Trump gaf Pompeo en anderen groen-licht voor het aanpakken van Iran, als het maar niet leidt tot Wereldoorlog III........

Ben bepaald geen aanhanger van Daily Beast, een 'sociaal mediaorgaan' dat door velen wordt gezien als een alternatief nieuwsplatform, terwijl het in feite een orgaan dat op een iets meer alternatieve manier het nieuws brengt dat de reguliere westerse (massa-) media brengen, dus veel 'fake news' en lobbyisme voor de inhumane neoliberale politiek die verreweg het grootste deel van de westerse landen in haar smerige greep heeft.

InformationClearing House heeft een artikel van Daily Beast overgenomen, waarin wordt gesteld dat Trump Pompeo groen licht heeft gegeven om Iran hard aan te pakken, met één restrictie: e.e.a. mag niet leiden tot Wereldoorlog III....... (moet zeggen dat dit me nog meevalt van de psychopathisch fascistische oorlogsmisdadiger Trump)

De schrijvers van het artikel, Erin Banco en Asawin Suebsaeng, stellen dat Trump de laatste weken een meer passieve rol heeft aangenomen als het gaat om het overzien van de politiek t.a.v. Iran en dat tot aan de inauguratie van Biden eind januari. (het is maar de vraag of dat werkelijk zo is, vergeet niet dat Trump goed bevriend is met een andere psychopathisch fascistische oorlogsmisdadiger, t.w. Netanyahu, de premier van Israël)  Een Witte Huis medewerker zou hebben gezegd dat Trump zich heeft uitgecheckt als het gaat om Iran....... (nogmaals dat lijkt me zeer onwaarschijnlijk)

Bij het voorgaande moet niet vergeten worden dat Trump op andere dossiers vooral de haviken aan de touwen laat trekken, zoals hij dat vanaf zijn aantreden heeft gedaan (zo heeft hij bijvoorbeeld het Pentagon toestemming gegeven om naar eigen inzicht troepen in te zetten in conflict gebieden, waardoor zijn administratie niet weet hoeveel VS militairen er echt in Syrië en andere door de VS in ellende gestorte landen aanwezig zijn) En ja ik weet het, als hem een bepaalde aanpak niet zint grijpt hij in op z'n meer dan belachelijke, 'onvoorspelbare' manier en zet mensen aan de kant, zo is het nu wachten op het moment dat hij Bill (William) Barr ontslaat, zijn minister van justitie, dit daar deze geen heil meer ziet in het aantekenen van protest tegen de verkiezingsuitslag of om nog meer hertellingen te eisen (Barr zou nu zelf overwegen op te stappen).

Waar de schrijvers volkomen hun gelijk halen is de stelling dat Trump en Pompeo het Biden onmogelijk willen maken om de nucleaire deal met Iran (JCPOA, of P5+1 nucleaire deal) nieuw VS leven in te blazen. Echter hier vergeten de 2 dat Biden eerder heeft laten weten dat hij de aanpak van Trump als het gaat om Iran en Venezuela slap vindt..... Is het slap dat door illegale sancties van de VS in Venezuela al meer dan 50.000 mensen zijn omgekomen?? (wat betekent dat er ook in Iran al enorm veel doden moeten zijn gevallen door de steeds strakker aangetrokken illegale sancties.....) Als je dit slap noemt kan er nog maar één sterkere actie ondernomen worden door Biden en dat is een illegale aanval inzetten tegen Iran......

De kans is groot dat de Trump administratie Israël de hete kolen uit het vuur laat halen, immers de samenwerking tussen de Mossad en de CIA zijn hecht, zoals ook de 2 schrijvers opmerken..... De aanslag op atoomgeleerde Mohsen Fakhrizadeh zou zijn uitgevoerd door Israël, echter de kans dat dit een samenwerking was tussen de VS en Israël is veel groter, vergeet niet dat de VS al een paar dagen voor die aanslag een aantal van haar grootste bommenwerpers (B52) naar Qatar heeft verplaatst, tegelijk met een aantal straaljagers en tankervliegtuigen..... Blijkbaar verwachtte Washington ellende en grote kans dat dit de opmaat is naar een aantal bombardementen op Iran....... De CIA gaf vorig jaar nog toe dat het al jaren subversieve acties uitvoert in Iran, acties als het opstoken van protesten en het steunen en coördineren van aanslagen door de uiterst gewelddadige Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK*), reken maar dat ook aanslagen op vooraanstaande Iraanse ambtenaren en politici daaronder vallen, niet alleen met bommen maar bijvoorbeeld ook middels 'noodlottige auto ongelukken' en andere acties die geen achterdocht wekken....

