Dodelijke technologie: het genetisch manipuleren van muggen

WeMove Europe is een petitie gestart die gericht is tegen het genetisch manipuleren van muggen, waarmee muggen dusdanig genetisch worden aangepast dat ze onvruchtbaar worden...... WeMove Europe eist een moratorium totdat de (onafhankelijke) wetenschap ten volle begrijpt wat de risico's van deze genetische manipulatie betekenen voor andere insecten. 

Dit moratorium daar deze manier van het bestrijden van ziekten als malaria en knokkelkoorts, de kans vergroot op het overslaan van steriliteit op andere soorten insecten, die bijvoorbeeld belangrijk zijn voor het bestuiven van gewassen..... Vergeet niet dat zelfs Einstein zich hiermee bemoeide met te zeggen dat wanneer de bestuivers uitsterven het gedaan zal zijn met de mensheid.....

Een malariamug

Niet alleen de mens zal de dupe zijn van het verdwijnen van insecten, maar ook veel vogelsoorten zullen dit niet overleven.......

Met het Coronavirus hebben we gezien hoe snel een organisme zich kan verspreiden, het is dan ook van het allergrootste belang dat men onmiddellijk stopt op deze letterlijk doodlopende weg!! Daarnaast moet je niet vergeten dat een groot aantal bestuivers al enorm is teruggelopen in aantal, neem de bijensterfte, of alleen al het feit dat sinds de 70er jaren wereldwijd twee derde van het aantal insecten is uitgestorven o.a. door het gebruik van Roundup, waarin het kankerverwekkende glyfosaat is verwerkt......

Dat het Penrtagon (middels DARPA) meewerkt aan deze manipulatie doet het ergste vermoeden: niet ondenkbaar dat men daar een andere manier zoekt om een VS onwelgevalllig land op de knieën te dwingen door bestuivers steriel te maken en zo oogsten te saboteren. Als het om het Pentagon of de geheime diensten van de VS gaat, hoef je nergens meer van op te kijken......

Opvallend weer dat naast het Pentagon ook de Bill and Linda Gates Foundation zich bezig houdt met deze genetische manipulatie..... ('leuke combi ook': het Pentagon en de B&M Gates foundation....)

The billionaire Bill Gates is excited about the potential of this new technology. [4] He hopes to get rid of mosquitos that pass on diseases, but until now no scientist has been able to assess the risk. [5] We don't want to solve one problem only to create another bigger one. [6]

Imagine we eradicate one species of mosquitoes, but what happens to frogs, birds and fish feeding on mosquitoes and their eggs? How will the behaviour of other animals change when mosquitoes disappear? Deer may not hide in the mountains to protect themselves against their bites, instead staying in valleys and feeding differently.

The biggest imaginable risk is the collapse of whole ecosystems happening with the release of even a handful of gene drive mosquitoes. With what we know about gene drives now, their effects cannot be predicted, stopped, or reversed. We want to support the great system that is nature and understand it before we mess with it. A moratorium will give us the time to work out what we need to do next to protect nature and life.

The upcoming meeting of experts is to inform EU and global decision makers about the risks. This is the moment we need to be heard. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet who will participate and we cannot address them directly, but only two of us will join the meeting - and we need them to be powerful.

Trump promoot anti-malariamiddel voor 2de keer als remedie tegen het Coronavirus

Dat we met een vol-idioot* te maken hebben in het Witte Huis zal nog weinigen buiten de VS verbazen en ja, een houding tegenover Trump die zeker moet zijn gegroeid toen hij een paar weken terug liet weten dat het wellicht een goed idee is om ontsmettingsmiddelen te slikken dan wel te injecteren....... 

Alweer heeft Trump aangetoond een gevaarlijke gek te zijn. Vannacht op BBC World Service het bericht dat Trump voor de tweede keer sinds de Corona-uitbraak in de VS een pleidooi heeft gehouden om als preventie tegen besmetting met het virus, dagelijks een anti-malariamiddel te slikken en zo hield deze dwaas de toehoorders voor: hij heeft nog steeds het virus niet opgelopen...... 

