Israël bombardeerde vorige week een Iraanse kerncentrale: geen aandacht in westerse media.....

Vorige week donderdag werd de Natanz kerncentrale in Iran gebombardeerd, zoals gewoonlijk wil Israël niet reageren op dit bericht, wat in de praktijk betekent dat Israël het wel degelijk heeft gedaan.....

Israël wil blijkbaar graag dat het Midden-Oosten in haar geheel ontploft, zijn ze nu helemaal gek geworden??!!! Bovendien is het uiteraard levensgevaarlijk om een werkende kerncentrale te bombarderen, dit is dan ook zonder meer een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad!!

Onbegrijpelijk dat de reguliere westerse media geen aandacht aan deze zeer ernstige zaak hebben geschonken.....

De fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël denkt onder en boven de wet te staan: hoe lang staat de wereld nog toe dat deze terreurstaat door gaat met haar bloedige etnische zuivering van de Palestijnse gebieden en dat met methoden die ronduit een misdaad tegen de menselijkheid zijn? Hoe lang laat de wereld het toe dat Israël naar goeddunken doelen bombardeert alsof het daarvoor een resolutie van de VN heeft? En hoe lang laat de wereld toe dat Israël bloedige regimes volpropt met wapens en desgevraagd zelfs chemische wapens levert, die Israël nog steeds ontwikkelt en verkoopt........ (Israël heeft als Egypte het verdrag tegen ontwikkeling, fabricage en verspreiding van chemische wapens dan 'ook niet' getekend...)

Kritiek hebben op de uiterst gewelddadige fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël heeft niets maar dan ook helemaal niets met antisemitisme te maken, hoe dom of slecht moet je zijn om dat te zeggen??!!!! Elk ander land dat handelde als Israël was al lang aangeklaagd bij het Internationaal Strafhof (ICC*) en was al lang en breed doelwit geweest van een fikse boycot...... Vandaar ook dat de wereld al decennialang overtijd is met het voor het gerecht slepen van Israël en als dat niet lukt bijvoorbeeld door tegenwerking van terreurstaat VS, dit land volledig te boycotten, zoals eerder de apartheidsstaat Zuid-Afrika werd geboycot en dat met groot succes!!!

Het is 2020 en het moet eindelijk afgelopen zijn met de verdrukking van het Palestijnse volk en met de illegale bombardementen die Israël uitvoert waar het maar uitkomt!! (illegale bombardementsvluchten en dat meestal door eerst het Libanese luchtruim te schenden, Libanon een land dat hier niets tegen kan ondernemen......)

Helaas kunnen wij de petitie niet tekenen, het staat ons echter vrij de fascistische apartheidsstaat Israël te boycotten, dus koopt geen artikelen uit dit uiterst gewelddadige land!! (en nogmaals: ook dat heeft niets met antisemitisme te maken!!)

The explosion at the Natanz nuclear facility was the third incident of its kind in Iran recently. 
There was also an explosion near the Iranian Parchin military site in northeast Tehran and a fire at a Tehran medical clinic that killed 19 people. A Middle Eastern intelligence official told the New York Times that Israel was behind the Natanz attack — Israel has not denied it — and it is possible that Israel was behind the two other recent explosions as well. Iran says that they have and will soon release the details of what happened at Natanz, but one thing already seems to be clear: despite the COVID-19 pandemic raging throughout the world, Israel seems hell-bent on war. 

Trump (and other U.S. presidents before him) have sent Israel the message that if they go to war — even a war that they outright provoke — the massive U.S. war machine will back them. “If we think for a minute that the Trump administration isn’t ready and willing to go to war, think again,” Senator Udall stated upon introducing his amendment. On June 30, 2020, Brian Hook, the Trump administration’s Special Representative for Iran, affirmed that “The military option is always on the table.” “With this kind of continuing saber-rattling,” Udall said, 

“We must send a clear message to the president and his administration that initiating war against Iran is beyond the powers this president or any president holds.”

The Trump administration doesn’t actually have the sole power to go to war. In 1973 Congress passed The War Powers Act to limit the Executive branch’s power to drag the U.S. into an armed conflict. The War Powers Act states that a president can only commit the U.S. military to action abroad through a congressional declaration of war or "a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces."