De aanslag op Fakhrizadeh is duidelijk bedoeld om Iran uit te lokken geweld te gebruiken, mocht dit in de vorm zijn van raketaanvallen op Israël (Iran beschikt over raketten die dit kunnen), is het zeker dat de VS zal ingrijpen, waarna Israël, de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten en Saoedi-Arabië een oorlog tegen Iran militair zullen steunen..... (oh ja, hoorde gisteren dat ook de Marokkaanse koning zich schaart in het legertje verraders van het zo verdrukte Palestijnse volk en vrede heeft gesloten met de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël..... Schande!!)

Het terreurspel van Israël en de VS tegen Iran is levensgevaarlijk en de kans dat dit tot een veel ernstiger conflict kan leiden is bijzonder groot.......

December 02, 2020 "Information Clearing House" - "Daily Beast" -  President Donald Trump may only have seven weeks left in office, but he’s given his top advisers the green light to batter the Iranian regime—anything that doesn’t hazard a full-on war before Joe Biden is inaugurated.

According to multiple U.S. officials familiar with the matter, in recent weeks Trump has taken a more passive role in personally overseeing Iran policy for the critical final months until Inauguration Day. One White House official last week described Trump as mostly “checked out” on this major foreign policy issue, having become consumed by his bumbling legal effort to steal the 2020 election amid the coronavirus pandemic, as well as by other his pet grievances of the moment.

But Trump has given some of his most hawkish administration officials, particularly his top diplomat, Mike Pompeo, carte blanche to squeeze and punish the Islamic Republic as aggressively as they wish in the coming weeks. All Trump asks is that they don’t risk “start[ing] World War III,” as the president has specifically put it in several private conversations with Pompeo and others, according to two senior administration officials.

That has left a host of options at the outgoing administration’s disposal—among them, a suffocating sanctions regime and a studied silence in the face of the assassination of Iranian nationals. Two officials who spoke to The Daily Beast said the administration is set to announce new sanctions on regime-linked companies and individuals in the coming weeks to solidify a years-long effort to paralyze Tehran’s economy.

Knowledgeable sources say those actions are designed to help fulfill various Trump officials’ long-brewing desire to make it more difficult for the Democratic president-elect to rekindle negotiations with Tehran and re-enter a nuclear deal. And it’s a scenario for which Biden lieutenants and allies have long prepared, having already factored into their Iran strategy that current U.S. officials would do nearly everything they could to undermine a revival of Obama-era relations between the adversarial nations.

Trump administration officials who spoke to The Daily Beast frequently point to Pompeo and Elliott Abrams, special representative for Iran, as the leaders of the administration’s last-ditch attempt at pummeling the regime.

Secretary Pompeo has been particularly forward leaning in the administration’s efforts to inflict damage on the Iranian government. In a recent trip to the Middle East, Pompeo met with leaders from Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain on ways all three countries could work together on countering the Islamic Republic. The trip followed on the heels of an announcement by the State Department that it had recently approved a massive sale of F-35 jets to the UAE. The deal has been widely viewed as a way to get Dubai to cooperate with Jerusalem on deterring Iran. And on Friday, Pompeo announced additional Iran-related sanctions, this time targeting Chinese and Russian entities for transferring sensitive technology and items to Iran’s missile program.

Both Pompeo and Abrams, officials say, are supportive of harsh measures, including the quiet backing of covert actions carried out by other actors. One other senior administration official pointed to Central Intelligence Agency Director Gina Haspel as being intimately involved in the administration’s clandestine strategy as it relates to Iran.

The president has repeatedly told his advisers that one of his priorities is to avoid a confrontation with Iran in which American military personnel would die. But Trump is comfortable letting Israel take the lead in targeting, or even slaying, Iranian regime figures in the closing weeks of his presidency, officials said. That includes Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the country’s top nuclear weapons scientist, who was killed Nov. 27 while traveling in a convoy in the northern part of the country.

Two senior Trump administration officials said Israel was behind the attack, confirming global suspicions. One of those same officials, while they did not detail the level of involvement from the U.S., noted that America’s intelligence agencies often share information with Israel on Iran-related matters.

“There’s obviously a close working relationship between Mossad chief Yossi Cohen and Haspel,” said Mark Dubowitz, the CEO of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a right leaning think tank that’s advised the Trump administration on Iran.