Nee, vind je het gek, Trumps conditie zou volgens deskundigen uitstekend zijn (een vereiste om het virus niet te krijgen dan wel er niet of minder ziek van te worden).... Daarnaast is men in het Witte Huis verplicht een mondmasker te dragen, iets waar Trump met geen woord over rept, niet op Twitter, noch tijdens persconferenties..... Niet zo vreemd daar hij eerder liet weten dat het Coronavirus al voor Pasen zou zijn uitgewoed in de VS en nadat hij dit virus aanvankelijk als een griepje beoordeelde, de moeite van het bespreken niet waard, anders dan zijn tegenstanders, die het virus wel serieus namen, daarmee om de oren te slaan.....

Het gebruik van dit anti-malaria middel zou bovendien niet zonder medische risico's zijn......

Je kan er dan ook donder op zeggen dat een groot deel van zijn achterban dit anti-malariamiddel zal slikken, zonder dat ze de gevaren daarvan kennen..... Een tweede negatief effect van zo'n knotsgekke uitlating is het gevaar dat het anti-malariamiddel schaars zal worden, zodat mensen in arme landen het helemaal kunnen vergeten een middel tegen malaria te kunnen vinden en nog meer mensen dan 'normaal' zullen sterven aan malaria..... 

Wedden dat Trump aandelen heeft in de farmaceutische industrie??

Gates liet onlangs weten dat een vaccin tegen het Coronavirus waarschijnlijk binnen 18 maanden beschikbaar zal zijn, hij onderhoudt dan ook nauwe vriendschapsbanden met de grote farmaceuten

Robert Kennedy jr. is uiterst kritisch over de bemoeienissen van Gates met de gezondheidszorg en stelt dat Gates macht vergaart die hem niet toekomt en zou mogen toekomen. Zo is Gates bezig een wereldwijd vaccinatie identiteitsbewijs te ontwikkelen (met Microsoft) dat hem dictatoriale macht zou kunnen geven over wereldwijde gezondheidspolitiek..... (dit bericht lag al te lang 'op de plank' intussen spreekt men over een verplicht vaccinatiepaspoort)

Ongelofelijk te lezen dat Gates zich inkocht in een Indiaas inentingsprogramma tegen polio, t.w.: National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI), waar de vaccinaties tussen 2000 en 2017 hebben geleid tot verlammingen bij zo'n 490.000 kinderen..... Uiteindelijk werden Gates en zijn organisatie 'vriendelijk verzocht zich terug te trekken' uit India......(ofwel: ze werden het land uit gedonderd)

Als Gates macht zou krijgen over de wereldwijde gezondheidspolitiek zullen er meer ongelukken gebeuren dan in India, waar zoals gezegd een poliovaccinatieprogramma van Gates tot de invaliditeit hebben geleid van bijna een half miljoen kinderen..... Echter niet alleen in India hebben deze vaccinaties voor veel ellende gezorgd, ook de Filipijnen, Congo en Afghanistan werden daardoor getroffen...... De explosie van het aantal poliogevallen in 2017 is gerelateerd aan de vaccinaties 'van Gates', sterker nog: in 2018 bleek dat 70% van de wereldwijde poliogevallen zijn te danken aan vaccinaties tegen deze ziekte..... 

In datzelfde jaar, dus 2017, gaf de Wereld Gezondheidsorganisatie (WHO) toe dat de excplosie van poliogevallen alles te maken had met de vaccinatie tegen dit virus........ 

In 2014 werd bekendgemaakt dat de WHO werd beschuldigd met een tetanus campagne in Kenia miljoenen vrouwen te hebben gesteriliseerd.... De WHO ontkende aanvankelijk dat dit het geval was, maar onafhankelijke laboratoria bevestigden dat het vaccin inderdaad stoffen bevatte waarmee men gesteriliseerd kan worden, daarna moest de WHO dit inderdaad toegeven......