Public Relations en massamedia maken (fake) news

Degenen die het nieuws voor het grote publiek maken zijn niet de nieuwsmedia, maar de public relations (PR) figuren die ons van alles door de strot willen duwen, althans dat is de strekking van een documentaire die door Brasscheck TV wordt herhaald...... Het was in 2002 al zo dat op elke journalist er 6 PR figuren rondliepen...... 

Het voorgaande klopt niet helemaal zoals je waarschijnlijk al vermoedde, immers die PR figuren hebben de lamlendige reguliere (massa-) media nodig om hun boodschap te verspreiden en dat doen die media met grote graagte, neem de publieke omroep in Nederland, waar je elke dag wel een verhaal hoort dat bepaalde figuren ten goede komt en dan bedoel ik niet jan met de pet..... Neem het boerenprotest, aanvankelijk gesteund door zo ongeveer de hele Nederlandse media, met nul komma nada aandacht voor de intensieve martelveehouderij, waar jaarlijks 500 miljoen dieren worden groot en doodgemarteld in ons kleine land.... Voorts werd er met geen woord gerept over de soja die aan dat vee wordt gevoerd, soja vooral uit Brazilië, waarvoor men het oerwoud afbrandt...... 

Afgelopen zomer bleek dat een groot deel van het Amazonewoud in brand stond en had men in de reguliere media (of massamedia, wat je wilt) een grote bek over Brazilië, zonder ooit de intensieve veelteelt in ons land te noemen als één van de grote verantwoordelijken...... Nee, het gaat om de boeren 'die ons voeden'*, terwijl verreweg het overgrote deel van de kadavers en delen van kadavers worden geëxporteerd.....

Daarover gesproken: in de video van Brasscheck spreekt men over de rotzooi die ons in reclames als 'gezond' door de strot wordt geduwd en dat gaat in de VS nog een slag verder dan de PR figuren hier durven te doen..... Voorts wijst men op de PR waarmee gentech voedsel en zaken als nucleaire energie worden gepropageerd......

Dezelfde reguliere of massamedia waar men spreekt over 'fake news' (nepnieuws) en andere desinformatie waarmee men het publiek manipuleert, een ongelofelijke hypocriete beschuldiging als je ziet dat deze media juist de grote verspreiders zijn van nepnieuws en andere desinformatie....... Zie de illegale oorlogen die de VS deze eeuw is begonnen, oorlogen die deze media verkochten als waren ze onontkoombaar..... Illegale oorlogen die aan meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen het leven hebben gekost, ofwel die zijn in feite vermoord door de VS (met hulp van andere NAVO-lidstaten, waaronder Nederland...).... 

De media brachten ronduit propaganda voor de VS en de NAVO, zonder naar de leugens te kijken waarop de VS deze oorlogen begon, leugens die deze media met gemak hadden kunnen ontmaskeren...... Hetzelfde geldt voor wat de gevolgen van deze oorlogen zijn geweest, of nog zijn, dan wel waar we nog mee te maken zullen krijgen in de toekomst.... Vergeet verder niet dat er enorme kapitalen van door ons opgebracht belastinggeld zijn uitgegeven aan de illegale oorlogen die de VS is begonnen, om maar te zwijgen over het enorme aantal burgerslachtoffers en over de Nederlandse militairen die daarbij omkwamen (of voor het leven geestelijk en/of lichamelijk gehandicapt zijn geraakt...).......

Illegale oorlogen die terreur op de Europese straten hebben ontlokt en die een ongelofelijk aantal mensen op de vlucht hebben doen slaan..... Waar de media wat betreft de vluchtelingen veelal op het standpunt stonden (en staan) dat wij geen grote vluchtelingenstromen aankunnen..... Terwijl men bij deze media weet dat bijvoorbeeld in Libanon 1 op de 5 mensen een vluchteling is en dat in een straatarm land...... 

Propaganda ook tegen Rusland dat van agressie en expansionisme wordt beschuldigd, terwijl de VS zoals gezegd de ene na de andere illegale oorlog begint en miljoenen in diepe ellende stort...... 

Verbaas je over de volgende video van Brasscheck TV, zoals gezegd al uit 2002, maar nog immer actueel en wellicht meer dan destijds.........

