VS blijft burgerslachtoffers maken in zucht naar een machtspositie in Syrië...

Bij een luchtaanval van de VS in Syrië zijn naar schatting rond de 30 burgers vermoord...... De aanval was gericht op 2 steden in de buurt van Abu Kamal ten oosten van de Eufraat (rivier), in het grensgebied van Syrië en Irak.

In mei kondigde de VS nog aan de aanvallen op IS groepen te verhogen, echter wat het VS commando onder IS verstaat zijn allesbehalve IS terroristen, maar Syrische burgers in voor de VS strategische gebieden..... Gebieden die ofwel in handen zijn van het reguliere Syrische leger, dan wel gebieden die in handen van dit leger dreigen te vallen en waar de VS volkomen lak heeft aan burgerslachtoffers...... De VS erkent nog ontkent verantwoordelijk te zijn voor de luchtaanvallen, maar stelt dat het mogelijk zou kunnen zijn (....)* Wat betreft de slachtoffers: hetzelfde geldt voor de slachtoffers, die zijn vermoord tijdens de aanvallen van de VS tegen het reguliere Syrische leger en/of aan haar gelieerde groepen........

De VS kon e.e.a. niet duidelijker maken dan door de steden Al-Souseh en AL-Baghouz Fowqani aan te vallen, daar deze steden weigerden doorgang te verlenen aan door de VS gesteunde terreurgroepen.... Volgens de media waren er onder de slachtoffers IS strijders, echter dat ontkennen de bewoners van die steden in alle toonaarden....... Voorts bevatten de aan de VS gelieerde terreurgroepen steeds vaker oud-IS strijders........ 

Tja, Syrië is nog altijd een soevereine staat met een democratisch gekozen president, ofwel Syrië heeft alle recht om haar, door illegale groepen en landen (zoals de VS) ingenomen gebieden te bevrijden. Waar de zogenaamde gematigde rebellen, moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen, die worden gesteund door het westen, hun vreselijke terreur uitoefenen op de Syrische bevolking en daarbij zelfs de sharia wetgeving gebruiken (of moet je spreken over misbruiken??)

Het is intussen wel duidelijk dat de VS zich niet zal terugtrekken uit Syrië en dat de wil van deze grootste terreurentiteit op aarde de daar strategische posities te behouden, tot nog veel meer bloedvergieten zal leiden..... Dit door de VS dat één op één verantwoordelijk is voor de opstand die tot het vele bloedvergieten en de oorlog in Syrië hebben geleid..... (de eerste aanzetten van de VS tot het omverwerpen van het Assad bewind middels een opstand die tot een coup moesten leiden, dateren al van 2006...)

Tijd dat het lamme orgaan, aangeduid met de naam Internationaal Strafhof (ICC) eindelijk eens actie onderneemt tegen de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS. Deze vereniging van terreurstaten is vanaf 1945 tot nu verantwoordelijk voor meer dan 22 miljoen moorden....**

Tijd ook dat de rest van de wereld zich verenigt tegen de VS, aan het ongebreideld bloedvergieten door deze terreurstaat moet eindelijk eens een eind komen!! (2 vliegen in 1 klap: zo hoeven mensen niet langer te vluchten naar de EU voor door de VS gestarte illegale oorlogen.....)

In het volgende artikel van Whitney Webb, eerder gepubliceerd op MintPress News, noemt ze het Syrisch Observatorium voor de Mensenrechten (SOHR), jammer daar dit SOHR een propagandaorgaan is voor een aantal terreurgroepen in Syrië en zeker niet zou mogen worden genoemd door journalisten die hun werk wel serieus nemen, dit in tegenstelling tot de journalisten van de reguliere (massa-) media, die zogenaamd onafhankelijk zijn.... De journalisten die hun werk wel serieus nemen zijn voor het overgrote deel te vinden op de sociale media, vandaar ook het gezeur in de politiek en in  die reguliere media over 'fake news' (nepnieuws), daar die reguliere media steeds meer publiek verliezen...... De politiek bemoeit zich hiermee daar de reguliere media brave vertolkers en verdedigers zijn van de westerse agressie elders.......

