De reden voor de grote droogtes: landbouw en veeteelt

WeMove Europe vestigt de aandacht op de klimaatverandering en op het EU 'parlement' dat zich de komende weken zal buigen over landbouwsubsidies, daaronder worden ook subsidies gerekend voor de veeteelt. Bijzonder vreemd dat WeMove Europe niet over die veeteelt spreekt....* Heb dan ook geen idee waar WeMove Europe in feite voor staat, immers een milieuorganisatie die niet weet dat m.n. de veeteelt de grote aanjager is van de klimaatverandering, is wat mij betreft geen knip voor de neus waard......

De schrijvers van de tekst voor de internet acties, Jörg en David van het WeMove Europe team, beschrijven de droogte in grote delen van Europa en geven aan dat de oorzaak daarvoor gezocht moet worden in de land- en tuinbouw (zoals gezegd exclusief de veeteelt). Uiteraard dragen ook de land- en tuinbouw bij aan de klimaatverandering, je hoeft alleen maar te kijken naar de teelt in kassen, waar men extra stookt, verlicht (deze beide zaken worden gesubsidieerd in ons land....) en gif gebruikt.... Gif niet alleen ter bestrijding van insecten die schade toebrengen aan gewassen**, of om 'onkruid' te bestrijden, maar ook om de grond te ontsmetten voor de nieuwe teelt, waarbij men in veel gevallen ook nog eens kunstmest gebruikt, dat voor extra vervuiling en verder aanjagen van de klimaatverandering zorgt......*** Uiteraard worden een aantal van deze zaken ook gebruikt in de reguliere landbouw.

WeMove Europe stelt dat de enorme subsidies voor de landbouw (nogmaals: exclusief de veeteelt) juist gebruikt moeten worden voor het verplicht stellen van verduurzaming van de land- en tuinbouw. (je wordt er werkelijk schijtziek van als je beseft dat het grootste deel van de EU subsidies naar de landbouw gaat.....) In de tekst worden ook een paar landen genoemd die enorm veel subsidie krijgen, zo bestaat het salaris van de landbouwers in Slowakije voor 88% uit EU subsidies..... Ook vreemd is het feit dat WeMove Europe niet spreekt over Frankrijk dat een aanzienlijk deel van de EU landbouwsubsidies opstrijkt en met haar macht in de EU elke subsidie hervorming voor de landbouw en veeteelt probeert tegen te houden.......

Zoals gezegd, de veeteelt is een nog veel grotere aanjager van de klimaatverandering, kijk alleen maar eens naar Nederland: op jaarbasis worden hier 500 miljoen dieren groot en doodgemarteld..... Deze arme dieren stoten een enorme hoeveelheid methaangas uit, een gas dat veel sterker de klimaatverandering aanjaagt dan CO2 en daarbij zorgt deze vorm van dierenmishandeling ook nog eens voor een gigantische stikstofuitstoot, o.a. ook al 'lekker' voor de klimaatverandering, hetzelfde geldt voor de hoeveelheid ammoniak die wordt uitgestoten door diezelfde veeteelt.......

Nogmaals vreemd dat WeMove Europe geen aandacht schenkt aan de veeteelt....

Het doel van WeMove Europe is wel te prijzen, dus lees de tekst ajb en doe mee aan de acties (zo gebeurd)! En geeft het door!

Tot slot wil ik nog opmerken dat ook de grote frisdrankfabrikanten, bierbrouwers enz. een enorm beslag leggen op de grondwatervoorraden, niet voor niets ook dat Grolsch haar bierbrouwerij in het verleden verplaatste van de Achterhoek naar Twente........ Nu worden deze gebieden al een paar jaar geconfronteerd met een grote droogte en zijn de grondwaterstanden in feite veel te laag..... Het is dan ook de hoogste tijd om paal en perk te stellen aan industrieel gebruik van grondwater, i.p.v. het sproeien van groen te verbieden, immers groene bomen en struiken nemen niet alleen CO2 op, maar zuiveren de lucht ook nog eens van fijnstof!!

Soil runs like sand through the farmer's hand. It turns to dust. After severe droughts over the last two years, it’s kicking in again. Germany, Italy, Poland and big parts of South-East Europe already show a massive rainfall deficit. [1] The first to get hit are farmers. Their crops have already dried up and it’s only May. [2]

We depend on our farmers a lot. They provide us with fresh food - every single day. But from farm to fork, food production heavily heats up the climate and contributes an estimated one quarter of all greenhouse gas emissions. [3]

Yet farmers get a lot of subsidies from the EU, regardless of the way they farm and its impact on the climate. Over the next few weeks, the European Parliament is debating what conditions the EU should link to farming subsidies. And that opens up the opportunity for us to make it very clear: We want farmers to get taxpayers' money only if they stop heating up the planet.

