Grote internetplatformen als Facebook en Twitter weren in de VS anti-oorlog boodschappen en berichten, voorts worden giften geblokkeerd.....

Ja ik weet het, eigenlijk niets nieuws dat de grote internetbedrijven als Twitter, Instagram en Facebook kritiek van hun platformen weren, kritiek als die op de huidige westerse neoliberale status quo en daarmee ook commentaar op de illegale oorlogen van de VS in het Midden-Oosten.....

Het lijkt erop dat er een nieuwe illegale oorlog van de VS voor de deur staat (de VS is de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde) en dat zorgt blijkbaar voor nog heftiger censuur, die niet thuishoort in een democratie maar in een dictatuur..... Al kan je de VS onmogelijk nog een democratie noemen, immers men probeert met man en macht een fiks aantal mensen hun stemrecht te ontnemen, dan wel tegen te werken dat men een stem uit kan brengen..... Dan is er nog de herindeling van districten die roet in de democratische soep gooit, trouwens de enorme kapitalen die worden uitgegeven aan deze verkiezingen, dit door grote bedrijven*, plus de giften van de super welgestelden, geven al aan voor wie de komende regering de belangen zal behartigen......

Eén van de slachtoffers is The Grayzone die berichtte over het verwijderen van accounts in Iran, Syrië en Venezuela, niet alleen dat ook giften aan dit alternative nieuwsmedium werden en worden geblokkeerd (zo meer daarover).....

Overigens is het bij ons niet veel beter, we zitten in het westen dan ook met z'n allen in een inhumane en ijskoude neoliberale maatschappij, waar geld voor alles gaat (Geld über alles!)...... Een neoliberale staus quo waar westerse regeringen samen met de financiele sector, het IMF, de Wereldbank, het militair-industrieel complex, oliemaatschappijen en multinationale bedrijven bedrijven, de reguliere westerse media en de grote internetplatforms (waarover ik zo even sprak), de dienst uitmaken (niet te vergeten natiuurlijk de 'gewone grote bedrijven' zonder buitenlandse vestiging)...... Het e.e.a. wordt in de meeste gevallen zelfs aangestuurd door de geheime diensten, de NAVO en gesteund door griezelclubs en 'denktanks' als respectievelijk de Bilderbergconferentie, de Atlantic Counsil en het Haags Centrum voor Strategische Studies (HCSS), waar de laatste 2 ook nog eens lobbyclubs zijn voor: het militair-industrieel complex,de agressieve buitenlandpolitiek van de VS en de volgzame andere NAVO-partners...... 

In feite maken alle aangeduide bedrijven zich schuldig aan machtmisbruik en nogmaals dat hoort thuis in een dictatuur, zo ging het onder Hitler tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog prima
met veel West-Europese bedrijven, neem de Nederlandse bunkerbouwers als Zwolsman en Amsterdamse Ballast Maatschppij, het huidige Ballast Nedam.....

Oorlog betekent nu eenmaal poen en aangezien de grote internetreuzen en massamedia in handen zijn van plutocraten of investeringsgroepen met ongezond veel geld, moeten die oorlogen worden gesteund in die media..... Goed voor de aandelen in het militair-industrieel complex en de oliemaatschappijen, om over de aandelen in particuliere, paramilitaire huurlingenlegers nog maar te zwijgen..... 

Het ergst val al is wel dat Trump volmondig in het openbaar heeft verklaard dat de VS aan oorlogen moet verdienen, niets nieuws, immers dat doet de VS al heel lang (maar dan min of meer stiekem), neem alleen al de bedrijven uit de VS die de wederopbouw doen van een door de VS, in één van haar illegale oorlogen, aan stukken gebombardeerd land.... Dat oliemaatschappijen profiteren van zo'n oorlog is niet alleen omdat de prijzen van brandstoffen de lucht inschieten als terreurentiteit VS weer een oorlog start, maar ook door het verkrijgen van rechten voor olie of gaswinning in zo'n land........ (dubbele winst over de rug van duizenden vermoorde burgers, de teller van het aantal van deze vermoorde brugers staat voor de VS deze eeuw al op meer dan 2,5 miljoen!! Al hebben andere NAVO-lidstaten, als Nederland meegedaan aan deze grootschalige terreur....)

(TMU) — Instagram and its parent company Facebook are removing posts that appear to be in support of the late Iranian commander Qassem Soleimani in order to comply with U.S. sanctions, a company spokesperson recently told CNN.

“We operate under U.S. sanctions laws, including those related to the U.S. government’s designation of the IRGC and its leadership,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

The Iranian government has responded by calling for legal action against Instagram, going so far as to create a portal for the users to submit posts that have been removed by the social media giant. Iran’s government spokesperson, Ali Rabiei called the move “undemocratic.”