Some of the president’s confidants have urged him not to draw too much attention to the killing. The administration has chosen to remain mostly tight-lipped regarding the scientist’s death. A source close to Trump said they had counseled the president in the past few days to avoid gratuitously tweeting about the assassination. Not only would it be a “bad look,” according to this source, it would likely undermine the administration’s public position of keeping the operation at arm’s length, if not farther away.

The two senior administration officials said discussions about taking more active measures to limit Biden’s administration on negotiating a new deal with Iran ramped up this summer and coincided with several of Israel’s covert operations, including the killing of al Qaeda deputy leader Abu Muhammed in Iran, and Israel’s planting of a bomb in one of Iran’s centrifuge facilities.

“The Israelis understand that between now and Jan. 20 they will need to inflict maximum damage on the regime,” Dubowitz said.

The Trump strategy over the next few weeks is clear, one of the senior administration officials said: Continue to use sanctions as a deterrence tool while providing intelligence to regional allies such as Israel that have a mutual goal of damaging the Iranian regime.

That plan isn’t so different from the one the Trump administration has put into action over the past four years. Since Trump took office in 2017, a cohort of top officials, advisers, and external advocacy groups have helped craft and implement a “maximum pressure” campaign on Iran that has relied primarily on the implementation of more than 1,000 sanctions on regime-linked officials and companies while also covertly targeting Tehran’s assets overseas.

The only difference now, officials say, is that the administration not only wants to punish Iran, it also wants to pen in President-elect Biden.

Individuals involved in the crafting of the Trump administration’s Iran policy believe the maximum pressure campaign will limit Biden’s ability to get back on track with Tehran, namely because some of the sanctions may be difficult to lift, especially those focused on human-rights and terrorism. Dubowitz and Trump administration officials familiar with Iranian sanctions said multinational corporations may be so risk averse to doing business with Iran now, following thousands of financial designations, that even if Biden lifts sanctions they will not engage in normal trade relations with Tehran.

Individuals familiar with Team Biden’s thinking say the president-elect has a clear strategy for dealing with Iran and sanctions come January. That plan rests heavily on Biden’s desire to return back to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)—the nuclear deal negotiated during the Obama administration—if Iran comes back into compliance.

“If Iran takes the bait, which is clearly the intention behind [the Farikhzadeh assassination], then it probably makes it impossible to return to the JCPOA and diplomacy,” said Jarrett Blanc, the former coordinator for Iran nuclear implementation in the Obama State Department. “If Iran doesn’t take the bait… I don’t know that it really changes the choices that confront the Biden team or Iran in January.”

Any negotiations between a Biden administration and Iran would include conversations about the lifting of some sanctions, two individuals familiar with the Biden team’s thinking on Iran said. But those sanctions would likely only be lifted if and when Tehran complies with a deal.

“Iran says it is prepared to come back in compliance and reverse some of the decisions it’s made. And the U.S. says it would lift some of the sanctions. [There’s] no legal bar to reverse them. Many of them were imposed for political reasons,” said one former senior Obama administration official. “It’s likely going to be a two-step approach for Biden—getting back in and then perhaps renegotiating a different, better deal.”

Antifa activist Michael Reinoehl zonder enige vorm van proces geëxecuteerd door federale agenten

Precies 2 maanden voor de presidentsverkiezingen in de VS werd Michael Reinoehl vermoord door federale agenten, die naderhand beweerden dat Michael op hen had geschoten en daarna door hen werd neergeschoten, dit in tegenspraak tot meerdere getuigenverklaringen.......

Volgens deze getuigen hebben de agenten zelfs niet aangegeven wie ze waren en volgens hen zagen deze agenten eruit als een rechtse knokploeg..... De media namen de verklaring van de overheid zonder enige kritiek over, tot 6 weken na de moord de New York Times onderzoek deed naar wat er echt gebeurde en men ontdekte dat Michael geen wapen in z'n handen had (hij had een wapen in z'n broekzak en een wapen in de auto, een geweer in een hoes......)

Alles opgeteld is het dan ook duidelijk dat Michael willens en wetens is vermoord, hij moest dood...... Michael werd verdacht een fascist te hebben vermoord tijdens de Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstraties en was op de vlucht. Echter volgens hem handelde hij uit zelfverdediging daar de fascist op hem schoot.... Blijkbaar was men tot de conclusie gekomen dat Michael gelijk had, maar dat hij dankzij de ophitsende Tweets van psychopaat Trump en anderen over de dood van de fascist maar beter vermoord kon worden, zodat hij zijn zaak niet kon bepleiten..........