Irak gevangen door VS agressie richting Iran en daarnaast een opstand in eigen land

Het volgende schreef ik op 18 mei dit jaar, n.a.v. een artikel over Iran en Irak en de relatie van deze landen met de VS..... Het bericht is aan m'n aandacht ontsnapt maar kwam weer 'bovendrijven' door de opstand die gaande is in Irak. Opvallend deze grote opstand, waarbij al honderden mensen zijn omgekomen (veelal vermoord door veiligheidstroepen van politie en leger), waar een sjiitische regering het land regeert, 'toevallig' staan de sjiieten er al decennia slecht op bij de VS, zie de genocide in Jemen...... Een genocide uitgevoerd op het sjiitische deel van het volk, waarbij de VS en GB hand- en spandiensten verlenen..... Verder is een opstand gaande in Libanon, waar de CIA op zeker de hand in heeft, daar men van Hezbollah af wil, een sjiitische politieke en hulporganisatie..... Gegarandeerd ook dat de Mossad de CIA meehelpt de stabiliteit van dat land te ondermijnen......

Vergeet verder niet alle smerige acties van de VS tegen Iran, zoals de illegale sancties tegen dat land......

Hier het stuk dat ik een aantal maanden geleden schreef:

Alex MacDonald schreef een artikel op Middle East Eye (MEE) over de verschillende signalen uit het Witte Huis t.a.v. Iran en Irak, terwijl de laatste 2 landen voor een behoorlijk deel op elkaar zijn aangewezen, zo komt een groot deel van het gas dat in Irak wordt gebruikt, uit Iran.

Pompeo heeft Irak opgedragen de Iraanse milities in de hand te houden daar de VS anders zonder Bagdad acties zal ondernemen tegen deze milities......

Het hieronder opgenomen artikel voegt nog meer onzekerheid toe aan wat er staat te gebeuren in het Midden-Oosten, mocht de VS besluiten een volgende illegale oorlog te beginnen, die tegen Iran.....

De aanvallen tegen tankers vorige week werden al gezien als de volgende false flag operatie van de VS om Iran te demoniseren en daarmee een reden te hebben Iran aan te vallen, iets dat nog steeds zou kunnen gebeuren, als de VS een onderzoek doet, waarbij de uitkomst van te voren is vastgesteld: Iran is de schuldige..... (het zou bepaald de eerste keer niet zijn dat de VS met dit bijltje hakt...)

Voorts heeft de VS laten weten dat wanneer haar troepen in Irak worden aangevallen, het zelf actie zal ondernemen, zonder de Iraakse regering daar in te kennen..... Niet vreemd dus dat verzetsgroepen die o.a. tegen IS vochten, groepen die wel en niet door Iran worden gesteund, eisen dat de VS zich volledig terugtrekt uit Irak, echter daar lijkt het nog steeds niet op (zelfs niet een aantal maanden later, dus op 8 november 2019)

Eén ding is zeker, de Trump administratie is verdeeld over wat te doen inzake Iran, hoewel oorlogsmisdadiger en topterrorist Bolton, een ploert die grote invloed heeft op het psychopathische beest Trump, er geen twijfel over laat bestaan: de VS moet Iran aanvallen en moet alleen daarvoor al in Irak blijven...... (gelukkig is de psychopathische oorlogsmisdadiger Bolton intussen afgeserveerd)

With tensions once again ratcheting up between the US and Iran, Iraq is, as usual, stuck in the middle.

On Wednesday, the US announced it was withdrawing all non-essential staff from the capital Baghdad and the Kurdish capital Erbil following an unspecified threat from Iran-linked forces.

Iraq has long been a battlefield for a proxy clash between US and Iranian interests. Thousands of US troops are still based in the country, while Iran provides financial and ideological support to a number of armed groups and political parties.

Just as many Iraqis were hopeful their country was pulling itself out of a long period of bloodshed and instability, it looks like the drums of war could be beating again.

There is chaos in the White House over how to handle Iraq

Despite the threats from armed groups, many in Iraq viewed with incredulity claims by the US that the threat from Iran-backed groups was enough to warrant pulling staff from the country.

Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Tuesday told reporters that Iraq side had not observed “movements that constitute a threat to any side. We clarified that to the Americans - the government is doing its duty to protect all parties.”

