Ron Paul: trek VS troepen terug uit Irak, minstens 1 miljoen Irakezen eisen dat

Vorige week vrijdag trokken zo'n 1 miljoen Irakezen in protest de straat op en eisten daar het vertrek van VS troepen (uit hun land). Dit nadat het parlement en de zittende regering de VS al had gevraagd te vertrekken, waarbij leiders van de demonstratie de VS en andere westerse landen waaronder Nederland) waarschuwden voor de consequenties als ze niet zouden vertrekken, hetzelfde werd herhaald door de Iraakse premier Adil Abdul-Mahdi echter Pompeo, de minister van BuZa in de VS, lachte de Iraakse premier uit in het gezicht.......

Volgens de psychopathische massamoordenaar Pompeo is de VS in Irak om IS (= ISIS) te verslaan en weigert botweg te vertrekken, ofwel schijt aan de democratie die de VS zo vaak vals predikt als het weer op illegaal oorlogspad is....... Irak is dus geen soeverein land meer, immers gezien ook deze zaak, maakt de VS de de dienst uit in dat land.......

Het is wel overduidelijk dat de VS nog steeds het plan heeft om het bewind van de Iraanse president Rohani omver te werpen, vandaar ook dat de VS sinds vorig jaar lente maar liefst 20.000 militairen extra heeft gezonden naar het Midden-Oosten,  (vanwege die oorlogsplannen is het van belang dat er een aanzienlijke VS legermacht achterblijft in Iran en Syrië...)..... Een uiterst smerige politiek daar Rohani tot de gematigde krachten behoort in Iran, met het steeds verder onder druk zetten van Iran door de VS, krijgen de islamitische leiders in dat land steeds meer macht..... Het was dan ook in het geheel niet in het belang van de Trump administratie dat gematigde krachten aan het bewind kwamen in dit sjiitische land..... De oorlogstrom moet blijven klinken, zoals de kassa's van de wapenindustrie, privé huurlegers en die van de geheime diensten moeten blijven 'rinkelen.........'

Totaal belachelijk dat de reguliere westerse media zo weinig aandacht aan deze zaak schenken, terwijl men daar intussen een groot deel van de versufte aandacht gebruikt voor het impeachment proces in de VS dat tot niets zal leiden, immers de Republikeinen hebben de meerderheid in de senaat, die gaan echt niet voor het vertrek van Trump stemmen, al helemaal niet in een verkiezingsjaar!!!

In feite heeft de VS het Iraakse parlement buiten spel gezet en de rest van het westen vindt het wel best.... (ook Nederland trekt haar troepen niet terug uit Irak en steekt haar neus verder in het wespennest door een fregat naar de Straat van Hormuz te sturen, zogenaamd een Frans initiatief, maar reken gerust als er stront aan de knikker komt, Nederland meedoet aan de zoveelste illegale oorlog van de VS.......

Ron Paul stelt volkomen terecht in zijn schrijven dat je hieronder vindt en dat werd gepubliceerd op Money and Markets, dat er geluisterd moet worden naar een miljoen demonstranten en dat de troepen naar huis moeten. Voorts wijst hij op het feit dat een VS generaal heeft gesteld dat momenteel de sjiitische milities gevaarlijker zijn voor de VS dan IS..... Daar zou ik aan toe willen voegen dat de VS in het verleden IS meerdere keren heeft geholpen aan wapens, munitie (inclusief 'schouderraketten') en rollend oorlogstuig.......

2020, hoe is het in godsnaam allemaal mogelik, terwijl ook 'ons' kabinet weet hoe de VS keer op keer de boel belazert, alleen om maar oorlog te kunnen blijven voeren??!!! (ach ja, ook Rutte 3 zit vol met lobbyisten voor: -het militair-industrieel complex, -de VS buitenlandpoltiek (terreur), -de NAVO (terreur) en -de oliemaatschappijen (ook die hebben belang bij oorlogsvoering, immers daarmee worden de prijzen opgedreven.....)....