Imagine your pay slip showing how much of your salary comes from the EU. For a farmer in Germany it’s 40%, in Sweden it’s close to 60%, and it can even go up to 88% in Slovakia. [4] Most of these subsidies are given based on the size of land farmers work on. Nothing else.

Unfortunately, far too many farmers stick to bad methods of farming: polluting us with pesticides, killing bees and birds and heating up the atmosphere. We urgently need them to transition to sustainable farming without chemical fertilisers and weedkillers. Sustainable farming emits lower levels of greenhouse gases and is better suited for droughts. [5]

The European Parliament is now shaping what the policies that cover farming in Europe (Common Agriculture Policy or CAP for short) will look like for the next seven years. The importance of CAP becomes obvious when you look at the huge amount of money we are talking about. It’s the biggest part of the European budget - 58 billion Euros a year [6] - which is the national income of Bulgaria. [7]

Writing now to your MEPs is the best moment. They have to agree in June on a proposal which will be voted on in autumn. And we want a proposal giving priority to climate and biodiversity, helping farmers in the EU to better withstand the droughts of the future. That is what we need you to add your voice to.

Verder worden de insecten in de Nederlandse tuinbouw veelal op biologische manier bestreden, echter in grote delen van Europa waar men teelt in kassen, worden zaken als gif en grondontsmetting wel op gigantische schaal toegepast.....

PFAS vergiftiging grondwater in delen van Californië

WorldBeyond War (WBW) brengt o.a. een artikel waarin het leger van de VS wordt aangewezen als schuldige voor PFAS vergiftigingen van waterbronnen, iets waar wij in Nederland wat betreft de PFAS crisis geen of veel te weinig aandacht voor hebben gehad, immers de niet afbreekbare PFAS chemicaliën belanden uiteindelijk in het grondwater en het is maar de vraag of de waterzuiveringsinstallaties deze verontreiniging kunnen verwijderen uit het water dat wij drinken......

In Californië zoals gezegd vervuiling door jarenlange oefening met foute blusvloeistoffen/poeders door het Amerikaanse leger, dat zo nogmaals en geheel ten overvloede nog eens laat zien, dat het niet alleen in het buitenland, maar ook binnenlands terreur uitoefent......

Nog een 'mooi feitje': ook de PFAS vergiftiging van grond in ons land is voor een fiks deel terug te brengen op een blusvloeistof/poeder, waar al in de 70er jaren van de vorige eeuw over bekend was dat ze o.a. kanker veroorzaken, ofwel ook in Nederland moet men hebben beseft dat deze stoffen gevaarlijk zijn voor de volksgezondheid (uit het artikel van WBW blijkt dat men dit inderdaad al in de 70er jaren wist!!!).... Toch is men in de VS gewoon doorgegaan met het gebruikt van deze stoffen en hetzelfde moet hier zijn gebeurd........

In het artikel van WBW dat ik overnam wordt m.n. over 1 plek in Californië bericht, echter daar zijn veel meer van deze plakken te vinden, waar het grondwater al is verontreinigd met een aantal gevaarlijke PFAS chemicaliën en zoals de schrijver van het artikel terecht opmerkt: alle chemicaliën in PFAS zijn gevaarlijk!! (zie ook de lijst met aandoeningen in het artikel hieronder, aandoeningen die je over kan houden aan PFAS inname of anders gezegd: vergiftiging met PFAS chemicaliën) 

In Nederland passen we nu de normen aan, zodat er meer PFAS chemicaliën in de grond mogen zitten als men deze grond wil verplaatsen of op andere manier wil gebruiken......* Te zot voor woorden en levensgevaarlijk!

PFAS Contamination Near George Air Force Base Threatens Public Health

The groundwater in Victorville and throughout much of California is contaminated with PFAS, the “forever chemicals.”

On September 10, 2018 the Lahontan Regional Water Board tested the well water of the home owned by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Culberton located at 18399 Shay Road in Victorville, California. The water was found to contain high levels of 25 separate PFAS chemicals, several that are known to be human carcinogens. Culberton’s home is a few hundred feet from the eastern boundary of the shuttered George Air Force Base.