Unlike Facebook and Twitter, Instagram is not blocked in Iran. Despite this, Twitter’s position on the matter is that as long as users abide by its rules the social media platform will not seek to remove posts. That being said, independent news outlet the Grayzone reported that Twitter suspended dozens of accounts run by people in Venezuela, Syria, and Iran—including Iran’s supreme leader—during the first two weeks of January.

Instagram removed Soleimani’s own account last April shortly after the U.S. government designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a foreign terrorist organization. Less publicized is the recent decision by Iran’s parliament to designate all U.S. forces as “terrorists” following the assassination of Soleimani.

The pressure on social media companies to give effect to U.S. sanctions has also led to the removal of posts by Instagram which were posted by outspoken critics of the IRGC, including human rights advocate Emadeddin Baghi. Unsurprisingly, the International Federation of Journalists released a statement declaring Instagram’s actions as going “against global standard principles including freedom of speech and media.”

However, Instagram and Facebook are not the only companies cracking down on speech that could be construed as supporting Soleimani. According to the Grayzone’s Ben Norton, a French reader attempted to donate $10 to the independent media outlet, writing “I am making this donation to The Grayzone for the sake of free speech and balanced reporting, particularly in regard to recent events in Iraq and Iran.” PayPal then froze the payment as it did with many others.

Around the same time, Facebook also censored a Grayzone video which sought to report on Hezbollah, Iran, and U.S. president Donald Trump.

According to CNN Business, Google did not comment on its policy on this issue when contacted. However, YouTube—owned by Google—has also allegedly removed all PressTV videos with the exception of PressTV Francais. PressTV is funded by the Iranian government and has been targeted by both Google and YouTube in the past. A brief search by the Mind Unleashed at the time of writing was unable to locate an official PressTV YouTube channel, confirming the assertion that it has been removed.

As the Grayzone notes in its reports, Silicon Valley Tech companies have for some time been partnering up with shadowy think-tanks, helping to assist the U.S. government in its apparent bid to control the boundaries of free speech and political dissent. In 2018, 
Facebook and Twitter jointly shut down a range of antiwar and anti-corruption pages under the guise of fighting spam accounts.

Donald Trump’s recent warning to Iran not to shut down its Internet makes little sense in the context of what has been described above. According to the U.S. government, Iranians should not be restricted in their usage of the internet—but only if that usage advances the agenda of the U.S. foreign policy establishment.

Twitter verwijdert accounts vanwege 'propaganda', maar werkt zelf met een militair propagandist

Twitter heeft eindelijk duidelijk gemaakt voor wie men echt werkt: voor de overheid van landen als de VS en Groot-Brittannië en dat wordt met grote graagte gepropageerd...... Een Twitter topfunctionaris, t.w. Gordon MacMillan, werkt ook voor het Britse leger en houdt zich daar o.a. bezig met propaganda maken, letterlijk als onderdeel van een leger propaganda eenheid die voor dat doel is opgericht, de 77ste brigade van het Britse leger......

Het voorgaande, terwijl Twitter veel accounts heeft opgeheven van landen die niet VS gezind zijn, daar er propaganda gemaakt zou worden...... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Hoe totaal hypocriet kan een organisatie zijn? Overigens niet alleen Twitter censureert accounts van landen die niet in lijn lopen met wat de VS eist, maar ook individuele accounts van mensen die of werken voor alternatieve nieuwssites, dan wel zelf op een website of blog schrijven en alternatieve opiniemakers, daar deze zich zouden bezighouden met het manipuleren van het publiek en het brengen van fake news (nepnieuws)..... In werkelijkheid gaat het voor een groot deel om mensen die juist de manipulaties door de reguliere media en de enorme bak fake news van diezelfde media* openbaar aan de schandpaal nagelen....

Op de vraag aan Twitter door Middle East Eye (MEE) hoe e.e.a. mogelijk is, volgde het volgende antwoord: "Twitter is an open, neutral and rigorously independent platform. We actively encourage all our employees to pursue external interests in line with our commitment to healthy corporate social responsibility, and we will continue to do so." ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! Wat een stel niet neutrale en afhankelijke oplichters, jezus!!

We leven in het westen zogenaamd in een vrije wereld waar vrijheid van meningsuiting als groot goed werd gezien, totdat de sociale media roet in het eten gooiden en het publiek op de waarheid wezen.... Ondanks dat jihadisten onze vrijheid van meningsuiting verfoeien en waar 'we' ons zogenaamd met z'n allen tegen hebben verzet: "Je suis Charlie" (Hebdo), is de vrijheid van meningsuiting de grote vijand geworden van de bestaande westerse status quo en de reguliere media die vooraan zouden moeten staan om het recht op vrije meningsuiting te verdedigen...... 