The US has had personnel in Iraq in a wide array of capacities since it invaded the country in 2003. Threats against them have been frequent and numerous since then, particularly at the height of the anti-occupation insurgency in the middle of the first decade of the century. And yet, there was no pullout of staff during that period of time.

One Iraqi government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorised to speak with the media, said that the excuses given by the US were "not at all" being taken seriously by Iraq.

"There is an increase in diplomacy, an increased number of visits by foreign affairs ministers or phone calls with them, visits by ambassadors," he said.

However, apart from somewhat greater attention being paid to the news, there was little planning going on for a possible future conflict.

"Nobody really knows what's going on," the official said

"That lack of clarity is what is driving some concerns," he explained.

Iran-Iraq ties

Any conflict between Iran and the US would inevitably have a huge impact on Iraq. 

According to the Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce, of $44bn Iranian non-oil exports, around $9bn worth of goods were exported to Iraq in the year to March, a 36 percent year on year increase, while as much as 40 percent of Iraqi electricity is thought to come from Iranian gas plants.

Despite renewing sanctions on Iran in November, the US has been repeatedly forced to issue waivers to Iraq, knowing full well how reliant the country is on the Islamic Republic.

Sarkawt Shams, an MP with the New Generation party, told MEE that the US decision was "immature" and based on an "inaccurate" assessment of the threats.

"There is chaos in the White House over how to handle Iraq," he said. "This White House does not have a clear policy on how to deal with Iraq - they see Iraq through a lens of anti-Iran rhetoric."

Shams said that he was concerned that the US move would end up harming relations between the two countries, which he hoped would have been strengthened in a post-Islamic State (IS) era.

"We were hoping that after the defeat of IS that we could shift relations between our two countries from military to economic and trade cooperation - that we could have the US invest in Iraq's economy, not just military capability," he explained.

All this is likely to prove a headache for Abdul Mahdi, who concluded a visit to Turkey on Thursday.

Iraq still does not have a defence or interior minister, more than a year after parliamentary elections.

Reuters quoted two Iraqi military sources as saying that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had told Iraqi officials during a surprise trip earlier this month that they would have to keep Iran-backed armed groups in check.

“They said if the US were attacked on Iraqi soil, it would take action to defend itself without coordinating with Baghdad," the source said.

Iran-backed groups such as Asaib Ahl al-Haq, the Badr Organisation and Kataib Hezbollah have repeatedly called for US troops to leave the country - as have other non-Iran-backed groups.

During a trip by Donald Trump to Iraq in December - a trip which stoked further controversy as the president chose not to meet with Iraqi officials - the former reality TV star broke with the official US policy line that troop deployment was purely aimed at targeting IS and said that it would also be monitoring Iran, comments which enraged many Iraqis.

Husham al-Hashimi, a security analyst based in Baghdad, said the controversy had "embarrased" Abdul Mahdi, who he said was attempting to tread "calmly and cautiously with the increased tension between Washington and Tehran".

"As an Iraqi citizen from outside the government and the parties, I am very anxious about the deterioration of the Iraqi economy," Hashimi told MEE. "Investors are worried because they are scared about the collapse of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar."

He added that, unless US embassy officials were able to convince their bosses in Washington otherwise, "there is a real fear no one can stop this." 

A 'real' foreign policy

A wide array of countries have pushed for the US and Iran to tone down their rhetoric and prevent an escalation following an attack on oil tankers in the Gulf on Monday.

Even the normally hawkish prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, was quoted by Israeli Channel 13 as telling top officials to “take steps to isolate Israel from any developments and ensure Israel is not dragged into this escalation".

Iraq has suffered decades of violence and unrest, including separate wars with both the US and Iran.

The hope for many now is that their country can both stabilise and begin to assert itself as an independent player in the region, and stop being the Middle East's battlefield.

"The point I discuss with officials and my colleagues in parliament is that we need to have a real Iraqi foreign policy, which we do not have," Shams explained.

"Iraq needs to be careful about its relationship with two countries, the US and Iran. Not to intervene in their conflict, but to convince both countries that Iraq is neutral and not taking sides and to bring business back to Iraq beyond the security industry and beyond military companies - so far we have failed to do that, and failed to normalise Iraq's role in the international community."

