Joodse vrouw wil Israëlische militairen laten berechten door het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC)

Via een Twitterbericht gedeeld door de Braziliaanse cartoonist en mensenrechtenactivist Carlos Latuff las ik het hieronder opgenomen artikel van Marilyn Garson, waarin zij als Joodse vrouw getuigt van de Israëlische aanval op de Gazastrook in 2014. Ze wil dat de oorlogsmisdaden begaan door militairen van het Israëlische leger (IDF*) worden vervolgd door het Internationaal Strafhof (International Criminal Court >> ICC) in Den Haag. Waarbij Garson volledig terecht stelt dat wanneer de Israëlische krijgers 'moedig genoeg zijn' om een in een val zittende bevolking direct aan te vallen, ze ook moedig genoeg moeten zijn om hun daden te verantwoorden in een goed verlichte rechtszaal.

Garson stelt dat het juist heel belangrijk is deze militairen ter verantwoording te roepen voor de rechter, juist omdat het geweld onderliggend aan de aanval in 2014 op de burgers van de Gazastrook nog steeds aanwezig is: de ontmenselijking van de Palestijnen....... Opgesloten achter muren en (internationaal, Ap) belasterd**, kan men alles doen tegen de vervolgde bevolking van de Gazastrook...... Een rechtszaak zal hun getuigenis versterken over het constant onder barbaarse aanvallen moeten leven. Laat de Gazanen hun verhaal vertellen, aldus Garson. 

Garson verteld over deze oorlog in 2014 (die m.i. continu doorgaat, zolang de Palestijnen niet vrij zijn om hun leven te leiden in een vrij Palestina). Garson en de slachtoffers kunnen niet vergeten hoe mensen rennend de aanvallen op hen door het Israëlische leger probeerden te ontwijken, of om juist hun buren te helpen die vastzaten onder het puin van hun door Israëlisch geweld ingestorte huizen.... Het geluid van de klapperende tanden van doodsbange kinderen...... De grote stofwolken en de mensen die schreeuwend proberen een schuilplaats te vinden, een schuilplaats die er niet is als je gevangen zit achter muren (in feite een getto als dat van Warschau in de Tweede Wereldoorlog.....)

Een rechtszaak door het ICC is juist belangrijk daar niet regeringen worden vervolgd maar individuen die het geweld op weerloze mensen hebben hebben gepleegd, deze individuen van het Israëlische leger hebben de keus gemaakt weerloze mensen te vermoorden......

In die oorlog van 2014 werden 18.000 huizen in de Gazastrook vernietigd, de 100 huizen van families die in de eerste week werden vernietigd en miljoenen tonnen aan puin hebben het landschap van de Gazastrook veranderd...... De Gazaanse veiligheidstroepen hebben destijds 6.000 'raketten' (veredelde vuurpijlen) en artillerie granaten afgeschoten op Israël, terwijl het Israëlische leger heeft toegegeven 5.000 ton (let wel: een ton is 1.000 kilo!!) aan munitie heeft gebruikt tegen een opgesloten Palestijnse bevolking...... Israël handelde totaal buiten proporties tegen het opgesloten Palestijnse volk middels de Dahiya Doctrine van generaal Gabi Eisenkot, genoemd naar Dahiya, een buurt in het Libanese Beiroet, die in de oorlog van Israël tegen Libanon in 2006 werd platgegooid, waarbij een groot aantal burgers (waaronder veel vrouwen kinderen) werden vermoord...... In feite is dit niets anders dan de SS tactiek uit WOII, waarbij onevenredig werd gestraft als een Duitse soldaat of officier werd vermoord..... Deze tactiek raakte bekend door vrijgegeven documenten op WikiLeaks (overigens hebben een aantal Israëlische officieren begin 90er jaren van de vorige eeuw de klok geluid over het feit dat hen werd onderwezen uit SS handboeken......)

