De VS oorlog tegen 'landelijk terrorisme' is een definitieve stap naar een volledige politiestaat.......

De enorme hysterie in de VS na de bestorming van Capitol Hill en het Capitol, gevoed met angst door vooral de reguliere media, is het laatste instrument voor Joe Biden en z'n psychopathische administratie om maatregelen door te voeren die een eind zullen maken aan burgerrechten als:

vrijheid van meningsuiting
het recht om te demonstreren
het recht om fout overheidsbeleid te weerleggen
het recht om jezelf te verdedigen (een omkering van bewijslast, je bent zonder meer schuldig en probeer maar te bewijzen dat dit niet zo is, althans als je die kans al krijgt.....)
het recht op verantwoording en transparantie van de overheid
het recht op privacy (al is daar al praktisch niets van over)
het recht op een onafhankelijke pers (die is al lang ter grave gedragen en de reguliere [afhankelijke] media roepen zelfs om censuur op de sociale media en de rest van het net, censuur die zelfs al wordt toegepast, óók in ons land.....)
het recht op vereniging (wat hier zwaar geweld wordt aangedaan met de Coronamaatregelen...)
het recht op lichamelijke integriteit
het recht op een representatieve volksvertegenwoordiging

Al deze zaken hadden in de VS al 'aan glans verloren' door het aannemen van de Patriot Act na de aanslagen van 11 september 2001 (9/11), een wet die al in 1995 werd opgesteld door de huidige president Joe Biden, onder de naam: 'Omnibus Counterterrorism Act.....' 'Patriot Act II' ofwel de: Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act (DTPA), die de Biden administratie voorbereidt, is de definitieve oorlogsverklaring, niet aan landelijke terreur, maar aan iedere VS burger en aan het laatste restje democratie in dat middels een genocide gestolen land).

Het is duidelijk dat deze nieuwe 'War on Terror' niet alleen een oorlog is die iedere VS burger kan treffen, maar die zoals gezegd definitief een eind zal maken aan de al meer dan waardeloze democratie is zoals de VS die nu nog kent.....

Volgens Michael McGarrity, opperhoofdsmeerpijp van de FBI afdeling van contraterrorisme, ziet de FBI 'huiselijk terrorisme' in de volgende 4 zaken:

raciaal gemotiveerd gewelddadig extremisme
anti regerings/autoriteit extremisme
dierenrechten en milieu extremisme
abortus extremisme

Ofwel als je gezichtspunten onderschrijft die tegengesteld zijn aan wat de regering of andere autoriteiten (als de FBI, NSA of andere geheime diensten >> de VS heeft er meer dan 25) voorstaan, kan je worden aangemerkt als een 'binnenlandse terrorist' en als zodanig worden behandeld (dat geldt dan bijvoorbeeld voor Black Lives Matter [BLM] activisten....)..... Moet je nagaan: dan is de VS de eerste die altijd met een beschuldigende (vieze hypocriete) vinger wijst naar landen waar men hetzelfde omgaat met deze zaken.....

De VS heeft al organisaties opgetuigd die 'misdaden' ('misdaden' als dierenactivisme) moeten voorkomen, dit gebeurt middels 78 fusion centra, die zaken verbinden op federaal niveau (FBI, justitie), regionaal en lokaal gebied, maar ook middels centra die data verzamelen, met hulp van: -gedragswetenschappers, -bedrijven, -de sociale media (Facebook, Twitter enz.) en -'gemeenschapsorganisatoren', dit alles ondersteund met de nieuwste technieken, uiteraard ook op het gebied van kunstmatige intelligentie, gezichtsherkenning, biometrie (identificatiemethoden op basis van unieke lichaamskenmerken) en gedragsepigenetica (met wie men kan zien welke ervaringen tijdens het leven het genetische beeld verouderen)....... Met name die nieuwe technieken vromen een groot gevaar voor alle burgerrechten, daar controle van de massa's tegenwoordig steeds makkelijker wordt, neem alle camera's in steden en dorpen, het 'live scannen' van internetverkeer en ga nog maar een half uur door.......

