Syrisch leger neemt posities in voor de strijd met de Turkse agressor

Het Turkse leger is deels tot stilstand gekomen bij het illegaal doordringen op Syrisch grondgebied, dit daar het reguliere Syrische leger samen met de Koerden al strategisch belangrijke posities heeft ingenomen in het gebied dat Turkije 'wil veilig stellen....' Gelukkig heeft de regering Assad ondanks dat de Koerden haar eerder bestreden, nu haar hulp toegezegd, dit na onderhandelingen op een Russische luchtmachtbasis.

De verhalen die je de laatste dagen op verschillende landelijke zenders in Nederland, België, Duitsland en Groot-Brittannië hoort, spreken van vreselijk oorlogsmisdaden begaan door het Turkse leger en de zogenaamde rebellen (lees: terroristen van o.a. het SDF* die Turkije bijstaan in haar bloedige veldtocht, tegen in feite Koerdische burgers die Turkije wil verjagen van hun geboortegrond.....)

Dat 'rebellen' steekt me weer vreselijk, een herhaling van zetten zoals de reguliere (massa-) media berichtten over de bevrijding van Aleppo door het Syrische leger en de Russen..... Het gaat hier niet om rebellen of verzetsmilities, maar om uiterst gewelddadige terreurgroepen, die de bevolking op een vreselijke manier het leven onmogelijk maken....

Zelfs vrouwen worden langs de kant van de weg geëxecuteerd, door Turkse militairen en 'rebellen' (ofwel beide strijdgroepen bestaan uit psychopathisch gewelddadige terroristen...).....

Ondanks dat een aantal EU landen een grote bek hebben tegen de Turken, gebeurt er niets, bang dat men is voor 'het openzetten van de poorten' t.b.v. vluchtelingen die naar de EU willen doorreizen, een dreigement gemaakt door de Turkse reli-fascistische autocraat Erdogan..... (het voorgaande ondanks dat de Turken in 8 jaar tijd al zo'n 9 miljard euro van de EU kregen voor een beschaafde opvang van vluchtelingen in Turkije, waar maar sprake van is in een paar model vluchtelingenkampen, de rest zit in provisorische kampen waar het aan alles ontbreekt en waar zelfs hele gezinnen gevangen worden gehouden...... Advocaten, EU-politici, mensenrechtenorganisaties, noch organisaties als de Rode Halve Maan of het Rode Kruis zijn welkom in die provisorische kampen......)

Kortom niet de EU en de VS komen op voor de Koerdische bevolking, maar de Syrische regering en het Syrische leger (en hopelijk de Russen) komen op voor de Koerden die zo hevig wordt getroffen door de grootschalige terreur van de Turken en de terreurgroepen die hen steunen (waaronder het SDF).......

De volgens eigen zeggen 'beste buitenlanddeskundige' van Nederland (ha! ha!) Bernhard Hammelburg, de bolronde sufferd van BNR, liet gisteren weten dat hij de klok had horen luiden, maar niet wist waar de klepel zich bevond: volgens Hammelburg heeft Erdogan de poorten opengezet naar Syrië (voor het Turkse leger), terwijl Erdogan zoals gezegd in dat verband sprak over de poorten naar de EU openzetten: als EU politici commentaar hebben op de illegale oorlog die hij is begonnen, zal hij de poorten openzetten voor de vluchtelingen in Turkije die richting EU willen trekken...... Voorts herhaalde Hammelburg wat analisten en echte deskundigen afgelopen weekeinde al hebben gezegd over de Turkse inval.....

Hammelburg had hooguit kunnen toevoegen dat de NAVO geen actie zal ondernemen tegen lidstaat Turkije, zoals de EU landen met een grote bek niets zullen doen, het reli-fascistische Turkije is een te grote klant van veel landen, of men lult braaf in het straatje van de VS, waar de Trump-administratie zogenaamd verontwaardigd is over de Turkse aanval op de Koerden, terwijl Trump daarvoor zijn fiat heeft gegeven aan Erdogan....... Vanmorgen werd bekend gemaakt dat de VS onder druk vanuit het congres en de senaat 50% importheffing zal leggen op importen uit Turkije (en dan maar hopen dat iemand in de gaten houdt of die heffing inderdaad wordt opgelegd door de VS, dat om het heel zachtjes uit te drukken 'niet geheel betrouwbaar is....')