De Dahiya buurt in Beiroet na de barbaarse oorlogsmisdaad van Israël...... (het bombarderen van woonwijken is een grote oorlogsmisdaad, aldus internationaal recht)

Garson gaat nog verder in op het oorlogstuig dat het IDF gebruikte in 2014 en op het feit dat er nog meer illegale doelen waren dan de huizen van gewone Palestijnen: scholen van de VN, waarin velen hun toevlucht hadden gezocht, ondanks dat het Israëlische leger wist waar deze scholen zich precies bevonden, werden ook deze schuilplaatsen doel van Israëlische agressie en ook daarbij kwamen veel burgers om het leven, waaronder uiteraard veel kinderen..... Israël beweerde later dat Hamas deze plekken als menselijk schild gebruikte om aanvallen op Israël uit te voeren, echter daarvoor kon Israël geen flinter aan bewijs leveren......

Wat veel mensen niet weten is dat Israël, een grote wapenexporteur, haar nieuwe oorlogstuig uitprobeert op de Palestijnse bevolking, zodat rapporten over de vernielingen reclame zijn voor dat wapentuig op wapenbeurzen......

Mensen lees het relaas van Garson en geeft het door, kritiek leveren op Israël heeft niets, maar dan ook helemaal niets met antisemitisme te maken, elk land dat zo met mensen omgaat moet aan de paal worden genageld!!! Het is de hoogste tijd dat het westen na zoveel bloedvergieten de Palestijnen te hulp komt en alle banden met Israël verbreekt, waarna een totale boycot van het fascistische Israëlische apartheidsbewind, zoals die tegen het fascistische apartheidsbewind eerder in Zuid-Afrika, een eind kan maken aan de enorme ellende waarin het verdrukte Palestijnse volk zich bevindt!! (overigens is Zuid-Afrika één van de weinige landen die erkent dat Israël een brute apartheidsspolitiek voert en zich daartegen verzet door steun uit te spreken voor de Palestijnen)

I am a Jew and I Want Palestinians Heard in Court

I am not Palestinian but I was a witness to the assault of 2014. I want its alleged war crimes to be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court. Those warriors who were ‘brave’ enough to direct an assault on a trapped populace should be brave enough to account for their choices in a well-lit courtroom.

Why is a court of law important?

Because the menace that underpinned the assault of 2014 is still present: the dehumanization of Palestinians. Walled off and vilified, anything can be done to the people of Gaza. A trial will amplify their story of being under intensive attack behind a wall. Let Gazans tell their story.

Because people will still be living with the memory and the imprint of this war. The body remembers the singed smells that linger on your skin, the sight behind your eyelids of neighbors racing toward rubble to rescue neighbors, the sound of children with chattering teeth. The drifts of white dust in the corners of window sills. The screams of people in the streets, seeking shelter before nightfall – but there is no shelter behind a wall.

Because courts prosecute individuals, not nations. Individuals make choices and are accountable. Individual responsibility lets everyone else get beyond blaming whole states. Someone wrote the doctrines, chose the weapons and the targeting parameters and the order of battle. They should be judged for their handiwork.

Because of the 18,000 homes destroyed, the 100 family homes targeted in the first week, and the millions of tons of rubble that altered the very landscape of the Gaza Strip. In 51 days, Gazan forces fired roughly 6000 rockets and artillery shells while Israel’s armed forces acknowledge dispatching 5000 tons of munitions to fire at a trapped populace. The tonnage and the stated doctrines of disproportionate force like the Dahiya Doctrine await judgment.

Because someone knew that the UN shelter-schools were filled with displaced Palestinians. They knew, because I told them. As a member of the UNRWA team operating those shelters, one of my tasks was to confirm the pre-existing protections of each flagged United Nations school building that was sheltering displaced people. Over and over they were told. Those schools were clearly marked on military maps. Everyone knows their location and their signature colors. Someone in Israel knew and fired at them anyway. Seven times they fired, killing 44 Palestinians and injuring 227. Let those people explain their actions to a judge.

Because the earth trembled with the tonnage of bombs that the IDF used to destroy the homes of 92,000 Palestinians in Shuja’iyya, and because of the quieter killings in Khuza’a. The stories of Gaza’s neighborhoods need to be heard and responsibility assigned.

