VS wil op militaire manier 'het gevaar China' neutraliseren

De VS is sinds het aantreden van Trump bezig met het demoniseren van China, neem de handelsoorlog met alle haat- en angstzaaierij respectievelijk tegen en voor China, een demonisering van China die Trump al heeft gebruikt voordat het Coronavirus in beeld kwam..... Doordat Trump onder vuur kwam te liggen vanwege de totaal onverantwoorde omgang met het virus, heeft deze zijn pijlen weer gericht op China, waarbij hij de uitbraak van het Coronavirus NB heeft aangewezen als de grootste aanval op de VS ooit..... Ofwel in feite zegt Trump dat China de VS heeft aangevallen......  

Bij het voorgaande was Trump 'even vergeten' dat de witte Europeanen, van wie ook hij een nazaat is, een genocide hebben uitgevoerd op de oorspronkelijke volkeren van de VS, gepaard gaand met een ongelofelijk aantal doden, waarbij het aantal Coronadoden in de VS niet eens in de schaduw kan staan..... Zo kwamen de witte terroristen uit Europa, niet zelden streng gelovig, 'in het bezit' van de VS, een land dat zij over de lijken van de oorspronkelijke bewoners hebben gestolen.......... Over de grootste aanval ooit gesproken, op wat nu de VS wordt genoemd......

Niet alleen Trump maar ook de militaire top, die door Trump aanzienlijk aan macht heeft gewonnen, maakt zich druk om 'het gevaar China......'* (macht: zo kan het Pentagon naar eigen inzicht militairen toevoegen aan de militairen in landen waartegen de VS illegaal oorlog voert....) Admiraal Philip Davidson eist 20 miljard van de Trump administratie om een cordon met o.a. schepen en raketbases te leggen en zo illegaal de bewegingsvrijheid van de Chinese marine in te perken.... Een cordon dat loopt van Californië tot Japan en die verder gaat tot alle landen en steden die grenzen aan de Grote Oceaan (exclusief China zoals je begrijpt), ofwel de VS wil de hele Grote of Stille Oceaan tot haar achtertuin maken (of beter gezegd: weer tot haar achtertuin maken) en daarmee China terugwerpen op de eigen territoriale wateren....... In feite is dit bijna een oorlogsverklaring, al wordt deze gedaan door een hoge marine officier en niet door Trump, het is dan ook de vraag hoe lang het zal duren voor deze zijn mond of smartphone (Twitter) zal gebruiken om hetzelfde te zeggen...... (neem hierbij zijn woorden nog eens in gedachte over de grootste aanval op de VS ooit.....)

China zou een voordeel op raketgebied hebben t.o.v. de VS**, vandaar dat Trump zich vorig jaar terugtrok uit het INF-verdrag voor middellangeafstandsraketten, zogenaamd daar Rusland zich daar niet aan zou houden (bewezen lulkoek), echter de 'werkelijke reden' was een door het Pentagon opgeklopte angst voor Chinese raketten...... Echter ook dat is m.i. een excuus om deze raketten zelf weer te kunnen gebruiken, wat wel bleek uit het feit dat de VS in augustus 2019 al een test deed met een dergelijke raket..... (het ontwikkelen van een dergelijke raket doe je niet in een paar maanden tijd, kortom de VS was al lang bezig met de illegale ontwikkeling van middellangeafstandsraketten.......

Bovendien heeft de VS een raketschild geïnstalleerd in Polen en Roemenië, zogenaamd tegen inkomende raketten uit Iran, de raketten van dit schild vallen in feite onder het INF-verdrag, maar omdat ze geen kernkoppen hebben, vallen ze er buiten, echter hier zit een hele dikke adder onder het gras: de raketten kunnen in een mum van tijd worden voorzien van meerdere kernkoppen en kunnen dan ingezet worden tegen Rusland en dan vallen deze raketten wel degelijk onder het INF-verdrag....... (en daarmee heeft Rusland kernraketten van de VS op de 'voordeurmat...')

Admiraal Davidson wilde al in 2018 kernraketten in alle met de VS bevriende landen plaatsen, zodat China van meerdere kanten in feite zou worden ingesloten door kernraketten van de grootste terreurentiteit op aarde, de VS.... Daarnaast heeft de VS al veel bases in de buurt van China, vergeet niet dat dit Noord-Amerikaanse land meer dan 800 militaire bases heeft over een fiks deel van de wereld.........

De 'angst voor China' is een duidelijk motief om dat land verder te isoleren, militair kan China niet tippen aan de VS, ondertussen draait de wapenindustrie in de VS weer op volle toeren.......

The U.S. Military is Hell-Bent on Trying to Overpower China

On April 1, Admiral Philip Davidson—the head of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command—told the U.S. Congress that he would like $20 billion to create a robust military cordon that runs from California to Japan and down the Pacific Rim of Asia. His proposal—titled “Regain the Advantage”—pointed to the “renewed threat we face from Great Power Competition. … Without a valid and convincing conventional deterrent, China and Russia will be emboldened to take action in the region to supplant U.S. interests.”
The real focus is China. In January 2019, Acting U.S. Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan told U.S. military officials that the problem is “China, China, China.” This has been the key focus of all U.S. President Donald Trump’s nominees for the Defense Department, whether it be Shanahan or the current chief Mark Esper. Esper cannot open his mouth without blaming China; he recently told the Italian paper La Stampa that China is using the coronavirus emergency to push its advantage through “malign” forces such as Huawei and by sending aid to Italy. As far as Trump and Esper are concerned, China and—to a lesser extent—Russia are to be contained by the United States with armed force.