Derde presidentskandidaat Democratische Partij wil eind aan VS hulp voor Israël

Elizabeth Warren, Democratisch presidentskandidaat, is de derde op rij die een eind wil maken aan de hulp die de VS aan Israël geeft, althans als Israël doorgaat met het annexatie beleid op de West Bank (o.a. middels het uitbreiden en stichten van nieuwe illegale nederzettingen op de West Bank). Eerder gingen Bernie Sanders en Pete Buttigieg haar voor. Tot voor kort zou een dergelijke stap als politieke suïcide worden gezien, maar blijkbaar veranderen de tijden (en dit keer ten goede van het verdrukte Palestijnse volk).

Na jaren tevergeefs druk te hebben uitgeoefend op Caterpillar, Motorola en een Israëlische bank (vreemd dat in het hieronder opgenomen artikel de naam niet wordt genoemd) te stoppen zaken te doen met Israëlische illegale nederzettingen in de door Israël illegaal bezette West Bank, heeft de Episcopaalse kerk besloten banden met deze bedrijven te verbreken (bijvoorbeeld de aandelen van dergelijke bedrijven weg te doen en de rekening bij de bedoelde bank op te zeggen). 

De Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association (RRA) steunt Betty McCollums (Republikein) wet om militaire hulp aan Israël in te houden, vanwege het gevangenhouden van Palestijnse kinderen. Onder druk zouden de Toronto Raptors hun reis naar Israël hebben uitgesteld en deze zal wellicht geheel worden afgesteld.

Tegelijkertijd heeft Warren laten zien geen ruggengraat te hebben daar ze een Israëlische lobbyclub heeft verzekerd dat haar politieke beleid niets te maken heeft met de progressieve Joodse groep IfNotNow....... De vraag is wat e.e.a betekent als ze de volgende president van de VS zal zijn en te vrezen valt dat ze het slappe beleid van Obama zal voortzetten, ofwel veel beloven, maar weinig of zelfs niets doen, immers de Joodse lobby in de VS politiek is uitermate machtig, sterker nog deze bepaald zelfs deels de buitenlandpolitiek van de VS...... 

Mocht die VS hulp aan Israël tekort schieten, of wordt er door de VS politici te veel kritiek geleverd op Israël (naar de mening van de Israëlische regering), gaat Netanyahu, of diens opvolger naar Capital Hill en laat daar de politici en het volk van de VS weten dat men bijvoorbeeld vooral niet op figuren als Warren moet stemmen (precies dat deed Netanyahu in 2016)...... Dit wordt dan niet als ongewenste buitenlandse inmenging in de verkiezingen van de VS gezien, iets waar men Rusland volkomen onterecht van beschuldigde, sterker nog voor die Israëlische inmenging in de VS politiek zijn pakken dossiers voorradig.......

Intussen hebben de 'Israëlische kolonisten', (echt) illegale bewoners van de West Bank, de Palestijnse olijvenoogst als doel van haar ongebreidelde agressie gemaakt: ze hebben olijfbomen vernietigd en zijn zelfs een 80 jarige rabbi te lijf gegaan, daar deze 100 olijfbomen van vernietiging wilde redden..... Een verhaal dat je niet op Radio1 zal horen, met haar Israël lobbyist Arlene Gelderblom, die als correspondent fungeert....

In Jeruzalem zijn dit jaar een record aantal huizen van Palestijnen vernietigd, daar Israël elke nieuwbouw als een bedreiging voor haar voortbestaan ziet, terwijl dit land met het zo ongeveer modernste leger ter wereld, niets te vrezen heeft van de Palestijnen, die je het best kan vergelijken met de oorspronkelijke volkeren van de drie Amerika's, ofwel een strijd van met pijl en boog bewapende bewoners, tegen modern bewapende schoften, die men destijds ook kolonisten noemde......

Jurist Remi Brulin heeft intussen aangetoond dat een terreurcampagne in de 80er jaren tegen Palestijnen in Libanon, waar een groot aantal Palestijnen in vluchtelingenkamp Shatila en de aangrenzende buurt Sabra werden vermoord, het werk was van Israëlische agenten, een zaak die de Israëlische militaire censor tot voor kort onder de pet heeft weten te houden...... (al moet gezegd worden dat men hier al vanuit ging bij de destijds nog echt onafhankelijke pers [en in de alternatieve pers] en dat vrijwel onmiddellijk na de vreselijke bloedbaden; opperschoft en massamoordenaar Sharon speelde ook hier ook een 'mooie rol...')