De Coronacrisis is als olie op het vuur van antidemocratische maatregelen en ook de rest van het westen moet oppassen niet als makke schapen achter de VS aan te lopen en maatregelen van de VS over te nemen, maatregelen die ook hier de democratie volkomen zullen uithollen (immers vergeet niet dat de andere westerse landen maar wat graag antidemocratische maatregelen uit de VS overnemen, niet in de laatste plaats daar deze het regeren [per decreet] vergemakkelijken en totale controle van het volk mogelijk maken, waarbij de reguliere media grote propagandisten zijn van dergelijke maatregelen, zoals ze ook voor censuur zijn op de sociale media en zelfs op het hele internet......

January 31, 2021 "Information Clearing House" - This is how it begins.

We are moving fast down that slippery slope to an authoritarian society in which the only opinions, ideas and speech expressed are the ones permitted by the government and its corporate cohorts.

In the wake of the Jan. 6 riots at the Capitol, “domestic terrorism” has become the new poster child for expanding the government’s powers at the expense of civil liberties.

Of course, “domestic terrorist” is just the latest bull’s eye phrase, to be used interchangeably with “anti-government,” “extremist” and “terrorist,” to describe anyone who might fall somewhere on a very broad spectrum of viewpoints that could be considered “dangerous.”

Watch and see: we are all about to become enemies of the state.

In a déjà vu mirroring of the legislative fall-out from 9/11, and the ensuing build-up of the security state, there is a growing demand in certain sectors for the government to be given expanded powers to root out “domestic” terrorism, the Constitution be damned.

If this is a test of Joe Biden’s worthiness to head up the American police state, he seems ready.

As part of his inaugural address, President Biden pledged to confront and defeat “a rise of political extremism, white supremacy, domestic terrorism.” Biden has also asked the Director of National Intelligence to work with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in carrying out a “comprehensive threat assessment” of domestic terrorism. And then to keep the parallels going, there is the proposed Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021, introduced after the Jan. 6 riots, which aims to equip the government with “the tools to identify, monitor and thwart” those who could become radicalized to violence.

Don’t blink or you’ll miss the sleight of hand.

This is the tricky part of the Deep State’s con game that keeps you focused on the shell game in front of you while your wallet is being picked clean by ruffians in your midst.

It follows the same pattern as every other convenient “crisis” used by the government as an excuse to expand its powers at the citizenry’s expense and at the expense of our freedoms.

As investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald warns:

“The last two weeks have ushered in a wave of new domestic police powers and rhetoric in the name of fighting ‘terrorism’ that are carbon copies of many of the worst excesses of the first War on Terror that began nearly twenty years ago. This New War on Terror—one that is domestic in name from the start and carries the explicit purpose of fighting ‘extremists’ and ‘domestic terrorists’ among American citizens on U.S. soil—presents the whole slew of historically familiar dangers when governments, exploiting media-generated fear and dangers, arm themselves with the power to control information, debate, opinion, activism and protests.”

Greenwald is referring to the USA Patriot Act, passed almost 20 years ago, which paved the way for the eradication of every vital safeguard against government overreach, corruption and abuse.

Free speech, the right to protest, the right to challenge government wrongdoing, due process, a presumption of innocence, the right to self-defense, accountability and transparency in government, privacy, press, sovereignty, assembly, bodily integrity, representative government: all of these and more have become casualties in the government’s war on the American people, a war that has grown more pronounced since Sept. 11, 2001.

Some members of Congress get it.

In a letter opposing expansion of national security powers, a handful congressional representatives urged their colleagues not to repeat the mistakes of the past:

“While many may find comfort in increased national security powers in the wake of this attack, we must emphasize that we have been here before and we have seen where that road leads. Our history is littered with examples of initiatives sold as being necessary to fight extremism that quickly devolve into tools used for the mass violation of the human and civil rights of the American people… To expand the government’s national security powers once again at the expense of the human and civil rights of the American people would only serve to further undermine our democracy, not protect it.”

Cue the Emergency State, the government’s Machiavellian version of crisis management that justifies all manner of government tyranny in the so-called name of national security.

This is the power grab hiding in plain sight, obscured by the political machinations of the self-righteous elite. This is how the government continues to exploit crises and use them as opportunities for power grabs under the guise of national security. Indeed, this is exactly how the government added red flag gun laws, precrime surveillance, fusion centers, threat assessments, mental health assessments, involuntary confinement to its arsenal of weaponized powers.

The objective is not to make America safe again. That has never been the government’s aim.