Because of the 73 medical facilities, the ambulances, and every other illegal target. Because of the civilian infrastructure destroyed, the water pipes and the power plant, and all the gratuitous hardship that Gazans endured. The lesson of the war, they said later, was that Israel no longer saw any civilians in Gaza at all. A court must restore Gazans’ civilian status and protections.

Because of the 293,000 displaced Gazans who endured such trying conditions in 90 UNRWA shelters – because there was no safer place behind that wall.

Because 6,000 airstrikes and 14,500 tank shells and 35,000 artillery shells equate to 100,000 kg of explosives every day, day after day. Israeli forces killed 2251 Gazans including 1,462 civilians, a third of whom were children. The human consequence of the IDF’s choice to inflict such massive violence must be heard. Battlefield explosive weapons must not rain down upon crowded cities with impunity again.

Because beneath those bombs in Gaza, the minutes were interminable. There was nowhere to flee, no way to help, nothing to do but wait for the next bomb through nights when there were more bombs than minutes. Let a trial record and weigh the harm of those 51 merciless days and nights of minutes of witness.

Because some debased Israelis sat on hillsides eating popcorn. They watched the bombs land on human beings and homes as if it were entertainment. Around the world, many, many others turned away and did nothing. Perhaps both sets of people will be shaken to realize that they were enjoying, or averting their eyes from, a crime.

Because what is demonstrated in Gaza with impunity today, is normalized elsewhere tomorrow at the expense of other inconvenient human beings. The assaults upon Gaza are relevant even here, because New Zealand is buying military robots that were tested on the trapped people of Gaza and the West Bank. Is this who we aspire to be?

Because as a Jew, I have heard the rationales for that massive violence. “It’s necessary.” “Kill all the little snakes.” “This time we’ll finish the job.” Now I want to hear the evidence and the verdict on this ethno-nationalist project of ours.

Our world must not value human life so differently when the life is Palestinian. Because our lives are of equal value, Gazans must be heard in court.

Pompeo ziet het Midden-Oosten het liefst als één grote corrupte apartheidsstaat die de ene massamoord na de andere begaat, zoals Israël.......

Het is oorlogsmisdadiger Pompeo duidelijk in de pedante fascistische lege bol geslagen, de ploert zou het Midden-Oosten het liefst zien als Israël....... Volgens Pompeo is dat een democratie, waar geen corruptie bestaat en waar de mensenrechten worden gerespecteerd......... ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Ten eerste is Israël sinds kort officieel een natiestaat, waar de rechten van Joden ver gaan boven die van andere inwoners van dat gestolen land (dat laatste komt er ook nog eens bij), ofwel Israël is een apartheidsstaat........... Ten tweede is de politiek in Israël zo corrupt als de pest, waar de premier wel de kroon spant als het over corruptie gaat, zelfs zijn vrouw is intussen aangeklaagd voor fraude.......

Ten derde: als er één land is waar de mensenrechten op enorm schaal worden geschonden is het Israël wel, oh nee wacht, de grote vriend van Israël en de VS, Saoedi-Arabië overtreft het nog net.... Dat land werd overigens niet eens genoemd door Pompeo, die met zijn lulpraatje Iran afschilderde als alles wat tegenovergesteld is aan Israël, terwijl S-A ver boven Iran uittorend wat betreft dictatuur (dat is Iran niet eens), mensenrechtenschendingen en een land is dat niet alleen in eigen land minderheden als sjiieten bestrijdt, maar zelfs een genocide uitvoert tegen de sjiieten in buurland Jemen......

Pompeo zwetste nog wat over de vrije pers in Israël, terwijl de reguliere media, ook in Israël, in de zakken zit van het grootkapitaal.......

Kortom Pompeo zwetste voor de zoveelste keer uit zijn nek, wat een domme leugenaar en hufter!! De hoogste tijd dat deze schoft terecht staat voor het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC)!!

Mike Pompeo: The US Wants the Entire Middle East to Look Like Israel

(MEMO) — US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said yesterday that “Israel is everything we want the entire Middle East to look like going forward” and that US-Israel relations are “stronger than ever”.

