WaPo waarschuwt voor Russische digitale controle over de hersenen van VS burgers

De WashingtonPost (WaPo) waarschuwt dat de VS de informatie oorlog verliest van de Russen, sterker nog: Rusland zou de hersenen van VS burgers al digitaal manipuleren...... David Ignatius is een fervent Rusland hater in het geschreven woord, een promotor van de Rusland hysterie die al een aantal jaren aanhoudt in de VS ('Russiagate'), maar waarvoor geen bewijs werd gevonden, anders dan een aantal geplaatste advertenties tegen een bedrag van 10.000 dollar, terwijl er miljarden worden uitgegeven aan deze verkiezingen.....* Deze Ignatius stelt in een artikel genaamd 'Why America is losing the information war to Russia' dat de VS de informatie oorlog verliest van Rusland..... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! 

De VS voert al decennia lang een informatie oorlog, zelfs tegen haar bevriende naties, zonder enige scrupules werd zelfs de telefoon van Angela Merkel afgeluisterd en reken maar dat zij niet het enige staatshoofd in de EU is, die werd (en wordt) afgeluisterd en gehackt door de VS..... Middels desinformatie, andere manipulaties als het pompen van geld in een bepaalde campagne beïnvloedt de VS zelfs verkiezingen elders..... Als deze manipulatie niet lukt organiseert de CIA een opstand en als die niet resulteert in de afzetting van de niet gewenste regering kan de VS een economische oorlog voeren, terreur waardoor de bevolking ontevreden wordt en een andere regering zal eisen (in Venezuela heeft dit al aan meer dan 40.000 mensen het leven gekost...).... Als dat voorgaande dan nog niet lukt is daar altijd nog de mogelijkheid een illegale oorlog te beginnen.....

Kortom: de wereld zou gewaarschuwd moeten worden voor VS internet terreur......

Ingnatius kan overigens gerust zijn daar het Pentagon al een programma heeft ontwikkeld om manipulatie van de tere, breekbare VS hersentjes tegen te gaan, zo zal het Pentagon ingrijpen als er desinformatie op het net verschijnt..... Ofwel informatie die door het Pentagon wordt weggezet als desinformatie, dus als met die informatie de burgers wakker kunnen worden geschut en waar deze burgers de smerige manipulaties (middels desinformatie en fake news) van de VS overheid in 'al haar glorie kunnen overzien.......' Kortom het Pentagon gaat zich bezighouden met censuur van de bovenste plank, censuur die thuishoort in een dictatuur (en dat is de VS al bijna)..... Tja, wie de informatie beheerst, beheerst de wereld (waar het VS imperium buiten haar grenzen al meer dan 800 militaire bases heeft...).....

WaPo Warns USA Needs More Narrative Control As Pentagon Ramps Up Narrative Control

Do you lay awake at night terrified that the Russians are able to control your mind with information warfare while the US government's slavish devotion to democratic values leaves it powerless to stop them? Me neither. But according to The Washington Post, whose sole owner is a CIA contractor and Pentagon board member bent on hijacking the underlying infrastructure of the economy, we should be.

WaPo columnist David Ignatius, who has been one of the more hyperbolic promulgators of western Russia hysteria in written media, has published an article titled "Why America is losing the information war to Russia" about a new book by former State Department undersecretary for public diplomacy Richard Engel. Engel and Ignatius engage in a joyful Red Scare frolic with the exuberance of two little boys with a box of spray paints, each trying to one-up the other in hysterical apocalyptic ominousness about the way evil, authoritarian governments like Russia have been able to weaponize information while freedom-loving democracies can only look on in passive despair.

"The cruel paradox of the Internet, once hailed as a liberating force, is that it empowers governments that control information and enfeebles those that let it run free," warns Ignatius.

"[Authoritarian governments] have gone from fearing the flow of information to exploiting it," cautions Engel. "They understand that the same tools that spread democracy can engineer its undoing.”

Unsurprisingly, at no point during this brotherly romp does Ignatius bother to make mention of the fact that Engel is actually on record saying he supports the use of propaganda and believes the US government should be using it on its own citizens.

"Basically, every country creates their own narrative story and, you know, my old job at the State 

Department was what people used to joke as the ‘chief propagandist’ job," Engel said last year at an event organized by the shockingly ubiquitous narrative management firm Council on Foreign Relations.

"I’m not against propaganda," Engel said. "Every country does it, and they have to do it to their own population, and I don’t necessarily think it’s that awful."