Ook een door de Gates Foundation gefinancieerde experimentele HPV vaccinatie (tegen baarmoederhalskanker) bij 23.000 meisjes in India, zorgde voor ernstige bijwerkingen bij 1.200 meisjes, van wie er 7 overleden.....

In 2017 werd na een studie vastgesteld dat DTP (difterie, tetanus en polio) injecties in Afrika meer doden maakte dan de te voorkomen ziekten en dat zelfs 10 keer meer kinderen overleden door die vaccinatie, dan de kinderen die dit vaccin niet hadden gekregen..... Desondanks weigert de WHO dit vaccin terug ter trekken uit haar projecten.......

Over de WHO geproken, volgens Kennedy zit dat orgaan in de zak van de farmaceuten en daar heb je niet veel fantasie voor nodig, zeker als je het fanatisme ziet van dit orgaan op het gebied van vaccinaties..... 

En dan vindt men het vreemd dat zoveel mensen kritisch zijn over het ongebreideld vaccineren van kinderen..... 

Gates wordt er door advocaten op gebied van de gezondheidszorg van beschuldigd macht te vergaren over organisaties als Unicef...... Gates stuurt deze organisaties weg van zaken die met name in ontwikkelingslanden veel belangrijker zijn: schoon water, hygiëne, goede voeding en economische ontwikkeling...... Niet vreemd dan ook de conclusie dat Gates met zijn handelen de winsten van de grote farmaceuten spekt.......

Beste bezoeker, als je het volgende artikel leest 'krijg je wel het gevoel' dat vaccinaties 'iets minder veilig zijn' dan men ons wil laten geloven...... Ook een figuur als viroloog Osterhaus voedt dit soort gevoelens, daar hij volkomen is verknoopt met de farmaceutische maffia en ja die farmaceuten hebben belang bij zoveel mogelijk vaccineren...... Hoe kan je deze figuur nog geloven??!!!

Gates’ obsession with vaccines seems to be fueled by a conviction to save the world with technology.

Promising his share of $450 million of $1.2 billion to eradicate Polio, Gates took control of India’s National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (NTAGI) which mandated up to 50 doses (Table 1) of polio vaccines through overlapping immunization programs to children before the age of five. Indian doctors blame the Gates campaign for a devastating non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP) epidemic that paralyzed 490,000 children beyond expected rates between 2000 and 2017. In 2017, the Indian government dialed back Gates’ vaccine regimen and asked Gates and his vaccine policies to leave India. NPAFP rates dropped precipitously.

In 2017, the World Health Organization (WHO) reluctantly admitted that the global explosion in polio is predominantly vaccine strain. The most frightening epidemics in Congo, Afghanistan, and the Philippines, are all linked to vaccines. In fact, by 2018, 70% of global polio cases were vaccine strain.

During Gates’ 2002 MenAfriVac campaign in Sub-Saharan Africa, Gates’ operatives forcibly vaccinated thousands of African children against meningitis. Approximately 50 of the 500 children vaccinated developed paralysis.

South African newspapers complained, “We are guinea pigs for the drug makers.” Nelson Mandela’s former Senior Economist, Professor Patrick Bond, describes Gates’ philanthropic practices as “ruthless and immoral.”

In 2010, the Gates Foundation funded a phase 3 trial of GSK’s* experimental malaria vaccine, killing 151 African infants and causing serious adverse effects including paralysis, seizure, and febrile convulsions to 1,048 of the 5,949 children.
In 2010, Gates committed $10 billion to the WHO saying, “We must make this the decade of vaccines.” 
 
