Clinton, Albright en Clark vereerd voor illegale oorlog tegen Servië en de Servische bevolking van Kosovo

Deze week wordt de intocht van de NAVO in Kosovo herdacht. De intocht na de illegale bombardementen van de VS met de NAVO aan de hand op zelfs burgerdoelen in het Servië van Milosevic, wat zoals je begrijpt ernstige oorlogsmisdaden zijn....... (zelfs de Chinese ambassade werd gebombardeerd, zogenaamd per ongeluk...)

Oorlogsmisdadigers Clinton, Albright en oud-VS-generaal Clark (destijds opperbevelhebber van de NAVO) worden geëerd voor het begaan van die misdaden en dat op grond van de enorme leugen dat Servië bezig was met etnische zuiveringen in Kosovo en daar slachtingen aanrichtte, slachtingen die na onderzoek werden toegewezen aan etnisch Albanese terreurgroepen als het UÇK.......

Het ingrijpen van de NAVO (zoals gezegd o.l.v. de VS) was de opmaat naar een wel echte etnische zuivering van de Serven in Kosovo, e.e.a. resulteerde zelfs in een pogrom tegen deze Serven in maart 2004...... Er wonen nu nog amper Serven in Kosovo, terwijl zij vele honderden jaren in deze Servische provincie woonden en de Albanezen die in de loop van de tijd op de vlucht gingen (zoals voor de 'communistische' dictatuur) ruimhartig toelieten tot hun grondgebied......

De Serven die nog in Kosovo wonen hebben regelmatig met geweld en pesterijen van etnische Albanezen te maken, een zaak waar het westen zich niet druk over maakt......... Sterker nog: gevluchte Serven uit Kosovo worden niet toegelaten tot de EU.......



De Servische president Milosevic werd onterecht veroordeeld door het Joegoslavië Tribinaal (nu genaamd: Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia), hij stierf in de Scheveningse gevangenis, later werd hij o.a. door hetzelfde tribunaal vrijgesproken van zogenaamde oorlogsmisdaden......... En zoals je kon lezen, i.p.v. vast te zitten in Scheveningen na een veroordeling door dit waardeloze tribunaal, worden in Kosovo de zware oorlogsmisdadigers Clinton, Albright en Clark geëerd voor hun vreselijke daden.....

Venezuela: VS ministerie van BuZa publiceert per ongeluk een lijst met sadistische terreurdaden tegen het Venezolaanse volk

Toch altijd weer leuk als de VS op haar eigen duivelse gevorkte staart gaat staan en daarmee ten overvloede nog eens aantoont dat we hier met een terreurentiteit te maken hebben van gigantische proporties, die niets maar dan ook helemaal niets uit de weg gaat om haar smerige doelen te bereiken.....

Zo dook er enige tijd geleden een folder van de CIA op waarin staat te lezen hoe je als oppositie je land naar de knoppen kan helpen om zo het volk tot opstand te dwingen tegen het land van keuze, in dit geval was dat land Nicaragua.......*

The Grayzone wist de hand te leggen op een lijst met gevolgen van ingrijpen in Venezuela, door het VS ministerie van BuZa op de site gezet en daarna weer verwijderd, niet voor niets verwijderd, immers het gaat hier om dezelfde soort informatie die je op WikiLeaks kan vinden en waarvoor Julian Assange wordt vervolgd......

Duidelijk is dat de VS zich ziet als organisator van de niet eindigende couppoging in Venezuela, waar de VS de voor de Venezolanen tot dan onbekende fascist Guaidó als interim-president heeft geparachuteerd, waarbij men de leugen lanceerde dat Guaidó de oppositieleider is van Venezuela..... (terwijl hij de voorzitter is van een kleine, onbeduidende partij...)

Voorts wordt er opgeschept over de zaken die Guaidó, de totaal lamme en illegale 'interim-president' van Venezuela, al voor elkaar heeft gekregen...... Onzinnige zaken, waar in werkelijkheid het Venezolaanse volk onder regie van de VS wordt bestolen van haar tegoeden in het buitenland en waar men trots vertelt dat de oliewinning met een enorm aantal vaten is gedaald, daar Venezuela van terreurentiteit VS geen olie mag verkopen....... Met deze zaken begaat de VS een zware overtreding van artikel 33 van het Verdrag van Genève......