The Missile Gap?

Senator Tom Cotton (Republican from Arkansas) has pushed the view that China’s military modernization program has created a missile gap in China’s favor. In March 2018, Cotton asked Admiral Harry Harris, commander of the U.S. Pacific Command (now U.S. ambassador to South Korea) about China’s missiles. “We are at a disadvantage with regard to China today in the sense that China has ground-based ballistic missiles that threaten our basing in the western Pacific and our ships,” Harris told Congress. To remedy this, Harris suggested that the United States exit from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), which Trump did in early 2019 (Trump blamed Russian non-compliance, but it was clear that the real target was this fear of a Chinese missile advantage). In August 2019, the U.S. tested an intermediate-range missile, signaling that its intentions long preceded its withdrawal from the INF.

In March 2019, Cotton went to the Heritage Foundation to say that the United States should start production of medium-range ballistic missiles, which should be deployed on bases at the U.S. territory of Guam and on the territories of U.S. allies; these missiles should directly threaten China. “Beijing has stockpiled thousands of missiles that can target our allies, our bases, our ships, and our citizens throughout the Pacific,” Cotton said in characteristic hyperbole. Exaggeration is central to people like Cotton; for them, fear-mongering is the way to produce policy, and facts are inconvenient.

The United States has used the concept of the “missile gap” before. John F. Kennedy used it for his 1958 presidential campaign, even though it is likely he knew that it was false to say that the USSR had more missiles than the United States. Little has changed since then.

In November 2018, before the U.S. left the INF, Admiral Davidson spoke at a think tank in Washington on “China’s Power.” In 2015, Davidson said, his predecessor Harry Harris had joked that the islands off the coast of the People’s Republic of China were a “Great Wall of Sand”; now, said Davidson, these had become a “Great Wall of SAMs,” referring to Surface-to-Air Missiles. Davidson, from the military side, and Cotton, from the civilian side, began to say over and over again that China had a military advantage by the “missile gap,” a concept that required no careful investigation.

The United States has the largest military force in the world. In April, the Stockholm 
International Peace Research Institute found that the United States military budget rose by 5.3 percent over the previous year to total $732 billion; the increase over one year was by itself the entire military budget of Germany. China, meanwhile, spent $261 billion on its military, lifting its budget by 5.1 percent. The United States has 6,185 nuclear warheads, while China has 290 nuclear warheads. Only five countries in the world have missiles that can strike any country on the earth: the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and France. Whether it be in terms of intercontinental weapons or through U.S. air power, there is no doubt that China simply does not possess a military advantage over the United States.

Every known inventory of weapons shows that the United States has a much greater capacity to wreak havoc in a military confrontation against anyone—including China; but the U.S. now understands that while it can bomb a country to smithereens, it can no longer subordinate all countries.

Withdrawal

The United States Navy is both overstretched and threatened. The two U.S. Pacific-based carriers—USS Ronald Reagan and USS Theodore Roosevelt—are in trouble; USS Reagan is in Japan, where it is being repaired, while USS Roosevelt is in Guam, with its crew devastated by COVID-19. Meanwhile, the U.S. has sent an aircraft carrier group to threaten Venezuela using the excuse of counter-narcotics. Threatening several countries far apart from each other makes it difficult for the U.S. to focus its superior military power against any one country.

Missile capacities shown by Iran and by China have meant that the U.S. continuous bomber presence at al-Udeid Air Base (Qatar) and at Andersen Air Force Base (Guam) has been withdrawn. These bombers are now at Minot Air Force Base (North Dakota) and Barksdale Air Force Base (Louisiana). General Timothy Ray of the U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command put a brave face on these withdrawals, saying that it gives the U.S. greater flexibility. The real reason for the bombers leaving Qatar and Guam is that the U.S. military fears that these strategic assets are in harm’s way.

Neither Iran nor China has the capacity to defeat the U.S. in a military confrontation. But alongside both of their borders, Iran and China have the capacity to strike U.S. targets and U.S. allies. This capacity hampers the U.S. ability to establish the complete subordination of these countries. It is this local power developed by China and Iran that the United States wants to extinguish.

Regain the Advantage

Admiral Davidson’s April report calls for “Forward-based, rotational joint forces” as the “most credible way to demonstrate U.S. commitment and resolve to potential adversaries.” What the Indo-Pacific Command means is that rather than have a fixed base that is vulnerable to attack, the U.S. will fly its bombers into bases on the soil of its allies in the Indo-Pacific network (Australia, India, and Japan) as well as others in the region (South Korea, for instance); the bombers, he suggests, will be better protected there. China will still be threatened, but Chinese missiles will—so the theory goes—find it more difficult to threaten mobile U.S. assets.