Stop alle hulp aan Israël en boycot deze (nu officiële) fascistische apartheidsstaat, 'gefundeerd' op de lijken van een enorm aantal Palestijnen.........

Some good things happened this week and we were there to chronicle them. 

Palestinian human rights are finally becoming an issue in the Democratic Party. Elizabeth Warren became the third Democrat, joining Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders, to say that the United States should withdraw aid from Israel if it continues its settlement/annexation project. As our reporter Michael Arria said, such a stance used to be "political suicide." 

After years of urging Caterpillar, Motorola and an Israeli bank to cease business in the occupied territories, the Episcopal Church moved to divest itself of these corporations. And the Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association endorsed Rep. Betty McCollum's landmark bill to strip US military aid from Israel’s detention of children. And though the Toronto Raptors promised a trip to Israel, they appear to have scratched the date under pressure from activists. 

Now for the bad news…

Warren's campaign also assured an Israel lobby group that a young staffer who was a founder of the progressive Jewish group IfNotNow will have nothing to do with her foreign policy work. Jeez Louise. 

Settlers attacked the Palestinian olive harvest, and destroyed more than 100 trees-- and took a crowbar to an 80-year-old rabbi who was trying to protect the trees. And in 2019 Israel has already destroyed a record number of Palestinian homes in Jerusalem -- and it's only October."

Meantime, there’s a stateside campaign against Golbarg Bashi's children's book “P Is for Palestine” because Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP) and Samidoun endorse the book and they support BDS.  "The book is basically banned," the Iranian-American author told Nada Elia.

Ongelofelijk maar waar: Israël oefent keer op keer terreur uit op doelen in Syrië en Irak (en sinds 25 augustus ook doelen in Libanon), zonder dat Israël ook maar één woord van kritiek krijgt uit het westen, alsof het normaal is dat een land een ander soeverein land aanvalt zonder ook maar enige kritiek te krijgen..... Vergelijk dat eens met Oost-Oekraïne, waar het bewind in Kiev de bevolking terroriseert met bombardementen op steden en dorpen (zeer ernstige oorlogsmisdaden volgens het Verdrag van Genève). Het westen schreeuwt om het hardst dat Rusland meevecht in Oost-Oekraïne aan de kant van de burgers die zich terecht hebben afgescheiden van Oekraïne*, zonder ook maar een flinter aan bewijs te leveren voor die beschuldiging......

Al jaren schendt Israël het luchtruim van Libanon voor bombardementen op doelen in Syrië, zonder ook maar een waarschuwing te krijgen van de VN. Nu gaat Israël nog eens tien stappen verder door met drones Libanese burgers te vermoorden** en zoals te verwachten was, de westerse wereld doet er weer het zwijgen toe...... Hetzelfde westen dat onder aanvoering van de VS dag in dag uit Iran beschuldigt de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten te ondermijnen...... De VS dat NB zelf illegale oorlogen uitvecht in het Midden-Oosten, (Noord-) Afrika en Afghanistan, alsof dat stabiliteit zou brengen (waar de VS en de rest van het westen niets te zoeken hebben in het Midden-Oosten...)... Het zijn dan ook niet Iran of Syrië die de stabiliteit in het Midden-Oosten de nek omdraaien, maar juist de VS, Israël, Turkije en Saoedi-Arabië..... (dat laatste land kan zelfs ongestraft een genocide uitvoeren in buurland Jemen......)

VN schepen in de haven van Beiroet, die daar liggen ter bescherming van Libanon veranderden zelfs niet van positie toen Israël met een bombardement het mediacentrum van Hezbollah aanviel, laat staan dat ze de haven verlieten om Beiroet te verdedigen...... (je hoeft er niet van op te kijken als Israël de VN voorafgaand aan het bombardement waarschuwde......)

De Libanese premier Hariri mopperde voor de vorm wat over de Israëlische aanvallen, terwijl hij in feite een trouwe bondgenoot is van de VS en Saoedi-Arabië (hij is zelfs een Saoedische staatsburger......).... 

