Als de VS stopt met spelen van 'politieagent' en het vernielen van de wereld, zullen de slechte krachten winnen......

Als de VS zou besluiten te stoppen met zich te bemoeien met het buitenland en daarmee de wereld naar de gallemiezen helpt, zullen de slechte krachten winnen...... Het voorgaande is de strekking van de kop boven een artikel dat Caitlin Johnstone gisteren publiceerde.... Ofwel: dat de wereld in chaos, dood en verderf wordt gedompeld door de VS, is beter dan een volgens de VS als demon afgeschilderde dictator of een democratisch gekozen president 'diens gang te laten gaan' (waarbij de VS een gigantisch aantal leugens tegen zo'n president of dictator gebruikt om haar illegale acties van een legitiem tintje te voorzien)

De VS wordt volkomen ten onrechte neergezet als de politieagent van de wereld, ook door een enorm aantal westerse politici, reguliere westerse media en daarmee ook door het grootste deel van de afzonderlijke westerse volkeren....... (die door hun politici en media een rad voor de ogen wordt gedraaid.......) 

Ook in ons land werken de meeste politici en de volledige reguliere media daaraan mee (o.a. door het brengen van fake news [nepnieuws] en andere desinformatie), zoals door de NRC en haar volkomen ten onrechte de hemel in geprezen journalist en 'schrijver' Henk Hofland, die in 2016 overleed. Hofland, volgens de reguliere media 'Nederlands beste journalist' van de 20ste eeuw... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! (bovendien: in het land van de blinden is zelfs iemand met 10% zicht koning....) Met de VS als politieagent heb je geen inbrekers of moordenaars nodig....... Voor berichten met Hofland, klik op het label met zijn naam, direct onder dit bericht.

De VS verwoest de wereld met haar: -illegale oorlogen, -geheime militaire acties, -duizenden standrechtelijke executies van verdachten middels drones, waarbij meer dan 90% van de slachtoffers niet eens werd verdacht, dus veelal vrouwen en kinderen.... -het organiseren van opstanden en staatsgrepen, vaak in het verlengde van elkaar, -economische oorlogsvoering, met als opzet een VS niet welgevallig bewind weg te krijgen door onvrede over de economie onder een bevolking, onvrede die moeten leiden tot demonstraties, die dan weer tot een opstand moeten leiden..... -het manipuleren van verkiezingen elders en tot slot: -het steunen van dictaturen, zoals die van de reli-fascistische staat Saoedi-Arabië, een zaak die volkomen ingaat tegen de door de VS zelf gepropageerde redenen voor ingrijpen elders: het bevorderen van democratie en vrijheid over de wereld........ 

Naast het voorgaande kan je nog stellen dat de VS de hele wereld bespioneert, zelfs haar bondgenoten zijn daar niet veilig voor, spionage ook t.b.v. grote bedrijven in de VS.....

Niet alleen laat de VS na haar oorlogsvoering elders landen in puin achter, maar begaat met die oorlogsvoering een enorm aantallen massamoorden, zo heeft de VS vanaf het eind van WOII tot nu toe, o.a. met een enorm aantal grote oorlogsmisdaden en andere misdaden zoals hierboven vermeld, meer dan 22,5 miljoen mensen vermoord....... Niet vreemd dus dat de VS verantwoordelijk is voor miljoenen vluchtelingen en alle problemen die dat oplevert.......

Wat totaal belachelijk dan, zoals ook door Johnstone verwoord, dat landen als Rusland, Syrië, Iran en Noord-Korea volkomen onterecht en zonder enig bewijs de schuld krijgen voor de hierboven opgesomde zaken, misdaden die de VS op grote schaal uitvoert, waar wel bewijzen voor zijn, alles mede gevoed door pro-VS propaganda in de reguliere westerse (massa-) media en door het overgrote deel van de westerse politici.......