Davidson’s report has a stunning science-fiction quality to it. There is a desire for the creation of “highly survivable, precision-strike networks” that run along the Pacific Rim, including missiles of various kinds and radars in Palau, Hawaii, and in space. He asks for vast amounts of money to develop a military that is already very powerful.

Furthermore, the U.S. is committed to the development of anti-space weapons, autonomous weapons, glide vehicles, hypersonic missiles, and offensive cyber weapons—all meant to destabilize missile defense techniques and to overpower any adversary. Such developments presage a new arms race that will be very expensive and that will further destabilize the world order.

The United States has unilaterally increased a buildup around China and has ramped up threatening rhetoric against Beijing. Anxiety about a possible war against China imposed by the United States is growing within China; although sober voices are asking the Chinese government not to get drawn into an arms race with the United States. Nonetheless, the threats are credible, and the desire to build some form of deterrence is growing.

The absence of a strong world peace movement with the capacity to prevent this buildup by the United States is of considerable concern for the planet. The need for such a movement could not be greater.

Japan op punt om 1,2 miljoen ton radioactief besmet water van Fukushima in de oceaan te lozen

Ongelofelijk maar alweer waar: Tepco, de Japanse eigenaar van de Fukushima kerncentrale, wil toestemming van de Japanse overheid om 1,2 miljoen ton radioactief besmet water in zee te lozen (ter verduidelijking: een ton is duizend liter en dat 1,2 miljoen maal.....)..... De centrale kampt met capaciteitsproblemen, er staan intussen duizend grote tanks op het terrein, die bijna allemaal zijn gevuld met radioactief besmet water.......

Eén en ander geeft nog eens aan dat minstens 1 van de beschadigde reactoren nog steeds niet onder controle is, immers de tanks moeten leeg voor de volgende miljoenen liters radioactief besmet water...... Dan te bedenken dat de Japanse regering bezig is om mensen die bij het begin van deze enorme kernramp werden geëvacueerd, te herhuisvesten in het radioactief besmette gebied en zelfs in de buurt van de kerncentrale.......

Vergeet niet dat al een jaar of 7 geleden voor het eerst vissen met afwijkingen door radioactieve straling van deze kerncentrale, zelfs voor de kust van Californië werden gevangen....... De hoeveelheid radioactief besmet water die Tepco wil lozen is zo groot dat een ramp niet uitgesloten moet worden aldus deskundigen (trouwens daar behoef je niet deskundig voor te zijn), waar in de toekomst opnieuw lozingen van honderden miljoenen liters radioactiefbesmet water 'nodig zijn.....' (dat is niet nodig, gewoon op blijven slaan en daarbij proberen op een veilige manier het water te zuiveren, bijvoorbeeld door gecontroleerde verdamping, immers de schade die e.e.a. zal aanrichten in het zeeleven, is niet met een pen te beschrijven!!)

De afbraak van zo'n centrale is al helemaal niet in geld uit te drukken en te vrezen valt dat men deze centrales gewoon zal laten staan als ze totaal onveilig zijn, zoals de kerncentrale in Borssele en die in het Belgische Doel en Tihange dat nu eigenlijk al zijn....... Het probleem van radioactief afval opslag is nog steeds niet opgelost, waar het kabinet Rutte 2 dit probleem op de agenda van de Kamer gezet, niet voor over tien jaar, maar over 100 jaar...... De prijs voor gebieden die door een kernramp radioactief zijn geworden en daardoor niet meer gebruikt kunnen worden, is ook al niet in geld uit te drukken, zie Tsjernobyl en Fukushima (zoals gezegd: Japan herhuisvest schandalig genoeg bewoners die rond de laatst genoemde centrale woonden, terug in hun huis dat in radioactief besmet gebied staat....).... De Japanse autoriteiten zijn zo totaal geschift dat ze de Olympische Spelen deze zomer ook in de buurt van de Fukushima zal laten plaatsvinden.......

Japan Set To Release 1.2 Million Tons Of Radioactive Fukushima Water Into Ocean, Causing "Immeasurable Damage"

Just in case a global viral pandemic, whose sources are still unclear and apparently now include human feces, wasn't enough, the global outrage meter is about to go "up to eleven" with Japan now set to flood the world's oceans with radioactive water.

In a move that will surely prompt a furious response from Greta Thunberg's ghost writers (unless of course it doesn't fit a very narrow agenda), a panel of experts advising Japan’s government on a disposal method for the millions of tons of radioactive water from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear plant on Friday recommended releasing it into the ocean. And, as Reuters notes, based on past practice it is likely the government will accept the recommendation.

Tokyo Electric, or Tepco, has collected nearly 1.2 million tonnes of contaminated water from the cooling pipes used to keep fuel cores from melting since the plant was crippled by an earthquake and tsunami in 2011. The water is stored in huge tanks that crowd the site.

The panel under the industry ministry came to the conclusion after narrowing the choice to either releasing the contaminated water into the Pacific Ocean or letting it evaporate - and opted for the former, even though it means that Japan's neihgbors will now have to suffer the consequences of the biggest nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.

Previously the committee had ruled out other possibilities, such as underground storage, that lack track records of success. At the meeting, members stressed the importance of selecting proven methods and said "the government should make clear that releasing the water would have a significant social impact."