Trump is er dan ook trots op dat de federale politie Michael vermoordde, waarbij hij de gelogen getuigenis van de federale politie gebruikt en stelt dat hiermee is aangegeven dat Antifa activisten kunnen wachten op nog veel meer overheidsgeweld........ Trump heeft aangegeven dat Antifa moet worden opgerold het is volgens hem een terroristische organisatie...... Dat juist de tegenstanders van Antifa terreur uitoefenen interesseert hem geen bliksem, al is dat logisch, immers hij heeft meer dan eens bewezen zelf een fascist te zijn...... De fascisten die tegen BLM en hun demonstraties zijn, gebruiken meer en meer hun auto als wapen, sinds de demonstraties eerder dit jaar begonnen, na de politiemoord op George Floyd, zijn er meer dan 50 incidenten genoteerd waarbij deze fascisten met hun auto op mensen inreden......

Fox News en de Daily Caller hebben de (illegale) standrechtelijke executie door federale agenten van Reinoehl toegejuicht......

Aan de andere kant kunnen neonazi's tekeergaan met wapens zonder ook maar een letter aan kritiek te krijgen van Trump en zijn psychopathisch fascistische administratie........

Je kan er dan ook donder op zeggen dat bij volgende BLM demonstraties nog meer geweld zal worden gebruikt door fascisten en federale agenten (als deze agenten weer worden ingezet....)....

In Trump’s America, There Is Death Before Due Process

The federal government’s killing of Michael Reinoehl exactly two months before the November 3 presidential race ought to have been one of the most high-profile election issues being discussed in America. Instead, it has been almost forgotten save for some media outlets starting to question the official narrative of his death. The little-known self-proclaimed “antifa” activist was killed by federal agents on September 3. Officers claimed that he had fired shots at them before being gunned down. But a week after his killing, the Washington Post found that “the wanted man wasn’t obviously armed.”

The Thurston County sheriff in Lacey, Washington, where the suspect was killed, released a public statement saying his investigation team “can confirm… that Mr. Reinoehl pointed the handgun that he had in his possession at the officers at the time of the shooting.” The U.S. Marshals Service whose forces were the ones that shot Reinoehl released a similar statement claiming that the fugitive task force that had been sent to his location “attempted to peacefully arrest him,” but, after being shot at, “Task force members responded to the threat and struck the suspect who was pronounced dead at the scene.”

News outlets took the official statements at their word and dutifully reported the incident as one where a suspected killer opened fire on officers and was fatally shot in the course of his arrest. In other words, there was “nothing to see here.” But according to a New York Times investigation six weeks after his death, it remains unclear “whether law enforcement officers made any serious attempt to arrest Mr. Reinoehl before killing him.”

According to nearly two dozen witnesses that the New York Times spoke to, “all but one said they did not hear officers identify themselves or give any commands before opening fire.” Even though Reinoehl was armed at the time of his death, his handgun was found in his pocket and an AR-style rifle in a bag in his car, suggesting he did not threaten the officers trying to arrest him as official accounts had initially claimed.

Reinoehl was wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a Trump-supporting right-wing activist named Aaron J. Danielson during Black Lives Matter protests in Portland, Oregon. President Donald Trump ranted on Twitter on the day he was killed, “Why aren’t the Portland Police ARRESTING the cold blooded killer” and adding, “Everybody knows who this thug is.” Later he hailed the fatal shooting triumphantly, saying in a Fox News interview:

“We sent in the U.S. Marshals for the killer, the man who killed the young man on the street.… Two and a half days went by, and I put out [on Twitter], ‘When are you going to go get him?’ And the U.S. Marshals went in to get him, and they ended in a gunfight. This guy was a violent criminal, and the U.S. Marshals killed him. And I’ll tell you something—that’s the way it has to be. There has to be retribution when you have crime like this.”

In referring to Reinoehl as a “cold blooded killer” and “violent criminal” even though at the time of his death he was a suspect, Trump made clear that in his America, “law and order” means you are guilty before being proven so and can be targeted for extrajudicial assassination if those in power decide you deserve it. Such shocking words coming from any other head of state in the world would trigger instant condemnations from the U.S. State Department. Speaking to his supporters, Trump boasted of the “great job” that U.S. Marshals did in Portland, adding meaningfully, “you know what I mean.”

