment their entire life could possibly believe that it would.

Hey Max? If you ever get tired of being completely wrong about everything, here’s a hot tip for you: maybe start with crossing off the idea that murdering a bunch of people is an ideal solution to every problem. Normal people don’t think that way. That’s why you’re wrong more often than any normal person. It really is that simple.

Nobody who promoted the unforgivable Iraq invasion should ever be listened to about anything for as long as they live. They certainly should not be elevated in prominent slots on mainstream news outlets. They should not even be able to find employment anywhere more glamorous than a McDonald's.

It is good that these people are exposing themselves, and it is good that more people are learning about the Iraq invasion. Nothing has ever been done to make right the unfathomable evils which were inflicted upon our species by that one horrific act, let alone the many other disastrous interventions which have been endorsed by Max Boot.

Let's all hope for a sane world where mass military slaughter is seen for what it is, and where war whores like Max Boot are seen for what they are, and where both of these things fade into obsolescence forever.

'Working-Class Joe' (Biden) gevloerd door Bernie Sanders

De smeerlap en democratisch kandidaat voor de presidentsverkiezingen in 2020, Joe Biden, leed onlangs een fikse nederlaag in een debat voor leiders van de vakbonden, waar de democratische presidentskandidaten zich uitspraken voor de vakbonden van de arbeiders en tegen 'corporate America', ofwel tegen de top van de bedrijven.

Bernie Sanders en Joe Biden (vice-president onder Obama) waren ook van de partij, Biden was zonder dat Sanders zijn naam hardop hoefde te noemen, behoorlijk de pineut. Sanders haalde een aantal zaken aan waar Biden voor had gestemd en die niet in het belang van de arbeiders waren...... Zo liet Sanders o.a. weten dat hij niet voor: 

• de oorlog tegen Irak had gestemd (Biden was voor, uiteraard destijds nog geen vice-president)
• de bailout ofwel voor de financiële redding van Wall Street had gestemd, zoals Biden wel deed
• de NAFTA deal was, waardoor veel banen van arbeiders verloren gingen, waar Biden 'uiteraard' voor was (zie de redding van Wall Street, zoals gezegd: uit hetzelfde foute straatje van Biden...)

Eerder op de dag had Biden laten weten niet voor Mediacare for All te zijn, een plan uit de koker van Sanders, dit daar arbeiders die verzekerd zijn via de bonden, daarmee die verzekering kwijtraken ten voordele van die gezondheidsverzekering van Sanders...... Alsof Medicare for All een slechtere verzekering zou zijn: juist door zoveel mogelijk mensen mee te laten doen, kan de verzekering goedkoper, mits het niet in handen van particuliere bedrijven valt (zie de ellende hier), maar dat is bepaald niet de verwachting met Sanders aan het stuur.

Biden liet de vakbondsleiders weten dat hij al lang in de politiek zit en dat hij altijd aan hun kant had gestaan, dit in schril contrast tot zijn goedkeuring van NAFTA en de 'bankruptcy bill', waarmee de creditcard bedrijven arbeiders met schulden kunnen leegkloppen.......

Het artikel hieronder komt van Money and Markets, een rechts mediaorgaan, vandaar de laatste opmerking in het artikel, waarin wordt gesteld dat Sanders weliswaar tegen de vrijhandelsverdragen had gestemd, maar dat er ook op hem wel het e.e.a. is aan te merken...... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Natuurlijk werden er geen voorbeelden bij genoemd, de zinsopbouw verraadde dat al. Echter er is inderdaad wel wat aan te merken op Sanders, bijvoorbeeld dat hij voor het wapenbezit is en dat hij bij de verkiezingen in 2016 Hillary Clinton steunde, terwijl hij wist wat een goor spel ze speelde..... Een spel waarbij ze op misdadige manier van Sanders de kans op verkiezing tot Democratisch presidentskandidaat heeft gestolen en waarvoor zij en haar campagneteam als dekmantel het foute leugensprookje Russiagate op de rails hebben gezet........ Ofwel Sanders steunde een presidentskandidaat die tot alles in staat is, dit alles uit foute loyaliteit voor de Democratische Partij......