De NAVO zal Turkije bij moeten staan, ook als het in Syrië wordt aangevallen door het Syrische leger, met steun van bijvoorbeeld de Iraanse luchtmacht (ik verwacht jammer genoeg niet dat Rusland zich militair zal bemoeien met deze zaak....)..... Aangezien de NAVO onder militair opperbevel van de VS staat, zou dit nog wel eens kunnen uitdraaien op een veel groter conflict, immers de VS zoekt al jaren een grote stok om Iran mee te slaan, waar het dan tevens het Syrische leger kan meenemen als doel..... Vandaar ook dat de VS (Pentagon) voorlopig niet al haar troepen zal terugtrekken uit Syrië, zelfs al zou Trump dat serieus willen.....

Duitsland is lekker hypocriet bezig: vanmorgen berichtte WDR dat Duitsland afziet van verdere wapenleveringen aan Turkije, waar de Duitse regering niet van plan is om bestaande contracten 'op hold' te zetten, nee die contracten mogen nageleefd worden met de levering van oorlogstuig waarmee Turkije Koerden vermoord, of het nu mannen, jongens, vrouwen, meisjes of ouden van dagen zijn....... Overigens reken maar dat Nederland hetzelfde zal doen........ Vuile hypocrieten!!

As Turkey Advances, Syrian Army Moves to Confront Invasion

(ANTIWAR.COM) — The Turkish military and its rebel allies are reporting more progress, and are advancing deeper into northern Syria. Though they previously promised to keep the offensive confined to 30 km from the border, there is growing concern that they’ll move further ultimately.

In reaction, the Syrian Army has begun deploying further north to potentially confront the Turkish advance. Though Syrian state media did not say where the Syrian troops were going, subsequent reports put them in Kobane and Manbij.

In Aleppo Province, the siege of Kurdish Kobane by ISIS was a major issue earlier in the war, and being right on the border it’s well within Turkey’s war goals. Manbij, a bigger and more important city, would clearly be a high priority for Turkey and its rebels, but falls at least partially beyond the 30 km safezone, meaning it’s a grey area how far Turkey will actually go.

Syria had already said they were intending to resist Turkey, but had suggested they weren’t interested in working with the Kurds, terming them “agents of Washington.” This seems to have changed, however, with recent reports that negotiations have been held on a Russian airbase inside Syria.

Though US arms have turned the Kurdish SDF* into a substantial faction, it doesn’t seem likely they could seriously resist a Turkish invasion. Though the Syrian military is potentially in a better position to slow them down, it seems inevitable that both sides will want to coordinate amid this big conflict.

VS oorlogshitsers wijzen hysterisch op aanslag als teken dat VS in Syrië moet blijven

De suïcide aanslag in het Syrische Manbij waarbij 2 militairen van de VS en 2 VS 'burgers' die samenwerken met het VS leger (ofwel huursoldaten) omkwamen, was het sein voor de reguliere media in de VS om hysterisch te gillen dat IS niet is verslagen en de VS moet doorgaan met haar illegale oorlog in Syrië..... IS heeft inderdaad de aanslag opgeëist, maar dat heeft IS intussen al zo vaak onterecht gedaan, dat het maar de vraag is of deze aanslag inderdaad door deze terreurorganisatie is uitgevoerd.

De schrijver van het hieronder opgenomen artikel, Caitlin Johnstone heeft zich goed pissig gemaakt over de reactie van de reguliere media in de VS, terwijl deze reactie volledig voorspelbaar was en is.... Maakt verder niet uit, de meer dan belachelijke reacties van de verschillende media-oorlogshitsers zijn het lezen meer dan de moeite waard. 

Met het voorgaande geven de reguliere massamedia in de VS nog eens aan dat ze volkomen in de zak zitten van: -de oorlogshitsers in het Pentagon, -de geheime diensten van de VS, -de wapenfabrikanten (inclusief de fabrikanten van rollend, varend en vliegend oorlogstuig), -de NAVO en -de oliemaffia (de laatsten verdienen in tijden van oorlog ook fiks meer)..... Overigens ook banken, de farmaceutische maffia en aandeelhouders kunnen fikse winsten boeken door oorlogsvoering.... (zo verdiende Nederland zich scheel aan de raffinage van cocaïne tijdens WOI, waar Nederland alle legers die in Frankrijk vochten van deze drug voorzag....)