Hassan Nasrallah, het hoofd van Hezbollah (de enige groep die zich inzet voor alle burgers van Libanon), stelde dat Israël voor het eerst sinds 2006 agressie gebruikt tegen Libanon, dit middels een drone die Israël met opzet liet neerstorten..... Echter elke schending van het Libanese luchtruim is een ernstige oorlogsmisdaad en dat doet Israël keer op keer als het doelen aanvalt in Syrië...... Israël gebruikt telkens weer het versleten cliché dat het doelen uitschakelt die een bedreiging zouden vormen voor Israël, terwijl het juist Israël zelf is dat een dodelijke bedreiging vormt voor velen in het Midden-Oosten, bijvoorbeeld voor de burgers en Palestijnse vluchtelingen in Beiroet......

Als Israël, Saoedi-Arabië en Turkije is de VS een terreurstaat die het Midden-Oosten naar believen in brand zet....... Nogmaals: hoe is het mogelijk dat de rest van het westen er het zwijgen toe doet.... Oh ja, dom van mij, immers de rest van het westen doet voor een groot deel mee aan de VS terreur door deelname middels terreurorganisatie NAVO, dat onder militair opperbevel staat van de VS........ Ook wij hebben belasting betaalt voor de vernietiging van Afghanistan, Libië, Irak en Syrië en dat tijdens de illegale oorlogen die de VS tegen deze landen voerde en voert.......

Israel has attacked Lebanon and Syria: So what?

August 27, 2019 "Information Clearing House" - On August 25th, 2019, Israel attacked Lebanon. It has done it again. Just as it attacked Syria, the same night.

RT reported the same day:

Israeli drone flights were “an open attack on Lebanese sovereignty” and an assault on UN Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war, Hariri said on Sunday, just hours after reports of two Israeli UAV incidents in Beirut.

Hariri called the drone incursion a “threat to regional stability and an attempt to increase tensions.”

He said there’s a heavy presence of planes in the airspace over Beirut and its suburbs, adding he will consult with Lebanese President Michel Aoun on what could be done to repel the “new aggression.””

So, what? Really, we have been ‘here’ before, on so many occasions.

PM Hariri is fuming, but he is one of the closest allies of the U.S. and Saudi Arabia in the region. In fact, he is a Saudi citizen. Is he going to do anything, like getting into a war with Israel? Never.

Can he actually do anything?  No. Nothing, even if he would want to. The truth is that practically he can do absolutely nothing. Not he, nor Lebanon’s President Aoun, or even the Lebanese armed forces. Lebanon has no means with which to repel any Israeli attack. Absolutely no means! 
The country’s air force is pathetic, consisting of several flying toys, like modified Cessnas, old helicopters, and several A-29 Super Tucanos. That could hardly frighten some of the mightiest and well-trained squadrons in the world – those of the Jewish state.

The bitter and uncomfortable truth is, also, that Israel can basically do anything it desires, at least in this part of the world.

Just a few days ago, I dared to drive, again, from Beirut all the way down to Naqoura, and then, along the Blue Line (‘protected’ by the United Nations), east to Kfarkela.

Now, the repulsive Israeli wall which is scarring one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Middle East, has almost been completed, all along the border. One year ago, the Lebanese government protested, calling it almost an act of war. The Israelis did not care. As always, they did what they wanted. They came right towards the line, or more precisely, at least on several occasions, they crossed the line; and constructed their concrete monstrosity right in front of the eyes of the Lebanese soldiers and the UN personnel. “So, now, what are you going to do?” they were practically saying, without pronouncing it.

Nobody has done anything in retaliation. Zero! Now UNIFIL Indonesian soldiers are taking selfies right in front of the Blue Line, leaning against their armored vehicles, while Hezbollah flags are waving only a few meters away from Israel. All this horror show is just some 10 kilometers from the Israeli occupied Syrian territory of the Golan Heights. You can see the Golan Heights easily from here. A few years ago I was there, in the Golan Heights; I ‘smuggled’ myself there, to write a damming report. I learned then, and I am getting more and more confirmation now: Israelis are really great experts at building the walls that are ruining and fragmenting the entire region!

But then and now, nothing that can stop them!