De olievoorraad van Venezuela zou de op één na grootste ter aarde zijn, deze olievoorraad is dan ook de belangrijkste reden voor de VS om haar marionet Guaidó op de plaats van Maduro te willen zetten..... (voorts heeft Venezuela grote voorraden Coltan, een belangrijke grondstof voor smartphones....) Guaidó heeft al beloofd dat wanneer hij president zal zijn, de Venezolaanse olie voor de VS oliemaffia zal worden gereserveerd.....** (waarin hij het woord 'maffia' uiteraard niet noemde)

De VS is er zelfs trots op dat het de economie van Venezuela naar de kloten heeft geholpen, waarmee deze vereniging van terreurstaten nog eens fijntjes aangeeft waarom het economisch zo slecht gaat in Venezuela >> de terreursancties van de VS...... Weet je wat de reguliere media ons al jaren laten geloven? Maduro heeft de economie om zeep geholpen, je weet wel van die media die keer op keer de bek open hebben over fake news (nepnieuws) en manipulatie..... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

US State Department publishes, then deletes sadistic Venezuela hit list boasting of economic ruin

The Grayzone has obtained a list of “key outcomes” on Venezuela deleted out of apparent embarrassment by the State Department. It boasts of wrecking the nation’s economy, destabilizing its military, and puppeteering its political opposition.

On April 24, six days before self-proclaimed Venezuelan “interim president” Juan Guaido’s attempt to violently overthrow Venezuela’s democratically elected government alongside a handful of military defectors, the U.S. State Department published a fact sheet that boasted of Washington’s central role in the ongoing coup attempt. After realizing the incriminating nature of its error, the State Department quickly acted to remove the page.

The Grayzone has obtained a full copy of the expunged report. The deleted page puts to bed any claims of Guaido’s independence from Washington, as the State Department emphasizes the fact that he “announced his interim presidency… in January” at the the top of a section dedicated to breaking down “key outcomes” of U.S. efforts with regard to Venezuela.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Kimberly Breier recently took to Twitter to claim that “since he became acting president, Juan Guaido has given tangible results to the people of Venezuela.” Her tweet was accompanied with an infographic detailing alleged accomplishments of the powerless coup administration based on data compiled by the legally defunct National Assembly, the only governing body actually controlled by Guaido.

But the Venezuela fact sheet posted and then deleted days earlier by the State Department told a dramatically different story.

The State Department’s economic hit list

Entitled “U.S. Actions on Venezuela,” the document boasted that U.S. policy had effectively prevented the Venezuelan government from participating in the international market and has led to the freezing of its overseas assets. It read like a sadistic celebration of Washington’s retribution against the Venezuelan population as a whole, the kind of collective punishment which is illegal according to Article 33 of the Geneva Conventions.

The State Department gloated in the deleted fact sheet that its policy had ensured that the Maduro government “cannot rely on the U.S. financial system” to conduct business, noting “key outcomes” of U.S. actions include the fact that “roughly $3.2 billion of Venezuela’s overseas are frozen.” It went on to boast that “Venezuela’s oil production fell to 736,000 barrels per day in March… substantially reducing” government revenue.

“If I were the State Department I wouldn’t brag about causing a cut in oil production to 763,000 barrels per day — which is a 36 percent drop, in just the two months of February and March this year,” Mark Weisbrot, Co-Director at the Center For Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), told The Grayzone. “This means even more premature deaths than the tens of thousands that resulted from sanctions last year.”  

Weisbrot recently co-authored a bracing report which found that 40,000 Venezuelans died between 2017 and 2018 as a direct result of U.S. sanctions. The State Department patted itself on the back for announcing its preparedness “to provide an additional $20 million in initial humanitarian assistance” to Venezuela, however, the CEPR report concluded that Trump Administration sanctions implemented in August 2017 resulted in “a loss of $6 billion in oil revenue over the ensuing year” alone.

While the State Department praised the opposition for “providing medical and hygiene attention to over 6,000” Venezuelans, those numbers dwarf in comparison to the 300,000 people CEPR “estimated to be at risk because of lack of access to medicines or treatment… [including] 80,000 people with HIV who have not had antiretroviral treatment since 2017, 16,000 people who need dialysis, 16,000 people with cancer, and 4 million with diabetes and hypertension.”

In other words, the supposed “Venezuela Crisis Response Assistance” touted by the State Department is not even a band-aid over the gaping wound that US unilateral coercive measures have inflicted on the country.

In Weisbrot’s view, the “policy” and “outcomes” promoted by the State Department in the disappeared document will merely lead to “more cuts in imports of medicine, food, medical equipment, and inputs necessary to maintain water, health, and sanitation infrastructure.”

Having denied the Venezuelan government the ability to provide for its own population, the U.S. has essentially promised that thousands more deaths will occur.

The State Department did not respond to The Grayzone’s request for a comment on the fact sheet it deleted.

“A list of confessions”

In a recent interview with The Grayzone, Venezuela’s ambassador to the United Nations Samuel Moncada characterized the deleted State Department fact sheet as “a list of confessions.”

“Imagine if any other country says… it’s proud of saying that we are destroying the economy of our neighbor; we are proud that we destroyed the political system of our neighbor; we are proud that they are suffering. They are saying we are waging war against Venezuela,” Moncada emphasized.