(CJ Opinion) — A suicide bombing in Manbij, Syria has reportedly killed 19 people including four Americans, two of whom were US soldiers and two of whom worked with the US military. ISIS, which has an extensive history of falsely claiming responsibility for attacks it had nothing to do with, has claimed responsibility for the attack. Despite the fact that ISIS would claim responsibility for a housewife stepping on a Lego block, and despite the complete absence of evidence that it had anything to do with the deadly explosion, all the usual cheerleaders of endless war are pointing to the Manbij suicide bombing and shrieking “See?? Trump said ISIS is defeated and it’s not!”

“ISIS is still a very real threat here,” CNN international corespondent Clarissa Ward told Jake Tapper from northern Syria. “And the real concern that we are hearing over and over again on the ground, Jake, is that when US troops withdraw, a power vacuum is created, and that only gives them more strength.”

Virulent Syria war pundit Charles Lister, who is notorious for praising Al Qaeda and is a senior fellow at the Gulf state-funded neoconservative think tank Middle East Institute, told AFP that this attack invalidates Donald Trump’s order last month to withdraw troops from Syria.

“Trump’s order was reckless and driven far more by domestic political concerns than it was by facts on the ground,” Lister said, adding, “To suggest ISIS is ‘defeated’ because it no longer controls territory is to fundamentally misunderstand how ISIS and similar organizations seek to operate.”

Former John McCain ventriloquism dummy Lindsey Graham pounced like a rat on a cheese doodle on the opportunity to call for continued US troop presence within hours of the attack, interrupting the confirmation hearing of Attorney General nominee William Barr with an ejaculation about Trump’s Syria withdrawal.

Senator @LindseyGrahamSC this morning spoke about the attacks on American service members in Manbij, Syria.

“I would hope the President would look long and hard at where he’s headed in Syria,” Graham said after repeating the baseless claim that the attack was perpetrated by ISIS. “I know people are frustrated, but we’re never going to be safe here unless we’re willing to help people over there who will stand up against this radical ideology.”

Not to be left out when there are moronic war agendas to be sold, Fox News leapt into the fray with a quote from an anonymous foreign diplomat saying “This attack today is a direct result of the announcement made by President Trump that U.S. forces are pulling out. These troops had a bullseye on them when the president telegraphed that he was ordering a pullout.”

“ISIS has already claimed responsibility for today’s suicide attack, a reminder that the group is not defeated,” added Fox’s Jennifer Griffin.

MSNBC’s deranged intelligence analyst Malcolm Nance topped everyone as usual with a babbling nonsensical post about how US troops were killed in Manbij because there were no US troops in Manbij, proving that Assad and Putin may have allowed the attack to happen, which proves Trump is a Russian asset.

“The moment Russia and Assad took over patrolling Manbij on Trumps go ahead we get hit with suicide bombers for the first time. It’s possible Russia/Assad let the attack happen. Trump’s treachery on this matter now kills our special operators. #RussianAsset,” Nance tweeted between huffs of paint thinner.

Other voices are treating the reports about the bombing with a little more skepticism.

“If ISIS were smart it would hold its fire especially against Americans,” tweeted professor and author Max Abrahms. “The main justification for leaving Syria is the (contested) assessment ISIS is defeated. ISIS attacks convey the opposite, weakening the strategic rationale of withdrawal while making it politically harder.”

“Ok, so Trump announces that the U.S. will begin a phased withdrawal from Syria, which according to his critics, would only benefit ISIS who they say is still operational and would welcome a U.S. pull out. But not waiting for pull out ISIS then targets U.S. troops! Yeah right,” tweeted former Green Party vice presidential nominee Ajamu Baraka.

These are interesting points. If ISIS is indeed responsible for the bombing, as war pundits are unquestioningly asserting is the case, then they’re either really, really stupid or they really want US troops to remain in Syria. Or perhaps the attack was engineered by someone else who has a vested interest in keeping a US military presence in Syria, either using ISIS as a patsy or completely separate from ISIS. Wouldn’t be the first time a suspicious attack took place in Syria while the Trump administration was working to withdraw troops.