Whatever Israel bombs it gets away with it, no one dares to intervene.
Today as the Israel drones, full of explosives, flew into Lebanon, UN battle ships were docked in the harbor of Beirut. After an explosion rocked a Shi’a neighborhood, damaging the Hezbollah Media Center (which I visited some two years ago), the ships did not even change their position, let alone depart from the harbor in order to defend Lebanon!

So why are these ships there? No one knows. No one asks, obviously.

Here, it is always like that. I drive to a Hezbollah area. There is a private checkpoint. I photograph it. They stop me. A huge guy with a machinegun blocks my way. I jump out of the car, put my hands together: “Do you want to arrest me?” He gets insecure. I ignore him. I drive away. I am pissed off: why not better fight the Israelis and their constant invasions, with such a physique and weaponry?

A friend of mine, a top UN official from the Gulf who doesn’t want to be identified, just told me bitterly:

There is no condemnation: there is complete silence from the United Nations and from the West.

Hariri feels obliged to protest, as his nation was attacked. But is he really outraged? Hardly. He hates Syria, he hates Hezbollah.

Lebanon is only united by a few iconic dishes, culinary delights; not by politics.

Is the country ready to defend itself? Hardly. Those who have money are too busy racing their European cars, without mufflers, on potholed streets, or showing their legs in various five-star malls.

The poor people of Lebanon do not matter; they do not exist. Palestinians matter nothing, living and dying, cramped like sardines in repulsive camps with hardly any rights. This has been going on for long decades.

Many Lebanese Christians actually secretly cheer Israel. Or not so secretly… And they are so enamored with everything Western, that, as they told me on several occasions, they would love to be colonized by France, again.

Lebanon is so fragmented by race, religion, social status, that it cannot stand on its feet. Turkish powerplant platforms are providing energy. Infrastructure has collapsed. Filth is everywhere. 
Cynical corruption consumes everything. But exhibitionism and showing off never stop. Money is there only for hedonistic clubs and sojourns to Nice. Hezbollah is the only institution which cares about the welfare of all Lebanese people; the only force ready to defend the country against foreign interventions. Israel and the West know it. And they are doing all they can to destroy Hezbollah.

Lebanon has become a laughing stock in the region. Like this, it is very difficult to face one of the mightiest militaries on earth.

Just a few hours before Lebanon was hit, Israel admitted that its air force hit the Shi’ite militia and Iranian targets in Syria. It declared that it took out “killer drones” prepped by the Quds Force to carry out attacks in Israeli territory.

Israel justifies everything by its ‘defense’. Any outrageous attack, any bombing, is always ‘preventive’. The world has become used to it, by now. The world is doing nothing to stop it.
People die. Many do; annually. So, ‘the Israeli citizens can be safe’. So the West and its allies can control the region, indefinitely.

On August 25th, Hassan Nasrallah, the head of Hezbollah, described the ongoing situation in the Middle East as ‘very, very dangerous’:

U.S. tries to revive Daesh in Iraq… U.S. helicopters are rescuing Daesh in Afghanistan… 

He spoke about the attack on Lebanon:

The drones that entered the suburbs at dawn are military aircraft. The first aircraft was a reconnaissance aircraft flying at low altitude to get an accurate picture of the target. We did not shoot down the plane, but some young men threw stones at it before it fell. What happened last night was a suicide drone attack on a target in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Netanyahu would be mistaken if he thinks that this issue can go unnoticed. Lebanon will face a very dangerous situation if this incident goes unaddressed. The dawn suicide attack is the first act of aggression since 14 August 2006. The Lebanese State’s condemnation of what happened and referral of the matter to the Security Council is good, but these steps do not prevent the course of action to be taken.  Since 2000, we have allowed Israeli drones for many reasons but no one moved.  Israeli drones entering Lebanon are no longer collecting information, but assassinations. From now on, we will face the Israeli drones when they enter the skies of Lebanon and we will work to bring them down.  I tell the Israelis that Netanyahu is running with your blood.

The West and its allies are escalating tensions all over the Middle East. Some say, “war is possible”. Others say “it is imminent”. But it is not just a possibility. There is a war. Everywhere. In Afghanistan and Syria, in Yemen and Iraq. Wherever you look! Even in Lebanon.