The ambassador went on to accuse the U.S. of engaging in “bullying” rather than international diplomacy.

The State Department’s own fact sheet appears to support this accusation, as it asserts “diplomatic pressure resulted in fewer markets for Venezuelan gold.” The document further highlighted U.S. actions that have supposedly led “more than 1,000 members of the military [to recognize] Juan Guaido as interim President” and defect to Colombia, as well as stranding “an estimated 25 crude oil tankers with 12 million barrels” off Venezuela’s coast.

“They [say] it’s our ‘key’ achievements,” Moncada commented. “They are saying that they are causing trouble in our military and inducing a military coup, [which] so far they haven’t achieved, but they are working towards.”

“If any other person says that themselves,” the ambassador concluded, “and you take that confession to court, they would be in prison.”

The State Department’s fact sheet even frames recent decisions by the Organization of American States, Lima Group, Inter-American Development Bank, and European Union to either recognize or support Guaido’s shadow administration as a U.S. achievement, highlighting Washington’s outsized influence within each of these supposedly international governing bodies. The decision to mention the E.U. and Lima Group is particularly noteworthy considering the United States is not a member of either organization.

“They are so far out of any normal parameters of decency, morality, legality, reason, that really they are dangerous,” Moncada said of the Trump administration. “They are a real threat to international peace, and they are a real threat to my people.”

Trump vermoordde al 40.000 Venezolaanse burgers

Caitlin Johnstone publiceerde een artikel op haar site n.a.v. een studie gedaan door het Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), waaruit de conclusie is getrokken dat rond de 40.000 Venezolanen zijn omgekomen door de sancties van de Trump administratie. Een beetje te snel door de bocht, als je het mij vraagt, daar onder Obama al een geheime economische oorlog werd gevoerd tegen het regime van Maduro.....* Alles bij elkaar, dus inclusief de periode dat Obama aan het bewind was, zijn er heel wat meer slachtoffers gevallen dan de genoemde 40.000.....

Overigens is de verwachting dat het aantal doden verder zal stijgen, daar de Trump administratie de sancties tegen Venezuela in januari dit jaar heeft vergroot........

In een aantal punten geeft Johnstone weer hoe de situatie door de VS sancties is verslechtert voor de bevolking in Venezuela en dat de sancties niet doen waar ze zogenaamd voor bedoeld waren: de top van de Venezolaanse regering en het leger treffen, de groepen die wel worden getroffen zijn de zwakste in de bevolking van Venezuela, waarvoor Johnstone een aantal groepen aanwijst.....

Volkomen terecht concludeert Johnstone dat deze, in feite oorlogsvoering tegen de bevolking van Venezuela, ingaat tegen het Verdrag van Genève en het Verdrag van Den Haag, waar dit soort sancties worden gezien als een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad, beide verdragen zijn door de VS ondertekend......

Zoals je ongetwijfeld weet is dit soort oorlogsvoering door de VS erop gericht de bevolking ontevreden te maken en dat men in dit geval het aftreden van Maduro zal eisen, deze opzet is gelukkig niet geslaagd, zoals deze ook in Syrië niet heeft gewerkt. Schandelijk dat dit VS spel in beide gevallen tot een enorm aantal doden heeft geleid.......

Johnstone vergelijkt e.e.a. met de oorlog tegen Libië en die tegen de sjiitische bevolking van Jemen, oorlogen waarvoor de VS in feite verantwoordelijk is. In Libië is dit al lang duidelijk, maar wat betreft Jemen beseffen velen niet dat de VS de genocide in Jemen vandaag nog kan beëindigen, een genocide waarvoor de Saoedische terreurcoalitie verantwoordelijk is, echter dat is tegen de wil van Trump, die zijn veto heeft uitgesproken over het stoppen van de militaire hulp en wapenleveringen** aan de reli-fascistische Saoedische dictatuur......

(CJ Opinion) — A new study from the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR) has found that tens of thousands of Venezuelans have died as a direct result of Trump administration sanctions put into effect in August 2017, and that tens of thousands more are expected to die as a result of additional sanctions put into place in January of this year.