Attorney General William Barr, who appears to have no understanding of how the nation’s system of criminal justice is supposed to work, released a statement praising the federal troops’ actions and echoing Trump’s words in more official-sounding language. Barr called Reinoehl, “a dangerous fugitive, admitted Antifa member, and suspected murderer,” and said before any investigation into the killing was complete that “[w]hen Reinoehl attempted to escape arrest and produced a firearm, he was shot and killed by law enforcement officers.” In doing so, Barr too justified this extrajudicial assassination as Trump did and went as far as calling the whole incident, “a significant accomplishment in the ongoing effort to restore law and order to Portland and other cities.” He applauded “the fugitive task force team that located Reinoehl and prevented him from escaping justice.”

To Barr, the top law enforcement official in the nation, “justice” meant death, rather than arrest followed by charges and a fair trial. To Barr and Trump, the constant drumbeat of “law and order” is essentially a promise to fatally punish those perceived as enemies of the government.

In addition to the Washington Post and the New York Times, several other media outlets have corroborated that Reinoehl’s killing appeared unjustified. Rolling Stone characterizes one eyewitness’s account of the scene as “a violent ambush” that “resembled an execution.” Oregon Public Broadcasting in collaboration with ProPublica spoke to witnesses who said that the officers shot him without warning and “looked less like law enforcement officers than members of a right-wing militia.”

In a VICE News interview released just after his death, Reinoehl can be seen claiming that he acted in self-defense in Portland—just as an attorney for Kyle Rittenhouse, the Trump-supporting armed suspect in the Kenosha, Wisconsin, killing of two Black Lives Matter activists, said. With Reinoehl dead at the hands of U.S. Marshals, we will never know the truth.

Instead, Reinoehl now serves as the perfect symbol of the shadowy enemy that Trump rails against. A participant in Black Lives Matter protests, Reinoehl claimed he was “100% ANTIFA all the way.” The president’s promise to designate “ANTIFA” (which is an ideology, not an organization) as “a Terrorist Organization” has fed into dangerous notions designed to create panic among his base. It has raised the specter of “violent mobs” terrorizing communities that only swift government action of the sort aimed at Reinoehl can quell.

But who are the “violent mobs” really? In Trump’s world, armed self-defense is acceptable only for white supremacists who support him, not for the left-wing activists they routinely threaten and hurt. Since protests began earlier this year, according to NPR, “Right-wing extremists are turning cars into weapons, with reports of at least 50 vehicle-ramming incidents” at protests against police brutality. Conservative news outlets including Fox News and the Daily Caller have encouraged such attacks. Even the Department of Homeland Security’s latest threat assessment identifies, “racially and ethnically motivated violent extremists—specifically white supremacist extremists,” as “the most persistent and lethal threat in the Homeland” among what the agency designates as “Domestic Violent Extremists” or DVEs.

As if to underscore the threat, more than a dozen white men were just arrested (without being harmed) in connection with a kidnapping plot aimed at Michigan’s Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The governor, who is among several women who have faced Trump’s online ire, said, “I do believe that there are still serious threats that groups like this group, these domestic terrorists, are finding comfort and support in the rhetoric coming out of Republican leadership in the White House to our state house.”

In Trump’s America, white nationalist armed vigilante men reign supreme while those of us speaking out against fascism are symbolized by Reinoehl—and like him will be not be considered innocent until proven guilty. We will never know whether or not Reinoehl was guilty of murdering Danielson, as he was not given a chance to stand trial. In Trump’s America, there will be no law, only order. To Trump, “[t]here has to be retribution,” rather than due process. Among the many issues at stake in the November 3 election, this ought to be a central concern.

Dezelfde media die nog steeds volhouden dat Rusland de verkiezingen in de VS heeft gemanipuleerd ten gunste van Trump, zonder dat daar enig bewijs voor kan worden geleverd en het al lang duidelijk is dat er geen sprake was van ' Russiagate.....' Dit geldt overigens voor alle reguliere westerse media, zoals die in ons land, hoe bestaat het dat deze media, met de vuilbek vol van 'fake news' (nepnieuws), ondanks alle bewijs van het tegendeel, vol blijven houden dat er wel degelijk sprake is van een Russische manipulatie van de verkiezingen in de VS......  Dit aangevuld met dezelfde ongefundeerde beschuldigingen t.a.v. het Brexit referendum, het Catalaanse onafhankelijkheidsreferendum en ga nog maar even door, D66 mafketel en godbetert minister Ollongren beweert zelfs dat de Russen hier zo ongeveer allles manipuleren..... ha! ha! ha! ha! Ik heb op deze plak al veel geschreven over de valse beschuldigingen aan het adres van Rusland en in feite Trump (hoewel ik de pest heb aan de psychopathische fascist), je zou denken dat je alles wel gehad hebt, echter de desinteresse van de reguliere media, laat me weer verbijsterd achter.... Ach het zoveelste bewijs dat de media in handen zijn van plutocraten die de huidige status quo beschermen, een status quo waarin men Rusland en China als vijanden ziet, immers dat is goed voor het militair-industrieel complex, waar de eigenaren van die media grootaandeelhouders zijn van de wapenindustrie en ja die industrie heeft continu een vijand nodig om de winsten te blijven opvoeren.......