US Airstrike Kills 54 Civilians in Syria in Push to Control Syrian Border

With the U.S. now unable to prevent Syrian government control of the Syria-Jordan border, Friday’s strikes are a sign that the U.S. effort to oust the Syrian government from Abu Kamal is likely to only grow stronger as its occupation of Syrian territory faces an uncertain future.

(MPN) Around midnight on Friday, U.S.-led coalition warplanes in Syria conducted intensive airstrikes near Abu Kamal in the Deir ez-Zor province, with estimates of civilian casualties ranging from 30 to 54. Syrian state media agency SANA has claimed that at least 30 were killed and that most of the dead were women and children. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), often cited by international and particularly Western media, has asserted that 54 were killed.

According to local reports, the U.S.-led coalition strikes targeted the towns of al-Souseh and al-Baghouz Fowqani, east of the Euphrates river in the countryside around Abu Kamal. The bombings resulted in dozens of houses in the towns collapsing, resulting in numerous civilian deaths, as whole families were crushed by the rubble while they were sleeping.

The U.S. coalition did not confirm or deny its role in the strike, stating only that it “may have” been responsible. However, the bombing comes after the coalition announced in early May it would intensify airstrikes targeting Daesh (ISIS), particularly in Eastern Syria along the Syria-Iraq border. Abu Kamal, where last night’s strikes took place, is a strategic border town on the Syria-Iraq border and is the only Syria-Iraq border crossing currently controlled by Syrian government forces.

Western media reports have claimed that Daesh militants were among the dead, but survivors of the attack contest this claim, instead suggesting that they had been targeted for their unwillingness to cooperate with local U.S.-backed militias. Locals told SANA that U.S. claims that the strikes were intended to target Daesh were false and instead suggested that two towns had been targeted for refusing the entry of the U.S.-backed opposition militias, particularly the Qasad militia.

Reports in Arabic media from earlier this year (English translation) have claimed to provide evidence that many former Daesh members have joined the Qasad militia, both in the province of Deir Ez-Zor and al-Hasakah. Such reports are consistent with U.S. support for other militia groups, such as the Deir Ez-Zor Military Council (DMC), that also include significant numbers of former Daesh fighters who had surrendered to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the proxy force of the coalition, over the course of the past year.

Losing influence elsewhere in Syria, the U.S. sets sights on Abu Kamal

The strike comes at a delicate time for the U.S. coalition in Syria, as its most important alliances, which enable its occupation of more than 30 percent of Syrian territory, threaten to dissolve while local resistance to the presence of foreign troops continues to grow.

MintPress has recently reported on these developments — regarding first the rise of local resistance to the U.S. presence from Arab and Kurdish tribes in U.S.-occupied Syria, and then the agreement between the Syrian government and factions of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG, the backbone of the U.S. proxy force, the SDF) behind the back of the U.S. coalition. Both developments threaten to make the U.S. occupation of Syrian territory not only ultimately unsustainable but indeed short-lived.

The U.S. has also lost influence elsewhere in Syria, particularly in Syria’s south owing to the Syrian government’s recent, highly successful campaign in the area. The offensive has seen the Syrian government reclaim nearly all of the Syrian-Jordan border and is likely to result in the U.S. abandoning its long-standing presence in al-Tanf, the strategic area where the borders of Syria, Jordan and Iraq meet.

The U.S. has maintained a military base at al-Tanf, where it has trained proxy fighters for the past several years, and has occupied a 34-mile zone surrounding that facility. Losing that location is a blow to U.S. influence in Syria and would mean a consolidation of U.S. occupation forces in the Eastern portion of Syria nominally controlled by the SDF.

For that reason, the recent strikes on Abu Kamal are notable, as they build on other recent coalition strikes in the area. Indeed, there is no Daesh presence in Abu Kamal aside from the pockets of Daesh that intermittently attack the Syrian government-held city from the area of Syria occupied by the U.S.