Greenwald explains:

“Why would such new terrorism laws be needed in a country that already imprisons more of its citizens than any other country in the world as the result of a very aggressive set of criminal laws? What acts should be criminalized by new ‘domestic terrorism’ laws that are not already deemed criminal? They never say, almost certainly because—just as was true of the first set of new War on Terror laws—their real aim is to criminalize that which should not be criminalized: speech, association, protests, opposition to the new ruling coalition.”

So you see, the issue is not whether Donald Trump or Roger Stone or MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell deserve to be banned from Twitter, even if they’re believed to be spouting misinformation, hateful ideas, or fomenting discontent.

Rather, we should be asking whether any corporation or government agency or entity representing a fusion of the two should have the power to muzzle, silence, censor, regulate, control and altogether eradicate so-called “dangerous” or “extremist” ideas.

This unilateral power to muzzle free speech represents a far greater danger than any so-called right- or left-wing extremist might pose.

The ramifications are so far-reaching as to render almost every American an extremist in word, deed, thought or by association.

Yet where many go wrong is in assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or challenging the government’s authority in order to be flagged as a suspicious character, labeled an enemy of the state and locked up like a dangerous criminal.

Eventually, all you will really need to do is use certain trigger words, surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, drive a car, stay at a hotel, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, question government authority, or generally live in the United States.

The groundwork has already been laid.

The trap is set.

All that is needed is the right bait.

With the help of automated eyes and ears, a growing arsenal of high-tech software, hardware and techniques, government propaganda urging Americans to turn into spies and snitches, as well as social media and behavior sensing software, government agents have been busily spinning a sticky spider-web of threat assessments, behavioral sensing warnings, flagged “words,” and “suspicious” activity reports aimed at snaring potential enemies of the state.

It’s the American police state’s take on the dystopian terrors foreshadowed by George Orwell, Aldous Huxley and Phillip K. Dick all rolled up into one oppressive pre-crime and pre-thought crime package.

What’s more, the technocrats who run the surveillance state don’t even have to break a sweat while monitoring what you say, what you read, what you write, where you go, how much you spend, whom you support, and with whom you communicate. Computers by way of AI (artificial intelligence) now do the tedious work of trolling social media, the internet, text messages and phone calls for potentially anti-government remarks, all of which is carefully recorded, documented, and stored to be used against you someday at a time and place of the government’s choosing.

For instance, police in major American cities have been using predictive policing technology that allows them to identify individuals—or groups of individuals—most likely to commit a crime in a given community. Those individuals are then put on notice that their movements and activities will be closely monitored and any criminal activity (by them or their associates) will result in harsh penalties.

In other words, the burden of proof is reversed: you are guilty before you are given any chance to prove you are innocent.

Dig beneath the surface of this kind of surveillance/police state, however, and you will find that the real purpose of pre-crime is not safety but control.

Red flag gun laws merely push us that much closer towards a suspect society where everyone is potentially guilty of some crime or another and must be preemptively rendered harmless.

This is the same government that has a growing list—shared with fusion centers and law enforcement agencies—of ideologies, behaviors, affiliations and other characteristics that could flag someone as suspicious and result in their being labeled potential enemies of the state.

For instance, if you believe in and exercise your rights under the Constitution (namely, your right to speak freely, worship freely, associate with like-minded individuals who share your political views, criticize the government, own a weapon, demand a warrant before being questioned or searched, or any other activity viewed as potentially anti-government, racist, bigoted, anarchic or sovereign), you could be at the top of the government’s terrorism watch list.

Moreover, as a New York Times editorial warns, you may be an anti-government extremist (a.k.a. domestic terrorist) in the eyes of the police if you are afraid that the government is plotting to confiscate your firearms, if you believe the economy is about to collapse and the government will soon declare martial law, or if you display an unusual number of political and/or ideological bumper stickers on your car.

According to one FBI latest report, you might also be classified as a domestic terrorism threat if you espouse conspiracy theories, especially if you “attempt to explain events or circumstances as the result of a group of actors working in secret to benefit themselves at the expense of others” and are “usually at odds with official or prevailing explanations of events.”

Additionally, according to Michael C. McGarrity, the FBI’s assistant director of the counterterrorism division, the bureau now “classifies domestic terrorism threats into four main categories: racially motivated violent extremism, anti-government/anti-authority extremism, animal rights/environmental extremism, and abortion extremism.”