Japan's neighbor, South Korea, has for much of the past decade retained a ban on imports of seafood from Japan’s Fukushima region imposed after the nuclear disaster and summoned a senior Japanese embassy official last year to explain how the Fukushima water would be dealt with. They will soon have a very unsatisfactory answer.

The build-up of contaminated water at Fukushima has been a major sticking point in the clean-up, which is likely to last decades, especially as the Olympics are due to be held in Tokyo this summer with some events less than 60 km from the wrecked plant and the Fukushima seclusion zone which will remain uninhabitable for centuries. According to Reuters, athletes are planning to bring their own radiation detectors and food to the Games.

In 2018, the plant operator, TEPCO, apologized after admitting it lied about the cleanup efforts and that its filtration systems had not removed all dangerous material from the water - and the site was running out of room for storage tanks. Among the ludicrous proposals concocted to contain the radioactive water was an idea straight out of Game of Thrones - an underground ice wall. It did not work.

As a result, having given up on any containment approaches, Tokyo will now literally flood the world with radioactive water. Perhaps in an attempt to mitigate the angry outcry from a world that is suddenly obsessed with a clean environment, Japan said it plans to remove all radioactive particles from the water except tritium, an isotope of hydrogen that cannot be effectively removed with current technology. While it is unclear just how Japan plans on "filtering" out radiation, we with them the best of luck with that particular PR campaign.

“Compared to evaporation, ocean release can be done more securely,” the committee said, pointing to common practice around the world where normally operating nuclear stations release water that contains tritium into the sea.

Needless to say, even the locals disagree: releasing treated water into the ocean would do "immeasurable damage" to a fishing sector that has tried hard to get back to work, an industry source in the Fukushima Prefecture city of Iwaki said. The evaporation proposal has fueled similar worries in farming and ranching circles, according to a source in the rice-growing business.

"The central government should understand the situation on the ground" and thoroughly consider its response, the source said. Even so, it appears that despite "considereding the situation on the ground", the government is still set to go ahead with the discharge anyway.

Why? The reason may also be the simplest one - money. According to the Nikkei, discharging the water into the Pacific is generally seen by experts as the most logical option. Evaporation was successfully used for cleanup after the 1979 Three Mile Island disaster in the U.S. But releasing water into the sea would cost less and, by ministry estimates, cut radiation exposure by more than half compared with evaporation. Of course, this is the same ministry which for months lied about the full extent of the fallout caused by the Fukushima disaster. Surely this time they are telling the truth.

The recommendation needs to be confirmed by the head of the panel, Nagoya University Professor Emeritus Ichiro Yamamoto, and submitted to the government at a later date, which has not been set, but a hard deadline looms as the government is running out of time to make a decision. The roughly 1,000 tanks on the Fukushima Daiichi site held 1.18 million tons of water as of Dec. 12, not far from the total capacity of 1.37 million. Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. Holdings expects to run out of space around 2022.

Even before then, the most important task in decommissioning the plant - removing spent nuclear fuel - is set to begin in 2021 at reactor No. 2. The tanks take up space that will be needed for this work.

De bosbranden in Australië zullen hun weerslag op de hele wereld hebben

De klimaatverandering en zaken als luchtvervuiling 'trekken zich' niets aan van grenzen, zo schopt Tracey Keeling terecht een open deur in, met een artikel op The Canary. Niet moeilijk te bedenken dat de bosbranden in Australië* sinds september vorig jaar een enorme bak CO2 extra hebben toegevoegd aan de atmosfeer en dat dit de klimaatverandering verder aanjaagt...

Bovendien zullen de gebieden in Australië die door de brand grotendeels ontbost zijn meer zon opnemen, waar bomen de opname van warmte nog tegen konden houden, zoals je begrijpt zullen deze gebieden extra warmte opnemen en zal de warmteontwikkeling zorgen dat de temperatuur op aarde nog verder op zal lopen..... Daarnaast zullen deze gebieden hoogstwaarschijnlijk extra wind genereren, de oorzaak van het moeilijk onder controle krijgen van deze branden.....

Ondanks alle klimaattoppen, die zelf al een aanjager zijn van de klimaatverandering, stijgt de uitstoot van CO2 nog steeds, jaar op jaar wordt er meer CO2 uitgestoten, je behoeft dan ook geen professor te zijn om te concluderen dat met het grote aantal bosbranden dit jaar weer een fikse stijging te zien zal zijn van de CO2 uitstoot.....

Jammer dat Keeling niet schrijft over het feit dat de rook van deze bosbranden over de hele wereld trekt, zo liet men een dag of tien geleden al weten dat de rook zich inderdaad verspreidt over de hele aarde..... Als dit nog een paar maanden doorgaat en bedenk dat het bepaald niet Australië alleen is dat deels in brand staat (Australië waar de zomer nog maar net een maand gaande is), wordt de kans steeds groter dat we misoogsten over de hele wereld zullen gaan zien......

The terrifying fallout from the Australian fires that is about to hit the whole world

When it comes to the climate, our obsession with national borders is immaterial. The world has watched in horror as Australia has burned over the last five months. But the fires aren’t solely affecting those in their immediate and devastating path or, indeed, those choking on the smoke from them in near (or far) countries.