You wouldn’t know it from U.S. mainstream media reporting, but on Friday an estimated million Iraqis took to the streets to protest the continued U.S. military presence in their country. What little mainstream media coverage the protest received all reported the number of protesters as far less than actually turned out. The Beltway elites are determined that Americans not know or understand just how much our presence in Iraq is not wanted.

The protesters were largely supporters of nationalist Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, who opposes both U.S. and Iranian presence in Iraq. Protesters held signs demanding that the U.S. military leave Iraq and protest leaders warned of consequences unless the U.S. listen to the Iraqi people.

After President (Donald) Trump’s illegal and foolish assassination of Iranian general Soleimani on Iraqi soil early this month, the Iraqi parliament voted unanimously to cancel the agreement under which the U.S. military remains in Iraq. But when the Iraqi prime minister called up Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to request a timetable for a U.S. withdrawal, Pompeo laughed in his face.

The U.S. government answered the Iraqi parliament’s vote with a statement that the U.S. military is a “force for good” in the Middle East and that because of the continuing fight against ISIS U.S. troops will remain, even where they are not wanted.

How many billions of dollars have we sent to Iraq to help them build their democracy? Yet as soon as a decision of Iraq’s elected parliament goes against Washington’s wishes, the U.S. government is no longer so interested in democracy. Do they think the Iraqis don’t notice this double-dealing?

The pressure for the U.S. to leave Iraq has been building within the country, but the U.S. government and mainstream media is completely — and dangerously — ignoring this sentiment. It’s one thing to push the neocon propaganda that Iraqis and Iranians would be celebrating in the streets after last month’s U.S. assassination of Iranian general Soleimani, who was the chief strategist for the anti-ISIS operation over the past five years. It’s a completely different thing to believe the propaganda, especially as more than a million Iranians mourned the popular military leader.

The Friday protesters demanded that all U.S. bases in Iraq be closed, all security agreements with the U.S. and with U.S. security companies be ended, and a schedule for the exit of all U.S. forces be announced. Sadr announced that the resistance to the U.S. troop presence in Iraq will halt temporarily if an orderly departure is announced and implemented. Otherwise, he said, the resistance to U.S. troops would be activated.

A million Iraqi protesters chanted “no, no to occupation.” The Iraqi parliament voted for us to leave. The Iraqi prime minister asked us to leave. Maj. Gen. Alex Grynkewich, the U.S. deputy commander in Iraq and Syria, said last week that US.. troops in Iraq are more threatened by Shi’ite militias than ISIS.

So, before more U.S. troops die for nothing in Iraq, why don’t we listen to the Iraqi people and just come home? Let the people of the Middle East solve their own problems and let’s solve our problems at home.

Soleimani moord: VS pleegde een daad van oorlog

De moord op Qassem Soleimani is een daad van oorlog, aldus Philip Giraldi, waar ik aan toe zou willen voegen, dat het ronduit een oorlogsverklaring is aan het Iraanse bewind en het Iraanse volk...... De VS probeert al jaren een opstand te ontketenen in Iran, NB toegegeven door de VS, dat vorig jaar liet weten dat de CIA inderdaad al jaren werkzaam is in Iran en daar probeert een opstand te organiseren, terwijl de door de CIA georganiseerde gewelddadige demonstraties* daar, 'helaas' voor de VS, snel doodbloeden....

Na het voorgaande is de hoofdleidraad nu een stok te zoeken om de 'Iraanse hond' te slaan.... Hoewel 'nu?' De VS zoekt al sinds dat Trump aan het bewind is een reden om Iran aan te vallen, niet in de laatste plaats omdat Israël dat wenst.....

De negatieve reacties n.a.v. de moord op Soleimani heeft de Trump administratie verrast, ook al hebben een aantal hielenlikkende westerse staten, waaronder Nederland, deze oorlogsverklaring gesteund..... De verrassing was zo groot dat de VS niets heeft ondernomen nadat Iran 2 VS bases in Irak heeft aangevallen met raketten....