Al geef ik onmiddellijk toe dat Sanders als president een verademing zal zijn voor de enorm grote onderlaag in de VS en hij waarschijnlijk geen oorlogen zal beginnen en daarmee een verademing voor de wereld zal zijn..... Tja, dat dachten we ook van Obama, de valse vredesduif en later weer van Trump..... Ik vrees dan ook dat dit soort lui eenmaal zittend op de stoel van president te horen krijgen dat ze zich niet te sterk moeten verzetten tegen de wil van het Pentagon, daar dit 'wel eens slecht kan uitpakken voor de gezondheid....'

Bernie Slams Biden’s Political Past; ‘Working-Class Joe’ Bites Back

The high-stakes fight for working-class voters moved to Pennsylvania on Tuesday as a slate of Democratic White House hopefuls vowed to use the power of the presidency to crack down on corporate America and strengthen organized labor.

But beneath all the agreement at the AFL-CIO conference, a feud between two leading candidates, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, began to spill out into the open. Neither mentioned the other by name onstage. Yet both moved to undermine the other’s credibility with a group of voters that may hold the key to the 2020 presidential election.

Sanders was the most aggressive when he ticked down a list of unpopular votes from Biden’s decadeslong record in politics as he faced hundreds of union members in a Philadelphia convention hall.

“Unlike some of the folks running for president, I did not vote for the war in Iraq, I did not vote for the Wall Street bailout, I did not vote for a terrible bankruptcy bill and, maybe most important, I did not vote for the disastrous trade policies like NAFTA,” Sanders declared.

Speaking to reporters afterward, the Vermont senator repeatedly called out Biden by his first name, charging that “Joe” has a long record of voting against the interests of the working class.

“All I wanted to do today was make it clear that in terms of the needs of working people, I don’t have a record I have to apologize for,” Sanders said.

Earlier in the day, Biden took a jab at Sanders by reminding union members that the health care plan championed by the Vermont senator — known as “Medicare for All” — would ultimately force union members from their private insurance plans to a government-backed system.

“In mine, you can keep the health insurance you bargained for if you like it,” Biden said.

The tension between the two leading candidates came during what organizers called a “workers’ presidential summit,” an event in downtown Philadelphia that gave the Democratic Party’s 2020 class an opportunity to speak to hundreds of union officials in a premier swing state.

Besides Biden and Sanders, the lineup featured Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, California businessman Tom Steyer, Ohio congressman Tim Ryan, and New York entrepreneur Andrew Yang. A handful of candidates, most notably Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, did not attend.

A Warren spokeswoman said she had “prior commitments” in New York, noting that she attended an AFL-CIO forum over the summer.

Arguably, no group of voters will play a more critical role in 2020 than those gathered at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Tuesday. Trump won the presidency on the backs of white working-class voters in Pennsylvania, Michigan in Wisconsin — three states that hadn’t supported a Republican for president in almost three decades before Trump.

Biden has built his decades-old political brand as a native of working-class Scranton, Pennsylvania. He reminded union members on Tuesday about his nickname “Working-class Joe” and called labor unions “the backbone of the country.”

“The bad news is I’ve been around a long time. The good news is that I’ve been around a long time. You know me. I’ve never not been with you,” Biden said.

Yet his long record in Washington gives his rivals in both parties ample political ammunition. Some conference attendees received flyers highlighting the low points of Biden’s record. And hours after Sanders lashed out at Biden, Sanders’ senior campaign aides reinforced the criticism on social media, leaving little doubt that the Philadelphia attack was not an isolated incident.

Responding to Biden’s statement that he’s always backed labor, Sanders’ campaign manager Faiz Shakir tweeted, “Pinocchio Joe.”

Sanders’ speechwriter David Sirota went further: “Joe Biden actively undermined Democrats and unions to help congressional Republicans pass NAFTA (which killed jobs) and the bankruptcy bill (which helped credit card companies crush workers with debt).”

The former Delaware senator is the only 2020 Democratic candidate who voted to support the North American Free Trade Agreement. As vice president, he helped implement a rescue package for the nation’s big banks. He also wrote a 2005 bankruptcy bill backed by credit card companies. And he is the only 2020 contender who voted in 2002 to authorize use of military force in Iraq; Sanders, then a member of the House, voted against the authorization.

Biden also supported the trade deal written by the Obama administration known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership that Trump ultimately killed once he took office.

Still, in the Senate, he voted against a number of trade deals, including those with Singapore, Chile and Oman.

Until Tuesday, there was little public tension between Sanders and Biden, although Sanders, like other Democratic contenders, has long hoped that Biden’s early advantages in the Midwest would ultimately fade because of his record on trade.