In addition, recent coalition bombings in and around Abu Kamal have shown that these strikes have nothing to do with wiping out Daesh. For instance, another recent coalition strike in the Abu Kamal area, which took place last month, did not target Daesh at all but instead Syrian government forces and allied Iraqi militias. Though the U.S. never publicly admitted responsibility for the attack and an anonymous U.S. official had blamed the strike on Israel, forensic evidence analyzed and collected by Iraqi forces showed that the U.S. was indeed responsible.

The U.S. interest in Abu Kamal is aimed at wresting the strategic outpost from the control of the Syrian government, which would result in the Syrian government losing its only road access to both Iraq and Iran. Cutting off this supply line, particularly the connection between Syria and Iran, has long been acknowledged as an important U.S. goal in its occupation of Northeastern Syria.

With the U.S. now unable to prevent Syrian government control of the Syria-Jordan border, Friday’s strikes are a sign that the U.S. effort to oust the Syrian government from Abu Kamal is likely to only grow stronger as its occupation of Syrian territory faces an uncertain future. If the high death tolls from the recent strike are any indication, the U.S. seems to have few qualms about killing scores of civilians in pursuit of its geopolitical goals in Syria.

Doodmoe wordt je van alle berichten met de melding dat een VS bombardement dan wel beschieting met raketten uit een straaljager, verantwoordelijk is voor een groot aantal burgerslachtoffers....... In de reguliere media denkt men er ook zo over, alleen betekent het 'doodmoe' daar het niet eens brengen van dergelijk nieuws, dat is immers maar lastig voor onze grootste bondgenoot, terreurentiteit VS.........

Nee, doodmoe in de zin van hoe kan dit keer op keer gebeuren zonder dat iemand de VS aanklaagt.... Al zou het Internationaal Strafhof in Den Haag eindelijk bezig zijn met 2 zaken tegen de VS, dit vanwege oorlogsmisdaden begaan in Afghanistan........ (dit daar Afghanistan dit Strafhof erkent*)

Doodmoe ook van de onverschilligheid van velen als het om oorlogsmisdaden van de VS gaat, blijkbaar is alles wat de VS doet heilig, echter als er een aanval wordt gemeld met burgerdoden die zouden zijn gevallen bij een luchtaanval door Syrië of Rusland, is het land te klein... Waarbij dan nog opgemerkt moet worden dat de meeste van die berichten niet eens kloppen, echter de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en het grootste deel van de westerse politici vinden het al genoeg als Rusland en/of het Syrische leger worden genoemd als daders (dan moet het wel waar zijn....).......

Beschuldigingen bijvoorbeeld gedaan door het SOHR, het Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, dat bestaat uit één man, een gewezen Syrische misdadiger, die zijn land ontvluchtte om terechte gevangenisstraf te ontlopen (dat soort figuren krijgen wel asiel in het westen....). Het SOHR brengt vooral berichten waarin het Syrische leger wordt beschuldigd van oorlogsmisdaden, informatie die het SOHR krijgt van de 'gematigde terreurgroepen' (lees: psychopathische moordenaars, verkrachters en martelbeulen) en de White Helmets, een propaganda onderdeel van Al Qaida in Syrië.......

(ANTIWAR.COM) — US and coalition warplanes attacked the village of Shafah, in eastern Syria, overnight on Tuesday, killing at least 13 civilians and by some accounting 15. Seven of the slain were women.

The coalition has declined comment on the Tuesday night attacks, and when pressed by the media simply referred them to a previous statement. That statement, however, addressed an attack on Sunday, in which they claimed 150 ISIS fighters were killed in the same village.

Shafah is a village along the Euphrates River, not far from the Iraqi border. The Sunday attack statement claimed ISIS had their “headquarters” in Syria at that village. Having claimed to have destroyed it, however, it’s unclear why they keep attacking the site.

The Sunday attack, however, included a statement that the US was very certain it was impossible that no civilians could’ve been killed. It’s clear that was not the case in the Tuesday strike, though this may be one of those incidents which never officially finds its way into Pentagon reports.