Some noteworthy points:

• The sanctions are “depriving Venezuelans of lifesaving medicines, medical equipment, food, and other essential imports.”
• The sanctions “reduced the public’s caloric intake, increased disease and mortality (for both adults and infants), and displaced millions of Venezuelans who fled the country as a result of the worsening economic depression and hyperinflation.”
• The sanctions “have inflicted, and continue to inflict, very serious harm to human life and health, including an estimated more than 40,000 deaths from 2017–2018.”
• That means 2019 deaths haven’t been added to this estimate. The year’s nearly half over, and more aggressive sanctions went into effect this past January.
• Because of the sanctions, “some 22,000 doctors — about one third of the total — have left the country.”
• “The loss of so many billions of dollars of foreign exchange and government revenues was very likely the main shock that pushed the economy from its high inflation, when the August 2017 sanctions were implemented, into the hyperinflation that followed.”
• The massive number of already highly at-risk Venezuelans hurting from the 2017 sanctions “virtually guarantee that the current sanctions, which are much more severe than those implemented before this year, are a death sentence for tens of thousands of Venezuelans. This is especially true if the projected 67 percent drop in oil revenue materializes in 2019.”
• “The United Nations finds that the groups most vulnerable to the accelerating crisis include children and adolescents (including many who can no longer attend school); people who are in poverty or extreme poverty; pregnant and nursing women; older persons; indigenous people; people in need of protection; women and adolescent girls at risk; people with disabilities; and people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex.”
• The sanctions “would fit the definition of collective punishment of the civilian population as described in both the Geneva and Hague international conventions, to which the US is a signatory.”

To be clear, this unforgivable atrocity rests predominantly on the shoulders of the Trump administration. It is true that Venezuela has had deep economic troubles for years due to declining oil prices and other issues, and it is true that the sanctions in question follow a longstanding agenda of previous administrations and were built on the foundation of an Obama policy declaring the Venezuelan government an “extraordinary threat to national security”. But the report is clear in its assessment that what took the nation’s economy from a state of high inflation to hyperinflation was the August 2017 sanctions, and that’s what’s been causing these high numbers of deaths which will get even worse due to the January 2019 sanctions.

To put this in perspective for Trump supporters, 40,000 is also the number of people estimated to have died as a result of the disastrous Obama/Clinton interventionism in Libya. And, again, that number only covers 2017 and 2018, and death tolls are predicted to accelerate this year.

This would be the same President Trump, by the way, who recently vetoed a congressional bill to end the role of the United States in facilitating Saudi Arabia’s war crimes in Yemen. Research from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project indicates that up to 80,000 people had been killed in this war as of the end of last year. This number applies to deaths by military violence only, not to the other untold tens of thousands who have died of starvation and cholera as a result of Saudi Arabia’s inhuman blockades on imports and its deliberate targeting of farms, fishing boats, marketplaces, food storage sites and cholera treatment centers with airstrikes. Just for children under the age of five, the death toll due to starvation alone is believed to be over 85,000.

Economic Sanctions as Collective Punishment: The Case of Venezuela | Reports | CEPR

This paper looks at some of the most important impacts of the economic sanctions imposed on Venezuela by the US government since August of 2017.

Sanctions are the only form of warfare where it’s considered perfectly acceptable and legitimate to deliberately target a nation’s civilian population with lethal force. The human corpses it creates are just as dead as the human corpses created by overt military violence, but because this form of violence happens in slow motion it’s not treated like the same kind of horrific assault as if Trump had ordered the carpet bombing of Caracas. The distinction makes no difference to the dead and no difference to their loved ones, but it makes all the difference in the world when it comes to manufacturing public consent for murderous acts of interventionism.

The way sanctions are discussed by the western political/media class, they can even get away with blaming the deaths on the government being targeted. They’ll say things like, “Maduro is starving his people by not stepping down.” That tactic would never work with other forms of lethal force. Imagine if Trump deployed a barrage of Tomahawk missiles onto the most impoverished parts of a densely populated city in Venezuela, then hearing anyone say “Well Maduro actually exploded those people, because he wouldn’t do what we told him to do.”

It doesn’t work. Sanctions are a slower and more gruelling weapon of war than bombs and missiles, but they’re vastly superior when it comes to the matter of keeping the public asleep through depraved acts of mass slaughter. Which is why everyone’s yammering about Joe Biden’s presidential campaign announcement right now instead of talking about this new CEPR report.

To this day I still run into defenders of Trump’s Venezuela interventionism (easily the most obnoxious and intellectually dishonest political group I’ve ever encountered, for the record) who insist that the sanctions are laser-targeted only at Venezuela’s elites, having no impact on the suffering of the Venezuelan people. This is exactly as stupid as believing that American bombs only kill bad guys. Attacking an economy hurts the people who depend on that economy to feed themselves and their children.

Sanctions are an act of war which kill civilians just as dead as any other, and this latest report helps make that a stark and undeniable reality for us all.

*  Een geheime economische oorlog: door winkelketens voor levensmiddelen uit de VS onder druk te zetten hun winkels in Venezuela zo min mogelijk of helemaal niet te bevoorraden. Hetzelfde deed de Obama administratie met de grote farmaceuten, ook zij werden onder druk gezet zo min mogelijk de voorraden voor Venezuela aan te vullen...... Onlangs nog werd bekend gemaakt dat de Trump administratie 5 miljard dollar van Venezuela, voor aankopen van medicijnen in de VS, heeft geconfisqueerd.....