In other words, if you dare to subscribe to any views that are contrary to the government’s, you may well be suspected of being a domestic terrorist and treated accordingly.

Again, where many Americans go wrong is in naively assuming that you have to be doing something illegal or harmful in order to be flagged and targeted for some form of intervention or detention.

In fact, U.S. police agencies have been working to identify and manage potential extremist “threats,” violent or otherwise, before they can become actual threats for some time now.

In much the same way that the USA Patriot Act was used as a front to advance the surveillance state, allowing the government to establish a far-reaching domestic spying program that turned every American citizen into a criminal suspect, the government’s anti-extremism program renders otherwise lawful, nonviolent activities as potentially extremist.

In fact, all you need to do these days to end up on a government watch list or be subjected to heightened scrutiny is use certain trigger words (like cloud, pork and pirates), surf the internet, communicate using a cell phone, limp or stutter, drive a car, stay at a hotel, attend a political rally, express yourself on social media, appear mentally ill, serve in the military, disagree with a law enforcement official, call in sick to work, purchase materials at a hardware store, take flying or boating lessons, appear suspicious, appear confused or nervous, fidget or whistle or smell bad, be seen in public waving a toy gun or anything remotely resembling a gun (such as a water nozzle or a remote control or a walking cane), stare at a police officer, question government authority, or appear to be pro-gun or pro-freedom.

Be warned: once you get on such a government watch list—whether it’s a terrorist watch list, a mental health watch list, a dissident watch list, or a red flag gun watch list—there’s no clear-cut way to get off, whether or not you should actually be on there.

You will be tracked wherever you go.

You will be flagged as a potential threat and dealt with accordingly.

This is pre-crime on an ideological scale and it’s been a long time coming.

The government has been building its pre-crime, surveillance network in concert with fusion centers (of which there are 78 nationwide, with partners in the corporate sector and globally), data collection agencies, behavioral scientists, corporations, social media, and community organizers and by relying on cutting-edge technology for surveillance, facial recognition, predictive policing, biometrics, and behavioral epigenetics (in which life experiences alter one’s genetic makeup).

If you’re not scared yet, you should be.

Connect the dots.

Start with the powers amassed by the government under the USA Patriot Act, note the government’s ever-broadening definition of what it considers to be an “extremist,” then add in the government’s detention powers under NDAA*, the National Security Agency’s far-reaching surveillance networks, and fusion centers that collect and share surveillance data between local, state and federal police agencies.

To that, add tens of thousands of armed, surveillance drones and balloons that are beginning to blanket American skies, facial recognition technology that will identify and track you wherever you go and whatever you do. And then to complete the picture, toss in the real-time crime centers being deployed in cities across the country, which will be attempting to “predict” crimes and identify so-called criminals before they happen based on widespread surveillance, complex mathematical algorithms and prognostication programs.

Hopefully you’re starting to understand how easy we’ve made it for the government to identify, label, target, defuse and detain anyone it views as a potential threat for a variety of reasons that run the gamut from mental illness to having a military background to challenging its authority to just being on the government’s list of persona non grata.

There’s always a price to pay for standing up to the powers-that-be.

Yet as I make clear in my book Battlefield America: The War on the American People, you don’t even have to be a dissident to get flagged by the government for surveillance, censorship and detention.

All you really need to be is a citizen of the American police state.

Twitter komt met een nieuwe vorm van censuur: 'Birdwatch', naar voorbeeld van Wikipedia

Gisteren werd bekendgemaakt dat Twitter een nieuwe vorm van censuur zal introduceren, dit sociaal media platform voert als Facebook en YouTube al geruime tijd censuur uit ook in ons land...... Voor de nieuwe manier waarop Twitter censuur zal uitoefenen heeft het naar Wikipedia gekeken, waar men berichten bekijkt en controleert op 'misinformatie' en 'misleidende' informatie verwijdert. Eén en ander op basis van een door de gemeenschap van gebruikers gecontroleerde inhoud en dat (nogmaals) vergeleken met de manier waarop Wikipedia bijdragen op inhoud controleert. Bij Twitter noemt men deze vorm van censuur 'Birdwatch....'