Echter deze reguliere (massa-) media hebben zich door de plutocratische en institutionele eigenaars in 'de neoliberale mangel' laten nemen, waardoor die media nu in feite tegen de vrijheid van meningsuiting zijn..... 'Mooi voorbeeld' is de overleden 'journalist' Max van Weezel, deze hufter durfde een paar jaar geleden voor de radio te zeggen dat hij zeker niet alles zomaar in de media zou brengen (ik meen in een gesprek over WikiLeaks)...... Voorts zou ik willen wijzen op de enorme bak fake news (nepnieuws) van die media, neem alleen al de berichtgeving voorafgaand en tijdens de illegale oorlogen die de VS deze eeuw begon.....*

The fact that Twitter not only employs known propagandists but actively promotes them to executive positions is a very large and inconvenient plot hole in their "open, neutral and rigorously independent platform" story. Especially since, as I documented recently, the mass purges of foreign Twitter accounts we've been seeing more and more of lately always exclusively target governments and groups which are not in alignment with the interests of the US-centralized power alliance of which the UK is a part. True, they operate in a way which disregards the official lines that are drawn between government power and corporate power and the lines that are drawn between nations, but then, so do our rulers. We are living in a globe-spanning corporate oligarchic empire, and these government-aligned Silicon Valley giants are a major part of that empire's propaganda engine. The real power of that empire and that oligarchy lies in their invisibile and unacknowledged nature. So once again for the people in the back: Twitter employs literal government propagandists as high-level executives while purging accounts from unabsorbed governments for circulating unauthorized narratives. This is a fact. Remember it.

De algemene verordening persoonsgegevens ofwel AVG (of GDPR >> General Data Protection Regulation) trad afgelopen 25 mei in werking en gaat over de nieuwe regels ter bescherming van persoonsgegevens van klanten die zijn aangesloten bij bedrijven als Facebook en Google. Echter van enige restrictie in het vragen van privacygevoelige informatie is niets te merken, sterker nog: als je niet tekent voor het misbruik van jouw gegevens, wordt je account zelfs geblokkeerd, zoals een aantal Facebook gebruikers is overkomen........

Zelf heb je waarschijnlijk ook al gemerkt dat je akkoord moet gaan met de voorwaarden van bedrijven, daar je anders niet verder komt, ofwel je wordt als klant gechanteerd! Lees je die voorwaarden dan zie je dat je nog steeds moet tekenen voor het gebruik van jouw gegevens voor de marketing doeleinden, ook door andere bedrijven........

Volgens de nieuwe regels moet je een vrije keus hebben en moet je kunnen kiezen voor het niet doorgeven van jouw gegevens aan derden, echter daar is in de praktijk geen sprake van..... Zelf heb ik zegge en schrijve één site gezien waar je dergelijke zaken kan aanvinken en toch gebruik kan blijven maken van de dienst, deze dienstverlener is Twitter......

As New Privacy Rules Hit Europe, Google and Facebook Hit With $8.8 Billion in Lawsuits

(CD) — Accusing Facebook, Google, WhatsApp, and Instagram of “intentionally” violating Europe’s strict new privacy rules that officially went into effect on Friday, Austrian lawyer and privacy activist Max Schrems filed four lawsuits against the tech companies arguing they are still “coercing users into sharing personal data” despite rolling out new policies ostensibly aimed at complying with the new regulations.

Titled the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the new rules require companies to explicitly and clearly request consent from users before mining their data, and Schrems argues in his complaints—which seek fines totaling $8.8 billion—that Google, Facebook, and the Facebook-owned Instagram and WhatsApp are still utilizing “forced consent” strategies to extract users’ data when “the law requires that users be given a free choice unless a consent is strictly necessary for provision of the service,” TechCrunch explains.

“It’s simple: Anything strictly necessary for a service does not need consent boxes anymore. For everything else users must have a real choice to say ‘yes’ or ‘no,'” Schrems wrote in a statement.

“Facebook has even blocked accounts of users who have not given consent. In the end users only had the choice to delete the account or hit the ‘agree’-button—that’s not a free choice.”

While Facebook—which is currently embroiled in international controversy following the Cambridge Analytica scandal—insists that its new policies are in compliance with Europe’s new regulatory framework, Schrems argues that Facebook and Google aren’t even attempting to follow the new law.

“They totally know that it’s going to be a violation, they don’t even try to hide it,” Schrems told the Financial Times.