As the UK’s Met Office has recently pointed out, one terrifying fallout from the fires is coming to all of us this year. Because, on this shared planet, we really are all in this together.

A grim forecast

Australian wildfires will help push up carbon dioxide (CO2) levels in the atmosphere to new highs in 2020, the Met Office has said. It predicts 2020 will see one of the highest annual increases in CO2 levels since records began more than 60 years ago.

This year, levels of CO2 are set to rise by around 2.7 parts per million (ppm) compared to 2019, peaking at 417ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere in May. 2019 itself also saw a steep rise in CO2 by 3.5ppm in May compared to the previous year, with the overall level rising to 414.8ppm that month. May is generally the month of the year where CO2 levels reach their yearly peak; September/October is usually the lowest annual point.

The predicted average CO2 level for 2020 is 414ppm. Pre-industrial levels of CO2 were around 280ppm. Levels are set to remain above 410ppm throughout the year for the first time, according to the Met Office

The increasing levels of greenhouses gases like CO2 in our atmosphere push up the temperature of the planet. As NASA explained in a 2010 study:

carbon dioxide is responsible for 80 percent of the radiative forcing that sustains the Earth’s greenhouse [warming] effect.

Actions have consequences

Detailing the cause of the CO2 increase, the Met Office said:

While human-caused emissions cause the CO2 rise in concentration, impacts of weather patterns on global ecosystems are predicted to increase the rise by 10% this year.  Emissions from the recent Australian bushfires contribute up to one-fifth of this increase.

As the Met Office noted, human activities such as burning fossil fuels have been pushing up levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere every year. But around a tenth of the projected increase in 2020 is due to the impact of weather patterns. According to analysis in 2019 by Carbon Brief:

68% of all extreme weather events studied to date were made more likely or more severe by human-caused climate change. Heatwaves account for 43% such events, droughts make up 17% and heavy rainfall or floods account for 16%.

These weather patterns create conditions in which plants grow less and absorb less CO2. Weather patterns linked to swings in temperatures in the Pacific Ocean also affect the rise in carbon dioxide levels, because in years with a warmer tropical Pacific many regions become warmer and drier.

This will make blazes such as Australia’s devastating bush fires more likely.
As Professor Richard Betts, of the University of Exeter and the Met Office Hadley Centre, explained:

Although the series of annual levels of carbon dioxide have always seen a year-on-year increase since 1958, driven by fossil fuel burning and deforestation, the rate of rise isn’t perfectly even because there are fluctuations in the response of ecosystem carbon sinks, especially tropical forests.

Essentially, ecosystems have limited some of the potential temperature rise on our earth, by absorbing the CO2 we’ve put into the atmosphere. But human-induced warming and atmospheric disruption drive weather patterns that are damaging those ecosystems. That leaves nature in much less of a position to help us.

A downward spiral

In short, we’re heading nowhere good – and we’re hurtling towards that destination fast. Scientists say we must not exceed CO2 levels of 450ppm, which would set us on course for global warming of 2°C. Indeed, many argue we should not go beyond a temperature rise of 1.5°C. That is if we want to avoid catastrophe.

We’ve now seen a dramatic increase in CO2 levels for eight years running. The average temperature increase in 2019 reached 1.1°C. Yet we’re still destroying forests and gobbling up fossil fuels. We’re literally sprinting towards the apocalypse with open arms.

Stop het dumpen door Tepco van miljoenen tonnen radioactief besmet water in de Stille Oceaan

De Fukushima Daiichi nucleaire energiecentrale heeft sinds de tsunami van 11 maart 2011 miljoenen liters radioactief en chemisch vergiftigd water opgeslagen en wil dit in de Stille Oceaan dumpen......

Het zeeleven in de buurt van de centrale is al van een kwaliteit, waardoor consumptie van vis e.d. uit het gebied verboden zou moeten zijn, echter de fascistische regering in Tokio doet net of een groot gebied rond de centrale weer geheel veilig is, precies zoals Tepco, de eigenaar van de centrale, dat naar buiten brengt en dan spreek ik over het gebied op land en in zee....... Dit terwijl men nog steeds met de getroffen reactoren in de maag zit en er nog steeds radioactief en chemisch besmet water moet worden opgeslagen, waar trouwens ook nog steeds radioactief besmet water wegstroomt in de Stille Oceaan......

Al een paar jaar gelden werd er radioactief besmette vis gevangen voor de kust van Californië, waar onderzoek uitwees dat dit een besmetting was, die door de kernramp in Fukushima is veroorzaakt......

Nu wil het bedrijf dus dit zwaar vergiftigd water in de oceaan dumpen, terwijl de opslag was bedoeld om zo min mogelijk radioactief besmet water in zee te lozen of weg te laten lopen..... Wat een ijskoude, nietsontziende psychopaat moet je zijn om te bedenken dit water maar in zee weg te laten lopen.....