Of course, this whole debate ignores the most obvious point of all: that if there was no US military presence in Syria, there would be no US military personnel being killed in Syria. The fight against the terrorist forces who nearly overtook the nation with the help of the western power alliance’s imperialist support have been beaten to the brink of total defeat not by the US, but by the Syrian government and its allies. If US troops were removed Damascus would quickly restore stability to the region and continue rebuilding the war-ravaged nation. But this is precisely what these war whores do not want.

Syria is a strategically crucial geopolitical nation for reasons having to do with natural resources and the power dynamics of Israel, Iran, and the empire-aligned Gulf states. It is not a coincidence that so much energy gets poured into this small stretch of land and its surrounding nations by the western military alliance and its propaganda machine, and it’s unlikely that the global dominators will lose interest in Syria any time soon. Stay skeptical.

Om te laten zien, dat Turkije zich alles kan permitteren in het Midden-Oosten, heeft Erdogan bevel gegeven de waterdoorvoer van de Eufraat af te sluiten voor de Syrische grens. Geheel toevallig was dit vlak nadat VS opperschoft McCain een bezoek had gebracht aan Erdogan...........

Assad moet en zal weg, ook al zou dat tienduizenden doden kosten, daar doet de VS nooit moeilijk over........... Vanaf WOII heeft de VS meer dan 20 miljoen mensen vermoord in illegale oorlogen, of door het parachuteren van VS vriendelijke dictaturen, zoals in Zuid- en Midden-Amerika. Of het grote aantal doden dat 'gewoon' viel middels door de VS uitgevoerde standrechtelijke executies (buiten de VS), zoals die met drones, executies waarbij meer dan 90% van de omstaande slachtoffers niet eens verdacht was/is (waaronder vooral vrouwen en kinderen), want daar gaat het om: het executeren van verdachten, zonder tussenkomst van een rechter .... Ofwel beschaving anno 2017.....................

Nu heeft Turkije, tegen alle internationale verdragen in, de watertoevoer van een rivier afgesloten. Van die rivier is men o.a. in Aleppo afhankelijk wat betreft drinkwater, datzelfde geldt voor een heel groot gebied rond Aleppo. Ook worden elektriciteitscentrales gekoeld met dit water. U behoeft geen specialist te zijn, om te bedenken, dat dit een regelrechte ramp wordt, voor de zoveelste keer door (fascistische) 'mensenhand' gemaakt.........

Wanneer worden de westerse bevolkingen wakker en zeggen massaal nee, tegen het gemanipuleer en het voeren van illegale oorlogen door hun leiders in landen waar we niets te zoeken hebben, waarmee die westerse politieke leiders, allesbehalve de belangen van hun volk behartigen, iets dat wel hun taak is!! De westerse terreur in het Midden-Oosten en in delen van Afrika, creëert niet alleen grote ellende daar, maar fabriceert ook de terroristen die o.a. hier tekeer gaan.... Als het westen al wegtrekt blijven die landen volledig in puin achter en heerst er chaos, neem Libië, Afghanistan en Irak...... (oh nee, dom van mij 'het karwei' van vernietiging in Irak en Afghanistan is nog niet afgerond....)

Intussen worden de vluchtelingen die op de loop zijn voor de door het westen gecreëerde oorlogen, op een vreselijke manier behandeld, zoals in het Turkije van Erdogan...........* Waar de daders van die ellende, de westerse landen, geen of zo min mogelijk vluchtelingen binnen hun grenzen willen toelaten.....

Just a matter of days after John McCain made an “unusual” trip to Syria and Turkey, the Turkish government has cut off water supplies from the Euphrates River into northern Syria, violating international conventions on water rights.

(MINTPRESS) While some measure of stability has returned to pockets of northern Syria following the Syrian Army’s recent liberation of al-Qaeda from Aleppo and elsewhere, external forces seem determined to keep the region volatile, regardless of the cost. In the latest example of aggressive foreign intervention in Syria, Turkey, which has long played an antagonistic role in Syria’s nearly six-year-long conflict, has now cut off the flow of the Euphrates River into Syria, depriving the nation of one of its primary sources of water.