Speaking at an award ceremony held by the Jewish Institute for National Security of America in Washington DC, Pompeo hailed Israel as “democratic and prosperous”, adding “it desires peace, it is a home to a free press and a thriving economy,” Arutz Sheva reported.

Pompeo then compared Israel to Iran, citing the latter’s “corrupt leaders [who] assault the human rights of their own people and finance terrorism in every corner of the Middle East”. Pompeo lamented that the US administration under former President Barack Obama “had more respect for the leaders of Iran than it did for the State of Israel,” stressing that

“Under President Trump’s leadership, the United States is standing where it should firmly be: On the side of Israel.”

Pompeo also discussed the long-awaited US peace initiative – dubbed the “deal of the century” – hailing it as a “truly historic” effort to reach an agreement. Pompeo said that “we [the USA] are very hopeful that one day the Palestinian people will have the same kinds of things, the same material, the same opportunities that the people of Israel have,” according to the Jerusalem Post. Pompeo added “We very much want you [the Palestinians] to have a space.”

Yet the Secretary of State also admitted that despite this “hope” for a Palestinian “space”, he had that same day denied a $165 million transfer of aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) citing the PA’s “funding of terror”. Pompeo was referring to the PA’s refusal to adhere to US demands to cease so-called “martyr payments” to the families of those killed by Israeli occupation forces or those incarcerated in Israeli prisons. Other countries have also put pressure on the PA, with Israel enacting a law to withhold $130 million per month of tax revenue collected on behalf of the PA unless it ceases these stipends and Australia cutting its aid to the PA.

Though US-Israel ties have historically been strong, under President Donald Trump’s administration these ties have reached new heights. Last week the largest ever US aid package to Israel – worth $38 billion over 10 years – entered into force. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the US and Israel in 2016 under the Obama Administration, but State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert hailed the deal as reflecting “the enduring and unshakable commitment of the President [Trump], this Administration, and the American people to Israel’s security”.

Trump has also spearheaded the so-called “deal of the century”, a peace initiative he hopes will solve the decades-long situation in Israel-Palestine. Last month the president expressed support for the two-state solution for the first time since entering office. He explained: “I like two-state solution. Yeah. That’s what I think… that’s what I think works best. I don’t even have to speak to anybody, that’s my feeling… I think two-state solution works best.” Despite such attempts to appear even-handed, the US has been criticised as a dishonest broker in any peace negotiations, with many believing the “deal of the century” will be biased towards Israel and put Israel’s “security” before any measures beneficial to the Palestinians.

Russische inmenging VS presidentsverkiezingen? ha! ha! ha! ha! Sheldon Adelson en Netanyahu zal men bedoelen!

De grootste donor van politici in de VS en van de Trump campagne is niet Rusland, noch heeft Rusland de verkiezingen of het beleid van Trump kunnen beïnvloeden, nee die grootste donor en manipulator van de VS presidentsverkiezingen en die achter het buitenlandbeleid van de Trump administratie, is zionist en casino biljonair Sheldon Adelson.

Deze Adelson is ronduit een ultrarechtse rotploert, zeg maar gerust fascist, die het liefst Iran zou willen aanvallen met kernraketten, zelfs zonder enige aanleiding daartoe, zoals hij al eens heeft opgemerkt.......

Met donaties van figuren als Adelson en het ongelofelijk smerig campagne voeren van hare kwaadaardigheid Hillary Clinton, kon Trump het presidentschap van de VS bemachtigen. Eén en ander heeft Adelson geen windeieren gelegd, hij heeft zoals gezegd een dikke vinger in de VS buitenlandpolitiek......