Bij Wikipedia heeft e.e.a geleid tot een manier van behandeling van informatie die wordt gegeven over een onderwerp zoals oorlog en vrede, deze wordt weergegeven zoals die door de westerse machthebbers graag wordt gezien, ofwel daar wordt juist misinformatie en nepnieuws (fake news) gebruikt als leidend in artikelen die op zoekopdrachten worden weergegeven...... Anders gezegd: Wikipedia is op heel veel vlakken al lang niet meer te vertrouwen, zoals je ook regelmatig op dit blog hebt kunnen lezen.

Het is te zot voor woorden dat in feite platforms bedoeld voor het delen van informatie door gebruikers zich beschuldigen aan censuur en dat op een manier zoals die wordt gebruikt in dictaturen, ofwel de propaganda van zo'n dictatuur is leidend en dat betekent in het westen dat de neoliberale ideologie leidend is in artikelen over de huidige maatschappij en alles wat daarbij komt zoals het al eerder aangehaalde voorbeeld van oorlog en vrede..... Alsof je de eerste beste slechte journalist van de Telegraaf censuur laat uitvoeren..... Het is zoals al zo vaak gezegd geen taak van sociale media platforms om censuur uit te oefenen op wat gebruikers te zeggen hebben, zij dienen alleen als doorgeefluik!!

Na Donald Trump roepen nu zelfs de zogenaamde linkse krachten in de Democratische Partij (en een aantal buiten die partij) in de VS om censuur op de sociale media, zonder dat ze beseffen dat ze zelf de gevolgen van die censuur over zich heen zullen krijgen, door blokkering van de accounts die ze op die sociale media gebruiken........ Kritiek geuit op de sociale media t.a.v. een volgende illegale oorlog van de VS? Grote kans dat dit binnen afzienbare tijd zal worden 'weggecensureerd' op de sociale media....... Terwijl er op de sociale media volop propaganda wordt gemaakt voor het voeren van oorlogen..... (over het weren van geweld op die media gesproken.....)

Als het zo doorgaat is er van het internet zoals wij dit kennen straks niet veel meer over en zal je voor alternatieve nieuwsgaring naar het dark web moeten...... (iets wat de reguliere westerse media en politici het liefst zo snel mogelijk voor elkaar willen krijgen, men schreeuwt erom bij wijze van spreken....) Voorts kan er niet genoeg op worden gehamerd dat censuur alleen thuishoort in een dictatuur als een politiestaat, wat de VS in feite al is....

Overigens een schandaal dat Twitter het woord birdwatch gebruikt, een jaarlijks werkerend gebeuren waarbij burgers het aantal vogels tellen in hun tuin of op hun balkon en niet bedoeld om burgers te laten klikken over wat hen niet welgevallig is..... (en reken maar dat de zogenaamde journalisten van de reguliere westerse media vooraan staan om zaken aan te geven, terwijl ze zichzelf keer op keer beschuldigen aan het brengen van nepnieuws, neem alleen al de berichtgeving van deze 'journalisten' over de illegale oorlogen die de VS deze eeuw is begonnen.......)

CaitlinJohnstone heeft een artikel geschreven over deze zaak, waarin ze wat dieper ingaat op de stof en waarschuwt voor de desastreuze gevolgen van censuur en waarbij ze volkomen terecht stelt dat degenen die de informatie controleren en beheersen, in feite de wereld beheersen (of: wie het nieuws beheerst, beheerst de wereld......):

Twitter has announced that it will be employing "a new community-driven approach to help address misleading information" called Birdwatch which news media are comparing to the model of content moderation used by Wikipedia.

"Twitter unveiled a feature Monday meant to bolster its efforts to combat misinformation and disinformation by tapping users in a fashion similar to Wikipedia to flag potentially misleading tweets," reports NBC. "The new system allows users to discuss and provide context to tweets they believe are misleading or false. The project, titled Birdwatch, is a standalone section of Twitter that will at first only be available to a small set of users, largely on a first-come, first-served basis."

"We know there are a number of challenges toward building a community-driven system like this — from making it resistant to manipulation attempts to ensuring it isn’t dominated by a simple majority or biased based on its distribution of contributors," Twitter's official statement says. "We’ll be focused on these things throughout the pilot."

Such claims provide little reassurance for anyone who's familiar with the establishment narrative control operations which take place on Wikipedia in exactly that way. The Grayzone's Ben Norton did a great two-part report last year on the way concerted, aggressive efforts by a small group of shady-looking Wikipedia editors has succeeded in dominating the site's articles which relate to western imperialist agendas and the reporters who support and oppose those agendas, including getting outlets like WikiLeaks and The Grayzone banned from use as sources despite their having no history of false reports.