According to the Kurdish Hawar News Agency, Turkey cut water supplies to Syria around Feb. 23, which subsequently forced a hydroelectric plant at the Tishrin Dam to shut down while also significantly reducing water levels on its associated reservoir. The dam supplies both water and power to key parts of northern Syria, such as the city of Manbij and other parts of the predominantly Kurdish Kobani Canton.

The dam is one of several major dams along the Euphrates River. Just downstream from Tishrin lies the Tabqa Dam and its reservoir Lake Assad, which supplies Aleppo with most of its power and drinking water, as well as irrigation water for over 640,000 hectares (2,500 square miles) of farmland. A city official in Manbij told Hawar that the city would provide generator fuel to civilians to help cope with the blackout that has resulted from the river being cut off. The same official added that Turkey had “violated the international conventions of water and rivers energy by cutting off Euphrates water.”

This is not the first time Turkey has deprived Syrians of water as a means to advance their political goals in the region. Turkey previously cut the river off in May of 2014, causing water levels on Lake Assad to drop by over 20 feet and creating the potential for genocide by means of dehydration. By blocking the river, Turkey threatens Iraqi civilians as well. Major urban centers like Mosul, whose water supplies largely depend on reservoirs fed by the Euphrates, could be gravely impacted if the river continues to be blocked.

The act of cutting off the river is not unprecedented, but its timing is peculiar. Just days prior to Turkey’s act, U.S. Senator John McCain “secretly” visited the Kobani Canton, the very region that now finds itself without water, before heading to Turkey, where he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.  

According to the senator’s office, “Senator McCain’s visit was a valuable opportunity to assess dynamic conditions on the ground in Syria and Iraq.” It adds that McCain looks forward to working with the Trump administration and military leaders “to optimize our approach” on fighting the Islamic State.

While the U.S. has backed the Kurds in their fight to keep their territories along the Syrian-Turkish border free of terrorist influence, it has come at the cost of greatly complicating diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Turkey.  For example, in early 2016, Erdogan dramatically demanded that the U.S. choose between an alliance with Turkey or with the Syrian Kurds. The diplomatic stand-off has since reached new heights of tension, with Turkey threatening to invade Kurdish-held Manbij less than two weeks ago. Manbij is suffering the most from Turkey’s blockage of the Euphrates, suggesting that the move could be intended to destabilize the Kurds before something more drastic takes place.

It also warrants mentioning that despite Erdogan’s and McCain’s claims that they are eager to “defeat” the Islamic State and other terrorist factions, both have close ties to those very same groups. This, of course, suggests that McCain’s visit, as well as recent moves by Turkey, have ulterior motives that have yet to be publicly expressed.

For example, McCain has been so intent on removing Assad from power that he has fostered relationships with the Syria’s “moderate rebels” and its more notorious opposition factions such as the Islamic State. Photographic evidence has confirmed this, with one infamous photo showing McCain posing with Khalid al-Hamad – a “moderate” rebel who gained notoriety after a video of him eating the heart of a Syrian Army soldier went viral online. McCain has also admitted meeting with ISIS on national television, going so far as to acknowledge that he is still in contact with the infamous terrorist group.

Erdogan, for his part, was revealed to be a major player in the smuggling of Islamic State oil out of Syria for sale on the global market. It was these oil sales that enabled the Islamic State to grow into what it is today and to become one of the world’s most well-funded terror groups.

With such connections now well-documented, it seems unlikely that McCain and Erdogan discussed how to defeat the Islamic State. Based on the evidence, it seems much more likely that both remain eager to destabilize the region due to their shared goal of deposing Assad. With Turkey already working to destabilize Northern Syria by cutting off key resources, we will soon see what other measures may have been discussed during this “secret” meeting.

Deze was vreselijk, mensen werden in provisorische gevangenissen opgesloten, waar het aan alles ontbrak, dit in onherbergzame gebieden, waar noch journalisten, noch ngo's welkom zijn....... Daarna is in deze situatie niets veranderd, ook niet na het achterlijke miljarden vluchtelingen akkoord van de EU.