In eerste instantie stelde de VS dat Soleimani aanslagen voorbereidde op VS doelen en dat men hem daarom heeft vermoord, uiteraard lulkoek, immers met de dood van Soleimani zou een dergelijke militaire operatie niet zijn gestopt, integendeel men zou die waarschijnlijk onmiddellijk hebben uitgevoerd..... 

Het voorgaande terwijl Iran voor haar wraakactie n.a.v. de moord op Soleimani, de Iraakse overheid van tevoren waarschuwde een raketaanval uit te zullen voeren op 2 militaire bases van de VS, waar uiteraard ook Irakezen werken..... (daarmee werd ook het militaire apparaat van de VS in Irak gewaarschuwd)

Een paar dagen na de moord op Soleimani stelde de VS dat deze een aanval wilde plegen op de VS ambassade in Bagdad, dit werd een paar uur later vervolgd met de mededeling dat Soleimani ook andere westerse ambassades in Bagdad wilde aanvallen..... Tja als je hulp wilt van je partners in oorlogsmisdaden, ofwel de andere NAVO-lidstaten, vertel je simpelweg dat men ook de ambassades van deze lidstaten wilde aanvallen, zeker nadat een aantal van die staten kritiek hadden op de moord die de VS op Soleimani pleegde (en nee, tot die staten behoort Nederland niet, de hielenlikkers hier durfden te stellen dat het een goede zaak was dat Soleimani werd vermoord, ook al was hij één van de grote strategen die IS enorme klappen toebracht, zelfs al voor de VS daadwerkelijk iets deed tegen IS, anders dan wapens, munitie en rollend oorlogstuig leveren aan deze terreurgroep.....).....

Het neerhalen van vlucht PS752 was een enorme blunder van het Iraanse bewind, al zijn er nu redenen om aan te nemen dat de luchtverdediging van Iran werd gestoord tijdens het opstijgen van deze rampvlucht. Voorts moet niet vergeten worden dat het neerhalen van dit vliegtuig een aantal uren gebeurde nadat Iran 2 VS bases in Irak met raketten heeft bestookt, ofwel de luchtverdediging was in opperste staat van paraatheid en de kans op ongelukken is op dat moment bepaald niet ondenkbaar....... Gelukkig heeft Iran toegegeven het vliegtuig te hebben neergehaald.....

Daarover gesproken: de VS had in 1988 heel wat meer moeite met toegeven dat het een Iraans passagiersvliegtuig met 290 inzittenden uit de lucht had geschoten, t.w. vlucht IA655, zogenaamd per ongeluk, terwijl onderzoeken later uitwezen dat de VS wel degelijk wist dat het een passagiersvliegtuig betrof......

Het artikel hieronder, zoals gezegd geschreven door Giraldi, verscheen eerder op Strategic Culture (CS) en werd door mij overgenomen van Anti-Media. Giraldi gaat vooral in op de illegaliteit van de moord op Soleimani (al is een moord uiteraard altijd illegaal, denkt de VS het recht te hebben mensen te kunnen vermoorden zonder enige rechterlijk proces, neem ook de drone aanvallen van de VS, waarbij meer dan 90% van de doden niet eens werd verdacht...). Voorts stelt Giraldi volkomen terecht dat de tactiek van Trump, het vermoorden van leidende figuren als Soleimani, zich wel eens als een boemerang kan keren tegen de VS, ofwel dat men VS burgers, politici en militairen als doelwit zal nemen en dat in veel grotere getale dan tot nu toe ooit vertoond.......  