De VS de goede kracht op onze wereld? Gezien de feiten kan je niet anders concluderen dan dat de VS de grootste terreurentiteit is op onze kleine aarde.....*

If America Stopped Destroying The World, The Bad Guys Might Win

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters on Saturday that the government under Venezuela's recently re-inaugurated president Nicolas Maduro is "illegitimate", and that "the United States will work diligently to restore a real democracy to that country."

Pompeo's remarks, which were echoed by Trump's National Security Advisor John Bolton, are interesting for a couple of reasons. The first is because Venezuela's presidential election in May of last year (which incidentally was found to have been perfectly legitimate by the international Council of Electoral Experts of Latin America) was actively and aggressively meddled in by the US and its allies. The second is that while the US government is openly broadcasting its intention to continue interfering in Venezuela's political system, it continues to scream bloody murder about alleged Russian interference in its own democratic process two years ago.

What is the difference between the behavior of the United States, which remains far and away the single worst offender in foreign election meddling on the planet, and what Russia is accused of having done in 2016? According to a comment made by former CIA Director James Woolsey last year, it's that the US interferes in foreign democracies "for a very good cause."

And that's really the only argument that empire loyalists have going for them on this subject. The US is different because the US has moral authority. It's okay for the US to continue to interfere in the political affairs of foreign nations while it would be an unforgivable and outrageous "act of war" for a nation like Russia to do the exact same thing, because the US is countering the interests of the Bad Guys while Russia is countering the interests of the Good Guys. Who decided who the Good Guys and Bad Guys are in this argument? The US.

This "What we do is good because we're the Good Guys" faith-based doctrine was regurgitated with full-throated zealotry in a recent speech given by Pompeo in Cairo, in which he cited "America's innate goodness" in making the absolutely ridiculous claim that "America is a force for good in the Middle East" which has been "absent too much" from the region previously. America's nonstop deadly interventionism in the Middle East is "good", because America is "innately good".

America's constant military interventionism, election interference and other nastiness are painted as Good Things done by Good Guys to fight the Bad Guys. The argument, when you boil it right down, is that if America wasn't constantly starting wars, invading sovereign nations, staging coups, sponsoring proxy conflicts, arming terrorists, bombing civilians, torturing people, implementing starvation sanctions on impoverished populations, pointing nuclear weapons everywhere, spying on us all with a globe-spanning Orwellian surveillance network, interfering in foreign elections, and patrolling the skies with flying death robots, the Bad Guys might win.

Sort of makes you wonder who the Bad Guys really are, huh?

The theme of Good Guys fighting Bad Guys resonates with a population that has been raised for generations on Hollywood films featuring a handsome action hero emerging victorious after a ninety-minute struggle and karate kicking an ugly villain off a cliff before kissing the pretty girl, but it doesn't accurately reflect the reality we actually live in. Our world is dominated by extremely powerful people who are motivated not out of interest in good or evil but a drive toward power and profit which is completely disinterested in morality of any kind, and the empires they build for themselves have their foundations on the backs of ordinary people who are just trying to get by. The majority of those extremely powerful people either live in the United States or have formed alliances with US power structures, and all their agendas in Asia, South America, the Middle East and elsewhere have nothing to do with "protecting democracy" or being a "force of good", and everything to do with amassing more power.

Even among those who recognize that the US-centralized empire isn't a shining beacon of virtue in our world, the notion remains prevalent that if American power ceases to be a unipolar dominator then someone worse will take over the world. This fear-based mindset ultimately underlies all establishment manipulation and all educated support for it: the idea that someone needs to rule and dominate the world to prevent someone else from doing the same. But what are the fruits of this mindset? A corporatist Orwellian dystopia hurtling toward climate collapse if nuclear war doesn't kill us all first.

We can't keep doing this. We literally can't; we'll evolve beyond this fear-based dominator paradigm or we'll all perish beneath its feet very soon. We are now in a position where our irrational fear of being invaded by China has pushed us to the brink of extinction, so it isn't even a gamble to step off that train and try something else instead.