Sanders, by contrast, aggressively opposed the trade deals. That’s not to say Sanders does not have tough questions to answer of his own.

Bovenklasse ontloopt elke verantwoording, waar de onderlaag zoveel mogelijk verantwoordelijk wordt gehouden voor elke misstap

Je kent het wel, de grote ophef als er weer eens is gefraudeerd met uitkeringen, waar de media wel pap van lusten en ondanks dat dit gaat om een aanzienlijk bedrag, valt het volkomen in het niet bij wat de bovenlaag aan misdaden pleegt. Niet vreemd dus dat de eerste overtreders keihard worden aangepakt, waar de bovenlaag tegenwoordig overal mee wegkomt........ Zoals met belastingontduiking, jarenlang heeft men weggekeken van het ontduiken van de belastingen, terwijl dit voor particulieren gaat om een bedrag van rond de 20 miljard op jaarbasis, bij grote bedrijven gaat het zelfs om 30 miljard op dezelfde basis...... Zet dat eens af tegen de paar miljoen aan uitkeringsfraude.......

Kijk ook eens naar de kredietcrisis: een relatief kleine groep bankiers en topgraaiers van andere financiële instellingen hebben een groot deel van de wereld in diepe ellende gestort met de bankencrisis die in 2008 'losbrak'. Waar de onderlaag door deze crisis werd gestraft met huisuitzettingen, werkloosheid en diepe armoede, ontliepen de daders voor deze ellende onder de grote onderlaag, de bankiers elke vervolging......

De reguliere (massa-) media hebben de laatste 8 jaar vooral hun best gedaan om het gewone volk te laten geloven dat de banken zijn aangepakt, echter zeker in de VS (dat hier telkens weer als voorbeeld wordt aangehaald voor het aanpakken van de banken), is echter amper iets veranderd, sterker nog, vele deskundigen stellen dat we er door de banken weer precies zo voorstaan als in 2007......... Zij vragen zich dan ook niet af, of er snel een nieuwe recessie aankomt, door eenzelfde gebeurtenis als in 2008, maar op welke korte termijn die zal plaatsvinden........

Caitlin Johnson plaatste afgelopen zaterdag een artikel over dit soort zaken, waar ze ook de oliemaffia noemt als voorbeeld van superrijken, of plutocraten zo je wilt, die nooit ter verantwoording worden geroepen..... Neem olierampen, waar de afzonderlijke maatschappijen financieel voor moeten bloeden, dit met veel te lage schadevergoedingen en boetes (schikkingen), echter de verantwoordelijken, de topgraaiers van die maatschappijen, worden met rust gelaten, zoals je aan het woord 'schikking' al kon zien..... Men treft deze schikkingen zelfs voor zwaar misdadig gedrag, zoals onlangs weer met ING, waar je het als bijstandsgerechtigde wel kan vergeten dat je een schikking naar vermogen kan treffen met de autoriteiten als je € 50,-- extra inkomsten niet hebt gemeld....

Over een andere zaak, het klimaat verrampeneren en de natuurvernietiging door de verbranding van fossiele brandstoffen, worden de plutocraten van die oliemaatschappijen nooit ter verantwoording geroepen, zelfs als ze door eigen onderzoek al 40 jaar geleden wisten dat fossiele brandstoffen de huidige klimaatverandering veroorzaken en ze dit onder de pet hielden...... Sterker nog hetzelfde geteisem huurde 'wetenschappers' in om iedereen duidelijk te maken dat de klimaatverandering niets te maken heeft met de verbranding van fossiele brandstoffen........

Intussen worden de natuurrampen door de klimaatverandering steeds heftiger en eisen ze hun tol met een enorm aantal doden en gigantische schade (en dat veelal in arme landen of arme streken van landen, zoals die in staten van de VS)...... Doden die in feite werden vermoord door de top van de oliemaatschappijen, die zelfs niet willen spreken over donaties na ernstige natuurrampen..... Ook hier helpen de media mee om de topgraaiers van die bedrijven uit het middelpunt van de belangstelling te houden..... Sterker nog: men deinst er niet voor terug om deze topgraaiers als duurzaam neer te zetten...... Vergeet niet dat de eerste claims, een aantal decennia geleden, over een gaande zijnde klimaatverandering door de reguliere media werden afgedaan als lariekoek en leugens van 'ecoterroristen.....'