Om te laten zien, dat Turkije zich alles kan permitteren in het Midden-Oosten, heeft Erdogan bevel gegeven de waterdoorvoer van de Eufraat af te sluiten voor de Syrische grens. Geheel toevallig was dit vlak nadat VS opperschoft McCain een bezoek had gebracht aan Erdogan...........

Assad moet en zal weg, ook al zou dat tienduizenden doden kosten, daar doet de VS nooit moeilijk over........... Vanaf WOII heeft de VS meer dan 20 miljoen mensen vermoord in illegale oorlogen, of door het parachuteren van VS vriendelijke dictaturen, zoals in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika. Of het grote aantal doden dat 'gewoon' viel middels door de VS uitgevoerde standrechtelijke executies (buiten de VS), zoals die met drones, executies waarbij meer dan 90% van de omstaande slachtoffers niet eens verdacht was/is (waaronder vooral vrouwen en kinderen), want daar gaat het om: het executeren van verdachten, zonder tussenkomst van een rechter .... Ofwel beschaving anno 2017.....................

Nu heeft Turkije, tegen alle internationale verdragen in, de watertoevoer van een rivier afgesloten. Van die rivier is men o.a. in Aleppo afhankelijk wat betreft drinkwater, datzelfde geldt voor een heel groot gebied rond Aleppo. Ook worden elektriciteitscentrales gekoeld met dit water. U behoeft geen specialist te zijn, om te bedenken, dat dit een regelrechte ramp wordt, voor de zoveelste keer door (fascistische) 'mensenhand' gemaakt.........

Wanneer worden de westerse bevolkingen wakker en zeggen massaal nee, tegen het gemanipuleer en het voeren van illegale oorlogen door hun leiders in landen waar we niets te zoeken hebben, waarmee die westerse politieke leiders, allesbehalve de belangen van hun volk behartigen, iets dat wel hun taak is!! De westerse terreur in het Midden-Oosten en in delen van Afrika, creëert niet alleen grote ellende daar, maar fabriceert ook de terroristen die o.a. hier tekeer gaan.... Als het westen al wegtrekt blijven die landen volledig in puin achter en heerst er chaos, neem Libië, Afghanistan en Irak...... (oh nee, dom van mij 'het karwei' van vernietiging in Irak en Afghanistan is nog niet afgerond....)

Intussen worden de vluchtelingen die op de loop zijn voor de door het westen gecreëerde oorlogen, op een vreselijke manier behandeld, zoals in het Turkije van Erdogan...........* Waar de daders van die ellende, de westerse landen, geen of zo min mogelijk vluchtelingen binnen hun grenzen willen toelaten.....

Just a matter of days after John McCain made an “unusual” trip to Syria and Turkey, the Turkish government has cut off water supplies from the Euphrates River into northern Syria, violating international conventions on water rights.

(MINTPRESS) While some measure of stability has returned to pockets of northern Syria following the Syrian Army’s recent liberation of al-Qaeda from Aleppo and elsewhere, external forces seem determined to keep the region volatile, regardless of the cost. In the latest example of aggressive foreign intervention in Syria, Turkey, which has long played an antagonistic role in Syria’s nearly six-year-long conflict, has now cut off the flow of the Euphrates River into Syria, depriving the nation of one of its primary sources of water.

According to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency, Turkey cut water supplies to Syria around Feb. 23, which subsequently forced a hydroelectric plant at the Tishrin Dam to shut down while also significantly reducing water levels on its associated reservoir. The dam supplies both water and power to key parts of northern Syria, such as the city of Manbij and other parts of the predominantly Kurdish Kobani Canton.

The dam is one of several major dams along the Euphrates River. Just downstream from Tishrin lies the Tabqa Dam and its reservoir Lake Assad, which supplies Aleppo with most of its power and drinking water, as well as irrigation water for over 640,000 hectares (2,500 square miles) of farmland. A city official in Manbij told Hawar that the city would provide generator fuel to civilians to help cope with the blackout that has resulted from the river being cut off. The same official added that Turkey had “violated the international conventions of water and rivers energy by cutting off Euphrates water.”