Zo heeft Adelson regelmatig één op één contact met Trump en heeft hij het voor elkaar gekregen dat de VS haar ambassade naar Jeruzalem heeft verplaatst (althans een deel van die ambassade)...... Voorts heeft hij Trump zover gekregen geen humanitaire hulp meer te geven aan de Palestijnen, die Adelson nog liever vandaag dan morgen zou willen vernietigen...... The Biggest Donor in All of US Politics Brings an Israel First Agenda to Washington

(MPN) — According to publicly available campaign finance data, Sheldon Adelson – the conservative, Zionist, casino billionaire –is now the biggest spender on federal elections in all of American politics. Adelson, who was the top donor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Republican Party in 2016, has cemented his role as the top political donor in the country after giving $55 million in recent months to Republicans in an effort to help the party keep its majority in both houses of Congress.

Adelson’s willingness to help the GOP stay in power is likely born out of his desire to protect the massive investment he placed in the party last election cycle. In 2016, the Republican mega-donor gave heavily to the Trump campaign and Republicans, donating $35 million to the former and $55 million to the top two Republican Super PACs — the Congressional Leadership Fund and the Senate Leadership Fund — during that election cycle.

Adelson’s decision to again donate tens of millions of dollars to Republican efforts to stay in power is a direct consequence of how successfully Adelson has been able to influence U.S. policy since Trump and the GOP rode to victory in the last election cycle.

A New York Times article on Adelson, titled “Sheldon Adelson Sees a Lot to Like in Trump’s Washington,” notes that Adelson “enjoys a direct line to the president.” Furthermore, Adelson and Trump regularly meet once a month “in private in-person meetings and phone conversations” that Adelson has used to push major changes to U.S. policy that Trump has made reality — such as moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and cutting aid to Palestinian refugees, among others.

Adelson’s new title as the top spender in all U.S. elections shows that he, along with his wife, is willing to spend big to keep that direct line open in the months and years ahead. Citing sources close to the Adelsons, the Times writes that the Adelsons’ massive expenditures in federal elections this cycle are being made because he and his wife believe that “Republican control of the House and the Senate is so vital to maintaining these [right-wing and pro-Zionist] policies” and their influence in Washington and at the White House.

“Pleased as Punch”

The fact that Adelson is “pleased-as-punch” with Trump’s performance as president should hardly come as a surprise, given that the president has fulfilled his campaign promises that were of prime importance to Adelson, while many of his other campaign promises – namely those that were populist or anti-war in nature – have rung hollow.

These Adelson-promoted policies include the moving of the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, which Adelson had aggressively promoted and even helped to finance, as well as removing the U.S. from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), better known as the Iran nuclear deal. Another recent policy move bearing Adelson’s fingerprints is the U.S. decision to withdraw its funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), as Adelson once infamously stated that “there’s no such thing as a Palestinian.”

As previously mentioned, The New York Times recently noted that the cutting of aid to Palestinians, the U.S.’ removal from JCPOA, and the Jerusalem embassy move all resulted from private in-person meetings and phone conversations between Adelson and Trump.

Adelson has also been successful in stocking the Trump administration with politicians he has long supported as well as his confidantes. Adelson-supported appointees include Nikki Haley, long-time recipient of Adelson campaign funds who now serves as U.S. ambassador to the UN; Mike Pompeo, former CIA director who has advocated for bombing Iran and now serves as secretary of state; and John Bolton, a close confidante of Adelson, who is now national security adviser.

Adelson was also instrumental in removing Pompeo and Bolton’s predecessors, Rex Tillerson and H.R. McMaster, from their respective posts, owing to their support for JCPOA and their alleged “anti-Israel” positions. Speculation has recently grown that Secretary of Defense James Mattis may share their fate for similarly opposing Adelson’s positions.

Yet, upon closer examination, these Adelson-driven personnel and policy moves enacted by Trump seem to merely be the foundation for the so-called “Adelson agenda,” a set of convergent goals that could potentially result in thousands of deaths in the Middle East and embroil the U.S. in yet another regime-change war.

To Show That “We Mean Business”

While Adelson’s top-donor status has allowed him unprecedented access to the Trump administration and has resulted in dramatic changes to U.S. policy, there is every indication that the worst is yet to come. This is because, while the Adelson’s past efforts to influence Trump administration policy have had undeniably negative effects, they have yet to embroil the U.S. in another regime-change war or lead to the destruction of entire nations.