When an audience member objected to what he'd just heard, Engel curtly dismissed him and ended the talk.

So anyway, that's what the CIA/Pentagon/plutocracy-tied Washington Post wants you to be sure of: that evil governments are controlling your mind with information warfare, and that the US government is struggling to rescue you from that fate. Lucky for you, this report just so happens to be coming out at the same time as we're learning that the Pentagon is already currently working on a program to protect you from wrongthink by controlling your access to information.

A recent Bloomberg article titled "U.S. Unleashes Military to Fight Fake News, Disinformation" reports that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is funding a new project called the Semantic Forensics program with which "the military research agency hopes it can spot fake news with malicious intent before going viral."

"If successful, the system after four years of trials may expand to detect malicious intent and prevent viral fake news from polarizing society," Bloomberg reports.

DARPA (formerly ARPA) is a top contender among some very stiff competition for the absolute creepiest of all US government agencies. Journalist Yasha Levine has done a lot of work documenting the way the agency has been intimately involved in internet surveillance since before the internet was even really a thing, beginning in the 1960s with its ARPANET program whose technologies went on to form the foundation of the World Wide Web. DARPA is also engaged in such charming activities as exploring ways to knit AI into human neurology, funding programs to control America's election infrastructure, pouring billions of dollars into the creation of a robot army and constructing robotic insects which can crawl up walls.

Futurists have long envisioned a utopia where mankind reaps the benefits of soaring technological innovations which will overcome our every obstacle and lead us to an unprecedented state of human thriving. What they failed to account for was sociopathic government agencies like DARPA being intimately involved in those technologies from the very beginning.

Let’s please ban the word “narrative” from our discussion of the news and this president. There is only one version of the facts and the truth. Full stop.

Power is being able to control what happens. Absolute power is being able to control what people think about what happens. Whoever controls the narrative controls the world. Governments understand this and so do their propagandists, and so, increasingly, do the rank-and-file public. Which is why you've now got establishment narrative managers like CNN's Jim Sciutto saying things like"Let’s please ban the word 'narrative' from our discussion of the news and this president. There is only one version of the facts and the truth." Mass media propagandists would like nothing better than to have people cease paying attention to the concept of narrative and go back to believing that when they turn on CNN they are receiving objective truth from the authoritative arbiters of absolute reality.

But that cat's out of the bag. What has been seen cannot be unseen. A large number of people are aware that there are some very powerful forces who have a vested interest in controlling the thoughts that are in their head, and that number is growing every day. These powerful forces have responded to this new development by becoming increasingly ham-fisted in regulating the public's access to ideas and information, and now it's a race to see if they can slam the gates on us before we escape our cage forever.

De VS bombardeerde Raqqa plat, terwijl de doelen voor die bombardementen, IS strijders, met duizenden de stad mochten verlaten........

De grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine aarde, de VS, heeft niet alleen West-Mosul in Irak zo goed als platgebombardeerd, wat bij Angelina Jolie de uitspraak ontlokte dat ze nimmer een dergelijke vernietiging zag*, maar ook het Syrische Raqqa werd voor een heel groot deel door VS bombardementen vernietigd.......

In beide gevallen smeekte de VN en een paar landen die wel menselijke regeringen hebben, de VS te stoppen met die bombardementen, daar vooral de burgers van die steden werden getroffen.... De VS deed niets op die smeekbedes en ging gewoon door met willens en wetens vermoorden van vooral burgers...... 

In West-Mosul is een enorm aantal burgers vermoord met die bombardementen van vooral de VS.... Hun aantal was zo groot dat de terreurregering van Irak besloot de slachtoffers niet te bergen, maar hen te bulldozeren onder het puin van de huizenblokken, dit om het 'officiële' aantal dodelijke burgerslachtoffers zo laag mogelijk te houden.......

Volgens deskundigen zijn in West-Mosul meer dan 20.000 burgers vermoord, echter dit natrekken is zoals je begrijpt onmogelijk, het werkelijke aantal vermoorde burgers zullen we dan ook nooit weten......

Vreemd genoeg mochten destijds tijdens die bombardementen IS strijders de stad verlaten, waarna ze onder begeleiding van de Irak coalitie naar de grens met Syrië werden gebracht...... (om in dat land tegen Assad te vechten) Ofwel men bombardeerde een stad met het doel terroristen uit te schakelen, laat vervolgens een groot deel van hen vertrekken en bombardeert vervolgens vrolijk door tot de stad geheel in handen was van die moorddadige Irak coalitie (onder regie van vooral de VS).........

