Het volgende bericht komt van het blog van Stan van Houcke. Hierin een kijkje in de propagandawinkel van de NAVO. Samen met een stel oorlogshitsers en lobbyisten voor het militair-industrieel complex, legt de NAVO, middels die Atlantische Commissie docenten voor, hoe ze hun leerlingen moeten voorlichten, uh ik bedoel oplichten, nou zeg maar gerust hersenspoelen omtrent conflicten in de wereld. Ook 'de onafhankelijke journalistiek' en universitair Nederland trappen een balletje mee, in de oorlogshitserij en lobby voor de doodsindustrie, ofwel het eerder genoemde militair-industrieel complex......

ONDERWIJSCONFERENTIE UTRECHT

Op woensdag 9 maart 2016 organiseert de Atlantische Commissie haar jaarlijkse onderwijsconferentie in het Academiegebouw in Utrecht. Tot de doelgroepen van de conferentie behoren docenten (in opleiding) Geschiedenis, Aardrijkskunde en Maatschappijleer/wetenschappen uit het Voortgezet Onderwijs, en lerarenopleiders van het HBO en universiteiten. Het thema is dit jaar:

‘YES, WE CAN! WAT WORDT OBAMA’S BUITENLANDSE ERFENIS?’

Obama is begonnen aan het laatste jaar van zijn 2e termijn als president van de Verenigde Staten. Tijdens de conferentie blikt de Atlantische Onderwijscommissie terug op Obama’s presidentschap en de ontwikkelingen op het wereldtoneel in de afgelopen 8 jaar. Hoe staat het met de ‘reset’ van de relatie met Rusland? Welke strategie heeft Obama ten aanzien van Islamitische Staat ontwikkeld en hoe succesvol is deze? Hoe belangrijk is de ‘Iran-deal’ nu precies? Tevens blikken we vooruit. Wie maken er kans om Obama op te volgen, en hoe voeren kandidaten anno 2016 campagne?

Het ochtendprogramma bestaat uit plenaire lezingen. In de middag zijn er decentrale workshops en lezingen waar mogelijkheden worden aangereikt voor toepassing in de les.

Sprekers zijn onder meer Roberta Haar, Hubert Smeets, Ruud van Dijk, Tanja Groenendijk-de Vos, Kirsten Verdel, Guido van Rijn, Maaike Warnaar en Renee Nielsen.

NATO’s new spearhead force, the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), will become fully operational in 2016. What is to be expected from this force?