Diezelfde media helpen mee het volk onder de duim te houden en te zorgen dat men niet in opstand komt, dit door de manier van berichtgeving, dus de welgestelden en grote bedrijven worden zoveel mogelijk vrijgespeeld en door zaken als onvervangbaar of onveranderbaar neer te zetten....... Het tegenovergestelde kan overigens ook (wat betreft het laatste), neem de klimaatverandering nogmaals als voorbeeld, de media verkondigen dat het mogelijk is de temperatuurstijging binnen de 1,5 graad te houden, waar echte deskundigen stellen dat zelfs als we alle lamme plannen onmiddellijk zouden doorvoeren, wat overigens onmogelijk is, de temperatuur aan het eind van deze eeuw de 3 graden Celsius dik zal overstijgen.......* Tja het volk moet rustig worden gehouden.......

Klimaatsceptici die invloed uit kunnen oefenen dienen te worden aangeklaagd, met de leugens van dit tuig (als met de handelingen van oliemaatschappijen), komt het voortbestaan van de mens en een enorm aantal diersoorten in groot gevaar.......

In het artikel waarin Johnstone ook stelt dat vergeving geen antwoord is op zware misdaden van mensen aan de top, hun gedrag moet veranderen, echter dat zal niet gebeuren en daarom is er maar één mogelijkheid: ontslaan en nooit weer een bestuursfunctie geven!

Journalist David Sirota has just published an excellent op-ed titled "America's new aristocracy lives in an accountability-free zone", which begins with the observation that "Enron executives were among the last politically connected criminals to face any serious consequences for institutionalized fraud." Sirota goes on to remind readers how there was never any attempt by either mainstream political party to bring accountability to anyone responsible for monstrous offenses ranging from the disastrous invasion of Iraq to the ecocidal manipulations of fossil fuel plutocrats to the Wall Street plundering which led to the 2008 global financial crisis.

Sirota's argument is solid: there is an aristocratic class which has successfully neutered all the institutional mechanisms which were meant to protect the powerless from the powerful. The government is bought and owned by the plutocrats and so is the media, as the continued forgiveness of unforgivable transgressions which those institutions have been bestowing upon the aristocracy clearly reflects. This means that the only thing left protecting the populace from the powerful is the populace itself.

A couple of years back I read a Shaun King article titled "Stop asking black victims of white violence if they forgive their victimizers", about a bizarre trend in which the black survivors of police shootings and racially motivated terrorism were consistently finding themselves barraged with questions about forgiveness. King wrote about how "before her son, Philando, had even been buried, his body riddled with bullets from a Minnesota police officer, Valerie Castile was asked live on CNN if she forgave the man who shot him," which is a truly demented thing to ask someone in such a situation. Why would a newscaster bring up forgiveness when a horrific injustice has just been inflicted and no measures of any kind have even been taken to rectify it?

In response to the latest wave of sex scandals in the Roman Catholic Church, "masses of forgiveness" were held in August as a way to help the faithful in "healing" their distrust of the institution which has upheld itself as the highest moral authority in the world for two thousand years. “I beg forgiveness for these sins and for the scandal and betrayal felt by so many others in God’s family,” said Pope Francis at a Marian shrine in Ireland in response to the degradation and abuse inflicted upon the people of that nation by trusted Church officials.

The concept of forgiveness is a recurring theme in any abusive relationship, and necessarily so, because without extensive value being placed upon that concept there wouldn't be a relationship. You wouldn't have a battered wife, you'd have a story about how a woman's boyfriend hit her one time and she grabbed all her stuff and split. You wouldn't have a brainwashed and exploited cult member, you'd have a story about how someone met a group of people and left when things got weird. You wouldn't have a major world religion consistently embroiled in horrifying scandals, you'd have people dismissing that religion and placing their energy and attention elsewhere. You wouldn't have a society that constantly allows itself to be manipulated into consenting to abuse and exploitation by an aristocratic class, you'd have a people's uprising in which the vastly outnumbered elites are shrugged off and replaced with a system which benefits humanity.

Forgiveness is overrated. There are only two types of people who consistently promulgate the importance of forgiveness: abusers and their codependents. The abuse can range from pedophilia and battery to war and ecocide, and the codependency can range from a wife saying she fell down the stairs again to a newscaster demanding to know when the mother of a son just gunned down by police will forgive his murderer, but the formula remains the same in each instance.