De VS is de grootste terreurentiteit op onze kleine planeet en heeft sinds het eind van WOII al meer dan 22,5 miljoen mensen vermoord in illegale oorlogen, het organiseren van staatsgrepen en middels het vermoorden van verdachten middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht.......Alleen deze eeuw is de VS al 4 illegale oorlogen begonnen en heeft het illegale oorlogen elders militair gesteund en geregisseerd, daarbij zijn meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen vermoord en dat is een cijfer van een paar jaar geleden.....

Het voorgaande werd verricht met de regelmatige hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten, hielenlikkers van de VS zoals Nederland, mede verantwoordelijk voor de enorme massamoorden die uit naam van 'de vrijheid en het brengen van democratie' worden begaan en dat veelal juist tegen democratisch gekozen regeringen...... De VS en haar hielenlikkers beweren democratie en stabiliteit te brengen, echter met de westerse terreur worden er bloedige dictators geparachuteerd die schijt hebben aan democratie, vrijheid van meningsuiting en alle andere zogenaamd in het westen gekoesterde burgerrechten, waarvoor niet alleen enorme slachtingen worden aangericht, maar waar de overlevenden ook nog eens in diepe ellende en chaos worden gestort........ Stabiliteit door grootschalige VS terreur? ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Terug naar Obama, de Nobelprijs voor de Vrede winnaar, die niet alleen illegale oorlogen begon, maar ook heeft meegholpen aan de Russiagate leugen. More willful blindness by the media on spying by Obama administration

July 27, 2020 "Information Clearing House" (ICH) -The Washington press corps seems engaged in a collective demonstration of the legal concept of willful blindness, or deliberately ignoring the facts, following the release of yet another declassified document which directly refutes prior statements about the investigation into Russia collusion. The document shows that FBI officials used a national security briefing of then candidate Donald Trump and his top aides to gather possible evidence for Crossfire Hurricane, its code name for the Russia investigation.

It is astonishing that the media refuses to see what is one of the biggest stories in decades. 

The Obama administration targeted the campaign of the opposing party based on false evidence. The media covered Obama administration officials ridiculing the suggestions of spying on the Trump campaign and of improper conduct with the Russia investigation. When Attorney General William Barr told the Senate last year that he believed spying did occur, he was lambasted in the media, including by James Comey and others involved in that investigation. The mocking “wow” response of the fired FBI director received extensive coverage.

The new document shows that, in summer 2016, FBI agent Joe Pientka briefed Trump campaign advisers Michael Flynn and Chris Christie over national security issues, standard practice ahead of the election. It had a discussion of Russian interference. But this was different. The document detailing the questions asked by Trump and his aides and their reactions was filed several days after that meeting under Crossfire Hurricane and Crossfire Razor, the FBI investigation of Flynn. The two FBI officials listed who approved the report are Kevin Clinesmith and Peter Strzok.

Clinesmith is the former FBI lawyer responsible for the FISA surveillance conducted on members of the Trump campaign. He opposed Trump and sent an email after the election declaring “viva the resistance.” He is now under review for possible criminal charges for altering a FISA court filing. The FBI used Trump adviser Carter Page as the basis for the original FISA application, due to his contacts with Russians. After that surveillance was approved, however, federal officials discredited the collusion allegations and noted that Page was a CIA asset. Clinesmith had allegedly changed the information to state that Page was not working for the CIA.

Strzok is the FBI agent whose violation of FBI rules led Justice Department officials to refer him for possible criminal charges. Strzok did not hide his intense loathing of Trump and famously referenced an “insurance policy” if Trump were to win the election. After FBI officials concluded there was no evidence of any crime by Flynn at the end of 2016, Strzok prevented the closing of the investigation as FBI officials searched for any crime that might be used to charge the incoming national security adviser.