A month later, Gates said in a Ted Talk that new vaccines “could reduce population”.
In 2014, Kenya’s Catholic Doctors Association (KCDA) accused the WHO of chemically sterilizing millions of unwilling Kenyan women with a  “tetanus” vaccine campaign. Independent labs found a sterility formula in every vaccine tested. After denying the charges, WHO finally admitted it had been developing the sterility vaccines for over a decade.  Similar accusations came from Tanzania, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Philippines.

In 2014, the Gates Foundation funded tests of experimental HPV vaccines, developed by Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) and Merck, on 23,000 young girls in remote Indian provinces.  
Approximately 1,200 suffered severe side effects, including autoimmune and fertility disorders. Seven died. Indian government investigations charged that Gates-funded researchers committed pervasive ethical violations: pressuring vulnerable village girls into the trial, bullying parents, forging consent forms, and refusing medical care to the injured girls. The case is now in the country’s Supreme Court.

A 2017 study (Morgenson et. al. 2017) showed that WHO’s popular DTP vaccine is killing more African children than the diseases it prevents. DTP-vaccinated girls suffered 10x the death rate of children who had not yet received the vaccine. WHO has refused to recall the lethal vaccine which it forces upon tens of millions of African children annually.

Global public health advocates around the world accuse Gates of steering WHO’s agenda away from the projects that are proven to curb infectious diseases: clean water, hygiene, nutrition, and economic development.

The Gates Foundation only spends about $650 million of its $5 billion dollar budget on these areas. 

They say he has diverted agency resources to serve his personal philosophy that good health only comes in a syringe.

In addition to using his philanthropy to control WHO, UNICEF, GAVI, and PATH, Gates funds a private pharmaceutical company that manufactures vaccines, and additionally is donating $50 million to 12 pharmaceutical companies to speed up development of a coronavirus vaccine.

In his recent media appearances, Gates appears confident that the Covid-19 crisis will now give him the opportunity to force his dictatorial vaccine programs on American children.

Tamara Pearson doet vrijwilligerswerk voor een opvang van daklozen in Mexico stad, deze opvang is gesloten vanwege het Coronavirus....... Aan de hand van haar ervaringen heeft ze een artikel geschreven met de strekking dat de maatregelen die de rijke landen hebben genomen tegen het virus, desastreus zijn voor arme landen en ronduit een ramp voor arme en/of dakloze mensen in die landen...... (aan het eind van mijn schrijven nog een opmerking over het voorgaande, die ook voor de rijke landen geldt) 

Pearson begint haar artikel met het voorbeeld van een 72 jarige dakloze man die buiten de opvang zit waar zij werkt, maar waartoe ook hij geen toegang meer heeft...... De man heeft diabetes en is door zijn voorraad insuline heen en zal daardoor niet lang meer hebben te leven........

Terecht merkt Pearson op dat de mensen die afhankelijk zijn van opvang voor het overgrote deel bestaan uit vluchtelingen, die geweld zijn ontvlucht in hun moederland, geweld dat voor het overgrote deel is ontstaan door ingrijpen van de VS, dus staatsgrepen tegen democratisch gekozen regeringen, die niet in het door de VS gewenste gareel lopen..... Het laatste land dat dit overkwam is Bolivia, waar de president Evo Morales, met grote meerderheid werd gekozen. Hij was de eerste president die uit het overgrote deel van het volk komt, ofwel de oorspronkelijke bevolking, die vanaf het moment dat de eerste witte psychopaat hun land betrad zijn vervolgd en het slachtoffer werden van de grootste genocide ooit, die in de 3 Amerika's.......

Ongelofelijk genoeg heeft de VS de afgelopen 2 weken 7.000 vluchtelingen het land uitgezet, tijdens een crisis waar landen als Mexico het land op slot hebben gezet en men in feite geen kans heeft te overleven anders dan via de liefdadigheid, echter ook deze vorm van hulp ligt op haar gat. In de stad waar Pearson woont heeft de helft van de bevolking weinig of geen toegang tot water, waar 65% van de bevolking werkloos is geworden door de maatregelen tegen het virus en dat in een land waar geen werkloosheidsuitkeringen worden betaald, ofwel het zal niet lang duren voor deze mensen op straat worden gezet...... Van de ouderen in Mexico en de rest van Midden-Amerika heeft maar zo'n 20% een pensioen.....