It is entirely possible that the US is capable of functioning like a normal nation and simply defending its own shores and sustaining itself without interfering in world affairs. It is entirely possible that the threat everyone imagines of some foreign power stepping in as the unipolar dominator should America vacate that role is the product of fearful imaginings with no bearing on reality and a fundamental misunderstanding of humanity. It is entirely possible that we are capable of creating a world where nobody dominates anybody, and no iron-fisted world leader of any kind is needed. Either way, the train we're on is headed for a brick wall, so we've now got nothing to lose by stepping off.

Facebook en Twitter verwijderen nu volledige accounts.........

Caitlin Johnstone publiceerde afgelopen zaterdag een artikel waarin ze verder ingaat op de zuivering van het internet door Facebook en Twitter. Waar aanvankelijk naar de inhoud van berichten werd gekeken zijn nu de accounts van o.a. Anti-Media, WSWS (World Socialist Web Site) en PoliceThePolice volledig verwijderd van deze 2 platforms........

Ofwel Facebook en Twitter fungeren als censuuragenten voor de overheid...... Terecht stelt Johnstone dat de overheid in de VS (en elders in het westen) nog maar weinig geloofwaardigheid over heeft, het is dan ook zaak dat organisaties als Facebook en Twitter de functie van censuuragent op zich nemen, immers als de overheid dit openlijk had gedaan, waren de rapen gaar geweest.......

Het is echter vrijwel zeker dat de VS overheid platforms als Facebook en Twitter aanstuurt wat betreft de keus voor te censureren accounts, ook gezien een conferentie eerder dit jaar, waar WSWS over berichtte op 5 oktober jl. Het gaat hier om een conferentie van de United States Special Operations Command, een sectie van het ministerie van 'Defensie' (zou het ministerie van Oorlog genoemd moeten worden), die supervisie heeft over de US Special Forces. De conferentie droeg de naam 'Sovereignty in the Information Age' en ondanks de vage titel, ging het er tijdens die conferentie over hoe alternatieve nieuws- en opiniesites te censureren...... Mensen lees ook dat artikel en de haren zullen je ten berge rijzen....*

Internet Censorship Just Took An Unprecedented Leap Forward, And Hardly Anyone Noticed

While most indie media was focused on debating the way people talk about Kanye West and the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, an unprecedented escalation in internet censorship took place which threatens everything we all care about. It received frighteningly little attention.

After a massive purge of hundreds of politically oriented pages and personal accounts for "inauthentic behavior", Facebook rightly received a fair amount of criticism for the nebulous and hotly disputed basis for that action. What received relatively little attention was the far more ominous step which was taken next: within hours of being purged from Facebook, multiple anti-establishment alternative media sites had their accounts completely removed from Twitter as well.

As of this writing I am aware of three large alternative media outlets which were expelled from both platforms at almost the same time: Anti-Media, the Free Thought Project, and Police the Police, all of whom had millions of followers on Facebook. Both the Editor-in-Chief of Anti-Media and its Chief Creative Officer were also banned by Twitter, and are being kept from having any new accounts on that site as well.

"I unfortunately always felt the day would come when alternative media would be scrubbed from major social media sites," Anti-Media's Chief Creative Officer S.M. Gibson said in a statement to me. "Because of that I prepared by having backup accounts years ago. The fact that those accounts, as well as 3 accounts from individuals associated with Anti-Media were banned without warning and without any reason offered by either platform makes me believe this purge was certainly orchestrated by someone. Who that is I have no idea, but this attack on information was much more concise and methodical in silencing truth than most realize or is being reported."

It is now clear that there is either (A) some degree of communication/coordination between Twitter and Facebook about their respective censorship practices, or (B) information being given to both Twitter and Facebook by another party regarding targets for censorship. Either way, it means that there is now some some mechanism in place linking the censorship of dissident voices across multiple platforms. We are beginning to see smaller anti-establishment alternative media outlets cut off from their audiences by the same sort of coordinated cross-platform silencing we first witnessed with Alex Jones in August.