Yet, the current path the administration is treading at Adelson’s behest — particularly regarding Iran, Syria and Palestine — has the potential to unleash havoc in the Middle East and beyond, in a way not yet seen during Trump’s young presidency.

Indeed, one need only look at Adelson’s past statements on Iran to understand just how dangerous this man’s influence is to any prospect of peace in the Middle East.

As an example, during the negotiations that eventually led to the Iran nuclear deal, Adelson publicly advocated for a U.S. nuclear attack on Iran without provocation, so the U.S. could “impose its demands [on Iran] from a position of strength.”

More specifically, Adelson’s “negotiation” plan involved the U.S. dropping a nuclear bomb in the middle of the Iranian desert and then threatening to drop “the next one […] in the middle of Tehran” to show that “we mean business.” Tehran, Iran’s capital, is home to nearly 9 million people with 15 million more in its suburbs. Were Tehran to be attacked with nuclear weapons, an estimated 7 million would die within moments.

Furthermore, any sort of diplomatic engagement with Iran, according to Adelson, is “the worst negotiating tactic I could ever imagine.”

In other words, Adelson’s vision for engaging Iran considers the dropping of nuclear weapons on a country, including its heavily populated capital city — for no reason other than to show that the U.S. “means business” — a reasonable tactic.

With the Trump administration now applying “maximum pressure” to Iran, Adelson’s vision for engaging the Islamic Republic is of critical importance. For instance, if this “maximum pressure” campaign — currently a combination of draconian sanctions, bullying Iran’s trading partners, and covert CIA-driven regime-change operations — ultimately fails, Adelson is likely to push Trump towards more drastic “negotiation” tactics in order to force Iran into a “new treaty” designed by and for pro-Israel interests that seek to eliminate Iran as a regional player. Given that many entities– including Europe, China and Turkey — are rejecting U.S. calls to isolate Iran, this is a likely scenario that must be considered.

As his past statements make clear, Adelson — in such a case — is likely to pressure Trump to use military tactics, such as preemptive bombings, to force Iran to yield. Even though such a move would likely embroil Iran, the U.S. and potentially other important nations in a major war, Trump has shown that he has so far been willing to take Adelson’s “advice” regardless of consequences, including international backlash or even war.

Meet Your New Overlord: Adelson Driving Both US and Israeli Policy Behind the Scenes

Beyond the fact that Adelson’s unprecedented influence on U.S. politics is set to create much more instability than past policies he has promoted, lies another unsettling truth: for less than $150 million — pocket change for such a plutocrat — Adelson has effectively bought the presidency and Congress. His role as top political donor has given him a “direct line” to the president and unprecedented access to the Republican party, who are beholden to his desires and whims as their paymaster.

Indeed, crossing Adelson — as shown by the high-profile firings of McMaster and Tillerson — has its steep price, and obeying Adelson now seems to be the most essential step that Trump and other Republicans must follow to stay in power.

Furthermore, Adelson is also the primary driver behind Israeli policy, given his role as a key donor to and long-time backer of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and his role as owner and funder of Israel’s most widely circulated Hebrew-language newspaper, Israel Hayom. Thus, when considering critiques of U.S. politics as unduly influenced by Israel, Adelson’s role is again clear as day. If Israel is driving the U.S.’s foreign policy, it is not only because Adelson wills it but because Adelson is personally driving the policies of both the U.S. and Israel.

In 2014, a Princeton University study demonstrated that — beyond any doubt — the U.S. is an oligarchy, beholden to the interests of the rich and the powerful, not the interests of the majority of its citizens. Though the presence and power of the oligarchy is nothing new, what is notable is that a massive chunk of it is now under the control of a single individual — a man who has repeatedly shown that he has no empathy or respect for human life and is entirely on board  with totalitarianism. Indeed, Adelson has made it clear time and again that he is no fan of democracy.

Americans, meet your new, unelected overlord — Sheldon Adelson — because, as long as the U.S. political system is “hostage to his fortune,” he’s not going anywhere.