De Mexicaanse regering heeft zoals gezegd het land voor een groot deel op slot gedaan en alleen bedrijven die van cruciaal belang zijn, zoals supermarkten zijn open..... Helaas kan de straathandel het zich niet permitteren thuis te blijven, waardoor deze handel gewoon doorgaat, ofwel de maatregelen van de regering hebben in feite geen zin......

Pearson noemt ook Zuid-Afrika, waar afstand houden niet eens mogelijk is in een groot aantal arme sloppenwijken, waar men in 1 zo'n wijk 380 toiletten heeft voor 20.000 mensen..... De Centraal Afrikaanse Republiek heeft zegge en schrijve 3 beademingsapparaten op een bevolking van 5 miljoen mensen..... 

Het beleid moet drastisch omgegooid worden, als we een virus als het huidige Coronavirus (COVID-19) echt willen bestrijden zullen we arme landen op grote schaal moeten helpen, immers als we dat niet doen zal zo'n virus slachtoffers blijven eisen, ook in de witte rijke landen, vergeet niet het volgende cliché: een virus trekt zich niets aan van grenzen!!

Pearson stelt terecht dat grote bedrijven en regeringen verantwoordelijk moeten worden gehouden voor het creëren van ongelijkheid, met als gevolg dat er grote aantallen mensen zullen sterven, daar deze niet van belang zijn voor die bedrijven en regeringen..... Arme landen hebben door de Corona hamsterzucht van de rijke landen geen of amper toegang tot medische middelen als tests en medische apparatuur, deze medische hulpmiddelen zijn door de grote vraag van rijke landen zo duur geworden dat deze arme landen daar geen geld voor hebben, een schande van enorme proporties en dan maar elkaar veren de reet steken met termen als 'saamhorigheid en solidariteit', zo vals als de pest!! 

Lees het artikel van Pearson en zegt het voort, tijd dat het rijke westen eindelijk eens echt wat doet aan de enorme armoede in zoveel landen, armoede die de grote westerse bedrijven in de kaart speelt en die door hen in stand wordt gehouden..... Als er dan een figuur als de Boliviaanse president Morales opstaat die de grote bedrijven nationaliseert, is dat een alarmsignaal voor de VS, die daarop middels smerig handelen van de CIA de boel op scherp zet, waar de eerste stap van VS terreur het organiseren is van een opstand, zoals in Bolivia gebeurde..... Het voorgaande terwijl Morales een uitstekend economisch beleid voerde, een groot aantal mensen uit de armoede trok, alfabetisering met succes op touw zette en goede gezondheidszorg plus woningbouw ook voor de arme Bolivianen toegankelijk maakte......

The Self-Centered Rich Country Response to Pandemics and Crises is Wrecking Poor Countries

I’m squatting on a round piece of concrete, and a 72-year-old man is sitting in the gutter, his walking stick beside him. He tells me that after being deported from the United States, he has been hiking the streets of Mexico City trying to find somewhere to stay. But all the refuges are closed due to the pandemic, including the one we’re sitting outside of, where I volunteer. He has run out of insulin for his diabetes and says he can’t walk any more.
I’m aware that he may not survive much longer. He’s the fifth person that day that I have to turn away and I can’t stand it.

Back in the migrant refuge, we organize working groups and events to add structure to the empty days and try to prevent tension building up. It’s bad enough that many of the refugees here have fled violence, only to wait months for their visas, to now be stuck inside because of the quarantine, unable to work, even informally.