"The internet encyclopedia has become a deeply undemocratic platform, dominated by Western state-backed actors and corporate public relations flacks, easily manipulated by powerful forces," wrote Norton. "And it is run by figures who often represent these same elite interests, or align with their regime-change politics."

Since 2018 alternative media voices like The Canary and Media Lens have been reporting on the frenetic editing behavior of a Wikipedia account by the name of "Philip Cross" which works an inhuman number of hours without ever taking a day off, largely targeting the accounts of those who criticize the western empire and voice skepticism of its dominant narratives.

This kind of aggressive narrative management campaign is why when you look at any Wikipedia article about an internationally disputed issue on the world stage, say for example the article about the alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma, Syria, you'll see the word "Bellingcat" no fewer than 20 times as of this writing and a heavy bias toward the western narrative that the Syrian government was responsible for the attack, but won't find information about the gaping plot holes in the story like the ones documented in this excellent article by The Nation's Aaron Maté, nor will you see any links back to this article.

So it's already established that this sort of "community-driven approach" to information control can easily be exploited by well-funded groups which have a vested interest in doing so. The fact that Twitter has already been functioning as a propaganda arm of the US government with regard to its willingness to deplatform accounts from imperialism-targeted nations like Iran, Venezuela, Russia and China means we can only expect this bias to go one way with regard to imperialist narrative management.

The fact that this "Birdwatch" program will most likely be used to determine the dominant narrative on disputed events like potential false flags and what's happening in nations like China and Syria means it's obnoxious that Twitter's post promoting it features an imaginary account saying "Whales are not real! They're robots funded by the government to watch us!!" As though that sort of indisputable falsehood is the sort of post this program will actually be targeting rather than people expressing doubts about things like Russian hackers and the White Helmets.

Twitter chose to use "whales aren't real" as its example of the "misinformation" its new program will be "fighting" not because it is cute and funny, but because using any of the actual narratives it will wind up manipulating would have set off people's alarm bells. Imagine the reaction if they'd chosen something like Covid vaccinations for example, even though this could very well end up being one of the issues Birdwatch winds up exercising narrative control over.

Whoever controls the narrative controls the world. That's all you're ever seeing in all the efforts to manage information via censorship, algorithm changes, "fact" checking, Russian propaganda panic, etc. Humans are story-driven animals, so if you control the stories you control the humans.

The US-centralized oligarchic empire will be doing a lot of evil things in the near future, and it will be necessary to control the narrative about those things. That's all we're really looking at here.

Trumpisme en fascisme eindig je niet met censuur en andere autoritaire maatregelen, maar door de condities te veranderen die e.e.a. mogelijk hebben gemaakt

De bestorming van Capitol Hill en het Capitol op 6 januari jl., wordt door tegenstanders van Trump in de VS 'domestic terrorism' genoemd, wat je zou kunnen vertalen als 'terrorisme in het thuisland', of 'binnenlands terrorisme', al klinken beiden nogal suf. Om dit soort rellen te voorkomen schreeuwt men in de VS om autoritaire maatregelen als censuur van de sociale media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube enz.) en het oproepen om aanhangers van Trump in de gaten te houden (ja ja, dit lijkt wel heel sterk op het 'kopgeld' dat de nazi-Duitse bezetter betaalde voor het verraden van Joden, homo's, Roma, Sinti en anderszins voor de nazi's ondergedoken Nederlanders, terwijl de jeugd in nazi-Duitsland werd opgeroepen hun ouders te verraden als ze kritek hadden op Hitler en zijn misdadigersbende)

Volkomen terecht merkt Caitlin Johnstone op, in het artikel dat ze vandaag publiceerde (opgenomen onder mijn schrijven), dat men dit soort ondemocratische maatregelen niet moet doorvoeren, daar ze het ontstaan van dergelijke ontevredenheid niet tegengaan. Deze onvrede is ontstaan door het regeringsbeleid van de opvolgende VS administraties: geheimhouding van een groot aantal zaken en het behartigen van de belangen van de grote bedrijven, de financiële maffia en de welgestelden i.p.v. de belangen te behartigen van de overgrote meerderheid van het volk in de VS...... (en dan hebben wij nog geen mensen als in de VS die honger moeten lijden, al is dat voor een groot deel te danken aan liefdadigheidsorganisaties, die bijvoorbeeld uitgeprocedeerden, die niet kunnen terugkeren naar hun thuisland, van voedsel en onderdak voorzien...)