This is not the first time Turkey has deprived Syrians of water as a means to advance their political goals in the region. Turkey previously cut the river off in May of 2014, causing water levels on Lake Assad to drop by over 20 feet and creating the potential for genocide by means of dehydration. By blocking the river, Turkey threatens Iraqi civilians as well. Major urban centers like Mosul, whose water supplies largely depend on reservoirs fed by the Euphrates, could be gravely impacted if the river continues to be blocked.

The act of cutting off the river is not unprecedented, but its timing is peculiar. Just days prior to Turkey’s act, U.S. Senator John McCain “secretly” visited the Kobani Canton, the very region that now finds itself without water, before heading to Turkey, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  

According to the senator’s office, “Senator McCain’s visit was a valuable opportunity to assess dynamic conditions on the ground in Syria and Iraq.” It adds that McCain looks forward to working with the Trump administration and military leaders “to optimize our approach” on fighting the Islamic State.

While the U.S. has backed the Kurds in their fight to keep their territories along the Syrian-Turkish border free of terrorist influence, it has come at the cost of greatly complicating diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Turkey.  For example, in early 2016, Erdogan dramatically demanded that the U.S. choose between an alliance with Turkey or with the Syrian Kurds. The diplomatic stand-off has since reached new heights of tension, with Turkey threatening to invade Kurdish-held Manbij less than two weeks ago. Manbij is suffering the most from Turkey’s blockage of the Euphrates, suggesting that the move could be intended to destabilize the Kurds before something more drastic takes place.

It also warrants mentioning that despite Erdogan’s and McCain’s claims that they are eager to “defeat” the Islamic State and other terrorist factions, both have close ties to those very same groups. This, of course, suggests that McCain’s visit, as well as recent moves by Turkey, have ulterior motives that have yet to be publicly expressed.

For example, McCain has been so intent on removing Assad from power that he has fostered relationships with the Syria’s “moderate rebels” and its more notorious opposition factions such as the Islamic State. Photographic evidence has confirmed this, with one infamous photo showing McCain posing with Khalid al-Hamad – a “moderate” rebel who gained notoriety after a video of him eating the heart of a Syrian Army soldier went viral online. McCain has also admitted meeting with ISIS on national television, going so far as to acknowledge that he is still in contact with the infamous terrorist group.

Erdogan, for his part, was revealed to be a major player in the smuggling of Islamic State oil out of Syria for sale on the global market. It was these oil sales that enabled the Islamic State to grow into what it is today and to become one of the world’s most well-funded terror groups.

With such connections now well-documented, it seems unlikely that McCain and Erdogan discussed how to defeat the Islamic State. Based on the evidence, it seems much more likely that both remain eager to destabilize the region due to their shared goal of deposing Assad. With Turkey already working to destabilize Northern Syria by cutting off key resources, we will soon see what other measures may have been discussed during this “secret” meeting.

Benieuwd wat Rusland van deze ontwikkeling vindt, Putin heeft zich in een onmogelijke situatie gemanoeuvreerd, hoe kan hij zowel Assad als Erdogan te vriend houden......??? Mijn advies zou Assad zijn, hoewel de Bosporus en daarmee de toegang tot de Middellandse Zee, een sterk punt is voor de Turken......

* Al in 2013 betaalde de EU honderden miljoenen aan Turkije om de opvang van vluchtelingen te verbeteren. Deze was vreselijk, mensen werden in provisorische gevangenissen opgesloten, waar het aan alles ontbrak, dit in onherbergzame gebieden, waar noch journalisten, noch ngo's welkom zijn....... Daarna is in deze situatie niets veranderd, ook niet na het achterlijke miljarden vluchtelingen akkoord van de EU. Gegarandeerd dat ook ons belastinggeld t.b.v. van die opvang van vluchtelingen, voor het overgrote deel in de zakken van Erdogan en zijn misdadigers regering is gevloeid.........Onlangs nog een bericht over de opvang van vluchtelingen in Turkije op Aleke's Blog!: 'Vluchtelingen in Turkije!'