Hetzelfde heeft zich afgespeeld in Raqqa, waar men eerder sprak over honderden IS strijders en hun familie die mochten vertrekken, blijkt het na onderzoek om duizenden te gaan...... Ook daar ging de VS door met bombardementen op de stad, terwijl het overgrote deel van de strijders al was vertrokken, ofwel de VS bombardeerde vooral de bewoners die niets te maken hadden met IS of andere terreurgroepen......

Gelukkig haalt de schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Darius Shahtahmasebi, Aleppo aan en dan m.n. de bevrijding van Oost-Aleppo. Het Syrische leger en de Russen hebben destijds besloten, 2 maanden voor de uiteindelijke bevrijding, te stoppen met bombardementen, juist om zoveel mogelijk burgerslachtoffers te voorkomen..... 

De reguliere westerse media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici schreeuwden destijds echter moord en brand over de bevrijding va, die men in het westen liefkozend 'gematigde rebellen' noemt...... De hysterische reacties van die media en politici waren vooral gebaseerd op berichtgeving die door de terreurgroepen naar buiten werd gebracht, ofwel een dik pak leugens, veelal 'geserveerd' door het SOHR (Syrische Observatorium voor Mensenrechten), geleid door een gevluchte Syrische misdadiger die met de leugen dat hij een politiek vluchteling was, asiel verkreeg in Groot-Brittannië....

Zoals bij alle steden die het reguliere Syrische leger bevrijdde van islam-terreur, was de bevolking van Oost-Aleppo dolblij met hun bevrijders, na deze bevrijding keerde een groot deel van de gevluchte burgers terug naar hun stad...... Het voorgaande volkomen in tegenstelling tot West-Mosul en Raqqa, daar er niets is om naar terug te keren........

The US Annihilated Raqqa While Allowing Thousands of Terrorists to Escape — Why?

(ET) — Amnesty International released an explosive report last week, which described the US-led coalition’s disproportionate and indiscriminate war in Raqqa as the US-led “war of annihilation”.

The report confirmed what some people have suspected for a while but few have dared to even talk about. Namely, that the United States and its allies have completely destroyed a Syrian city, and left almost nothing but death and destruction in their wake.

In coming to its conclusion, Amnesty researchers visited 42 coalition air strike sites across the city and interviewed 112 civilian residents who had survived the ordeal. The results of their investigation shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention, as approximately a year ago, Reuters described the plight of one resident in Raqqa who found several of his neighbours lying dead on the street, with cats eating the corpses.

The report even details four cases of civilian families who, between them, lost 90 relatives and neighbours. One family lost 39 in total, all of them allegedly killed by coalition air strikes. This would also not be a surprise to anyone who cared enough to follow this story closely, particularly with the Intercept’s shocking article last year titled, ‘Entire families are being killed by US airstrikes in Raqqa, Syria’.

To be fair, US President Donald Trump did once say he would “take out” the families of Islamic State (IS) fighters. He also once asked the CIA why they delayed an air strike on a terrorist target so as to avoid hitting the house with his family inside it. In other words, the Commander-in-Chief of the world’s military superpower doesn’t have a clue how international humanitarian law works.

“When so many civilians are killed in attack after attack, something is clearly wrong, and to make this tragedy worse, so many months later the incidents have not been investigated. The victims deserve justice. The Coalition’s claims that its precision air campaign allowed it to bomb IS out of Raqqa while causing very few civilian casualties do not stand up to scrutiny. On the ground in Raqqa, we witnessed a level of destruction comparable to anything we’ve seen in decades of covering the impact of wars,” said Donatella Rovera, Senior Crisis Response Adviser at Amnesty International.

Most credible estimates of the assessment of the damage done to Raqqa are that a whopping 80% of Raqqa was uninhabitable after the US had supposedly “liberated” its population. This isn’t something the American media even took on with a conscience, or even felt the need to apologise for; this was something they actively bragged about.

“Looking at photographs of the ruined, desolate streets of what was once the Islamic State’s capital of Raqqa is a reminder of the overwhelming, pitilessly effective military power of the United States,” bragged the Washington Post’s David Ignatius in an op-ed last year. “The heaps of rubble in Raqqa that once housed terrorists and torturers convey a bedrock lesson, as valid now as in 1945: It’s a mistake to provoke the United States. It may take the country a while to respond to a threat, but once the machine of US power is engaged, it’s relentless – so long as the political will exists to sustain it,”Ignatius continued.