Culberton declined to be interviewed so we’ll rely on the public record. The letter he received from the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board on February 11, 2019 states:

“Based on the Air Force’s interview with you, we understand that you and your tenant use bottled water as your water source, and this well is being used only for irrigation purposes. 
 The comparison of the combined PFOS and PFOA concentration with USEPA’s concentration level (see the table below) suggests that this well water may not be suitable for human consumption as it exceeds the lifetime HA level.”

The house next door, located at 18401 Shay Road, was found to have a similarly contaminated well. The property was sold on June 19, 2018 to Matthew Arnold Villarreal as sole owner. The transfer took place three months before the well was tested by the water board. Villarreal is the Water Supply Supervisor of the City of Victorville Water Department. 

The level of contaminants of other private wells in the vicinity of George AFB is unknown.
George Air Force Base, which shut down in 1992, used aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) in routine fire training exercises, along with nearly 50 other bases in the state. Per- and poly fluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, are the active ingredient in the foams, which were allowed to leach into groundwater and surface water.

Despite knowing since the 1970’s that the practice threatened human health, the military continues to use the chemicals at installations in the U.S. and around the world.

Groundwater collected on September 19, 2018 at Production Well Adelanto 4 Victorville, near the intersection of Turner Road and Phantom East, also showed the presence of dangerous levels of various PFAS chemicals. The notice from the Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) was addressed to: Ray Cordero, Water Superintendent, City of Adelanto, Water Department.

According to the October, 2005 George AFB Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) Adjournment Report, groundwater plumes containing contaminants had not
migrated into drinking water wells or in the Mojave River. “The drinking water in the community continues to be safe for consumption,” according to the final report.

People in the community have likely been drinking poisoned water for two generations. Restoration Advisory Boards have been criticized for trivializing severe environmental contamination caused by the military while serving to track and contain community resistance.

Culberton’s water puts the PFAS epidemic into perspective. The following chart is taken from the water board’s letter to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Culberton:

The 25 PFAS compounds found in the Culberton well totaled 940 parts per trillion (ppt.) 
Neither the federal government nor the state of California track or regulate contamination in private wells. Meanwhile, public health scientists have warned of the cumulative effect of these carcinogens. The nation’s top public health officials say 1 ppt of PFAS in drinking water is potentially dangerous. The NIH’s National Library of Medicine provides a brilliant search engine that provides the toxicological effects of the contaminants above, along with others regularly found in our drinking water and environment.

Many of the substances are harmful if they come into contact with the skin. Simply click on the link to the NIH site above to begin the process of investigating the disastrous impacts on human health. Some of these chemicals are used with pesticides as the active ingredient for ant bait traps. In addition, many PFAS chemicals described above either cause or contribute to the following conditions:

• Alterations in thyroid hormone levels, especially in in aging populations
• Death from cerebrovascular disease
• Increased serum cholesterol and triglycerides levels
• Positive association between PFAS levels and ADHD
• Maternal PFAS levels in early pregnancy were associated with smaller abdominal circumference and birth length.
• Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
• Positive association between the maternal concentrations of PFOA and the number of episodes of common cold for the children
• Increased episodes of gastroenteritis.
• Mutations of DNA
• Increased levels of prostate, liver and kidney cancer
• Liver and brain dysfunction
• Airway inflammation and altered airway function
• Male reproductive disorders
• Hypoactive response to nicotine
  

At the risk of beating the dead horse mutagen, two of the most prevalent PFAS contaminants in Culberton’s water – PFHxS (540 ppt) and PFHxA (72 ppt) are extraordinarily present in California’s municipal water wells used for drinking water. Neither the federal government nor the state seem too concerned with these contaminants. Instead, they’re fixated on just two of the 6,000 types of PFAS chemicals – PFOS & PFOA – which are no longer produced or used.

On February 6, 2020 the California State Water Resources Control Board (CSWRCB) lowered its “Response Level” to 10 parts per trillion (ppt) for PFOA and 40 ppt for PFOS. If a water system exceeds the response levels for these carcinogens, the system is required to take the water source out of service or provide public notification within 30 days of the confirmed detection. Meanwhile, of the 568 wells tested by the state in 2019 164 were found to contain PFHxS and 111 contained PFHxA.

Specifically, PFHxS has been detected in umbilical cord blood and is transmitted to the embryo to a larger extent than what is reported for PFOS. Prenatal exposure to PFHxS is associated with occurrence of infectious diseases, such as ottis media, pneumonia, RS virus, and varicella in early life.