Het voorgaande is wel een heel beknopte weergave van wat Caitlin schrijft, maar daar komt het wel op neer. We kunnen deze situatie ook op Nederland van toepassing maken, neem het kinderopvangtoeslagschandaal: overduidelijk dat Rutte en zijn boevenbende zaken onder de pet hebben gehouden en dan gvd durven zeggen dat dit aan de ambtelijke top ligt, te schunnig voor woorden..... Of wat dacht je van de Oekraïne en EU-grondwet referenda, waar het Nederlandse volk een duidelijk mening gaf, maar die men bij wijze van spreken door de plee spoelde en daarna het gore lef had te zeggen dat e.e.a. werd bekokstoofd door de Russen!!

Binnenkort zal het TTIP vrijhandelsverdrag met de VS worden getekend, niet in het belang van het volk, maar van de grote bedrijven...... Overigens hiervoor is de nieuwe PvdA leider Ploumen één van de hoofdverantwoordelijken, waarbij ze durfde te liegen dat er geen ISDS clausule in dat verdrag zou zitten..... Met deze clausule kunnen bedrijven uit de VS de Nederlandse staat voor een geheime rechtbank dagen, mocht deze hun producten weigeren bijvoorbeeld uit hoofde van de volksgezondheid..... De praktijk met dit soort handelsverdragen laat zien dat de regeringen voor het overgrote deel aan het kortste eind trekken..... Deze rechtszaken zijn geheim zodat de consument niet weet welke producent de zaak is begonnen en dan deze producten niet zal kopen ofwel zal boycotten.....

Het fascisme kon hier opbloeien doordat haatzaaiers als Wilders vluchtelingen de schuld gaven van de ellende die anderen is overkomen, zoals het niet kunnen krijgen van een huis door het grote tekort aan woningen, echter niet de vluchtelingen zijn daarvoor verantwoordelijk maar de opvolgende regeringen en gemeenteraden die met opzet de woningnood in stand hebben gehouden en houden.... Zo zijn er sinds 2013 'maar liefst' 100.000 sociale huurwoningen 'verdwenen', ofwel men heeft deze huizen onttrokken aan het totale aanbod aan sociale huurwoningen..... (weet je nog de smerige uitdruking 'scheefwonen', volgens mij geïntroduceerd door eeen VVD ploert) Voorts zijn deze vluchtelingen voor het overgrote deel op de vlucht geslagen doordat het westen illegaal oorlog voerde/voert in het thuisland van deze mensen........ En dat voor oorlogsvoering in landen waar het westen niets te zoeken heeft!!!

Gezien het voorgaande is het behoorlijk griezelig te zien dat men vanwege de Coronacrisis autoitaire maatregelen heeft genomen en nog zal nemen, die de burgerrechten ernstig schaden, terwijl de genomen maatregelen amper een effect hebben op het aantal besmettingen, waarbij nog opgemerkt moet worden dat de test die men als de 'gulden snede' ziet, de PCR test, ernstige tekortkomingen kent, dat onderkende zelfs de maker van deze test en waarvoor hij zelfs heeft gewaarschuwd voor zijn overlijden (ook de Centers for Disease Control and Prevention >> CDC in de VS heeft hiervoor gewaarschuwd!!). En je weet het: als maaatregelen worden doorgevoerd die het werk van politie en geheime diensten vereeenvoudigen, worden deze zelden (helemaal) teruggedraaid en dan spreek ik uiteraard niet over de avondklok, daar deze maatregel een sterk effect heeft op de economie, maar vergeet niet dat de laatste keer dat er sprake was van een avondklok in ons land, dit tijdens de nazi-Duiitse bezetting was.......