For all of Bashar al Assad’s flaws, and despite all of the mounting allegations of war crimes against him, after Russia and Syria retook the city of Aleppo in 2016, hundreds of thousands of refugees returned back to live in the city. An Aleppo cathedral even reopened last year with a classical concert (the US-backed rebels occupying Aleppo previously were not big on religious diversity). I don’t know about you, but I haven’t heard of any concerts taking place in Raqqa thus far.

But here is where things get even more disturbing. On November 13, 2017, the BBC dropped a bombshell report exposing how the US cut a secret deal with “hundreds” of IS fighters and their families to leave the Syrian city of Raqqa under the “gaze of the US and British-led coalition and Kurdish-led forces who control the city”. The US even allegedly allowed the escape of some of IS’ “most notorious” members, as well as its foreign fighters and tonnes of weapons and ammunition.

Almost a month later, Reuters took the story even further and reported that a high-level defector from the Kurdish-led forces in Syria had revealed that the number of IS fighters given safe passage was actually in the thousands, not hundreds. This account was then seconded by a security official in Turkey.

So, on the one hand, you have the US exacting all of its military might and power to completely raze Raqqa to the ground, while on the other, they were doing all of this while allowing their alleged targets to escape safely. This ultimately begs the question: who were they trying to kill that entire time? What crime did the residents of Raqqa commit that they had to suffer and endure this criminal behaviour?

It also cannot be overlooked that the US did all of this without any discernible legal basis. For those of you who need this spelt out: the US does not have any legal mandate to conduct military operations in Syria. This is not some secret or mere mistake or accident, the US government’s own lawyers have been advising them of this, even under the Obama administration.

But don’t take my word for it. Speaking to Syrian opposition members at a meeting that took place at the Dutch mission to the United Nations (UN), then Secretary of State John Kerry stated,

“The problem is that the Russians don’t care about international law, but we do. And we don’t have the basis – our lawyers tell us – unless we have the UN Security Council Resolution, which the Russians can veto, and the Chinese, or unless we are under attack from the folks there, or unless we are invited in. Russia is invited in by the legitimate regime – well it’s illegitimate in our mind – but by the regime. And so they were invited in and we are not invited in.

We’re flying in an airspace there where they can turn on the air defences and we would have a very different scene. The only reason they are letting us fly is because we are going after IS. If we were going after Assad, those air defences, we would have to take out all the air defences, and we don’t have the legal justification, frankly, unless we stretch it way beyond the law.”

Despite having this knowledge, it didn’t stop the US from doing what it does best – accounting for at least 90% of the strikes on Raqqa. Ignatius is wrong: it is not a mistake to provoke the United States. Raqqa never provoked anyone. Just like Vietnam, Libya, Korea, Iraq and everywhere else before it, it joins a long list of territories forced to pay the highest price for reasons that cannot and will not ever be justified, let alone investigated by the United States.

Raqqa door VS platgebombardeerd >> reguliere (massa-) media in de VS zijn er trots op......

Ongelofelijk maar waar, de reguliere media in de VS zijn trots op het platbombarderen van de Syrische stad Raqqa door de luchtmacht van de VS...... Ondanks oproepen van de VN te stoppen met bombarderen van de stad om burgerslachtoffers te voorkomen, ging de VS gewoon door met haar 'tapijtbombardementen' op Raqqa, zoals de VS dat eerder deed met West-Mosul en in een verder verleden: Noord-Vietnam, Laos en Cambodja en nog verder terug op Duitse steden ten tijde van WOII....... Intussen zijn volgens voorzichtige schattingen 1.800 burgers vermoord in de illegale oorlog van de VS tegen Raqqa.......





Let wel: de VS is illegaal aanwezig in Syrië en voert in feite een illegale oorlog tegen het democratisch gekozen bewind Assad en de Syrische bevolking, een oorlog die deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde al voorbereidde vanaf 2006........

Dit alles zal de voornoemde media een zorg zijn, de VS heeft ingegrepen en laten zien wat er gebeurt als je de VS tart en zogenaamd een gevaar bent voor de VS....... Alsof de regering Assad en IS een direct gevaar zijn voor de VS..... Eén ding is zeker, met het platbombarderen van Raqqa heeft de VS terreurgroepen als IS niet uitgeschakeld, integendeel, de VS stimuleert terrorisme met haar terroristische buitenlandbeleid..... Al is dat natuurlijk ook de bedoeling, ofwel de geheime agenda: de winsten van het militair-industrieel complex varen er wel bij zoals een aantal weken terug bleek, toen werd bekendgemaakt dat de wapenindustrie in 2016 absolute recordwinsten heeft gemaakt.........