Over a period of less than two weeks, some 7,000 migrants have been deported from the US, with the virus as the excuse. And here too, Mexico is deporting refugees and migrants to the Guatemalan border, even though it is closed and there’s no interstate transport operating there. Hondurans and others are stranded, with nowhere to stay and no way to return to their country. Many may be killed if they do return. So far, the contingency measures seem to be doing more harm than good.

Here, we watch the videos of people cheering for health workers in London, and they are inspiring, but they don’t really connect. We know our health system won’t be able to handle much. We also know that with 65% of the workforce being informal and with no such thing as unemployment benefits, the economic impact of quarantining will be devastating to us. 
Already, in my city of Puebla, half the population has no access to water, or not enough. Soon, people will get kicked out of homes, and hunger – already on their minds – will likely become common.

The national government has declared that only essential shops and services can stay open. Those who can, are taking the quarantine seriously. But so many people aren’t able to stay at home that it is a bit futile. The woman with the mole stall outside the Oxxo shop near my house is still serving food, the street stalls selling phone cases and gadgets on 8^th street are still there, the indigenous woman who sits on the ground selling beautiful Mexican “rag” dolls, is still there. I estimate that around 60% of shops and stalls are still going.

In Central America and Mexico, only 20% of old people have a pension. Many are still working, in close to slave-like conditions. And in South Africa, distancing is impossible when settlements can have just 380 toilets for 20,000 people. Risk, fear, and violence, are part of life for many in poor countries. Poverty is a never-ending war, and being defenseless and unsafe – health wise and economically, means life is up for grabs all the time. It’s understandable then that people react with some self-preserving indifference to the quarantine. And that’s why it isn’t reasonable to take the Chinese and European models for responding to the pandemic and transplant them on to poorer countries.

When I see tweets about “these sad times” I feel frustrated. Yes, these are tough times, but things have been horrific for a long time now for the majority of the world – for poorer people and for brown people. But the mainstream media, history books, and movies, teach us to see the world through the eyes of the white first world. That’s where the heroes come from, where news matters.

It has never been considered urgent to update the world on the daily deaths from starvation (24,600) or on the numbers of people working in forced labor or marriage (40.3 million). 
Awareness of the savage impact of the US’s war on Afghanistan is low. In 2018, there were an estimated 228 million cases of malaria, globally, and 405,000 deaths from it – mostly children. But the people dying are the poorest of the poor, in African countries and in India. Malaria, starvation, exploitation, femicides, slum cities and more are crises that the world won’t stop for.

The so-called “third” world is the dispensable world. The year 2008 was a “financial crisis,” but the ongoing global inequality that leaves over half the world living in undignified conditions is not a crisis, it is acceptable.

Meanwhile, the economic and social consequences of the pandemic contingency measures will be much more severe in poorer countries and poorer communities. Already, some 2,500 people are murdered each month in Mexico, and violent crime is only likely to increase as more and more people lose their incomes. Sexual assault rates are also likely increasing.

Add to this the huge global resource inequality which means that most poorer countries can not respond to the virus in the same way as Europe and parts of Asia, even if they want to. The Central African Republic, for example, has just three ventilators for its population of 5 million people. While the US has around 160,000 ventilators – and that isn’t enough, Mexico has just a few hundred.
The US and Europe are hogging access to medical equipment, masks, and testing materials. The New York Times reported that African and Latin American countries have been told by manufacturers that orders for testing kits won’t be filled for months, because almost everything they produce is going to the US and Europe. Prices on these goods have also skyrocketed, making it harder for poorer regions to acquire them. So far, the numbers of confirmed cases in poorer countries are lower, but analysis of those numbers should bare in mind that such countries don’t have access to the reagents used for testing and are stuck doing nothing, unable to test even health care workers.

While the #StayAtHome movement is an incredible display of human solidarity and of our ability to actually work together for the common good, it also puts the onus of the solution to the pandemic on individual people. And indeed, we are part of the solution. But governments and corporations should be held accountable for the inequalities they have perpetuated and that are decisive in who lives or dies, and how many.