Je kan de maatregelen die werden en worden genomen tegen verdere verspreiding van het virus dan ook zien als een grote test voor het moment dat het volk in opstand zal komen tegen onrecht en inhumaan optreden van de overheid....... Het is dan ook vrijwel zeker dat men bijvoorbeeld de censuur die zelfs ook hier al wordt doorgevoerd op de sociale media (tegen zware kritiek op het Coronabeleid), niet zal verdwijnen als het virus eindelijk zal zijn 'overwonnen.......' Niet in de laatste plaats daar de reguliere media hier al lang om hebben geroepen, al een paar jaar voor de uitbraak van het Coronavirus, immers zij hebben gebruikers verloren aan de alternatieve media op de sociale media en het internet in het groot...... (en terecht als je ziet hoe deze media te werk gaan, het steunen van het ijskoude, inhumane neoliberalisme en alles wat daarbij komt kijken zoals oorlogsvoering voor grondstoffen >> zie de illegale oorlogen van de VS en andere NAVO-lidstaten in het Midden-Oosten......)

You Counter Trumpism By Ending The Conditions Which Created It, Not With Authoritarian Policies

The US political/media class have been pushing hard for more authoritarian policies to stave off the threat of "domestic terrorism" in the wake of the Capitol riot. President Biden, who was already working on rolling out new domestic terror policies well before January sixth, confirmed after the riot that he is making these new measures a priority. Political internet censorship is becoming increasingly normalized, and now we're seeing liberals encouraged to form "digital armies" to spy on Trump supporters to report them to the authorities.

And an amazingly large percentage of the US population seems to have no problem with any of this, even in sectors of the political spectrum that should really know better by now.

"What else can we do?" they reason. "What other solution could there possibly be to the threat of dangerous fascists and conspiracy theorists continuing to gain power and influence?"

Well there's a whole lot that can be done, and none of it includes consenting to sweeping new Patriot Act-like authoritarian measures or encouraging monopolistic Silicon Valley plutocrats to censor worldwide political speech. There's just a whole lot of mass-scale narrative manipulation going on to keep it from being obvious to everyone.

The way to stem the tide of Trumpism (or fascism, or white supremacism, or Trump cultism, or whatever term you use for what you're worried about here) is to eliminate the conditions which created it.

Trump was only able to launch his successful faux-populist campaign in the first place by exploiting the widespread pre-existing opinion that there was a swamp that needed draining, a corrupt political system whose leadership does not promote the interests of the people.

Conspiracy theories only exist because the government often does evil things and lies about them with the help of the mass media, forcing people to just guess what's happening behind the opaque wall of government secrecy.

People only get it in their heads that they need a trustworthy strongman to overhaul the system if the system has failed them.

People who are actually interested in ending Trumpism would be promoting an end to the corruption in the political system, an end to the opacity of their government, an end to their uniquely awful electoral system, and an end to the neoliberal policies which have been making Americans poorer and poorer with less and less support from the government which purports to protect them.

But these changes are not being promoted by the US political/media class, because the US political/media class speaks for an empire that depends on these things.

Without corruption, the plutocratic class couldn't use campaign donations and corporate lobbying to install and maintain politicians who will advance their interests.

Without government secrecy, the oligarchic empire could not conspire in secret to advance the military and economic agendas which form the glue that holds the empire together.

Without a lying mass media, people's consent could not be manufactured for wars and a system which does not serve their interests.

Without widespread poverty and domestic austerity, people could not be kept too busy and politically impotent to challenge the massive political influence of the plutocrats.

So the option of stopping the rise of Trumpism by changing the system is taken off the table, which is why you never hear it discussed as a possibility in mainstream circles. The only option people are being offered to debate the pros and cons of is giving more powers to that same corrupt system which created Trump, powers which will be under the control of the next Trumpian figure who is elevated by that very system.

You're not going to prevent fascism by creating a big authoritarian monster to stomp it into silence, and even if you could you would only be stopping the fascism by becoming the fascism. To stop the rise of fascism you need to actually change. Drastically. Believing you can just make it go away without changing your situation is like believing you can avert an oncoming train by putting your hands over your eyes.

There is no valid argument against what I am saying here. Saying the powerful won't allow any positive change is just confirming everything I'm saying and confirming the need to remove the powerful from power. Saying that ending corruption, government secrecy and injustice would just be giving the terrorists what they want would be turning yourself into a bootlicker of such cartoonish obsequiousness there aren't words in the English language adequate to mock you.

Yes, change is desperately needed. Yes, the powerful will resist that change with everything they have. But the alternative is letting them plunge the world into darkness and destruction. We're going to have to find a way to win this thing.