Vanmorgen op BNR het bericht dat Tepco, (nogmaals: de eigenaar van de kernreactoren in Fukushima), al voor de bouw een risicoanalyse heeft laten doen, de uitkomst daarvan was o.a. dat de centrale zou kunnen worden getroffen door een tsunami met golven van 15 meter hoog...... De golven van de tsunami die de kernramp in Fukushima veroorzaakte, waren nog hoger, maar zelfs de uitkomst van golven die tot 15 meter hoog over het terrein van de centrale zou kunnen rollen, zou reden geweest moeten zijn de centrales niet op die plek te bouwen...... (dit nog buiten het feit dat de centrale in een aardbevingsgevoelig gebied werd gebouwd, zoals meerdere kerncentrales in Japan >> ook dat is ronduit misdadig!!) Kortom men heeft willens en wetens met levens van mensen gespeeld en dat is niet anders dan een poging tot massamoord!

Bij de kernramp overleden niet direct mensen, maar in 2014 sprak Dr. Tsuda Toshihide, een epidemioloog over een epidemie van schildklierkanker onder mensen die rond de centrale woonden. In 2015 hadden in totaal 137 kinderen schildklierkanker opgelopen of vertoonden tekenen die daarop wezen, eind 2015 was dat aantal opgelopen tot 166....

Misschien denk je dat deze centrale zover van Nederland staat* dat wij ons er niet druk over hoeven te maken, echter onze aarde is van iedereen en is maar klein...... Zoals eerder gezegd: een paar jaar geleden werd radioactief besmette vis gevangen voor de VS kust van Californië.....

Save Pacific Ocean From Radioactive Water

A Japanese power plant intends to dump one million tons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean, endangering marine life and humans alike. Sign this petition to stop this environmentally destructive plan.

Goal: Stop Japan from dumping over a million tons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean.

The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant plans to dump eight years’ worth of radioactive water buildup into the Pacific Ocean. The 2011 tsunami caused a buildup of groundwater to seep into the plant’s reactor cores; while officials have done their best to decontaminate this water, certain chemicals cannot be removed so easily.

This plan is not only detrimental to the fishing industry, but to the environment. The water is still full of chemicals that could kill thousands of fish and other sealife. Fisheries have spent the past several years rebuilding and strengthening their industry, while a variety of sealife has been badly endangered due to other factors. Dumping this contaminated water into the Pacific could make the existing dangers worse.

We cannot let the Pacific Ocean be harmed by a flood of radioactive water. There must be a better way to further decontaminate the water, or to dispose of it. Sign this petition to protect the ocean from further contamination.

Your plans to dump tons of contaminated water into the Pacific Ocean are very dangerous. The Fukushima Daiichi currently houses eight years’ worth of radioactive water buildup, amounting to at least one third of the ocean itself. Despite many efforts to decontaminate the water, enough dangerous chemicals remain that could do serious damage to the ocean.

This move spells disaster for the fishing industry and the environment alike. The chemicals could kill thousands of species of fish in addition to other sealife. Additionally, the oceans have seen more than enough damage over the past decade due to pollution, overfishing, and other factors. Do not add to the danger by dumping this toxic water.

* Onbegrijpelijk dat Nederland en België de oude kerncentrales in Borssele, Tihange en Doel laten doordraaien, er is al een boek te vullen met alle 'ongelukken' die tot stopzetting van de centrales leidden..... Ongelukken (menselijke fouten en technische gebreken zoals scheurtjes in de reactorwand) waarbij grote hoeveelheden radioactieve stoom in de lucht werden geloosd en reken maar dat er ook daar radioactief water onbedoeld in het milieu is terechtgekomen..... Rond de centrale in Borssele is het doodstil, eventuele klokkenluiders zijn waarschijnlijk al met een trap onder de bips op straat beland....... Terwijl deze centrale zo oud is als die in Tihange en ongetwijfeld onderhevig is aan dezelfde 'kwalen', die hier gewoon beter onder de pet worden gehouden, zeker is dat ook de reactorwand van de centrale in Borssele scheurtjes vertoont (na een flutonderzoek weigerde men in Borssele verder te zoeken)....

Studie toont aan dat het Antarctica ijs onder de waterspiegel in hoog tempo smelt.......

The Guardian bracht afgelopen maandag het bericht dat onderzoek tussen 2010 en 2016 het bewijs heeft geleverd voor een sterke wegsmelting van het ijs van Antarctica, vooral onder de waterspiegel........

Hiermee worden eerdere schattingen over de wegsmelting van ijs op Antarctica naar de prullenbak verwezen. Bij de oude schattingen ging men uit van de twee grootste gletsjers op Antarctica en keek men zoals je al begrepen had naar het zichtbare wegsmelten van ijs.

Tot nu toe dacht men dat vooral het ijs aan de Noordpool veel sneller wegsmelt dan dat van Antarctica, met de nieuwe studie blijkt het juist andersom te zijn.........

Met dit onderzoek wordt tevens de noodzaak aangetoond dat maatregelen tegen de zeespiegelstijging vooral in de laag gelegen gebieden op aarde drastisch moeten worden vervroegd, zo niet zullen deze gebieden (vooral in de Stille Oceaan) snel onder water verdwijnen.........

De hoogste tijd ook dat men wetgeving gaat opstellen waarmee landen, die niets of te weinig doen om de opwarming nog enigszins te beperken, voor het Internationaal Strafhof kunnen worden gesleept. (vergeet niet dat er nu al een groot aantal mensen is omgekomen door de gevolgen van de klimaatverandering...) 