Documents show Comey briefed President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden on the investigation shortly before the inauguration of Trump. When Comey admitted the communications between Flynn and Russian officials appeared legitimate, Biden reportedly suggested using the Logan Act, a law widely seen as unconstitutional and never been used to successfully convict a single person, as an alternative charge against Flynn. The memo contradicts eventual claims by Biden that he did not know about the Flynn investigation. Let us detail some proven but mostly unseen facts.

First, the Russia collusion allegations were based in large part on the dossier funded by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC). The Clinton campaign repeatedly denied paying for the dossier until after the election, when it was confronted with irrefutable evidence that the money had been buried among legal expenditures. As New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman wrote, “Folks involved in funding this lied about it and with sanctimony for a year.”

Second, FBI agents had warned that dossier author Christopher Steele may have been used by Russian intelligence to plant false information to disrupt the election. His source for the most serious allegations claims that Steele misrepresented what he had said and that it was little more than rumors that were recast by Steele as reliable intelligence.

Third, the Obama administration had been told that the basis for the FISA application was dubious and likely false. Yet it continued the investigation, and then someone leaked its existence to the media. Another declassified document shows that, after the New York Times ran a leaked story on the investigation, even Strzok had balked at the account as misleading and inaccurate. His early 2017 memo affirmed that there was no evidence of any individuals in contact with Russians. This information came as the collusion stories were turning into a frenzy that would last years.

Fourth, the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller and inspectors general found no evidence of collusion or knowing contact between the Trump campaign and Russian officials. What inspectors general did find were false statements or possible criminal conduct by Comey and others. While unable to say it was the reason for their decisions, they also found statements of animus against Trump and his campaign by the FBI officials who were leading the investigation. Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified he never would have approved renewal of the FISA surveillance and encouraged further investigation into such bias.

Finally, Obama and Biden were aware of the investigation, as were the administration officials who publicly ridiculed Trump when he said there was spying on his campaign. Others, like House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, declared they had evidence of collusion but never produced it. Countless reporters, columnists, and analysts still continue to deride, as writer Max Boot said it, the spinning of “absurd conspiracy theories” about how the FBI “supposedly spied on the Trump campaign.”

Willful blindness has its advantages. The media covered the original leak and the collusion narrative, despite mounting evidence that it was false. They filled hours of cable news shows and pages of print with a collusion story discredited by the FBI. Virtually none of these journalists or experts have acknowledged that the collusion leaks were proven false, let alone pursue the troubling implications of national security powers being used to target the political opponents of an administration. But in Washington, success often depends not on what you see but what you can unsee.

Militairen op de straten van Washington: VS op weg naar een burgeroorlog

Trump heeft het dan eindelijk voor elkaar, op de straten van Washington zijn militairen te zien, van wie de insignes en andere legerkenmerken op de uniformen, plus de namen zijn verborgen....... Het is wat mij betreft wel zeker dat het hier om VS militairen gaat, zeker daar kenmerken en namen niet te zien zijn....... Dat verbergen van kenmerken en namen doet men daar het in de VS een gotspe is om militairen voor de bewaking van de openbare orde in te zetten. Het inzetten van militairen op straat is een zaak waar de politici in de VS zo over tekeergaan als dit elders gebeurt, let wel: dat doen die politici alleen als het een land betreft dat zich niet welwillend overgeeft aan de nukken van Washington.....

De VS is hard op weg is richting een burgeroorlog, een kandidaat voor het gouverneurschap van Virginia, heeft rechtse wapenbezitters opgeroepen zich bewapend op straat te verzetten tegen leden van Antifa, alsof dit een buitenlandse terreurgroep is en niet een groep burgers die zich verzet tegen fascisme en het ongelijk behandelen van gekleurde burgers in de VS.....

Het is voor de bevolking in de VS niet te hopen dat het op een burgeroorlog uitdraait, echter voor de rest van de wereld zou het een verademing zijn, immers dan is de VS verplicht om een groot aantal militairen terug te trekken uit gebieden waar het illegaal oorlog voert, en/of waar dat leger illegaal verblijft.