PFHxA exposure may be associated with Gilbert Syndrome, a genetic liver disorder, although the material has not been widely studied. The following charts detail the state’s water systems with the highest levels of PFHxS and PFHxS in wells used for drinking water, based on the very limited 2019 data:

Keystone XL pijpleiding door Trump alsnog afgebouwd, ondanks enorme lekken in de eerdere Keystone 1 pijpleiding

Ondanks een zoveelste lek in de oudere Keystone1 pijpleiding, waarbij meer dan 4 miljoen liter olie (380.000 gallon) verdween in een belangrijk natuurgebied, is Trump vastbesloten de veel grotere Keystone XL pijpleiding af te laten bouwen...... Overigens bepaald niet het eerste lek in deze pijpleiding en andere oliepijpleidingen in de VS....*

Schijt aan de natuur, schijt aan de dieren die daarin leven en vooral voor de zoveelste keer schijt aan de rechten van de oorspronkelijke volkeren ('indianen') van Noord-Amerika...... Eerst bijna uitgemoord (de grootste genocide ooit, die op de oorspronkelijke volkeren van de 3 Amerika's), daarna gedwongen, onder legerbegeleiding en dat soms in dodenmarsen, naar andere gebieden waar men mocht leven, totdat er delfstoffen werden gevonden, of simpelweg omdat witte misdadige Europeanen die grond wilden hebben, werden deze mensen vermoord of met veel geweld weer weggejaagd..... Daarna werden dan weer nieuwe gebieden aangewezen, waar ze nu ook weer worden verjaagd en waar men zeer tegen de zin van deze volkeren lekkende pijpleidingen over voor hen heilige grond en door heilige wateren heeft aangelegd en nog steeds aanlegt zoals in Canada en de VS...... Aan de ellende van deze mensen komt maar geen eind...... (en ook dat geldt voor de 3 Amerika's)

This was just the most recent in a series of more than a dozen leaks and spills, yet President Trump remains determined to approve the proposed and larger Keystone XL pipeline—spills be damned. Of course, we know that the Trump administration will do whatever it can to force this pipeline through, but despite their efforts, the Keystone XL pipeline remains mired in legal battles. This public comment period presents a key opportunity to support future lawsuits against the pipeline by showing just how many people don’t want this pipeline to be built. Any written public opposition to the pipeline could be extremely useful in legal cases where landowners and impacted communities can quantify existing opposition to Keystone XL in the courts.

The new route proposed for the Keystone XL pipeline would threaten to pollute the water intakes for over 30,000 Montanans. And last week, the already-operating original Keystone Pipeline, to which the XL is a proposed extension, leaked once again for the twentieth time, coating over 300,000 gallons of crude oil across wetlands in North Dakota.

In addition, as we’ve known since it was first proposed, the Keystone XL pipeline would be a climate disaster. Given the severity of the climate crisis, the last thing we should be doing is building new pipelines to ship dirty tar sands for export around the world.

Bij de labels vind je ook DAPL, dit staat voor de Dakota Access Pipeline, al evenzeer een slag in het gezicht van de oorspronkelijke volkeren in de VS, een misdaad tegen de natuur en de mens.... Tegen deze pijpleiding was een paar jaar geleden groot verzet, al in 2017 lekte deze pijpleiding olie......... (zie ook de links hierboven)

Beste bezoeker, dit was het voor vandaag, morgen meer berichten, maak er een mooie dag van als het even mogelijk is.

Nestlé sleept kleine stad voor het gerecht

Ontving afgelopen zaterdag een noodoproep geschreven door Angus Wong van SumOfUs.

Het bedrijf Nestlé dat al een reputatie heeft van kinderarbeid, zware uitbuiting van andere arbeiders, een bedrijf dat gebruik maakt van palmolie waarvoor oerwoud wordt gekapt of nog simpeler: in de fik wordt gestoken, een bedrijf dat het niet nauw neemt als het gaat om landbouwgif op haar producten, welnu dit bedrijf heeft een kleine stad uit Michigan voor het gerecht gedaagd....

Nestlé gebruikt letterlijk de grondwatervoorraad op van Osceola, zoals de stad heet en daar wil het bestuur van de stad een eind aan maken, daarom heeft Nestlé een klacht ingediend tegen deze stad..... Op 10 december 2018 schreef ik al eens een bericht over deze zaak*, waar een nieuw stadsbestuur een eind wilde maken aan een belachelijk contract dat door corruptie tot stand is gekomen, met dat contract in de hand mag Nestlé de enorme hoeveelheid van 1,3 miljoen liter water per dag oppompen en dat voor het schunnige bedrag van $ 200 per jaar...... Zo'n overduidelijk bewijs voor zware corruptie kom je maar zelden tegen!! En dit alles in een land dat bijna continu een grote bek heeft over corruptie in andere landen, die grote bek is als zoveel commentaar van de VS op buitenlanden, ongelofelijk hypocriet en totaal ongeloofwaardig.....