Lees het artikel en geeft het door, zeker daar met de zoveelste terreurdaad van de VS de de boel in het Midden-Oosten nog verder heeft gedestabiliseerd dan je voor mogelijk had gehouden (behalve dan natuurlijk het eventueel beginnen van een volledige oorlog door de VS tegen Iran)..... De VS, de terreurentiteit die het Midden-Oosten al in vuur en vlam heeft gezet en daarbij vanaf 2001 fors meer dan 2,5 miljoen mensen heeft vermoord, dan wel daar de hoofdverantwoordelijke voor is, waar wij lullig genoeg ook een steen aan bij hebben gedragen (overigens bij die > 2,5 miljoen moorden, worden ook de slachtoffers van het agressieve VS buitenlandbeleid in Afghanistan, Libië en Pakistan gerekend):

(SC Op-Ed) — Once upon a time there was a Constitution of the United States. In Article II, Section 2 it stipulated that only the U.S. Congress has the power to declare war, which means the American president has to go to the legislative body and make a case for going to war against an enemy or enemies. If there is a vote in favor of war, the president is empowered as commander-in-chief to direct the available resources against the enemy.

There is also something called international law. Under international law there are situations in which a head of state or head of government can use military force defensively or even preemptively if there is a substantial threat that is imminent. But normally, a country has to go through a procedure similar to that in the U.S. Constitution, which means making a case that the war is justified before declaring war. The Nuremberg Tribunals ruled that starting a war of aggression is the ultimate crime.

The president has already declared that he needs no approval from Congress or from anyone else to initiate further military operations against Iran in the Middle East, even if the action taken is “disproportionate.” Meanwhile he, the State Department and the Pentagon are all stating, without presenting any evidence at all to the public, that Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani was planning attacks that would kill “hundreds of Americans” as a casus belli justifying his assassination. The White House is also asserting that the killing was done to “stop a war,” which makes no sense even coming from the addled tweet-conditioned brain of Donald J. Trump. And if one still harbors suspicions that Trump might actually be of sound mind, it is possible to listen to him on the day after the assassination while speaking to a gathering of his supporters at an evangelical church in Florida. He told the cheering crowd that “God is on our side” and that Soleimani “…was planning a very major attack, and we got him.” The audience went wild in approval, chanting “four more years.”

Such chest beating moments of pretend strong leadership coming from president bone spurs as well as similar justifications for an assassination that will be surfacing over the next few days simply do not pass the smell test. Take the window dressing away from the Pentagon and media propaganda and all one has left is that the United States illegally and openly killed a senior official from a country with which it is not at war and did so without the consent of the third country where the assassination took place with which the U.S. is also not at war. The assassination was not in reality based on any imminent threat and is therefore illegal under international law and is undeniably an unconstitutional act of war directed against both Iran and Iraq.

What is particularly bizarre about Trump-think on this issue is that the assassination was carried out right in the open in a country with which the United States has had of late a friendly relationship and which allows American soldiers to be based on its soil. Judging from the crowds of protesters gathered in Baghdad to protest the killing, that somewhat comfortable arrangement is about to end. And it will also end American involvement in neighboring Syria, which will be unsustainable without a presence in Iraq. That is the only good news to come out of the assassination.

To be sure nations at war will try and sometimes succeed to assassinate enemy leaders, and the intelligence services of various countries also have been known to kill foreign politicians who are considered to be threatening. America’s best friend Israel leads the world in that statistic. But spy agencies work their mischief on a basis of plausible denial, which means that the countries that carry out assassinations make every effort to obscure their role and permit deniability.

The difference in what the White House has done now is that another page has been turned in the process of the United States going completely rogue. It all started when George W. Bush warned that “you’re either with us or against us.” Barack Obama subsequently labored over his Tuesday morning kill lists, which included American citizens, and the Trump White House has now expanded that license, asserting that it can act with complete impunity and out in the open to kill anyone at any time anywhere without due process or any actual demonstrated cause or accountability.

Donald Trump should be aware that there is considerable downside to the tiger than he has let out of its cage. What will he do if “enemies” all over the world decide to copy the Trump example and kill American diplomats, soldiers and tourists because they oppose U.S. policies. And what about if they up the ante a little bit and kill senior Ambassadors, Congressmen, and even succeed in killing a presidential cabinet member or two. Trump in his foolishness has invited reciprocity and has even granted those who do the killing a certain immunity if they are claiming that they are doing it to stop something worse, i.e. war.