In this world, where suits and window dressings and hotel lobbies are designed with the utmost care, but health and poverty prevention plans are not, it is pointless to talk about beating this virus without addressing the context it is flourishing in. Along with measures like rent freezes and guaranteeing workers’ rights, really addressing a global pandemic involves public health planning that cross borders and confronting global inequality and the climate crisis.

Venezuela: niet Maduro maar de VS helpt dit land om zeep >> Maduro vraagt VN om medische hulpmiddelen

Op Venezuelanalysis.com werd vorige week woensdag een artikel gepubliceerd over het tekort aan medische apparatuur en medicijnen, daar deze zaken of veel te laat of on het geheel niet worden geleverd door de sancties die de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS Venezuela heeft opgelegd......

Schande, de manier waarop de reguliere media en veel zogenaamde Zuid- en Midden-Amerika deskundigen spreken over Venezuela: de ellende zou aan het beleid van Maduro liggen, terwijl de VS al jaren geleden begon met haar sancties tegen Venezuela...... In eerst instantie nog via de grote supermarkten in Venezuela, veelal in handen van eigenaren in de VS, die onder zware druk werden gezet door de Obama administratie hun winkels in Venezuela niet langer te bevoorraden.......

Nu is er een heel pakket van maatregelen opgetuigd, zo kan Venezuela niet langer beschikken over haar banktegoeden in Zwitserland, Canada, EU en Panama..... Bedrijven die handelen met Venezuela kunnen op maatregelen van wereldpsychopaat VS rekenen..... De VS, het gestolen land dat onbeschaamd denkt haar wet overal en nergens te kunnen laten gelden en dat daadwerkelijk probeert af te dwingen in wat niet andere gezien kan worden dan economische oorlogsvoering....... Daarom is het ook van het allerhoogste belang dat de wereld het SWIFT betalingssysteem laat vallen*, een systeem dat door de VS wordt misbruikt om landen naar de afgrond te dwingen.....

Het is onbegrijpelijk dat men de VS keer op keer laat begaan met haar meer dan schandelijke sancties (ronduit terreur), waardoor eerder al 500.000 kinderen in Irak om het leven kwamen (dat vond de 'democratische' oorlogsmisdadiger en psychopaat Albright de zaak meer dan waard....).

Naast Venezuela heeft de VS ook Iran sancties opgelegd, terwijl de rest van de wereld het niet eens is met de VS dat het nucleaire verdrag met Iran verscheurde..... Ook nu durven leden van de Trump administratie, zoals Pompeo te stellen dat deze sancties een groot aantal doden zal gaan 'opleveren' in Iran**, maar dat is dan de schuld van de regering in Teheran, ofwel 'de VS kan haar handen in onschuld wassen' (maar dan wel in de zwembaden met het bloed van de slachtoffers die de VS zelf heeft vermoord.....)....... De ongelofelijke kromheid van de redenering die Pompeo zich liet ontvallen, meer dan belachelijk!!

Maduro Calls on UN to Help Break US-led Blockade, Supply Medical Equipment

The Humanised Childbirth Program and Cuban medical mission are also to be expanded.

Merida, November 14, 2018 (venezuelanalysis.com) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has requested international assistance from the United Nations (UN) and, in particular, the UN Development Program (UNDP), to “break” the US-led economic blockade against the country and help supply vital medical equipment.

His call came at a gathering of health sector leaders and activists from the Humanised Childbirth Program in Caracas Tuesday.

“I ask for support from the UNDP, from the UN system, because as you know the imperialist government of the United States is persecuting and blockading us. If I want to buy some essential equipment somewhere in the world to protect our pregnant women, the US government persecutes us and impedes or delays [the purchase],” he stated. “We have a lot of work to do,” he continued.

His statements come amidst a polarising debate concerning international intervention in Venezuela. Opposition forces, as well as regional right wing governments, have been pushing international organisms to declare a humanitarian crisis in the country as justification for a direct foreign intervention.