Je snapt al welk land als eerste voor de rechter zou moeten staan, inderdaad de VS!* Hetzelfde geldt overigens voor de leiding van oliemaatschappijen die al lang op de hoogte zijn van het feit dat de verbranding van fossiele brandstoffen de oorzaak is van de klimaatverandering...... Zo wist Shell dit al in de 80er jaren en Exxon zelfs al in de 70er jaren...... Exxon verzweeg dit voor het publiek en Shell heeft dit nog enige tijd als leerstof voor het voortgezet onderwijs aangeleverd, waarna men het begin 90er jaren schielijk op heeft geborgen in een voor de burger en journalistiek ontoegankelijk archief.......

Underwater melting of Antarctic ice far greater than thought, study finds

Hidden underwater melt-off in the Antarctic is doubling every 20 years and could soon overtake Greenland to become the biggest source of sea-level rise, according to the first complete underwater map of the world’s largest body of ice.

Warming waters have caused the base of ice near the ocean floor around the south pole to shrink by 1,463 square kilometres – an area the size of Greater London – between 2010 and 2016, according to the new study published in Nature Geoscience.

The research by the UK Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling at the University of Leeds suggests climate change is affecting the Antarctic more than previously believed and is likely to prompt global projections of sea-level rise to be revised upward.

Until recently, the Antarctic was seen as relatively stable. Viewed from above, the extent of land and sea ice in the far south has not changed as dramatically as in the far north.

But the new study found even a small increase in temperature has been enough to cause a loss of five metres every year from the bottom edge of the ice sheet, some of which is more than 2km underwater.

“What’s happening is that Antarctica is being melted away at its base. We can’t see it, because it’s happening below the sea surface,” said Professor Andrew Shepherd, one of the authors of the paper.

“The changes mean that very soon the sea-level contribution from Antarctica could outstrip that from Greenland.”

The study measures the Antarctic’s “grounding line” – the bottommost edge of the ice sheet across 16,000km of coastline. This is done by using elevation data from the European Space Agency’s CryoSat-2 and applying Archimedes’s principle of buoyancy, which relates the thickness of floating ice to the height of its surface.

The greatest declines were seen in west Antarctica. At eight of the ice sheet’s 65 biggest glaciers, the speed of retreat was more than five times the rate of deglaciation since the last ice age. Even in east Antarctica, where some scientists – and many climate deniers – had previously believed ice might be increasing based on surface area, glaciers were at best stable and at worst in retreat when underwater ice was taken into account.

“It should give people more cause for concern,” said Shepherd. “Now that we have mapped the whole edge of the ice sheet, it rules out any chance that parts of Antarctica are advancing. We see retreat in more places and stasis elsewhere. The net effect is that the ice sheet overall is retreating. People can’t say ‘you’ve left a stone unturned’. We’ve looked everywhere now.”

The results could prompt an upward revision of sea-level rise projections. 10 years ago, the main driver was Greenland. More recently, the Antarctic’s estimated contribution has been raised by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). But its forecasts were based on measurements from the two main west Antarctic glaciers – Thwaites and Pine Island – a sample that provides an overly narrow and conservative view of what is happening when compared with the new research.

The study’s lead author, Hannes Konrad, said there was now clear evidence that the underwater glacial retreat is happening across the ice sheet.

This retreat has had a huge impact on inland glaciers,” he said, “because releasing them from the sea bed removes friction, causing them to speed up and contribute to global sea level rise.”

Palestijnen en Israël: VS chanteert arme landen voor steun in de VN............

Meerdere arme staten in de zuidelijke Stille Oceaan (of Oceanië) worden door de VS gechanteerd, dit om hun stem te krijgen in de VN als het bijvoorbeeld om Israël gaat. Zo liet het 666 beest Trump weten, dat wanneer een land zich in de VN (en daarbuiten) tegen de VS beslissing keert, om Jeruzalem te erkennen als de hoofdstad van Israël, verdere financiële hulp van de VS vergeten kan worden...... Daar is maar één woord voor te bedenken: chantage!

Zoals je natuurlijk weet, is chantage een strafbaar feit, maar daar heeft Trump schijt aan, hij stelt zich immers onder en boven de (internationale) wet......... (zoals alle presidenten voor hem....)

De eilandstaatjes die zich laten chanteren zijn staten die in de toekomst vanwege de zeespiegelstijging zullen moeten verkassen, let wel een zeespiegelstijging die mede door de VS is veroorzaakt en verder werd en wordt aangejaagd onder de administratie van Obama en nu weer onder Trump........

Deze staten worden gechanteerd, terwijl ze eerder NB al enorm hebben geleden onder de bovengrondse kernproeven van de VS, Groot-Brittannië en Frankrijk........ De levensverwachting is in deze staten sterk teruggelopen, na de bevrijding van de Japanse overheersing tijdens WOII, zo vertelde een pater, waar deze aan toevoegde dat dit geen communistische propaganda is, maar werd vastgesteld door het VS ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken!!

Het is zelfs zo zot, dat deze staten onder druk van de VS tegen het Kyoto klimaatverdrag stemden, terwijl deze staten juist door de klimaatverandering langzaam maar zeker onder water verdwijnen!!