Finally, if the target of the assassination had been anyone but an Iranian, Israel’s enemy, one can count on there being hell to pay with Congress and the media over Trump’s having gone completely off the rails. Assassinating a foreign leader as a new United States government policy has to be an impeachable offense. Forget about obstruction of justice and collusion with foreigners: assassination is the real deal and if it does not constitute a high crime, it is hard for one to imagine what does. By all means let’s impeach Trump based on what he has actually done, not on speculation over what he might have connived at.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has repeatedly justified the U.S. “extreme pressure” directed against Tehran, demanding that Islamic Republic take steps to become a “normal country.” The real question should be, “When will the United States of America become normal?”

Nieuwe Russische hack samenzweringstheorie t.a.v. Joe Biden 'schokt' VS Democraten

Joe Biden en zijn zoon Hunter hebben een smerig spel gespeeld met het Oekraïense bedrijf Burisma, waar Hunter Biden een godsvermogen verdiende en zich schuldig maakte aan corruptie en witwassen....... Joe Biden heeft dit NB zelf toegegeven daar hij de Oekraïense regering liet weten dat het een openbaar aanklager moest ontslaan, daar men anders een miljard aan wapensteun van de VS kon vergeten..... En waarom deed Biden dit? Juist, omdat die openbaar aanklager zijn zoon vervolgde voor corruptie en witwassen... Met andere woorden: als er niets aan de hand was geweest had een dergelijk onderzoek immers niets opgeleverd, dus waarom een land dan onder druk zetten?? 

In de VS is nu een nieuwe samenzweringstheorie gelanceerd waarbij de Russische geheime dienst GROe de schuld in de schoenen geschoven krijgt voor het besmeuren van Democratisch presidentskandidaat Joe Biden (en zijn zoon Hunter) en hen beschuldigt van corruptie en witwassen, dit zou zijn gebeurd na een 'phishing aanval' van de Russen op Burisma, de firma waar topgraaier Biden zich zoals gezegd schuldig maakte aan corruptie en witwassen...... Zoals je kon lezen, is Hunter Biden wel degelijk een corrupte misdadiger.....

Een herhaling van zetten in 2016, toen Hillary Clinton geheel misdadig de Democratische voorverkiezingen won ten koste van Bernie Sanders.... Toen e.e.a. op straat belandde doordat Seth Rich*, een lid van Clintons campagne team, goed pissig was over het gedrag van Clinton en alles in de openbaarheid gooide, leidde dit tot de belachelijke claim dat de Russen de servers van het campagne team hadden gehackt en de boel naar de pers hadden gelekt...... Clinton ging vrijuit en als een waanzinnige gingen de reguliere westerse media in de Koude Oorlog modus met hun belachelijke beschuldigingen aan het adres van Rusland...... Nog steeds houden deze media en de meeste westerse politici de leugen vol dat Rusland de verkiezingen in de VS manipuleerde ten gunste van Trump....

Niet een flinter aan bewijs voor deze claim, hetzelfde geldt voor de claim dat Rusland de boel op scherp zou hebben gezet, maar er is wel bewijs voor Bidens misdadig gedrag en ondanks dat dit duidelijk is, wordt deze nu vrijgepleit van corruptie en witwasserij, daar deze claim 'weer' een streek van de Russische staat zou zijn..... Uiteraard springen dezelfde westerse reguliere media hier weer bovenop, immers als men Rusland kan besmeuren staat men kwijlend vooraan......

The story itself fails the smell test on a number of fronts. It falsely claims that allegations of Biden's corrupt dealings with Ukrainian officials as vice president have been "discredited", and its only named source is a cybersecurity firm with foundational ties to the NSA and to Crowdstrike, which you may remember as the extremely shady Atlantic Council-tied company at the heart of the plot hole-riddled 2016 Russia hacking narrative (whose founder is now a billionaire).