Caracas has, however, has coincided with UN experts in denying that such a crisis exists, and claims that any direct foreign intervention is cover for regime change efforts.

For his part, the Maduro government has been open to international cooperation, previously requesting UN medical help, as well as for programs which facilitate the voluntary return of migrants. Caracas has also hosted international programs involving foreign specialists, often including Cuban doctors, Russian economists, or Chinese spacial or telecommunications technicians.

The economic blockade against Venezuela includes US financial sanctions, Swiss, EU, Canadian and Panamanian bank account freezes, trade embargos, unilateral measures against international trade payments, and persecution of foreign firms which trade with Venezuela.

Independent estimates report US $6 billion of lost oil revenue as a result of sanctions, whilst government sources have denounced the freezing of payments of imported medical supplies such as anti-malaria or HIV treatments. The vast majority of Venezuela’s medical supplies and equipment are imported, and thus vulnerable to blockading policies by foreign agents.

Humanised Childbirth Program to be expanded

Despite the difficulties caused by the blockade, the government continues to attempt to expand social welfare in Venezuela, announcing Tuesday that the number of local attention centres of the Humanised Childbirth Programis due to be amplified from 124 to 1,000 within six months. The number of professional program ‘promoters’ will also grow from 10,000 to 30,000 in the same time period.

The program, launched in July 2017, looks to promote natural gestational and birthing practices as well as provide sexual education and support to especially young women. It emerged as a result of an increasing trend in Venezuelan hospitals of doctors forcing pregnant women to undergo caesarean sections, both as a means of generating profits in the private clinics, as well as to avoid the extra workload which could be generated by birthing complications.

At the Caracas gathering, President Maduro indicated that the Humanised Childbirth Program is also to be upgraded to ‘social mission’ status.

Venezuela’s social missions are government run welfare programs. It is expected that they will be given constitutional status in the new magna carta currently being drafted by the Constituent Assembly.

Independent report on women's rights

The announcements coincided with the publishing of a comprehensive and independent report on female rights in Venezuela, including access to healthcare and sexual and reproductive rights, by the Entrompe de Falopio (Fallopian Tubing) collective.

The report, which indicates that women have suffered disproportionately from the current economic situation, describes the Humanised Childbirth Program as “very valuable.”

It also informs that 20 percent of Venezuelan women under 20 have gone through a pregnancy, as well as 62 percent of women under 25.

The authors identify maternal death rates, backstreet abortion practices, and income-based poverty which restricts access to overpriced medical supplies as on-going problems.

Cuban medical mission enlarged

A day after Maduro requested international assistance from the UNDP, support also arrived from Venezuela’s anti imperialist ally, Cuba, who sent 500 more specialist doctors to the country, Havana based media outlet Granma reports. This latest instalment brings the total number of Cuban doctors based in Venezuela to 21,700.

The doctors, who arrived in planes from the respective Cuban and Venezuelan state airlines, will strengthen both the leadership and base work of the Cuban mission in the country, and comes as part of the health plan approved by Maduro in the recent congress of health workers.

“As always, Cuba will strengthen the work of its brigade with an eye to building a health system envisaged by the commanders of our revolutions [Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez]. Public healthcare is a priority and a bastion of the Bolivarian Revolution and we will defend it side by side with this people,” stated Dr Fernando Gonzalez, head of the Cuban healthcare mission in Venezuela.

The new doctors will, he stated, focus on health promotion and illness prevention and will be spread across the country.

Cuba has played a leading role in the development of Venezuelan public healthcare during the Bolivarian Revolution. Both the ‘Barrio Adentro’ mission, which seeks to bring healthcare to poor and remote communities, as well as the Jose Gregorio Hernandez mission, which designs prosthetic limbs for disabled people, include a large Cuban contingent of doctors who help plan and run the mission.