This is about as acute a threat to our ability to network and share information with each other as anything you could possibly imagine. If new media outlets are beginning to silence dissident voices together in unison, that means we can see entire alternative media outlets not just partially silenced but thoroughly silenced, their ability to grow their audiences and get information out to heavily populated parts of the internet completely crippled.

This is huge, this is dangerous, and this is being under-reported. When I was removed from Twitter in August for "abusing" John McCain, there was a large and outraged uproaron Twitter, and my account was quickly restored with an apology. The phenomenon of multiple high-profile alternative media outlets suddenly being silenced in unison by the two biggest social media platforms should be generating more outrage than some ornery Australian blogger losing her Twitter account, not less. People should be legitimately freaked out by this, because it affects us all.

Any time you try to talk about how internet censorship threatens our ability to get the jackboot of oligarchy off our necks you'll always get some guy in your face who's read one Ayn Rand book and thinks he knows everything, saying things like "Facebook is a private company! It can do whatever it wants!" Is it now? Has not Facebook been inviting US government-funded groups to help regulate its operations, vowing on the Senate floor to do more to facilitate the interests of the US government, deleting accounts at the direction of the US and Israeli governments, and handing the guidance of its censorship behavior over to the Atlantic Council, which receives funding from the US government, the EU, NATO and Gulf states? How "private" is that? Facebook is a deeply government-entrenched corporation, and Facebook censorship is just what government censorship looks like in a corporatist system of government.

Speaking of the Atlantic Council, it recently published a very interesting 21-page document about a US military conference detailing, in present tense, how Silicon Valley tech giants are being used to nullify the threat that the new media landscape poses to the US power establishment.

Of this document, World Socialist Website writes the following:

Enter the social media companies. The best mechanism for suppressing oppositional viewpoints and promoting pro-government narratives is the private sector, in particular “technology giants, including Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Twitter,” which can “determine what people see and do not see.” 

Watts adds, “Fortunately, shifts in the policies of social media platforms such as Facebook have had significant impact on the type and quality of the content that is broadcast.” 

The private sector, therefore, must do the dirty work of the government, because government propaganda is viewed with suspicion by the population. “Business and the private sector may not naturally understand the role they play in combating disinformation, but theirs is one of the most important…. In the West at least, they have been thrust into a central role due to the general public’s increased trust in them as institutions.”

The best way to deal with a manipulative sociopath is to point and make a lot of noise every time they do something weird and creepy. The more you let them abuse you in private, the more they can rope you in and get you playing along with their sick agendas. If you notice them doing something weird, the best way to nullify all the tools in their wicked little toolbox is to point and yell "Hey! What are you doing?? Why are you doing that? That's weird!" Get people looking, because such beasts can't advance their manipulations with a lot of critical eyes on them.

Propaganda and censorship operates very much the same way. If you are unfamiliar with the concept of the Streisand effect, I encourage you to begin to acquaint yourself with it. Named for an incident in which Barbara Streisand attempted to suppress online photographs of her Malibu residence and thereby inadvertently drew far more attention to them, the Streisand effect describes the way attempts to hide and censor information can be used to draw more attention to it if the coverup attracts the interest of the public eye. Every censor needs to prevent this from happening in order to do their job effectively; if it looks like removing something from public view would draw more attention to it, then they cannot practice censorship in that case.

So let's Streisand this thing up, hey? Let's make a big angry noise about this new cross-platform escalation in internet censorship, and let's make a big angry noise any time anyone makes a move to silence dissident political speech in the new media environment. Manipulators can only function in darkness, so let's never give them any. Anything they try, we need to make a ton of noise about it. That by itself would be throwing an enormous stumbling block in their path while we find new ways to clear a path for more and more networking and information sharing. These bastards have controlled the narrative for too long.