The article also of course lacks any hard evidence for its claims, and is of course completely silent on any details as to how the security firm knows that the alleged hackers were both (A) Russian and (B) tied to the Russian government. This is par for course with mass media news reporting on anything negative about Russia, where all journalistic standards have gone out the window and nobody suffers any professional consequences for even the most egregious misreporting on that nation.

And, naturally, liberal pundits are guzzling it down like Mike Pompeo left alone at the table with the gravy boat.

I don't know if you've ever seen a man trying to run with an erection, but FYI** it's the most ridiculous-looking thing you can possibly ever witness. And the mad scramble of conservative Democrats to say something viral about this new angle on an entirely exhausted theme puts one in the mind of a whole platoon of men running completely tumescent at full sprint.

It is very revealing that the head of a major mainstream publication believes news outlets should sit on a story exposing the corruption of a leading presidential candidate--no matter how newsworthy--if it's believed to have come from "the Russians". How many major stories are being spiked for no other reason than a loyalty to the US government's geopolitical agendas against noncompliant nations, exactly?

Yet sentiments identical to Shachtman's are currently being bleated by like-minded pundits throughout the Twitterverse right now.

"Me and Oliver Darcy took at look at this a year ago... newsrooms hadn’t a lot to say about it. Not a lot of self-reflection, it seems," tweeted CNN's Donie O'Sullivan in response to Shachtman's post. "Hackers could target the 2020 election. How will newsrooms respond if they release stolen data?"

"Russians working hard for President Trump's reelection: mainstream media do not need to collaborate with the Russians again and breathlessly promote their non-newsworthy findings, as they did in 2016," economist David Rothschild tweeted, without specifying his peculiar definition of "non-newsworthy".

"Will the media run info from national security hacks as blockbuster stories like in 2016? That's the million-dollar question," tweeted Michigan Advance editor-in-chief Susan Demas.

A CNN reporter took it up even further, preemptively speculating based on literally nothing that any evidence of Biden's corruption which emerges from the phishing campaign will have been "doctored" by Russia.

"Russia could leak Burisma emails, and slip in some doctored emails, to harm Biden later on, if he is the Democratic nominee," tweeted CNN's Marshall Cohen. "The 2016 playbook all over again."

This insanity was seconded and then ratcheted up even further by MSNBC’s Malcolm Nance, whose main job seems to be to push the Overton window of Russia hysteria toward the craziest end of the spectrum.

“DNC 2.0,” Nance wrote. “To protect Trump the GRU will manufacture and insert Black propaganda, fake emails in a data base Burisma emails to implicate Biden and support Trump. They don’t care if you believe it … it’s all to get Trump to believe it. He’ll destroy America to win.”

MSNBC analyst and former Obama administration official Richard Stengel, who has openly stated that he endorses the US government propagandizing its citizens, seized on the opportunity offered by this lawless feeding frenzy to advance a completely baseless Russiagate theory, because why the hell not?

"'Russia, if you're listening, hack Burisma.' GRU has done same thing to this Ukrainian firm that they did to DNC," tweeted Stengel. "If Trump asked Zelensky on a public call to investigate the Bidens, what do you suppose he asked Putin on a private call? Vlad, do me a favor."

There is at this time no legitimate reason to believe that the GRU was involved in any kind of cyberattack on Burisma, let alone that it found anything worth publishing. At the moment the only information we've gleaned from this incident is more insight into the fact that the news media environment of the most powerful nation on earth is deeply, profoundly unhealthy, and so are the individuals operating within it.

These are the people who shape the dominant narrative. These are the thought leaders, who really do lead the way a very large sector of the population thinks. We need to bring more consciousness to how wildly dysfunctional this is.

2020 has been wild already. And all signs indicate that it's only going to get a whole lot crazier.