Met andere woorden: deze staten zouden zich uitstekend kunnen identificeren met de Palestijnse bevolking die zo enorm te lijden heeft onder de Israëlische terreur, terreur die door de VS wordt gesteund....... (en door de rest van de westerse landen, ja men durft wel eens wat commentaar te leveren op Israël, maar als de VS en Israël daarna tegen hen tekeer gaan, is het snel afgelopen met de kritiek, hetzelfde geldt ook voor de reguliere westerse [massa-] media.......)

Several countries of Oceania (also known as South Pacific Nations), or however you want to call that vast, beautiful but thoroughly devastated part of the world, have voted “for Israel”, “for the United States’ proposed resolution at the United Nations”, and therefore, “against Palestine”.


As reported on December 22, 2017 by Al Jazeera:

“The United Nations General Assembly has voted by a huge majority to declare a unilateral US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital "null and void".

At an emergency session of the General Assembly on Thursday, 128 countries voted in favour of a resolution rejecting US President Donald Trump's controversial decision on December 6.

Nine countries voted against, while 35 abstained.

Trump had earlier threatened to cut aid to UN members who would vote against his decision.”

Did scarcely inhabited island-nations that are lost in the middle of a tremendous body of water, go crazy?


After all those horrific nuclear experiments committed there, against their people, by the United States, France and the UK; could local people sincerely believe that the truth as seen from Washington is the only legitimate truth on Earth?


After the naked modern-day colonialism, which is being implemented by Australia, New Zealand, and France, and, of course, by the United States, have the people of Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia become blind?

After total dependency, after decades of humiliation and virtual slavery, do the inhabitants of Oceania believe that their fellow victims in Palestine do not have the right to live in their own state, without barbed wire; that they shouldn’t have their own historical capital?


The answer to all these question is, actually: “No”.


They do what they are doing simply and only because they have no choice.


When working on my book. Oceania, travelling all over the South Pacific, I visited a Jesuit priest and the region’s prominent intellectual, Francis X. Hezel. Our encounter took place in the capital of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) – Pohnpei.


Father Hezel has been amassing important materials and documents in his private archive, proving beyond any doubts that the US occupation of Micronesia after WWII led to a dramatic decrease of life expectancy and the standard of living of the islanders. He explained:

“Life here became shorter, and much worse than under the Japanese imperial rule. And this was not some ‘Communist propaganda’. It is written right here, in the report produced during that period by the US Department of State.”

But back to ‘voting’, or what is often called “vote selling”. Father Hezel offered a very explicit story to illustrate the reality:

“One day I had an entire television crew from Israel parked at my office. I had no idea what they were doing here. Why would they travel so far, to such a small and insignificant country? Finally I understood: the Israeli public was fascinated with this place; they wanted to know who are those people who keep voting in the U.N. against most of Security Council resolutions, in this way supporting Israel and the United States against the entire world...”

In my book Oceania, I later wrote:

“Pacific Island votes at the UN are openly for sale, especially when peace in the Middle East is at stake. To illustrate the absurdity of the game: at a time when several countries in the region are becoming uninhabitable as a result of global warming, both Nauru and Kiribati, itself one of the sinking nations and therefore a victim, voted against the Kyoto Protocol.

But it is not only profit that propels tiny nations in Oceania to sell their votes; it is also the fear of retribution.

“In the late 90’s our government voted at the UN against the US on the issue of landmines, recalled the then Foreign Minister of Marshall Islands (RMI), Tony deBrum. “As a result, our party lost the elections.””

In December 2017, out of the nine countries that voted against the UN resolution, one was the United States itself, while the other eight were: Guatemala, Honduras, Israel, Marshall Islands, FSM, Nauru, Palau, and Togo. Two were de factoUS semi-colonies in Latin America, ruled by brutal pro-Washington cliques, one a tiny and dependent African nation, while four were the Micronesian and Polynesian nations and of course, Israel.

The Pacific Island nations are selling their votes, for profit or out of fear.


The West is also using them in an attempt to isolate China.

Presently, six countries of Oceania, have fully established diplomatic relations with Taiwan, after being, as was described to me by the former Foreign Minister of RMI, Tony deBrum, “encouraged” by the West.

These countries are: Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, and Tuvalu.

At least three of them – Tuvalu, Marshall Islands and Kiribati – are at the frontline of the climate change disaster: they are becoming uninhabitable due to the global warming and consequent rising of sea level.

China is the only country that has been willing to, altruistically, help the countries of Oceania: by building anti-tsunami walls, by planting mangroves, by elevating schools, hospitals and government buildings, or by building sports facilities in places where around 90% of adults is suffering from diabetes, often due to dumping there some of the most unhealthy food from the US, Australia and elsewhere.

The more successful China got in helping South Pacific nations, the more ‘encouragement’ Taiwan received from the West; an ‘encouragement’ to come, to corrupt local ‘elites’, and to push China away. Any country that recognizes Taiwan as an independent nation gets diplomatic relations with China (PRC) broken immediately. Everyone knows it. And there is not one Western country that would take such an insane step.

After China leaves, the countries of Oceania can only rely on the pathetic, cynical and hypocritical “foreign aid” offered by the West, while their corrupt leaders negotiate with New Zealand and Australia the final ‘evacuation project’.