De VS is verworden tot een politiestaat, waar de huidige Trump administratie duidelijk fascistisch is, een combinatie waar je niet aan moet denken, althans als je in de VS zou wonen...... (overigens ook dat feit kan uiteindelijk grote gevolgen hebben voor de rest van de wereld...) De politie in de VS is de laatste 20 jaar gemilitariseerd en rijdt bij tijd en wijle met pantserwagens door de straten, waar agenten er veelal uitzien als speciale legereenheden (zie daarvoor de op één na laatste foto in het artikel hieronder)........

Eergisteren bracht ik het bericht over militairen in de straten van Washington als brekend nieuws, echter zo te zien was e.e.a. al op 2 juni jl. bekend, heb er echter niets over gehoord op de nationale radiozenders van Nederland, België, Duitsland en GB, ook de alternatieve media die ik volg hebben hier niet over bericht...... Nicht sehr gesprächig: Die unidentifizierbaren Sicherheitsbeamten im Washington.

Die US-Armee hat Soldaten nach Washington verlegt. Die Nationalgarde und verschiedene Polizeieinheiten sind schon vor Ort. Doch eine weitere Gruppe von Sicherheitsbeamten, die sich scheinbar nicht identifizieren wollen, sorgt in den USA für wilde Spekulationen.

Sie stehen auf den Straßen der US-amerikanischen Hauptstadt Washington und verbergen sowohl ihren Namen als auch ihren Arbeitgeber – ein höchst ungewöhnlicher Vorgang, der in den USA für einigen Wirbel sorgte.

Videos und Fotos der mysteriösen, bewaffneten Einheiten kursierten schnell im Netz. Ein Bewohner Washingtons twitterte, dass es ihm in der Hauptstadt momentan "wie unter einer Art militärischer Besatzung" vorkomme.

Laut einem Bericht des US-amerikanischen Nachrichtensenders NBC News handelt es sich zumindest bei einigen der Männer um Sicherheitsbeamte, die normalerweise Gefangene in Gefängnissen beaufsichtigen.

Der demokratische Senator des US-Bundesstaates Connecticut, Chris Murphy, sieht sich an Methoden von Diktatoren erinnert. In einer Erklärung sagte er: "Präsident Trump versucht, friedliche Demonstranten einzuschüchtern, indem er nicht identifizierbare und nicht rechenschaftspflichtige Bundesvollzugsbeamte und Mitglieder der Streitkräfte durch die Straßen von D. C. [Washington] streifen lässt." Und er ergänzte:

Die Vereinigten Staaten würden diese Taktik normalerweise verurteilen, wenn sie von Diktatoren anderer Länder angewandt wird, und ihre Anwendung hier bedroht direkt unsere Demokratie.

Der Vertreter des US-Bundesstaates Virginia im Kongress, Don Beyer, sagte, er sei erst auf das Thema aufmerksam geworden, als ein Wähler ihn angerufen habe, um ihm mitzuteilen, dass er Polizeibeamte mit schwarzem Klebeband über ihren Abzeichen und Namen gesehen habe. "So etwas habe ich noch nie gesehen", sagte Beyer gegenüber NBC News. 
"Ich war entsetzt."

"Diese Leute könnten irgendjemand sein. Ihnen wurde fast Straffreiheit für alles, was sie tun würden, gewährt, weil es schwierig war, sie zu identifizieren", so Beyer. Und er ergänzte:

Und wenn wir eine Strafverfolgung und sogar ein Militär wollten, das außer Kontrolle geraten ist, stellen Sie einfach sicher, dass Sie sie nicht zur Rechenschaft ziehen können.

Bei einer Pressekonferenz am Donnerstag sagte der US-Generalstaatsanwalt William Barr, dass ihm nicht bekannt sei, dass Mitarbeiter des Gefängnisbüros angewiesen wurden, sich nicht auszuweisen, und dass sie sich nicht ausweisen müssten, da sie normalerweise nicht außerhalb der Gefängnisse tätig seien. Gleichzeitig zeigte er aber Verständnis für die Beamten. Er könnte verstehen, warum einige dieser Personen einfach nicht mit den Leuten darüber reden wollten, wer sie sind, wenn dies tatsächlich der Fall gewesen sei.

Offenbar scheint Washington nicht der einzige Ort in den USA zu sein, an dem die mysteriösen Beamten auftauchten. Einige Twitter-Posts erwähnen ähnliche Vorfälle bei den Protesten in Philadelphia.

"Wie soll jemand sicher wissen, dass er überhaupt ein echter Polizist ist?", schrieb ein Twitter-Nutzer zu einem Foto, das einen Beamten in schwarzer Uniform zeigt, dessen Name und Abzeichen überklebt sind.