Zoals al vaker vastgesteld op deze plek, de VS moet eindelijk eens worden aangeklaagd bij het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) in Den Haag voor al haar vreselijke oorlogsmisdaden, waar het platbombarderen van Raqqa maar één onderdeel van is........

Opvallend dat de reguliere westerse media buiten de VS het platbombarderen van Raqqa niet eens noemen.......... Ach 'opvallend?' Het maakt niet uit wat de VS doet, zelfs voor het bombarderen van ziekenhuizen is of geen aandacht, of men vergoelijkt e.e.a. door een niet bestaand excuus te verzinnen.....

Mainstream Media Brags About US Wiping Syrian City Off the Face of the Earth

(ANTIMEDIA) — America’s illegal war in the Syrian city of Raqqa has already killed over 1,800 civilians, according to the monitoring group Airwars. At the time the offensive was launched in June, the U.S. was aware that some 200,000 civilians were trapped. In that first week of operations alone, the U.N. accused the Trump administration of killing 300 civilians in less than seven days’ worth of bombing.

This trend has continued over the course of the last few months, and as one might imagine, Syrian infrastructure has been completely decimated. Rather than label this assault for what it is — namely, a grave crime against humanity encompassing an endless supply of potential war crimes — the media appears to have chosen a different tack.

“Looking at photographs of the ruined, desolate streets of what was once the Islamic State’s capital of Raqqa is a reminder of the overwhelming, pitilessly effective military power of the United States,” wrote the Washington Post’s David Ignatius in an op-ed published Thursday.

That was merely the opening sentence. Ignatius continued:

“The heaps of rubble in Raqqa that once housed terrorists and torturers convey a bedrock lesson, as valid now as in 1945: It’s a mistake to provoke the United States. It may take the country a while to respond to a threat, but once the machine of U.S. power is engaged, it’s relentless — so long as the political will exists to sustain it.” [emphasis added]

Who exactly provoked the United States here? The people who have been hardest hit are clearly civilians who happened to live in Raqqa. What crime did these people commit?

And if Ignatius is referring solely to the terror group ISIS, at what stage did ISIS “provoke” the U.S.? If anything, ISIS was quite content trying to topple the governments of Iraq and Syria and set up their own Islamic caliphate back in 2014. That is why the Syrian government has been so heavily involved in fighting ISIS over the last few years: ISIS directly threatens its territory. Somehow, the U.S. found itself embroiled in yet another Middle Eastern conflict that didn’t directly affect the U.S. government or its people.

Nevertheless, Russia used this opportunity to turn the tables against the U.S. after western media lambasted Russia’s assault on Aleppo at the end of last year. On Sunday, Russia accused the U.S.-led coalition in Syria of wiping the city of Raqqa “off the face of the earth” with carpet bombing similar to what the United States and Britain did to Germany in 1945.

However, unlike the U.S., Russia had a legal basis to begin its military operations within the country, whether or not it committed war crimes in the process.

David Ignatius is right about one thing and one thing only – the media is almost all but silent on what is going on in Raqqa. However, Ignatius wrongly attributes this to the “inevitable nature of American force” that has prompted so little discussion. In reality, it’s likely this topic isn’t being discussed because of the numerous illegalities surrounding it.

The people of Raqqa won’t forget what the U.S. has illegally done to their homes. In July, one witness told Reuters he found several of his neighbors dead on the street. Cats were eating their bodies. It later emerged that American-led airstrikes were wiping out entire families. This is not how you defeat terrorism. This is how you perpetuate it.

Corporate media would do well to separate itself from this violent and grotesque criminal behavior, yet it continues to endorse it. If RT released op-eds that glorified Russian crimes to the extent that western media is doing right now, the Washington Post would have a field day.

This is not the hallmark of an independent press, but rather, one that serves horrifyingly violent policies. An independent media would question both Russia’s and America’s roles in the Middle East, objectively distinguish between the two, and demand both entities be held accountable for failing to protect civilians when that evidence arises.

All that being said, Airwars has more or less put its monitoring of Russian airstrikes on hold this year as the U.S. has continued to surpass Russia in its civilian death toll by a long shot.