Gezien de steeds verder oprukkende uitputting van grondwater in grote delen van de VS, is het te schandalig voor woorden dat grote bedrijven weg kunnen komen met dergelijke middels corruptie tot stand gekomen contracten (een uitputting van de hoeveelheid grondwater, juist door dit soort corrupte afspraken en het enorme gebruik van water in rijke [buiten-] wijken van de VS waar iedereen of bijna iedereen een zwembad in de tuin heeft......) 

Niet moeilijk te bedenken dat wanneer de grondwatervoorraad van Osceola bijna is uitgeput, bewoners zich helemaal scheel moeten betalen aan zo iets simpels als water uit de kraan..... De droogtes door de klimaatverandering zorgen er ook nog eens voor dat de grondwatervoorraden slinken.....

Osceola, bestaat uit 2.000 mensen en heeft uiteraard niet de middelen om een rechtszaak met succes te voeren tegen een bedrijf dat een leger advocaten heeft en middelen heeft waar bijvoorbeeld een stad als Rotterdam alleen maar van kan dromen.....

Overigens is dit nog maar één van de vele plekken op aarde waar Nestlé het grondwater opmaakt en daarbij de bevolking zwaar tekort doet......

Hier het eerste wat je te zien krijgt op de site van Nestlé: Nestlé Good Food Good Life........ (cynischer kan het niet en deze achterlijke leus geldt zoals je begrijpt niet voor degenen die door Nestlé en corrupte overheidsdienaren worden besodemieterd....)

Nog een tekst en die gaat over het door Nestlé in feite gestolen water: 'Nestlé Waters is opgericht in 1992. Inmiddels heeft Nestlé Waters 95 productielocaties in 34 landen. Vandaag de dag werken er circa 33.700 werknemers aan een portfolio van 49 unieke merken. Nestlé Waters innoveert constant, om te voldoen aan de verwachtingen van consumenten over de hele wereld.......' 'Om te voldoen aan de verwachting van de consument' en dan van degenen die niet worden bestolen door Nestlé dat er geen moeite mee heeft om gebruik te maken van corruptie........

Dat was het nog niet beste bezoeker:

Sinds de oprichting streeft Nestlé Waters ernaar om altijd het voortouw te nemen om de milieu-impact van zijn activiteiten te beheersen. Sterker nog, als wereldwijde leider op het gebied van gebotteld water, heeft Nestlé Waters van duurzaam watergebruik een topprioriteit gemaakt.

Wat een stel smeerlappen, gadver! 'Duurzaam watergebruik' ten koste van de mensen die in de gebieden wonen die Nestlé leegzuigt en dat in een wereld die meer en meer te maken heeft met grote tekorten aan drinkwater.......

Je snapt werkelijk waar Nestlé het gore lef vandaan haalt om in verweer te gaan tegen gemeenschappen als die van Osceola, je zou denken dat een rechter korte metten met dit bedrijf zou maken en een diepgaand onderzoek zou gelasten naar corruptie, maar ja, het gaat om de VS, een vereniging van staten die bijna niets meer te maken hebben met eerlijke, onafhankelijke rechtspraak.....


Hier wat producten van Nestlé: Maggi, Original Wagner, Garden Gourmet, NESTLÉ PyjamaPapje, Yogolino en Dreumesmelk, NESCAFÉ, NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto, NESTLÉ Hot Chocolate Mix , NESQUIK, BONZO, FELIX, Purina ONE, GOURMET,  After Eight, Lion, Crunch, Nestlé Chocolait Chips, Smarties, Nestlé Caramac, Quality Street, Nestlé Waters en dan krijgen we Nestlé Health Science (ha! ha! ha!): Resource, Clinutren, Isosource, Novasource, Impact, en Peptamen (volgens mij zijn er nog meer producten van deze oplichters, maar de hier getoonde zijn wel de belangrijkste). De namen heb ik gevonden op https://www.nestle.nl/brands

Als je geld teveel hebt stort dan ajb wat en boycot de producten van dit bedrijf, alternatieven genoeg.