Anyone who goes around around telling everyone else how important it is to forgive is either an abuser or one of their brainwashed Stockholm syndrome victims. Forgiveness is something you do for yourself, for your own benefit, when you are ready and only for freeing yourself from energetic entanglements. Those who have truly learned the value of authentic forgiveness don't run around telling other people to forgive those who have wronged them, because they understand that you don't need anyone else's help or permission to forgive somebody, and you don't even need anyone to change necessarily. If you really want to forgive someone so that you can move on and stop thinking about it, you can do so as long as they're not doing the bad thing to you anymore. They don't have to repent or admit to their wrongdoing or whatever; you can forgive them for being the thing they are just like you can forgive a man-eating bear for being a man-eating bear. If it would really benefit your inner peace and undo some mental chatter, you can zoom out and see that a human being's behavior is patterned like the veins in a leaf, and that patterning rarely changes. You unknowingly walked into that person's path as innocently as if you'd accidentally walked in front of a bus. Forgiving someone can just be letting go of the idea that they will change, or that they would've done anything different or would do anything different given the chance.

Once you've seen that though, you don't let them back in your life, and you certainly don't let them go on running the world. Man-eating bear be man-eating bear, man. You don't let a man-eating bear hang around long enough to eat another one of your children, and you don't let a neocon hang around long enough to destroy another middle-eastern country. You know what they do, you've seen what they are, and you don't let them do it anymore. Being lulled into a state of inertia with hypnotic entreaties about forgiveness and how we're all kinda fucked up and we all make mistakes and we're all the same is just another psychologically abusive manipulation performed by the abusers and their codependents. Some people in the highest echelons of power right now have facilitated the most extraordinary barbaric crimes on a scale that even the worst serial killer in his most horrifying fantasies could barely bring himself to imagine. Our greatest mistake as a species right now is forgiving them.

One major way that sociopaths differ from normal people is that they don't think about things in terms of feeling bad or feeling good about doing something, they just think about the consequences. If you don't feel guilt, you don't worry about feeling guilty. It literally doesn't factor into your decision-making process. "Oh, I won't do that again because I sure do feel bad about that million people I helped kill" is not a thought that ever goes through their head. If the consequences of Iraq were a buttload of profit and a regular spot on CNN with absolutely no downside whatsoever, no uncomfortable trip to the Hague, no endless prison sentence, no stripping of wealth, status and power, then of course they want to do it again and again and again and again and again. They will do it until they are stopped.

So America's new aristocracy must be stopped, and the only way they can be stopped is to be held to account, right here, on earth, as soon as humanly possible. Allowing them to go on for even one more day is acknowledging that there are no consequences for evil, and when there are no consequences for evil, evil will reign.

And that's where we are right now. Evil reigns, but it's a simple matter of restoring justice to the earth by the people taking their power back and standing in judgement of these pricks and making sure they do not do this again. Passing judgement on someone is an idea that makes good people feel uneasy, and that's deliberate. From the Pope down, we've been anesthetized with this mind-virus that in order to be good people we just put our head down, work hard, die poor, and let God do the judging. How convenient for power is that story? A little too convenient. Sold to us by the same people who rape children and sit on a throne of stolen riches.

I don't buy it anymore, and neither should you.

* Het Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change van de VN (IPCC) maakte gisteren bekend dat de wereld ernst moet maken van maatregelen om de klimaatverandering tegen te gaan, daar de stijging van de temperatuur met 1,5 graad al in 2050 gehaald zal worden...... Bij de VN denkt men verder dat men de klimaatverandering op die 1,5 graad Celsius kan houden, terwijl deze verandering van klimaat door diverse cumulatieve effecten, zoals het steeds meer verdwijnen van sneeuw en ijs, zal worden aangejaagd, waardoor nog meer sneeuw en ijs verdwijnt en de klimaatverandering verder wordt aangejaagd, enz. enz..... Hetzelfde geldt voor het ontdooien van de permafrost, waarbij grote hoeveelheden methaangas vrijkomen, methaangas één van de sterkste broeikasgassen op de wereld. Door toevoeging van grote hoeveelheden methaangas ontdooit er nog meer permafrost enz. enz..... (ook door methaangas uit 'onze veestapel' in de intensieve martelveehouderij, waar jaarlijks 500 miljoen dieren [!!] worden groot en doodgemarteld.....)
